Sitting in Nick's living room, Judy enjoyed her chat with Delilah. The world-traveled okapi (Judy still wasn't 100% sure what an okapi was) had wonderful stories to tell, especially about all the impressive vacations Landon had taken her on. Her mate had taken her to see the Roman Colosseum, Athens in Greece, the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids of Giza, the steppe-pyramids of the Mayan Civilization in Belize and Guatemala, the Grand Canyon of Western Animalia, Niagara Falls at the Border of Canada and New York, Mammoth Caves in Eastern Animalia and then Carlsbad Caverns in the Southwest Animalia—one being the longest cave system in the world (over 400 miles and counting) and the other having the largest single cavern in Animalia.

Landon usually took Delilah on two vacations a year—one in summer and one in winter—but if he was traveling for a business conference and it took him near an interesting place, he would fly Delilah in at the end of the conference so they could spend a few days touring the site. And while talking to Judy, Delilah promised to take Nick and Judy with them on their next vacation. Having another pred-prey couple on their trip would be less suspicious as others would just think they were a bunch of friends on vacation instead of a controversial couple to point at and whisper behind their backs (and that's when the mammals were being nice).

Judy readily agreed and mentioned how she always wanted to go to the British Isles and visit Stonehenge and many of the castles and historical sights there. Delilah agreed that the British Isles would be a delightful place to visit and said she would talk to Landon about going there on their next vacation and see if Judy and Nick could join them.

Judy was super excited but had to point out that their schedule for this summer was pretty booked up and that Nick was going to be at the ZPA this fall and winter. Delilah nodded while thinking they'd have to save their conjoined trip for next spring. Maybe they could go to celebrate Nick's graduation. While thinking of the best time to plan their trip, she looked at the time. After pointing out how late it was getting, Judy got a little worried. Nick should have been home long before now. After pulling out her phone, Judy called him up. Nick answered fairly quickly and said they had to make a stop in Tundratown but were headed home now.

"Nick, are you in some kind of trouble?" Judy asked. Why else would he be all the way out in Tundratown—which was mob territory?

Nick's ears flicked back. "No, I'm not in trouble. I just needed my mom's help with getting something ordered. But don't ask me what it was because it's a surprise."

Judy was quiet for a moment, then a smile spread across her face. "Is this surprise small, round, and sparkly?"

Nick scowled. "Maybe. Now stop asking questions, we'll be home soon."

"Okay," Judy said with a giggle. "But just to let you know, we have a guest." Glancing at Delilah, Judy gave the okapi a wide smile.

"A guest?" Nick repeated. "Who?" Besides Finnick and Amy, Nick couldn't think of anyone else who would stop by today.

"I don't think you've met her before, but you do know her husband."

"Her husband? What's his name?"

Judy merely laughed. "Hurry home and you'll find out. Bye."

"Wait, Judy you can't—" Briefly glancing down at his phone, Nick muttered, "She hung up on me."

Vivian laughed beside him. "I see she likes to give you a taste of your own medicine." Reaching over to mess his head fur like she did when he was a kit, she added, "I like her already."

Nick dropped his phone in his cupholder and shooed his mom's paw away from his fur. "I already told you she does."

Vivian laughed again. "Yes, but I had a hard time picturing it. But seeing it in person makes it all real and lets me see that Judy has a backbone." Glancing sideways at her son, she added, "You need a female with a backbone to keep you in line."

Nick chuckled again. "She certainly has a backbone, but I think I'm corrupting her." With a cheeky grin at his mom, he added, "Judy can't get enough of my criminal paws or sinful tongue and teeth."

Vivian rolled her eyes. "I still can't believe how physical you two already are. That a rabbit wants to be that physical with a fox."

Nick shook his head. "Trust me, Mom, no one is more surprised than Judy and I, but when we're together, it just feels so natural to reach out and touch her. To hold her close and taste her. It feels as natural as breathing."

Vivian studied her son for several heartbeats, then shook her head. With a sigh, she replied, "Well, I guess I'll believe it once I see it."

Nick grinned in response, then turned his attention back to the road. They weren't far from the house now and he couldn't wait to see his honeybun again and to discover who their mystery guest was.

About 10 minutes later, they turned down Cypress Grove Lane, and then it was just a couple more minutes till they pulled into the long driveway. Vivian was impressed by the trimmed hedges and freshly mowed lawn. In the past, whenever she came by the house, it was always a hit and miss on whether Nick had done the yardwork. And the last time she was here, almost 2 years ago, the yard had gone to the weeds and the house's paint was starting to look faded and about ready to peel.

But looking the house over now, Vivian was happy to see it freshly painted and the new colors Nick had picked for the trim—a dark forest green and a pansy purple—was a nice a change from the previous blue and really set the house apart. The previous blue was pretty, but it had been the color Honey had chosen, but now, Nick had finally added his own personal touch to the house. Well, his and Judy's personal touch, anyways. It didn't escape Vivian's attention that the trim was the same color as their eyes.

Pulling up next to the large, sleek sedan which was a dark royal purple in color, Nick turned the jeep off and stared out the window. He couldn't even begin to imagine who their large visitor might be.

Turning to his mom, he asked, "Well, are you ready?"

Vivian had been gazing at the large dark sedan, too, but at Nick's question, she met his gaze and gave a nod. "No time like the present."

With a smile, Nick hopped out and then pulled his mom's suitcase from the backseat. Offering his arm to his mom, Nick led her up the steps to the house. Vivian's nose twitched as the strong scent of fresh paint hit it, along with the faint scent of a couple dozen different predators. Glancing at her son, she realized he must have done all the yardwork and the house painting just this morning, nor did Nick do it himself. That was something that always impressed Vivian about her son—his ability to delegate and get a group of mammals together to accomplish something he needed done.

As Nick opened the door, he led his mom inside, his own nose twitching at the unfamiliar scent in the air. Looking towards the couch, he was surprised to see a large okapi sitting in his house. Stranger still was the fact Judy had said he knew the okapi's husband. Nick didn't know any male okapis, none personally anyways.

For starters, there weren't many okapis living in Zootopia, and the ones that did were all extremely shy and lived deep in the heart of the Rainforest District, with them rarely coming out in the public's eye. The only okapi he had seen around the city was on the City Council, but she was single as far as he knew.

Nick blinked as his okapi guest turned to look at him. She looked an awful lot like the council member he'd seen on tv.

Seeing Nick's eyes widen, Judy decided to introduce them as she was super excited to see Nick's response once he found out they weren't the only—or even the first—pred-prey couple in Zootopia. "Nick, this is Delilah Aukstas from the City Council." As Nick took Delilah's outstretched hoof to shake, Judy added, "She's married to Landon Tiogair."

Nick's eyes grew big as saucers as his ears splayed out in surprise. Taking his paw back to point at her with one of his black claws, he exclaimed, "You're married to Landon Tiogair! From Hybrid Innovations! But you're both single!"

Delilah giggled at Nick's shocked expression. "We were married in Africa when Landon took me to visit a small village where I spent much of my youth. Upon returning to the city, we didn't bother to register our marriage for fear it might interfere with our careers. So to keep the city clueless about our relationship, I let everyone think I live with my sister, who happens to be renting a cottage on Landon's property. She's also Landon's gardener, so I have every reason and excuse to be at his home."

Nick's jaw just about hit the floor, but then his mom came up behind him and nudged him in the back, saying, "You'll swallow a fly if you keep your mouth open like that."

Nick snapped his jaw shut but continued pointing at Delilah. "But she's married to Landon Tiogair! Do you know how many hearts are going to be broken when their relationship comes out!? He's one of Zootopia's most eligible bachelors!"

Vivian rolled her eyes, even as Delilah asked, "Well, how are they going to find out? Are you going to tell them?"

Nick immediately straightened up and folded his arms, even as his tail flicked behind him. "No way! If you're married to Landon, that's your business and the rest of Zootopia can just stick it for all I care."

Delilah smiled at Nick's response, but then Vivian stepped up and offered her paw, saying, "Hi, Delilah, I'm Vivian Wilde. It's a pleasure to meet you. I take it you know about my son and his bunny, then."

With a flick of her large ear, Delilah shrugged. "Well, Judy does smell like a fox instead of a rabbit, so it was pretty obvious to me, especially since Landon always smells more like me in the morning than a feline."

Vivian nodded her understanding and then Delilah said, "Judy mentioned you would be coming home with Nick, and I don't want to take up too much of your time, but I wanted to personally thank Nick." Shifting her focus back to the todd in question, Delilah said, "Thank you so much for what you did in helping Judy uncover Bellwether's insidious plot and bringing her to justice." Putting a paw over her heart while thinking of the nightmare Bellwether tried to plunge the city into, she added, "You have my sincerest gratitude for keeping Judy alive long enough to stop that evil ewe."

Nick nodded. "Well, in helping Judy it turns out I was helping myself." Glancing over to meet his honeybun's warm gaze, he added, "In more ways than one." Then he licked his chops. Judy giggled as Nick made his way over to her. Reaching down to pick her up, he plopped down on the couch and dropped her in his lap. Judy immediately relaxed into his embrace, even as she smiled brightly up at him. Vivian then walked over and sat down beside them.

Ignoring everyone else in the room, Nick reached up and scratched lightly behind her ears. Judy closed her eyes and leaned into the gentle caress. Grinning at Judy's blissful expression for several moments, he then looked over at Delilah. "So, we're not the only pred-prey couple in the city."

Delilah chuckled lightly. "Not by a long shot." Grinning brightly, she added, "Landon and I have been a couple for nearly a decade now."

Nick dropped his paw down to his side, even as his jaw went slack again. "You've been able to hide your relationship for that long!?"

With a shrug, Delilah added, "Like I said, everyone thinks I live with my sister who is Landon's gardener. Landon's property also covers 20 acres of fenced land, so there's no possibility of anyone seeing that I live at the main house and not with my sister in the cottage."

Nick shook his head. "Still, ten years is a long time to keep such a monumental secret a secret."

Delilah chuckled again. "We have had some close calls, but everything always seems to work out in the end."

With a nod, Nick glanced down at Judy. He knew there was no way they could keep their relationship a secret for almost ten years. Heavens! They couldn't even keep their relationship a secret for a week before both Clawhauser and Delilah found them out! How in the world were they going to last until after his graduation!? Especially once winter hits!? Being stuck at the Academy while his mate was in Zootopia was going to kill him.

Delilah watched the two small mammals from where she sat on the other couch and nearly burst with excitement to see how easily they moved together. Unlike so many prey mammals she'd seen sitting close to a predator, there was no uncertainty or awkwardness with Nick and Judy—their movements were as natural as breathing.

Not letting the cute couple get too lost in each other, Delilah spoke up. "I heard from Judy that you two will be getting married next week. Congratulations."

Nick nodded as a bright smile lit up his face. Squeezing Judy tight, he said, "We're thinking of holding the ceremony on Wednesday evening."

Delilah nodded, but then Vivian spoke up. "Wednesday? Why are you waiting so long? With as pawsy as you say you are, I was sure you'd be getting married Monday . . . or Tuesday at the latest."

Nick's ear flicked. "Judy has to get her stitches out on Monday, and then I have a meeting with Bogo after that. We don't have anything planned for Tuesday, but the city is holding another press conference on Wednesday morning that Judy and I have to attend." With a shrug, he added, "We have nothing else going on the rest of the week after that, so Wednesday was the earliest we could get married and not worry about interruptions for the next several days."

Vivian thought for a moment, then suggested, "Since you're flying out to the cabin afterwards, why not get married on Tuesday evening. You'll just have one interruption, and then you can fly out to your cabin a day earlier." Giving her son and his bunny a critical eye, she stated, "I doubt you two will be ready to come home after only 3 days."

Nick and Judy both blushed as they both knew Vivian had a point. "She's right, Nick," Judy murmured. "If we get married on Wednesday, we won't be able to head to the cabin till Thursday late morning or early afternoon." Judy knew they wouldn't be getting out of bed early the day after their wedding. While running her paws down Nick's chest and smoothing out his shirt, she added softly, "I like the idea of getting up there a day earlier." Glancing up with desire sparking in her beautiful, amethyst eyes, she said, "I like the idea of getting married a day earlier even better."

Seeing the desire in Judy's eyes sparked a hunger in his own, even as Nick considered the ideas she was presenting. There was no way he was going to let Judy leave the bed early the morning after their wedding. Feeling something start to stir down below his belly, he watched Judy lick her lips and knew she'd felt it, too. "Uh, yeah, Tuesday would be better."

Swallowing down a mouthful of saliva, Nick was picturing Judy on their wedding night and started mentally cursing that they didn't have the whole week free.

Seeing a familiar look on Nick and Judy's face, Delilah figured she better get their minds on something else. "Tuesday sounds like the perfect day for a wedding." As Nick and Judy glanced over to meet her gaze, Delilah asked, "Do you have a place where you can hold the ceremony?"

Nick jerked his head towards the back of the house. "I have a huge backyard and a gazebo behind the garage. We were planning to hold the ceremony there."

Delilah nodded, then asked, "You are holding a very small, private fox wedding, then?"

Nick's ears canted to the side as he glanced down at Judy, who said, "Well, Daphyd will be here to marry us, and then Clawhauser is bringing the cake and giving me away."

Nick nodded, then looked over at his mom. "Are you going to stick around for the wedding?"

Reaching over to place her paw on Nick's shoulder, Vivian exclaimed, "Oh, Son, I was hoping you would ask."

Nick grinned, but before he could reply, Judy took Vivian's paw and said, "I would be truly honored if you were there for our wedding, Vivian."

Nick's grin widened at seeing his mom's shock at Judy's heartfelt sincerity. Being a fox, it took some getting used to when someone, especially prey, was as sincere as Judy was.

Blinking her eyes at Judy's warm invitation, Vivian nodded, then said, "Okay, I guess it's settled then. I'm staying for the wedding." Taking Judy's paw in her own, she added, "I can even help you into your wedding dress and with getting all dolled up." As a thought struck her, Vivian's ears flicked back as she glanced at her son. "You do have a dress for Judy, don't you, Nick?"

"As a matter of fact, I do." With a huge grin on his face, Nick looked down to see the shock on Judy's face.

"You do!?" Judy exclaimed.

Reaching up to run his fingers up her long, velvety ears, he explained, "One of the dresses Fru-Fru dropped off was all in white." Booping her nose, he added, "I'm pretty sure she gave it to you in the hopes you would need it, though I doubted she expected you to use it before using the other five dresses."

Judy was practically bouncing in his lap as her excitement went through the roof. "Excluding the wedding dress, we only have three dresses left to use." Running her paws up and down Nick's shirt, she added, "We'll just have to go on those dates after we're married."

Grabbing her twitching tail in one paw, Nick agreed. "Oh, trust me, we are. But the other dates I have planned require the use of both your legs." Tapping her leg next to her exposed wound, he added, "So we have to get these stitches out first . . . and get back from our honeymoon."

Vibrating in excitement, Judy pulled Nick down for a hot kiss while thinking of all the dates Nick still planned to take her on. But before that, she had their honeymoon at his cabin to look forward to. While thinking of the honeymoon, Judy shifted on Nick's lap so she was straddling his thighs, then pushed herself up into the kiss.

Nick didn't waste any time running his paws up and down Judy's back as he pulled her closer, even as he kissed her back with equal passion.

Delilah's smile couldn't get any bigger at seeing Nick and Judy's passionate embrace. It reminded her so much of how she and Landon still acted, even after all the years they'd been married.

Vivian, on the other paw, was flabbergasted. Even though Nick had repeatedly told her how eager Judy was for his touch and kisses, it was still a shock to see it in person. And it was obvious now that her son had not been exaggerating. Having only ever seen Judy on the news when she was vilifying every predator in Zootopia, Vivian couldn't imagine the rabbit cop actually wanting to feel and taste a fox, and certainly not marry one. And yet, here the rabbit was demanding her son's hungry kisses and passionate caresses. It was certainly going to take some time getting used to the sight.

Pulling back to replenish her dwindling oxygen supply, Judy tried to push her suddenly raging hormones back down. They had guests and now certainly wasn't the time to indulge in her Nick fantasies. Trying to get her mind on something else, she licked her lips and said, "Now get your tail upstairs and bring down my wedding dress. I want to see it."

Nick chuckled while trying to get his own hungry emotions under control. "Yes, ma'am," he said with another chuckle. Standing up, he plopped Judy back on the couch, then hurried up the stairs to grab the dress.

As Nick disappeared up the stairs, Judy realized she had just attacked Nick while his mother was sitting right next to them. She was mortified. What must Vivian think of her?

Judy had never considered herself a shameless rabbit before, and even scoffed at other bunnies who struggled to keep their paws off their significant others—and yet here she was, shamelessly having a tongue war with Nick when his mother was sitting barely a foot away from them. She could no longer deny the proof of her own actions—she, Judith Laverne Hopps, was a shameless, greedy rabbit who couldn't keep her paws off her mate.

Vivian watched Judy's ears drop to her back as they turned bright, candy-apple red, even as the bunny started twiddling her thumbs anxiously. Vivian didn't need to be a rocket scientist to guess at the cause of the rabbit's unease.

Reaching over, she took one of Judy's paws and, when the bunny glanced her way, Vivian said, "It's nice to finally meet you, Judy. Nick told me so much about you, and I admit, some of it was hard to believe—but it was always clear to see how happy you made him. And if he makes you just as happy in return, then I'm happy for both of you." With a knowing look and flick of her white-tipped tail, she added, "Even if it's a struggle keeping your paws and mouth off my son."

Judy had started smiling at Vivian's acceptance, but with the vixen's final words, Judy's smile disappeared. Grabbing her ears, she looked at the floor and groaned. "I know I'm awful. I was never this shameless before. I always had a plan and a to-do list a mile long and I had to work twice as hard as everyone else to get what I wanted and it felt like I always had to be the responsible one. I hardly ever had time for anything fun or exciting, but then I met Nick and everything's changed."

Tugging on her ears while running her sentences together, Judy added, "Everything I thought was so important no longer is and with Nick I don't have to be responsible all the time and I can just relax and let loose. I can just be me and I don't have to prove anything to Nick or work my tail off trying to keep his attention. Being with him is so easy and natural and I don't have to think or worry about what I'm supposed to do next or what's left to check off my list."

Taking a deep breath, Judy tried to pull her jumbled thoughts together. "Throughout my whole life, I never wanted a husband or kits. I always saw myself married to my career with my fellow officers being my family in blue." Judy gave a bitter laugh. "That was the worst joke ever and I was a fool to ever believe it would ever turn out differently. When I first joined the ZPD, nobody took me seriously and nobody wanted me there. To the other officers and the Chief, I was just some tiny useless rabbit with a grandiose view of myself. I only had one friend and even he didn't think I'd make it. And even after I found all those missing mammals, it still felt like I was in the way."

With a shake of her head, her ears still held tightly in her paws, Judy continued her stumbling ramblings, saying, "But then I met Nick and we solved the case and found all those mammals—" Judy shook her head. "Working with Nick, seeing how smart and funny and dependable he was, made me fall in love with him." With a smile, she added, "Now I want a family, a husband to call my own and his kits running about my feet. If I was ever to make a list of what I wanted and needed in a husband and a mate, Nick would meet every requirement and then some. But not only that, my instincts are telling me that Nick is prime real estate and I better breed with him now before some other female sneaks in and steals him away from me."

Releasing her ears, Judy swiped her paws out in front of her, saying, "Now I know logically that's never going to happen—Nick is truly committed to me, there's no question in my mind about that—but my instincts don't seem to care about logic or reason. They want me to breed with Nick and pass on his excellent genes and his high intelligence to my kits and I don't even know if I can have his kits—"

Judy's panicky ramblings were suddenly cut off as a pair of warm arms wrapped around her and pulled her into a calming embrace. "It's okay, Judy," Vivian whispered in her ear. "You don't need to be sorry for loving my son. Seeing how badly you want Nick and hearing how being with him has changed your life for the better has put to rest many of my fears and doubts about your relationship."

With a sniffle, Judy glanced up at the elderly vixen who was holding her in a motherly embrace. "Really?" she asked while trying to get her jumbled thoughts and worries put into some sort of coherent order. "You're not disgusted or upset that Nick chose me?"

Vivian shook her head. "I was certainly upset when Nick first mentioned you, but that was because I had met so many rabbits who are still punishing foxes for the sins of our ancestors. But you don't even seem to notice that Nick is a fox. You treat him like he's an oversized, orange rabbit buck."

Judy giggled while picturing Nick as an oversized buck. "I didn't fall in love with Nick because of his species, I fell in love with him because Nick is Nick. And though I don't care what species he is, he wouldn't be Nick if he wasn't a fox. And everything foxy about him just draws me in and I love everything about him."

Running a paw down Judy's ears, Vivian teasingly asked, "Especially his claws, tongue, and teeth?"

Judy's ears heated up again. "Yeah," she mumbled. "I like those best about Nick."

Vivian smiled down at the bunny in her arms, even as Delilah chuckled from the other couch. "Oh, Judy," the okapi murmured, "you remind me so much of myself." With an excited gleam in her eyes, she added, "I think Landon's claws, tongue, and teeth are his best features, too."

Judy sat up with a smile and turned towards her okapi friend. Before anymore could be said, though, Nick came downstairs carrying a beautiful, white dress. He had overheard some of their conversation but hung back seeing as this was the perfect bonding moment for Judy and his mom. Hearing Vivian's soft, comforting words and light tease made him smile—his mom didn't disappoint. Hearing Judy talk about him, even rambling as she was, also warmed his heart. He knew some of how she felt while some of the other things she said were new and made his heart race with love and desire for her.

Trying to picture her in the dress he held, Nick didn't miss the wonder in Judy's eyes as the dress came into view. Holding it up so she could get a better look at it, he watched as she covered her mouth with her paws and whispered, "It's beautiful, Nick."

As Nick held it up so she could get the full view, Judy saw that it was a white satin evening gown that could easily double as a wedding dress. It had a floral and vine pattern that shimmered in the light. The skirt part flowed down and around the hips and legs with a little bit of a poof to it, though it wasn't nearly as poufy as a lot of the wedding gowns her sisters had chosen. She preferred this one.

The bodice was also made up of the satin with the floral and vine pattern, but sheer lace covered it with quartz rhinestones that overlaid the floral design. It was beautiful as the rhinestones scattered the light like hundreds of tiny diamonds. "Oh, Nick," Judy finally murmured, "it's so beautiful. And you said Fru-Fru dropped it off?"

Nick nodded. "Like I said, she probably wasn't expecting you to wear it quite so soon, but at least we have it."

Judy slowly nodded as her eyes traveled over the dress again, her nose twitching the whole time. "Now I really want to invite Fru-Fru to the wedding, but we probably couldn't keep the wedding a secret from the neighbors if her polar bear bodyguards showed up, could we?"

Nick's ears flicked to the side. "It would make sense to invite her since she did provide the dress. And we did kinda crash her wedding, but you're right, the neighbors would notice a couple of polar bears wandering around." With a shrug, he added, "Nor would we fit a polar bear in the house. Whoever showed up would have to stay out back the whole time."

Judy's ears drooped and Vivian looked down at her in sympathy, but then Delilah spoke up. "Well, why don't you hold your wedding over at my place?" As the two foxes and the bunny looked at her, Delilah explained, "We have plenty of room for megafauna at mine and Landon's house and there are no neighbors since our property covers 20 forested acres. We also have a large hedge maze between the road and the house with a large circular driveway. And in the backyard is a large flower garden with a marble gazebo in the center." With a soft smile, she added, "It was actually my second choice for my wedding to Landon."

"Really, Delilah? You wouldn't mind?" Judy asked. Being able to have her wedding at the okapi's house and invite more of her city friends would be amazing. Especially in such a beautiful setting surrounded by so many flowers.

Delilah laughed softly. "Well, I'll have to discuss it with Landon, but I'm sure he'll agree once he knows it's you two who are getting married. He'll appreciate another pred-prey couple in the city as much as I do."

Judy pushed her fingertips together and asked, "Even if the Bigs were to come?"

Delilah glanced over at Nick, who held his paws up and said, "Don't look at me. Until Carrots hopped into my life, Mr. Big wanted me dead on sight."

Glancing back at Judy with a raised brow, Delilah missed Vivian's scowl at hearing how Silvano was treating her son. She was going to have a very long talk with the tiny shrew about debts and gratitude. After everything she and John had done for Silvano and his fiancé, Francesca, when they first arrived in the city from Russia all those years ago and then helped them with their wedding, or what Nick had personally done for the shrew in the six years Nick had worked for him, how could Silvano kick her son out without even waiting for an explanation!? It was truly criminal how the shrew and his polar bears had treated Nick!

Judy met Delilah's curious gaze and explained, "I saved Fru-Fru Bigs life my second day on the job and Silvano has kind of taken me in as part of the family."

With a grin, Nick added, "Fru-Fru is naming her daughter after Judy and making her the baby's godmother."

Delilah and Vivian were both surprised by this news, but then Delilah asked, "Does Chief Bogo know about this?" If the Chief knew of Nick and Judy's friendly involvement with the mob boss and his family, then Delilah didn't think it would be a problem to have them at the wedding. But if not, it could come back to bite her and Landon if word got out. The chances were slim of anyone seeing the mob boss and his crew arriving, but it was always better to be safe than sorry when they had such high-profile jobs.

"Oh, yes," Judy replied. "We told Chief Bogo about it on Thursday when we met with him. I didn't want the chief to get the wrong idea about why I might be seen in Fru-Fru's company."

"We also told the Chief we were in a relationship and planned to get married," Nick explained further.

Delilah and Vivian both had their jaws go slack. "The Chief was fine with you two getting married!?" Delilah exclaimed while pointing her hoof back and forth between the two.

Nick and Judy shrugged. "We had to be sure we could still be partners after Nick graduated," Judy answered.

"Yeah," Nick added, "There was no point in me going through the academy if they barred us from being partners because we were in a relationship."

"If they didn't allow you to be partners, what would you have done then?" Delilah asked curiously.

With a wide grin, Nick replied, "I would've been a private investigator and a bounty hunter." With a raise of his finger, he added, "And then the city would have to pay me extra whenever Fluff hired me as an outside consultant on one of her cases."

"Oh, brother," Vivian murmured under her breath as she slapped a paw over her face. Although Nick would be good at both jobs, she could just imagine all the trouble he'd get himself (and his bunny) into.

Delilah smiled at the thought, even as Judy giggled, then Judy looked up at Nick and said, "Oh, that reminds me," waving her paws, she said, "I need Finn's email address so I can send him all the information about being a P.I."

Nick nodded, "Okay, I'll send it to you later." Holding the dress up higher, Nick stepped up to Judy and said, "But first, don't you want a closer look at your wedding dress?"

Judy's gaze was immediately riveted on the dress and as Nick stepped up to her, she immediately started running her paws over the silky satin material. They chit chatted a bit more with Delilah about the wedding as the girls ogled the white dress, and then Delilah said her goodbyes with the promise that she would talk to Landon about holding the wedding at their place and then she'd call them with his answer.

After seeing Delilah off, Nick hung the dress back in his closet and then returned to the living room and rebandaged Judy's leg before turning his attention to dinner while leaving Judy and his mom some alone time to get better acquainted.
