Once Dr. Whale - Dr. Frankenstein - confirmed that Gretal was no longer in medical danger, Snow hurried home to quickly grab her a change of clothes.
"What do we do now?" Henry asked as the wait for her to return. "I think the curse would bring us to the Enchanted Forest, but we're still here."
The others pondered this for a second, before David answered, "To be honest, I'm not sure, but we can just take things one day at a time."
"You won't make me go back to Regina?" Henry asked, his voice small.
"Of course not!" Emma stated firmly. "She's never going to be able to hurt you ever again. You're part of this family and we're never letting you ago."
"That means Henry's our brother now, right?" Hansel asked brightly.
"Yup," Emma grinned and hugged both of her boys. "Hey, does anyone know where Killian went?"
Killian took several deep breaths and tried (in vain) not to feel sorry for himself. It was rather pitiful, being jealous of a teenage boy, but meeting his father's other son had opened wounds he thought had long since healed. Baelfire not only had their father's love, but with a bit of luck he'd get his mother back as well. Killian's hands tightened around the steering wheel as he sat motionless in his car, still parked near the library.
He ought to be with Emma, helping her find a cure for her daughter's curse, but he was falling apart at the seems. He felt guilty for that. What kind of boyfriend was he that he couldn't be with Emma when she needed him? He grit his teeth as he thought of his past failures, of how he couldn't save Liam. Now he couldn't help Emma save Ava.
Maybe he should have never come to Storybrooke. What good had he really done, honestly? With great difficulty, Killian let go of the steering wheel and leaned back in his seat, forcing himself to relax. Right now, he couldn't change what he had failed at, he had to do what he could now to help Emma and her family. He scolded himself for letting himself get to worked up about his father and half-brother. He ought to be over it by now, oughtn't he?
He folded his emotions and tucked them away, then turned on his car and started driving to the hospital. Along the way, he felt the curse break.
Belle gazed around in amazement as her husband and son led her outside the hospital. According to Adam the Evil Queen's spell had transported them with you a new strange realm was completely unlike their old one. Baelfire was hardly any more familiar with it than she was, so Adam had to be their guide.
As they stepped out into the sunlight, Belle took in the sights of the buildings, the strange machines, and the oddly dressed people. Most people would be nervous in this situation, but Belle it always had a spirit of adventure and found herself more curious then afraid.
"So, where are we going first?" she asked her husband cheerfully.
"My home," Adam replied. "Well, the place I've been living. It should suit our needs for now, until I can find a way to send us back to the Enchanted Forest."
"Don't rush on my account," Belle laughed. "I want to more about this world."
She noticed Baelfire walking beside her silent and bashful. Belle took her son's hand, which he accepted with a smile. "I know I haven't been there for you, but I promise I'll make it up to you."
"You don't have to have feel guilty," Baelfire replied. "I know you only came under the curse because you were trying to protect us. Now all that's over, and we can be a family again."
Bella kissed her forehead like she had when we was a baby.
"Yes," Adam agreed, "We can put it all behind us."
Priscilla had almost reached the hospital when the curse broke. She didn't feel different, exactly, because she already had all of her memories, but she could send that things have drastically changed. Looking around, she saw the people standing on the streets they all seemed to become confused and disoriented at the same time. Her heartbeat louder as she dared to believe that Emma had somehow done it, somehow broken the curse.
When Priscilla looks back to the hospital, she noticed Grace and her new family just coming out of the front doors. Priscilla's heart now beat so loud it was the only sound in her eardrum. Her limbs felt stiff and frozen. Now was the moment of truth.
"Mama!" Grace cried, and began running to her.
All the tension left Priscilla's body as she reached out her arms to embrace her daughter. All those years of loneliness and regret melted away at the warm press of Grace's body against her own. She was so happy, tears began to spill on her cheeks. For the first time in so many years, everything seems like it was going to be all right.
Regina sat at her office desk and downed a shot of whiskey. The abrupt burst of magic that had just rocked her off her feet confirmed her worst fear: that the curse was broken and she had lost everything. She felt confused and uncertain, she had no idea how this had happened. Worse than the feeling of powerlessness and loss of control was a crushing, unavoidable fact that Henry hated her.
She had hoped that if she could get rid of Emma, she could find a way to make her son love her and they would return to being the happy family that they had once been. All that was gone, and now there was no way to fix it. What would she do now? Even if her magic returned, she was only one magic user on the many. She couldn't used magic to make her son love her. She couldn't use magic to stop Snow and Red from tearing down her life. She couldn't use magic to save her firstborn.
She hear the sound of a crowd forming outside her window, all her victim now awake and wanting revenge. Regina took another shot and got ready for what was to come.
