A couple of days had passed by and it was about to be nighttime. The huntsmen were prepared to be on the lookout for the Big Bad Wolf. Rogue was headed to the station where he had to check in with the chief Gildarts Clive before he went out.

Over the years Rogue has worked as a hunter, Rogue has always kept Gildarts up-to-date on his woods patrols. Because he was the only hunter to go far in the woods, Gildarts always asked to inform him.

He would tell him if he ever found anything strange in the woods, odd behavior from people, wolf tracks, etc. Rogue had to be kept tongue tied because he couldn't tell Gildarts everything about what he knows. He would be proud to say that Gajeel was the wolf but he didn't want anybody in the village to get hurt.

He entered the station where he had seen huntsmen equipped in their armor and sharpening their weapons.

Most were leaving to head to the woods while he was heading to Gildarts office in the back. He was amazed that Gildarts was able to juggle two jobs. Working as a bartender during the day and a huntsmen at night.

He peaked in Gildarts office to see he was also putting on his armor. Rogue knocked on the side of the wall to alert Gildarts about his presence. Gildarts looked up at him and smirked.

"Rogue, good to see you, I actually need to talk to you about something," he said grabbing his axe. That was odd, Gildarts never had nothing to talk to Rogue about.

"What is it sir?" Rogue asked standing up straightly out of respect. "Ok, how do I say this...have you noticed a couple of our huntsmen going missing over the past couple of days?" Gildarts sternly asked Rogue.

"No sir I haven't, have you asked the other huntsmen?" Rogue checked.

"I've asked all the other men and they said they haven't seen them. They all of sudden went missing out of nowhere," he informed.

"Maybe it could have been the wolf that killed them," he said nervously out of the thought that there might be another threat. "It couldn't have been the wolf because there are no signs of its attacks. It always leaves big scratch marks and bites on the person, but there has been no body for us to examine," Gildarts said.

"I know for a fact the wolf doesn't eat the whole body," Rogue said now thinking about.

"That's exactly what I've thought, but since you haven't seen any of the bodies, I guess I can let you off the hook," Gildarts said unsure. Rogue was about to leave Gildarts office until he looked back at him.

"Why are you suspecting it was me?" Rogue suspiciously asked Gildarts. "No reason, I've simply asked all the other huntsmen, but you may be dismissed Cheney," Gildarts sternly said.

Rogue then had left Gildarts office and headed towards the woods. Gildarts had seemed to specifically suspect that he had anything to do with the missing bodies. He was surprised Gajeel didn't have anything to do with this.

Gajeel had always seemed to leave behind a bunch of evidence. Was there a new threat he had to be worried about?

Rogue had passed by a couple of huntsmen that stood in their position. He decided that he was going to stick with them tonight to see what Gildarts was talking about.

He had to have suspect it was the wolf, when it attacked you would notice because the person would scream out for help.

It was strange that during their shift some hunters would disappear without a trace of blood or shattered bones. Everyone in the village knew each other, so that they would see if someone was missing. In addition, families would report their absence.

Rogue stood in position alert and ready! That was until he felt a come around his neck. "Oh look who decided to join the rest of the group tonight," he heard a familiar voice say. He looked to his side to see it was Sting who was smiling.

"Shh we have to remain quiet," Rogue whispered trying to get Sting to lower his voice. "Rogue the wolf is not even around the area yet, but I'm wondering why you're out here tonight?" Sting questioned as Rogue sighed.

"I'm out here because of the hunters that have gone missing. I wasn't in the area when it happened," he said defending himself. "Oh, I'm guessing Gildarts talked to you about it," Sting guessed.

"He has, but I have a feeling he is specifically suspecting that it was me," Rogue responded. Sting gave him an odd look out of curiousness. "What makes you think he suspects it was you?" Sting questioned.

"It was just the tone he had as if he didn't believe when I said I didn't do it," Rogue exclaimed. "Well can you blame him Rogue?" Sting asked scratching the back of his head.

"What's that supposed to mean, do you not believe me either?" Rogue sternly asked.

"It's hard to believe you because I never see you around when we're on the look out," Sting told him.

"I tell you guys that I always go out further so I can catch the wolf during the day and at night," Rogue tried to defend. "Oh yeah and how's that working out for you? It's been what, almost 3 years since you've started traveling far out into the woods. And you haven't caught the wolf yet," Sting hissed.

"Why wouldn't Gildarts suspect it's you? You never show up to the scene of the crime, you're always gone all day, and you've been acting suspicious lately. I bet you can't even name all the men that went missing from this suspicious attack," Sting clarified.

Rogue was quiet because he didn't know what to say to defend himself. Sting had a good point and they started to notice all the other hunters staring at them. They had seemed to calm down from their argument and stay on high alert for the wolf.

A couple of hours had went by and nothing was happening. Fog started to come in making it hard for the hunters to see at night. Rogue could only see the shadows of the hunters that were near him.

As the night went on more fog started to come in making it even harder for them to see. It got to the point that Rogue couldn't see none of the hunters that were close by him. He couldn't even see Sting at this point.

Rogue began to step small where Sting was, and he saw that Sting was not where he saw him last. It's like he's gone out of sight and out of mind. "Sting!" he exclaimed attempting to see if he could be heard by his best friend.

Rogue didn't see any of the other hunters which made him question where they might have gone? He continued to move away from where he was to go to look for them.

His heart beat, out of fear that something could have happened to all of his fellow hunters and he didn't notice one bit of it.

Everything started when the fog entered the game, but he didn't hear anyone coming in the vicinity. In that case, he didn't even hear anyone leaving the area.

Then he heard something swoosh, and Rogue began to go the way he thought the monster was going. His weapon was ready and he was ready to meet this odd monster. He could hear the monster's quick feet and imagined his fellow hunters might be close, too, to where the creature runs.

"Sting!" Rogue yelled to see if he could receive a reply.

"Rogue!" someone cried out for rescue. "Rogue!" Sting's voice sounded like that. He sounded frightened and needed help. Could the wolf have mauled them?

He stopped in his tracks when he felt something pass by him. He didn't notice what it was because it went by so quick. Another had passed by him and Rogue started to swing his axe like a manic.

He screamed and kept running while still swinging his axe because he didn't want the mysterious creature to grab him. When he felt something hit his foot, he swung his axe and his something. He couldn't clearly see so he started to repeatedly swing his axe at the body.

He kept going and going until he felt someone attack him from behind. He was trying to get out of the person's grip but he was pinned to the ground and he shook out of fear. "What the fuck are you doing Rogue?" he heard a man's voice.

Rogue took a deep breath and open his eyes to see it was Gildarts who had him pinned to the ground. He looked around the area to see he was in front of his house. He heard all the other hunters coming to back up Gildarts.

When they arrived they were shocked at what they had seen. The fog had cleared up a little for them to see clearly now. They had saw blood on Rogues ax, his best friend Sting and other hunters dead on the ground, and Gildarts pinning Rogue to the ground.

You could hear murmurs of them all talking about the scene. Some went to investigate to through Rogue's house and other's checked on the dead hunters. Rogue was breathing hard and he started to cry.

"Gildarts, we found something you might want to come check out," one of the hunters said. "Keep him pinned down!" Gildarts ordered as two other hunters took Gildarts place.

He went to check with what the other hunters found. They had the bottom of Rogue's downstairs basement open. In that basement, they all saw all the other huntsmen that went missing over the pass couple of days.

"I knew it, it was you all along!" Gildarts sternly said.

Well,"Gildarts you're mistaken, it wasn't me, I didn't do that," Rogue yelled. "He's lying Gildarts, he was arguing with Sting before we all went patrolling," one of them said.

Gildarts looked at Rogue in disappointment. The one person he had trusted let him down. "That's all I needed to know, take him in!" he ordered glaring at Rogue.

"But Gildarts it wasn't me, I had nothing to do with this, it was the wolf, IT WAS THE WOLF GOD DAMMIT!" Rogue yelled as he was being carried away to the Magnolia jail.

Deep in the dark woods, there was a big wolf who smiled at the scene of Rogue being taken away. Everything had went exactly how he planned! "Bye bye Rogue!" he smirked.
