AN:

Hello!

Welcome!

This is an OC X Regina story, my own character's that I've created, and her adventures/encounters with other characters in the show as was as lore from the Assassins Creed franchise. If you're not familiar with the game, feel free to explore the franchise Wiki page to get a rough idea.

This story is slight crossover with Assassin Creed, so characters will pop up every so often from the game franchise, but this story will follow the OUAT story line, with a mix of extra chapters.

There will be characters taken from the works of the bard himself, William Shakespeare.

Introducing the faceclaim for my OC as:

Scarlett Johansson (Avenger's 2012) as Amelia Montague/Smith

Just to say I love my OC character; Amelia this is the first fan fic I've put time into writing. She been a pleasure to write about over that past few years.

After 28 long year's under the Evil Queen's thumb. The Dark Curse was finally broken. The wave of light magic had pulsated through the once sleepy town of Storybrooke waking up the residents from their sleepy haze of their cursed life's.

A hooded figure stood atop the shops of main street Storybrooke looking down upon Snow White's and Prince Charming's long-awaited reunion. Brushing off the moment as she continued to run across the roofs until she got to her viewpoint. The very top of the clock tower that overshadowed the whole town. Using her sixth sense the town turned dark blue as she sought out the woman she needed to find. In the distance she saw the faint glow of the woman responsible in the quiet suburbs of town.

Her vision went back to normal as she scaled the towns clock tower and perched on the spire. She stood tall as surveyed the town. Finding the Sheriff's station. Mr. Gold's Pawn shop. Granny's Diner. The cemetery. Town Hall. The hospital. And finally, the mayor's home. Smirking to herself, she saw that the gold figure was inside the house.

Her attention was brought back to the end of main street as with a large crowd of the town's residents were gathered with home-made weapons. Rake's, shovels, pickaxes, whatever they could get their hands on after the purple smoke swept through the streets. They were calling for the Mayor's head. Climbing down from the top she joined the growing mob instantly blending into it.

Once they reached the mayor house the hooded figure silently broke away from the group unseen by the others to climbed the side of the house with ease. Watching from above Dr. Whale, or as she knew as Dr. Frankenstein banging on the front door, demanding the Queen's attention "Open up! Open up, or we're coming in!" he yelled enraged through the door. He steps back as Regina opens to door. The figure crouched down on the edge of the roof as she waited for her moment to be made known by the Evil Queen.

"Can I help you?" she heard Regina ask the Doctor hearing the wicked smirk that accompanied the question.

"That smirk isn't going to last forever, Regina" Whale told her "You took everything from us and now.."

"What? Now you're going to kill me?"

"Eventually. But first you need to suffer"

"Listening to you has been enough suffering for all of us" Regina pushed Dr. Whale off the step of the porch "That's right. You wanted to see your Queen? Well my dears. Here..She.. Is" Regina threw out her hands towards to mob in an attempt to inflict magic the crowd flinched back in fear, but nothing happened. The figure had to hold back a laugh as the Queen failed to perform magic.

"She's powerless!" the crowd shouted, "Get her!" Dr. Whale went to grab the Queen but was stopped as a figure in a hood and black and red hooded robe landed on top of the Doctor from above crouched over him with a sharp blade protruding from the figure's wrist, held up against the Doctors throat. Regina's eyes went wide in fear as she instantly recognised the figure on top of Whale.

She should have known she would come straight for her.

"She's. Is. Mine" the figure growled out with gritted teeth. The Doctor nodded hastily as the blade went back into its sheath within the gauntlet. The figure stood up before sending a quick punch into the Doctors jaw, sending him back onto the ground, still awake but in pain. The angry mob stepped back as they saw the figure they feared in the Enchanted Forest, stand up straight still over the doctors unconscious body and look at them, her deadly green eyes taking in every member of the angry mob as they waited for her next move.

Regina had never been so terrified for her life, than in that moment. She had no magic to fight off the assassin's relentless attacks and no way to escape, not with the mob already there ready to hand her over to the woman in a heartbeat if it meant they got to survive the day.

The Black Widow

Her name would strike fear into the hearts of everyone who had the unfortunate pleasure to meet her, or to be the unlucky person to be on the end of her sharp hidden blades. Stories of her slaughtering anyone that got in her way traveled throughout the Enchanted Forest like wildfire. Some, would rather be at the Evil Queen's mercy than the dear Widow's.

The figure slowly turned to face the Queen and flicked her wrists out triggering two hidden blades came out from her wrists. "Now…. where were we?" the figure said taking quick step towards the Queen making Regina step back in fear her back to hit the white pillar on her front porch. The Widow placed one of the sharp blades against the Queens pale neck while the other rested close against her stomach, feeling the sharp point through her blouse.

"Now" the Widow growled with gritted teeth "How would you like it Your Majesty?" the assassin purred into the Queen's ear as the tip of the blade being pushed uncomfortably on her stomach "Slow or Slower" the figure whispered close to the Queens ear pushing the blade into the Queens neck making a small cut of the porcelain skin. Regina could feel the figure breath on her neck. She knew what she could do, but she never thought she'd be on the receiving end her Hidden Blades.

"I'll have your head assassin" she threatened the figure.

"Someone's already tried" The figure retracted the blade from Regina's stomach and reached up to pull off the black hood that covered her face. Fiery red hair spilling out that barely reaching the women's neck "I'm afraid they missed"

"Amelia" Regina snarled through gritted teeth.

"Hello Regina" Amelia said in a sweetly tone and toothy smile until the sickly-sweet face turned serious as she pressed the blade against the Queens soft neck "Goodbye Regina"

Suddenly Storybrooke's own Sheriff and savior Emma Swan came rushing through the crowd followed by her parents and the cricket "Let her go!" the blonde shouted as she grabbed the back of Amelia black and red robe, harshly tugging her back away from the Queen making her forearm slack and her blade to retract back into her leather gauntlet Only for the redhead to flicked out the blade on her left wrist to hold it to Regina's throat as she turned to face the blonde.

"Why should I listen to you?" Amelia argued defiantly at the savior, as David and Mary Margaret pushed themselves forward glancing down at Dr. Whale who was slowly picking himself up from the assassins earlier sucker punch.

"Because I'm still Sheriff" the blonde retorted.

"And because she saved you. All of you!" David added.

"And because no matter what Regina did, it does not justify this" Mary Margaret tried to reason but Amelia scoffed at the Princess rolling her eyes.

"Oh, I think seeing her suffer just a little bit justifies thirty years of being under her thumb" Amelia finally spoke up.

Emma had to take a second look at the woman that currently held Henry's adopted mother by a knife., she knew her as the owner of Hidden One's. A bar that catered some of the towns more rougher clientele.

The redhead wore button-up shirts with jeans and boots, wearing scars littered across her arms one across her left eyebrow. Trying everyday to convince Ruby to work at the bar by flirting with the woman endlessly only for the young dark-brunette to decline every attempt. But now, she was in a black robe with a hood. Holding a blade up against the mayor that came from her wrist.

"We are not murderers here" Emma tried to convince Amelia.

"Well, we're not from this world" Whale spoke up in the Assassins' defense.

"Yeah, well, you're in it now" she turned to redhead "Let her go Amelia" she tells with the bar owner. Amelia stared the Sheriff down. Seeing Henry out of the corner of her eye she finally let up and retracted the blade from the Queens throat only for it's edge to leave a shallow cut in the skin making her flinch at the sting it made the mayor quickly covering the cut up with her hand.

David pushed Whale away from Emma "Okay, Whale. We're done" Whale pushed the prince back in defiance.

"Back off. You're not my Prince" he retorted at David.

"Who are you, Whale?"

"That's not your business Shepard" Amelia spat at him. David turned to the assassin.

"Well my business, is making sure this town doesn't go to hell" the shepherd turned Prince confronted the redhead "So, whether or not I'm your prince, isn't the issue. We have a lot to figure out, and this isn't the way to do it"

"And Regina's death won't provide any answered" the Prince's wife spoke up "She needs to be locked up. For her safety and, more importantly, for ours" Mary-Margaret proposed. The crowd began to leave the property as Amelia stood her ground in front of the Queen.

"She's not going anywhere out of my sight" the red head told the small family sternly.

"Well your more than welcome to join her, assassin" David spat at the assassin.

"Watch your tongue Shepard. My blade hasn't spilt any royal blood in years" she sneers at him.

"You can't hurt me; your damn order stops you" he stepped closer to the red-haired woman.

"You're hardly innocent, you've split just as much blood as me probably more" she seethed Emma pushed her father and Amelia away from each other.

"Enough!" Emma turned to the woman "We need to get Regina to the station, you can come with us, hell I'll even put you in a cell next to hers, just shut up and stop"

"As long as I'm the one to end her pathetic life"

"No!" Henry ripped himself out of his grandmothers' arms. He looked up to the female assassin "Please she's still my Mom" he pleaded with her "I've seen your story, I know you're not gonna hurt her" the assassin watch the young boy plead for his mother's life. Amelia scoffed and turned back to the Queen.

"Looks like your son saved your life for another day, your majesty" she scoffed gruffly and turned to leave the mansion. But Snow grabbed her arm stopping her.

"What happened to you Lia?" she asked the assassin.

Amelia looked back at the Queen with a scowl "She happened" she ripped her arm out of the Princesses hand and walked away from the Charming family.

The assassin sat herself at one of the desks in the station with her ankles crossed on the edge of the table in front of her, folded arms, leaning back in the chair as the Charming's locked Regina in one of the cells.

"So, I'm a prisoner now" the dark-haired woman stated behind the bars.

"I think the bars look good on you your majesty, really brings out your eyes" Amelia complimented her, earning a glare from the woman.

"The curse is broken. Why didn't we go back?" Charming asked the Queen.

"Because there's nothing to go back to. That land is gone" she told the group.

"We should get to Gold" Mary-Margaret suggested to the group, the agreed and went to leave. Emma stopped next to Amelia who hadn't stopped staring at Regina.

"Are you coming?"

"I'd rather cut my wrists than go see The Dark One" she answered "Besides the Queen and I need to catch up" Emma looked back at Regina worried "Don't worry death is too good for her"

"That's what I'm worried about" Emma commented as she left the two women behind.

"You look ridiculous in that here dear" Regina told the Assassin once they were alone.

"I could say that about most of your dresses back home Your Majesty, and don't get me started on the hair"

"I seem to recall you loved seeing me in it" Regina replied as the assassin's face broke into a wide smile and her eyes lit up. Regina's scowl eased into a smirk. The assassin stood up from her chair and approached the cell. She reached out and placed her hands on the Queens face tenderly cradling her face in her palms.

"Correction I loved seeing you without anything on" Amelia huskily whispered and pulled the Queen into a fierce kiss in-between the bars earning the redhead 'hmm' in content from the woman inside the jail "Thirty years is too long" Amelia hummed out once they pulled up for air.

"Indeed, it has" Regina hummed and pulled away from the red-head "But the theatrics weren't necessary dear. I had that mob under control"

"You did. But you know how much I want to hurt that damn doctor. I am one for a little flare" Amelia stroked the small cut she had made on the Queen throat with her thumb.

"Was the blade really necessary?"

"I had to make my point with hero's I think a little cut is sufficient enough to tell them" Amelia suddenly jerk forward leaning on the bars as something hit her neck making Regina jump. Amelia stood back up and reached for the item that was stuck in her neck wrenching it out of her skin making her wince in pain.

"Melia?" Regina asked concerned at her lovers' sudden pain. Amelia held her hand out and opened it to reveal dart. It was one of her own darts. Her vision becoming blurred as a voice was heard behind her, she looked back and saw Gold standing there with his cane.

"Sorry to interrupt a lover's reunion dearie. But I need to speak to the Queen without her Widow in the way" Amelia stepped forward to confront Rumplestilskin head on only to lose her her footing as the sleeping serum takes a took a hold of her body and fall to the floor.

"Melia!" Regina called out as the Assassin hit the floor in a heap. Gold approached the assassin as she tried to fight the serum. She held herself on her arms and looked up at the Dark One baring her teeth in anger. The Dark One simply kicked out at the Assassin in her face making her give out and finally give into the sleeping serum.

The curse was coming. The Black Widow headed the Queens Guard on horseback with the Queen in her carriage running from the curse's dark purple clouds. Hooves thundered on the dirt road leading to the Royal Castle. Amelia headed the Queens Guard in a tight V formation as they stormed the castles vast bridge. "For the Queen!" Amelia roared unsheathing her sword as they met the Royal front line ahead of them.

"For the Queen!" the guards roared back at their leader. This was it the final charge into enemy territory. Amelia ran ahead of the guards crouched up on her saddle as her horse raced the last hundred yard or so into the royal couples' guards. Amelia steadied her crouch as her armoured horse charged straight into the awaiting guards. Amelia sprang from her position on the horse to leap up and over the guards and landed in a roll on the other side of the defenders. She reached into her belt and took out the protype explosives. A small black ball was rolled into the middle of the guards while taking out one of her primed flintlock guns and took aim at the small ball.

"Boom" she whispered as she pulled the trigger. The pellet of lead met the black ball that had settled itself in the middle of the guards and exploded creating a large fireball outwards sending the guard outwards over the bridge or those unlucky being burnt. Amelia had to cover her face with her arm as a wave of heat rushed towards her. The explosion created a hole for the remaining Queen Guards catching up to the Assassin to easily pass into the castle grounds. Queens horses thundered passed her as they started their assault on the castle. Amelia saw the Queens carriage coming towards her.

The driver leant down with his arm and Amelia caught his arm making her vault up and over to land on the roof of the carriage as it went further into the castle grounds. Chaos was around the carriage as the guards met those loyal to the royal couple fought each other. As the carriage skidded to a stop, Amelia leapt off the roof to the door and opened the carriage door and held out a hand in front of the open door.

A pale had with dark coloured fingernails was placed in the Assassins hand. The Evil Queen stepped out of the carriage onto the castle cobblestones. "Good work with the guards Assassin"

"Thank you, my Queen"

"I take it the royal couple are in the castle" Amelia turned her to the castle as she opened her sixth sense she saw through the wall many people running from the Queens guards throughout the castle passageways. She homed in one of the towers surrounding the castle. She saw two gold figures huddling together with a third smaller figure. A child. The saviour. She saw Snow White hand the babe to Charming and run from the room where his wife was left wailing in grief. Amelia's vision went back to normal as she turned back to the Queen.

"The saviours just been born. The Prince has taken the babe and is running towards the West tower"

"Good work as always Assassin" The Queen praised the younger woman, she placed a loving hand on the woman's cheek "Soon, we'll have our happy ending, together" she smiled at the Assassin. Amelia mirrored her lovers smile and lean into her hand.

"Now go bring me Charming's head" the Queen sneered at her and took her hand away.

"With pleasure, my Queen" Amelia agreed and stepped away from the Evil Queen. Amelia held up her right gauntlet and with her left pushed a button that triggers the rope launcher in her right gauntlet aims for one of the highest windows into the castle. The rope launcher pull her up the side of the castle. Once she reached an open window she stood on the ledge and aim her rope launcher again at the West tower were Charming was headed. Amelia used it as a zipline toward the tower. With 5 tugs at the rope she propelled herself towards the open window and climbed inside.

Amelia woke back up with a start on the station floor. The memory fresh as it was yesterday. In a way it was. It was the last time she was herself that hadn't been replaced with curse memories.

"Melia!" Regina called out as she knelt on the floor inside her cell waiting for the Assassin to wake up. The redhead's green eye fluttered open as she groggily woke up from the dart.

"Regina?" Amelia whispered in confusion, her head was clouded as she felt her right hand sting in pain.

"Are you okay?" Regina asked her partner. But Amelia was still a little woozy from the sleep dart.

Bringing her right hand up to her face in the semi-darkness to see that her palm had been branded with a symbol she recognized.

"Uh oh" she squeaked, she knew what this was. The women heard something across the room.

"Hello? Who's there?" Regina called out as Amelia pulled herself up leaning heavily on the desk in front of the cell that held Regina.

"Please let that be Snow" Amelia whispered, but it wasn't true. Amelia felt the air shift. The air got colder as she could see her breath condensate. "Oh shit" she said out-load as the dark cloaked wraith swept into the station. The wraith pushed the Assassin roughly onto couch next to the cell, as it went for Regina ripping off the door to the cell to get to the former Queen. Amelia pushed herself off the coach and put herself in front of the Queen as it started to suck the Evil Queen soul from her body. Amelia pushed Regina back into the cell as the wraith turned its attention on the assassin.

Amelia felt the air in her lungs forced out of her. She heard Regina behind her just about heard the Charming's return to the station.

"Hey!" David shouted as he threw a chair towards the wraith causing it to stop sucking Amelia's soul to turn its attention towards him. The looming shadow figure began throwing furniture back at David when Mary-Margaret picked up an aerosol can. Amelia fell onto the floor in a heap. Regina saw her love fall and went to her. Amelia was struggling to breathe as Regina held her.

"Over here!" Mary-Margaret shouted as she held up the lighter in front of the aerosol can and sprayed the can while lighting the lighter creating a flamethrower hitting the wraith. The shadow screamed out in pain flew out of the widow. Emma came over and helped Regina, pick the red-head off the floor.

"What the hell was that thing?" Emma exclaimed.

"A wraith. A soul sucker" Regina told the group as Amelia grabbed onto the bars to balance herself as she caught her breath. Regina kept a watchful at the woman deeply concerned for the assassin.

"Did I-"Snow asked

"Kill it?" Amelia scoffed a laugh at the Princess while shaking her head "No, it's regenerating. It'll be back. It doesn't stop until it devours its prey, painfully I might add" Amelia rubbed her chest in pain her lungs felt like they were on fire, but she carried on "In this case me and The Queen"

"So, how do we kill it?" Emma asked the two women, she was surprised Amelia knew so much about magic.

"There's no way. Can't kill something that's already dead" Regina told them.

"Then, we have a problem" Emma told the group.

"No, we don't. Regina and her Assassin do" David argued glaring at the red-head.

"What?" Regina asked in disbelief, the group turned towards him.

"David?" Snow warned him quietly.

"I should have killed you when I had the chance" Amelia seethed at him as she turned towards him.

"You want to let them both die?" Emma asked her father.

"Why not? Then it goes away and then, we're safe" he explained to his family.

"That's quite the example you're setting for your daughter, there" Regina sent the comment towards David.

"No, you don't get to judge us" he argued.

"Let me ask you something. Where do you think that thing came from?" she asked the group.

"Gold" Amelia answered.

"I made a promise to Henry. She's not dying. No one is dying" Emma told her father.

"Neither is Lia, she's saved my life so many times I've lost count" Mary Margaret turned to her husband "If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have met you and Emma certainly wouldn't be here" Snow told David, he nodded in defeat.

Snow turned to the red-head and gave her a thankful smile to which Amelia nodded in thanks "If it can't be killed, what do you suggest?" Snow asked her step-mother and assassin, she knew the red head had extensive knowledge of magic despite not practising herself.

"Send it somewhere it can't hurt anyone" Regina told the group.

Once she landed inside the tower, she looked around and saw she was inside a nursery. A large crib stood to one side of the room with a mobile hanging over it. The mobile hung several glass unicorns. Amelia heard shuffling the other side of the room and saw a tree stump sitting. Two wooden doors were cut into it. She approached it and opened it. It had been hollowed out.

Interesting…. This must be the tree my informants told her about.

She heard more shuffling and bend down to get a better look inside. She reached out and pushed at the back of it. Surprisingly the back of it gave way revealing a small boy inside.

Amelia knew the boy instantly. It was Pinocchio. Geppetto's boy. She smirked at the boy as he stared back. He looked terrified.

"I guess there are traitors living amongst Snows most trusted. Certainly, an interesting development"

The boy whimpered. To which she only smirked more "Don't worry boy, your secret is safe with me until the royal couple find out about this treason. I'll see to It myself. Put the board back up and you need to be quieter, I don't think even Snow White would forgive your father for this plight" the boy nodded and pushed the fake back up with Amelia's help.

Amelia went back to her task and left the boy in the tree stump and ran into the hallways, she passed several of the Queens guards ran past her. She rounded a corner to see Charming fighting off two guards with his sword holding the baby in his arms. He easily fought them off sending both guards onto the ground even when holding a baby. Amelia saw that he didn't get away unscathed. He was bleeding from the wound on his chest the blood soaked his doublet.

Amelia unsheathed her sword and stepped out from the corner. Prince Charming saw her. "Nasty cut there Charming. Surrender and I'll make your death quick"

"Never" he stated "If you're gonna kill me at least let me see your face Assassin, or are too much of a coward under that hood"

Amelia reached up and pulled down her white hood. To reveal her face to him. Her long fiery hair fell around her shoulders "This good enough for you Shepherd"

"You're a woman, so Snow was right, it was you that saved her as a child" Amelia stepped forward towards the Prince.

"I may have saved her once, but I'm not that same woman now"

"I can see that" A rumble if thunder was heard coming closer to the castle.

"So are we just gonna talk, there is a curse coming, and I'd say you're running out of time"

"So, fight me"

"Gladly" Amelia swung her thinner sword towards the Prince. He easily parried it. This went on for a time until Amelia took her chance as the impaired Prince who was trying to protect his new-born and slid on her knees as he swings his sword at her a little too high. Amelia used her dagger to deeply slit the back of his calf making him fall onto his knee heavily. He used his sword and uninjured leg to stop him from falling onto the ground.

"Aaargh" the prince exclaimed in pain as Amelia stood back up and rounded the Prince in pain like a predator ready to give him the killing blow. He shakily looked up and saw he wasn't too far from the nurcery and the enchanted tree, he could make it.

"Please" he begged the Assassin "Please I need to get to the nursery, please. I know you're not like the Queen you still have your code. My daughter…she's innocent" Amelia rounded the Prince to look at the bundle in his arms and crouched down. Charming looked her in the eyes "Please I know there's good in you. And something tells me your Queen hasn't fully turned you dark"

"Why would you say that?"

"Because you haven't killed me" he pointed out "Only stopped me. Please I'm begging you" he panted through the pain.

Amelia looked at him and looked back at the babe in his arm. She hasn't even cried. "Please" he's a father protecting his child.

'Just like what Romeo tried to do for us' the voice in her head suddenly spoke up.

'Just like Henry tried to do for Regina' her thoughts turned back to Henry. He was a good man 'better than you ever will' Amelia had been devastated that his daughter blinded by hatred took her father's heart and life for a damn curse even she didn't want to happen. Even she couldn't convince her to end her vengeance once and for all but even her love for the Queen wasn't enough.

'Just like we tried to do' the next voice told her. The voice she yearned to hear again. Her heart clenched as she thoughts let the memory through.

"Please" Charming begged once again, which brought Amelia back to the situation in hand. A tear escaped from her eye as she looked at the small child.

What the hell was she doing? This isn't how she was raised, what she was taught. All the hate and ager that had imbedded her soul for so much suddenly lifted off her shoulders. A shaky breath left her lips as her world spun around her. her feet made her step away from the injured Prince holding his new born as fresh air entered her lungs for the first time in years.

She found herself she was able to breathe again. As the noise outside of swords ringing out against their rivals reached her ears, she saw the destruction they had left behind as her eyes found the knights that the prince had managed to fight off before she stopped him. So much blood. And for what?

What had she done?

Reaching into her satchel and took out a small medicine bottle and uncorked it and held it out to the Prince.

"I'm sorry" she whispered to him, he almost didn't hear "take it I'll will heal you enough for you to get the tree" he was taken aback that she knows about the enchanted tree stump.

He stared at the tears-streaked Assassin in confusion "How do I know it's not poison"

"I guess you'll have to trust me" The prince took it and dropped his sword to take the small bottle from the woman and shot it down his throat. He could feel it take effect instantly he left the wound on his calf knit back together, not fully healed but enough for him to stand on again. She stood to meet him.

"Thank you" he exasperated in relief as the pain ebbed away.

"Go, I'll stop any more guards coming your way, hurry" he nodded as he picked his word up and headed towards the nursery with a slight limp, but he stopped and turned back to see Amelia pull her hood back up over her head.

"I won't forget this." He called back "Me and Snow will be forever indebted to you with our lives"

"Run Charming. The Queen will have my head for this, then yours" she told him. Charming nodded and run toward the nursery. Amelia looked back to the corridor an saw several Queens Guard burst through the end door. She readied her sword with her right hand and held out her left unsheathing the lethal hidden blade.

"Let's dance boys" Amelia said as the guards charged at her.

The group headed to the Regina's office at the town hall. Emma walked with Regina and Amelia heading the group.

"So, who are you exactly?" the blonde asked assassin "David said something about you being an assassin?"

"I am an Assassin. My brotherhood operated in the Enchanted Forest we intervened when needed"

"Like the video game?" Emma asked the red-head.

"Game?" Amelia looked at the saviour confused and offended by the saviours naivety "The Brotherhood is not a game"

"Assassins Creed. Ever heard of it?" she pressed as the red-head shook her head "Right cursed. Never mind, so how did you end up working for Regina?"

"I saved your mother and her from being killed by mercenaries, before my Brotherhood fell apart, I found The Queen a few years later, a target put himself within her court, we made a deal. I got to kill him, and I worked for her against your parents. It's worked out so far"

"Until you betrayed me dear" Regina reminded her lover "You did let Charming go if I remember"

"He doesn't seem to remember maybe I should remind him" the redhead mumbled the last part to herself "And water under the bridge, you cursed me I'd say we're even. Anyway, you've miss me too much" Amelia teased the Queen and gave her a flirty wink to which the dark-haired woman rolled her eyes at her.

"wait you two are..." Emma pointed between the two seeing the flirty banter.

"Together? I suppose we are" Amelia answered at the Queen as they reached the town hall.

Amelia split off with David and Snow to the supply closet to create some makeshift torches. The wraith seemed to be harmed by it. "Was it true about what Regina said" the Princess asked the Assassin "about you letting David get to the wardrobe?" Snow suddenly said as Amelia was pouring liquid into a bottle.

"Yes, I did" Amelia swallowed "But it seems the Prince holds a bit of short-term memory loss, he did want me to be left for dead only ten minutes ago"

"I'll talk to him Lia. He knows how you've helped me over the years" Amelia finished the bottle and stuffed an old rag into the bottle neck.

"If he ever threatens her again my blade may find itself in his throat" Amelia warned the woman.

"Of course, I know how much you care for her"

Was she really that easy to read when it came to Regina?

"Come princess we have a shadow to banish" Amelia left the closet with the bottle and left the princess. Snow and David followed her up the stairs to find Regina in her office with Emma.

"Who's Jefferson?" Regina asked Emma as they entered the room.

"That world jumper?" Amelia answered as she and the others placed the brooms on her table. Not all her targets were in the Enchanted Forest.

"Torches- for when it comes back. I know its old fashioned, but so am I" David told the group holding up a few brooms in his hand.

"So how does this work?" Snow asked Regina.

"Are those Molotov's?" Emma asked the Assassin looking down at the glass scotch bottle she had found stuffed with a rag.

"How the hell I'm I supposed I defend myself against that thing, a flaming sword?"

"No" Regina sternly told the woman pointing at the bottles.

"I can't find the rest of my weapons" she whined to the Mayor.

"You have more?" Emma asked which Amelia shrugged off. But Regina made her way out of her office before Amelia could argue back at her.

"Fine but I'm taking the scotch" the red head snatched the bottle up removing the rag that was stuffed into the top.

"How did I know you'd do this" the menacing voice spoke from behind Amelia as she pulled out her sword from a guard and faced the Queen. Guard's lie dead or dying around her as she slowly turned around to meet the Evil Queen's dark glare that would kill on any other day.

"Vengeance has consumed you. I won't let it consume me" Amelia readied her fighting stance with her sword.

"So be it" Regina conjured a fireball in her hand and threw it at her lover hitting the woman in the chest sending her to the floor. Her armoured chest plate took most of the hit, but she couldn't move from the floor. Amelia stared at the ceiling waiting for the Queen killing blow, her robes wouldn't save her this time. The Queen blocked her view of the ceiling as she stood above the woman she loved.

"Just tell me why now?" the Queen asked from above, the hurt in her eyes made her heart break.

"She's innocent" Amelia forced out of her teeth as she felt the Queens foot press into her chest making her groan out in pain.

"So was Daniel. We could have had our happy ending in the new world"

"We could have had our happy ending in Monteriggioni, you stopped yourself from it. You are your own worst enemy Regina"

"It's your Majesty" Regina sneered pushed her heel into her lover's chest once more leaving her on the floor.

The group headed downstairs into city hall. Regina walked into the middle of the room and placed the hat on the ground as Amelia readied the broom to be lit taking them from Snow "It will open a portal to our land. All we have to do is send the wraith in there"

"Oh, yeah. Just that." He retorted sarcastically as Amelia used the lighter to set a broom alright and gave it to Emma.

"I don't understand. I thought our land was gone?"

"It is. But sending it to a place that no longer exists. Well, that banishing it to oblivion" Regina said with a smirk kneeling over the velvet hat.

Amelia looked around the rooms as the lights began to flicker out. They looked across the room to a pair of glass double doors as they heard the wraith approaching. Amelia lit up the rest of the brooms and gave one to Snow and David. The lights went out as Regina started to try and open portal. Amelia stood in front off the side of Regina ready with her broom. The assassin could hear her struggling to get the hat to work.

"Regina" Emma pressed the Queen as the wraith came closer. Regina got the hat slowly spinning on the floor.

"I'm trying" she answered the blonde as the doors burst open as Amelia covered her face as a gust of wind blew through the room. The wraith entered the room. She and David approached the wraith together. Both the prince and assassin waved their brooms towards the dark creature. Behind them Snow grabbed the bottle of scotch Amelia brought down and poured its contents over the railings that divided the room.

"David!" Snow shouted at him wanting him to light the banister. Amelia saw that the wraith kept going for the Prince ignoring her. Amelia stepped towards the creature clear of the dividing rail.

"Hey!" Amelia held up her hand up to the creature that bore its symbol "Its me you want, you bastard!" the wraith listened to her.

"Lia No!" Snow tried to protest but went ignored as the assassin waved her broom at the creature. With the wraith distracted David pulled the barrier across completely dividing the room and put the lit broom on it catching it on fire.

"Hurry!" he told them.

"Its not working!" Regina yelled back as she continued to try and open the portal.

He turned back to see that the wraith had the assassin against the wall by her neck continuing its work from earlier that night Amelia screamed in pain as her life was once more being pulled out of her "Hey!" he brought its attention back to him as Amelia slid down the wall onto the floor in a heap. Her vision blurred as she pushed herself to continue holding it back from Regina.

"Its not working" Regina looked up to see Amelia struggling holding onto the wall for support. As the wraith continued to fight David.

"What's the problem" Emma stood over the former Queen.

"Magic.. its different here" she told her panicking.

"Now would be the time. Amelia isn't looking so good!" Emma looked up to see the assassin once again on the floor struggling to stand let alone fight. Emma brushed her fingers on Regina's shoulder as the hat suddenly began to work. the hat began to spin faster, and a purple vortex appeared from it.

"it's coming!" David announced as the wraith got past him to get to Regina.

"Regina!" Emma shouted as she pushed the woman away, causing the wraith to fall through the portal. However, it grabbed Emma's ankle and dragged her through the portal. The last thing Amelia heard was the parents protest and Snow jumping into the portal after her daughter.

Amelia fell onto the floor dead to the world as Regina rushed over to the woman. The fire had gone out after the wraith went through the portal. Regina kneeled over her love and checked for pulse. There was one, strong as well. She sighed in relief as she brushed a piece of Amelia's short hair out of her face. From across the hall David had gotten up and stalked towards the kneeling woman.

"Where are they?!" he growled at her as she stood back up and stood in front of her sleeping lover.

"I have no idea" she told him.

"Are they dead?"

"The curse – it destroyed all the lands"

"Are they dead?!" he shouted in her face in his grief.

"I don't know"

"I should've killed you myself" he threatened her angrily.

"Well, then. What's stopping you?" Regina threw David across the room with her magic. Vines magically protruded from the rooms wallpaper, holding David in place while attempting to strangle him.

"You think you're some heroic prince? Please. You're nothing but the son of a shepherd. Melia should've killed you when she could. I won't make the same mistake. And now I can" Regina continued to strangle David until she heard a voice from the door. she looked to see Henry stood there with Ruby.

"Mom?"

"Henry, what are you doing here?" Unbeknownst to Regina Amelia had woken up hearing the voices and saw how David was struggling to breathe, she unsteadily stood up and made her way towards the Prince, stumbling on her weak legs on the way. Regina had turned to speak to her son. Amelia stood up with a hand on the wall next to David and used her hidden blade to break the vine that was around his neck.

"Its okay. You're safe now" she tried to reassure her son as the vines disappeared around David making him fall down. Amelia used the strength to catch him as Ruby came running to steady him on his feet. Ruby saw how weak Amelia was and put her arm around her waist to steady her as her foot gave out from under her.

"W-Where's my mom and where's.." Henry started not seeing his birth mother and grandmother.

"They're gone. They fell through a portal. They're… Henry. I'm sorry"

"No, you're not. You really are the Evil Queen. I don't want to see you again"

"No, don't say that. I love you" she told her son. Amelia's heart broke for the woman as she put her arm around Ruby.

"Then prove it. Get Emma and Mary Margaret back. And until then, leave me- leave everyone alone" Henry told her.

"But where will go?" Regina asked her son.

"With me" David spoke up. David, Ruby and Henry left leaving Amelia alone with Regina in the town hall.

Out of her robe and hood. Amelia ventured to Mary-Margaret's apartment and knocked on door. David opened the door to find the red-head at the door back in her civilian clothes.

"What do you want?" David asked her, narrowing his eyes in suspicion "Did Regina ask you to come here?

"I came here to see Henry" she answered him "And…to thank you for tonight"

"Really?"

"I try and remember those people who help me when I'm in trouble, I find it balance's out karma"

He let a sigh "I deserved that. I'm sorry I was just trying to protect my family"

"Apology accepted. I would have done the same thing. Family is a precious thing to have. Can I come in and see him?"

"Lia?" a small voice inside called out to her. Amelia raised her eyebrow asking the prince again. He sighed and opened to door for her to step inside. Henry was sat at the dining room table with a photo frame in front of him. Amelia saw it was a photo of Emma and her mother before the curse broke. Amelia sat on the chair next to him with David hovering nearby.

"Hey Henry" she greeted hm with a smile, he looked up at her doe eyed and sad. No wonder Regina fell for him.

"Did my Mom send you here?" the young boy asked her.

"She didn't. I came over to see how you were"

"I'm okay David says that they're alive. I have faith" pointing at he photo's. the corner of her mouth quirked up.

"I'd put good coin on that as well. Your whole family has always had faith in the impossible. You always found each other in the end. Something I wish I had a long time ago" Amelia told the boy. He continued to look at the photo as she spoke to him. She raised her hand and gently placed it on the top of his head making him look at her. She slid her hand to the back of his head.

"They'll both come back Henry. You have my word. I'll help your grandfather. I'm sorry you lost them so quickly after finding them. I may not have magic myself, but I'll move heaven and earth to return them to you, it's the least I could do for your family" she told him.

Henry suddenly stood up and threw his arms around her neck and hugged her. She put her arms around him as she held onto him tightly. Amelia saw David behind Henry and mouthed a 'thank you' at her as she mouthed a 'your welcome' at him.

The next few days would certainly be challenging for the whole town. She knows how Regina can hold a grudge. Even Henry wasn't completely safe from her wrath.

Hell, hath no fury than a woman scorned.

Amelia returned to Regina's mansion, after leaving the loft. Before she left Henry had given Amelia the storybook that held all their stories. She stepped into the hallway to see her black and red assassins robe on her coat hanger. Regina was right, she did look a little silly in it, in this world. She climbed the stairs two at a time and found the master bedroom.

Slowly opened the door to see Regina in her night clothes sitting at her vanity brushing her shorter hair in the mirror. Amelia walked up behind her and placed her hands on the woman's shoulder and slid her hands over Regina's chest over her silk dressing gown. Regina put the brush down as she saw the red- head the mirror, turning in her seat to face the assassin.

"I thought you left"

"I'll never leave you" Amelia repeated her promise she made to her years ago "remember?"

"Yes, I do" Regina nodded.

"But that doesn't mean that I can stand by you and let you hurt people"

"So, you're on their side now" she accused the redhead.

"I'm not on anyone's side Regina, what happened to Emma and Snow could have got so much worse, you need to tell me, is our land still there?"

"Yes" Amelia saw the former Queen was telling the truth and sighed in relief, they had so much to get through before they could back to the place they were before the curse.

"I should go" Amelia turned to go before Regina stopped her. Amelia looked at Regina.

"Stay… for tonight at least. I'd feel safer if you were here" Amelia nodded while re-entering the bedroom and closing the door behind her. She walked around the to the side she would always sleep on with Regina.

Removing her boots and jeans and buttoned top she was left in her underwear and tank- top as she slid into the bed next to Regina and turned onto her side to face her Queen. Regina instantly took her left arm, stroking the lion tattoo on her forearm as she always did when they shared a bed.

"I missed you" Regina whispered to the red-head as the latter's eyes started to droop from fatigue of the day.

"I know. Me too" Amelia replied. Regina settled on her back with Amelia left arm still in her clutches and let her eye close. Before she fell asleep Regina heard red head whisper;

"Henry's a good name"
