After suggesting that the girls make lemonade inside while the boys take care of the barbequing, Vivian carried Judy inside while leading Bonnie and Judy's sisters through the dining room and into the kitchen where they each picked up a bottle of water. After the boys grabbed the vegetables and their own bottles of water, Vivian suggested they move into the living room where Judy had a couple of videos she wanted to share. While watching them, she explained that they could make the lemonade while also enjoying some much needed 'girl talk' away from the prying eyes and ears of Stu and the other males.
Bonnie, Amy, Janette, and Janelle readily agreed as they had a guess as to what kind of videos Judy had for them. Alexia was the only one still somewhat in the dark about Judy's and Nick's relationship—the songs helped clue her in that something more was going on between them, but she wasn't sure how far things had gotten. With the details of her sister's relationship with the fox uncertain, Alexia was highly curious about why her mom and sisters were so excited about these particular videos. Did they have something to do with Nick and Judy?
Vivian set Judy down on the couch and then went to retrieve a large pitcher and the electric juicer Nick owned from the large cabinet next to the fridge. Meanwhile, the bunnies piled onto the couch around Judy. Returning to the living room, Vivian set the pitcher and juicer on the coffee table, then plugged the electric juicer in. Then she went back for a cutting board and a knife while Amy retrieved the second date videos from the study (the first date video was still in the DVD player).
By the time Vivian returned with the cutting board and knife, Amy was back with the two videos of the second date while Judy had the first video's menu up and was telling her mom and sisters that they wouldn't have time to watch all the videos so she would be fast forwarding to the best parts.
Alexia was still a bit confused on what the videos were about (she was told that Nick made them for Judy, but wasn't told what the content was), so Janelle finally took pity on her older sister and explained that they were the little 'home movies' Nick had made of the two incredible dates he had already taken Judy on and the wonderful places they had visited.
With her paws over her mouth, Alexia turned to Judy and murmured in shock, "You're dating Nick!?"
Judy's ears turned dark red and her now bright, red nose began twitching furiously. "Nick asked me out Wednesday evening and I said yes."
With a gasp, Alexia exclaimed, "But you hate dating!"
Shrugging slightly, Judy replied, "But I don't hate dating Nick. Dating Nick this week has been incredible, and I can't wait for him to take me out on our third date."
"Really, Judy!" Bonnie said from where she sat on the small couch against the wall. "You're not even telling your sister the best part!" Alexia turned towards her mother and Bonnie added, "Nick and Judy are already engaged, and unless I miss my bet, I'm guessing the wedding will be sometime later this week. Am I right?"
With another gasp, Alexia turned back to her flustered, beet-red sister and said, "No, way! Get out of here! You're going to marry Nick this week!?"
With an embarrassed nod, Judy explained, "We're having two weddings. A small fox wedding this week, and then a huge bunny wedding next spring after Nick graduates the Academy. We're hoping to have the fox wedding on Tuesday evening if Nick's friend is able to marry us that day."
Alexia's mouth hung open in shock, and even Janette and Janelle were surprised by how quickly Judy's romance with her drool-worthy fox was progressing. Of course, the fact Judy was ready to have Nick devour her back on Thursday afternoon should have clued them in. If Judy was ready to give her everything to Nick, then she was certainly ready to marry him.
Bonnie nodded with a touch of pride in her gaze at having read her little bun-bun so accurately. Once Judy told her she was wanting to breed with Nick, Bonnie knew Judy wouldn't last the week. When a bunny doe found a male who appealed to her on an instinctual level, the need to breed awoke with a vengeance. Bonnie wouldn't even be surprised if her little trier's next heat came early. Hopefully, they'll already be up at Nick's cabin before it started and swamped them both with Judy's intense need to breed. Bonnie hoped Nick survived Judy's first heat with him, her mate, as it will be more intense than any of her ensuing heats. That first one together will be Judy's strongest.
Bonnie knew this from personal experience. Stu was the male that won her heart and appealed to her on an instinctual level, too. Although her engagement to Stu wasn't quite as short as Judy's engagement to Nick was turning out to be, it was still extremely short by bunny standards—she dragged Stu to the altar only after two weeks of being engaged. Her parents weren't very happy about them eloping early as their wedding was still three months away, but Bonnie's instinctive need to breed with Stu and start a family was too strong to wait, so she figured an elopement was better than living in sin for three months.
After explaining her reasoning, her parents agreed and no longer hassled her about it. She and Stu then rented a cabin out on the lake for their honeymoon, and two days after arriving her heat hit like a hurricane. Similar to Judy, Bonnie's heats before had been mild (though more noticeable than Judy's practically non-existent heats), but that first heat after marrying Stu overtook them both with its intensity. Her instinctive need to breed was something she hadn't been expecting and left little time or attention for the picturesque view the cabin afforded.
Bonnie had heard about the intense need from a few of her grandmothers but didn't know any of her sisters or girlfriends who'd had such an intense need to breed once they married. That strong instinctual need seemed to be dying out among rabbits back in Bunnyburrow, but Bonnie had somehow inherited it, and after over three hundred kits later, it was obvious the intense need never really died down. She finally had her tubes tied after her last litter to prevent any more pregnancies because neither she nor Stu wanted to give up the lovely, physical side of the romance they had been building on for the last 30 years (their 30th wedding anniversary was this fall).
And Judy seems to have inherited that same, intense need for her partner's strong embrace from Bonnie—like mother like daughter. At least with Judy marrying a fox, she shouldn't have to worry about constantly being pregnant, but Bonnie hoped by some strange miracle that the two of them could somehow have at least one litter. Being able to have a kit or two of their own would be the strongest symbol and a physical manifestation of their love, to say nothing of bringing that overpowering sense of love, appreciation, and fulfillment which Bonnie felt for all her kits.
While Bonnie was reminiscing about her own honeymoon and wondering if Judy's honeymoon would end on a similar note, Vivian glanced down from where she sat on the small couch next to Bonnie and asked curiously, "It really doesn't bother you that your daughter is marrying my son?" Having met a rabbit doe years ago who had rather watch her kit bleed to death after a terrible bicycle accident (the kit was trying to do a bike trick but it went horribly wrong) than accept help from a fox, Vivian found it strange that Judy's mother accepted Nicholas as her son-in-law so readily.
"Oh, heavens, yes," Bonnie answered effortlessly as she glanced up at the tall vixen beside her. With her nose twitching lightly at her happiness, Bonnie explained, "Judy had already told me how much Nick had helped her find all those poor mammals a few days after she came home from Zootopia two weeks ago. It was obvious she was heartbroken over losing Nick's friendship. And then when Nick answered the phone on Tuesday night and I could see how happy and safe Judy was, I knew she was in good paws. And since then, my little girl has positively glowed every time she started talking about Nick and all the amazing, thoughtful little things he had done for her."
"Not all of the things he did were little," Janelle said excitedly. "He did prepare two incredible dates for Judy! That was no small feat for the amount of time he had to work with."
"Yes," Janette agreed, then added, "Two dates we have videos of but haven't even started the first one yet! We only have until the food is cooked, remember?"
"Oh, right," Bonnie and Alexia said at the same time. Turning back to Judy who had a bright smile gracing her lips, even as she was still a little red in the nose and ears at talking about the wedding, Bonnie asked, "Shall we start with the first video?"
With a nod from Judy, pointed the remote at the DVD player, but then was interrupted by Amy.
"Wait!" Amy exclaimed. "Don't you want to see Judy's dress!?"
Everyone froze for a minute, then Janelle grabbed Judy's arm and cried, "You already have your wedding dress!?" How could her sister already have a dress and not send her pictures of it!? Janelle was heartbroken that her littermate didn't share any pictures so they could 'ooh' and 'aah' over it together.
At Judy's nod, Bonnie said, "Oh, good, I was hoping you had one picked out!"
With a clap of her paws, Amy nearly squealed with delight as she said, "Wait here, I'll grab it." Hopping off the couch she practically flew up the stairs in her excitement to show her mom and sisters Judy's beautiful dress.
While Amy was upstairs, Bonnie asked curiously, "So when did Nicholas pick up a dress for you?" As fast as their relationship was progressing, she didn't think Nick would have time to pick up a wedding dress. Picking the right one could take days or even weeks, plus Judy would need to be there to try them on.
"Oh, well, he didn't. My friend Fru-fru had it delivered along with my date dresses Nick had asked her for. Nick had only asked for one dress for our first date, but Fru-fru had six dresses delivered, and one of them was all in white." With a deep blush and happy laugh, Judy added, "It's beautiful, Mom, and fits me perfectly. I couldn't have found a better wedding dress even if I searched for a year."
"It really is beautiful," Vivian said beside her. "And Judy is such an enchanting bride when she's wearing it."
Janette grabbed Judy's other arm and said, "You have to put it on! Since we'll be missing the wedding, you absolutely must put it on so we can see it in person and get lots of pictures."
Judy's ears drooped, though she wasn't opposed to the idea. "Are you sure we have time?"
"Of course, dearie," Bonnie responded. "We'll have less video time, but this is more important. You're getting married in a couple of days and we're going to miss it, so of course we need to see you in the dress today."
Before Judy could respond, Amy was back down the stairs carrying a beautiful, shimmering white gown. The girls 'oohed and aahed' over it, but then Bonnie said, "Okay, it looks nice in Amy's arms, but I know it'll look even better on you, Judy."
Since the boys were up on the deck, they decided that Judy should change in the weight room as there was plenty of space in there. Vivian and Amy helped Judy change into her dress as they had already helped her last night while Bonnie and the others waited in the living room, with Alexia standing in the kitchen doorway as the look-out to make sure none of the boys walked in on them—or more specifically—Stu didn't walk-in on them.
Once she had changed into the exquisite satin dress her friend Fru-fru had picked out for her, Vivian lent Judy her arm so she could hobble down the hall, with Amy walking backwards while filming a video of them. As Judy came into the living room, her sisters gasped in awe at seeing their beautiful sister dressed in white—finally! Bonnie's eyes, on the other paw, were starting to tear up. She had waited so long for this day, to see her little trier finally getting married. She had feared this day would never come, but looking at Judy now, with her eyes shining with love and happiness, her little bun-bun was truly radiant.
And once Nick stood beside Judy in front of their friend, the judge, then the picture would be complete. Bonnie had to grab a tissue and dab at her eyes so she could see Judy properly. "Oh, Sweetie," Bonnie finally said as Judy came around the couch, "You look so radiant! I can't wait to see the pictures of you and Nick standing up together. I'm happy you're not waiting to have the fox wedding—I know it's going to be wonderful—but I simply cannot wait for the big bunny wedding next spring. It's going to be amazing with all your sisters standing up with you! You know I'm going to go overboard with setting it up, don't you?"
Judy merely laughed as Bonnie walked over and gave her a tight hug. With a bright smile of her own, Bonnie said, "You make such a stunning bride and I'm sorry to miss this first wedding with your handsome fox, so make sure you get a video of it, okay?"
With another laugh as her own eyes started to sting with tears, Judy replied, "You can be sure of it. Nick seems to be a video addict when it comes to documenting our special moments."
Laughing with her daughter, Bonnie squeezed Judy one last time, then stepped back so her sisters could hug her. Judy's sisters all gave their hugs and congratulations, then they took turns getting pictures. Vivian took a picture of Judy standing up with Bonnie and her sisters first, then Amy took a couple of Vivian and Bonnie standing with Judy, and then they took some of Judy and her sisters. Once the photo shoot was over, Bonnie and Vivian helped Judy change back into her clothes from earlier, with Bonnie telling Vivian they had to exchange numbers so they could talk sometime. Bonnie also invited Vivian down to Bunnyburrow for a visit.
Vivian was warmed right through by Bonnie's complete acceptance of her and her son into the large bunny family. Before Nick called her up to say he was dating a rabbit, Vivian would never have imagined this scene to be possible. But that it was happening right now made her truly happy. Her son was marrying such a sweet doe and he was being welcomed so fully into the family (if not by all, Vivian hoped that at least most of Judy's family would be just as welcoming as the bunnies here today).
As Bonnie and Vivian helped Judy back into the living room, Bonnie suggested she and Vivian be in charge of the lemonade while Judy and her sisters watched the date videos (Bonnie was afraid one of the girls might accidently chop her finger off while watching the video when she was supposed to be chopping lemons).
Judy started the video of her and Nick's first date and dance which had her sisters sighing happily at the beautiful, shimmering amethyst dress with the disappearing roses. Since they were short on time, Judy skipped ahead to the three songs Nick sang to her and explained that Nick had recorded the music earlier that day so he could sing to her during the dance. Her sisters and mom were spellbound, and even Vivian was impressed by all the effort Nick put into the music and dance.
Listening to the words of the songs had her sisters 'oohing and aahing' all over again as the words were too sweet. Furthermore, like Judy, they could feel the emotion in Nick's voice and knew he meant every word. Vivian's and Bonnie's eyes were starting to sting with tears again as they once more saw how completely their kits loved each other, and even Judy had tears pooling in her eyes again as she remembered that special night.
Of course, the heated kiss at the end when Nick dipped her down to kiss her had Judy's ears turning bright red again as her sisters commented on how hot Nick was and how impressed they were by the kiss considering Judy had never even kissed a buck before.
Bonnie, on the other paw, had her ears drooping down her back. Seeing how easily they kissed and how deeply, she could see what Judy meant about not wanting to wait for their first wedding—or the wedding night! Vivian was grinning to see, once again, this physical display of Judy's love for her son. She still had a hard time believing this sweet bunny was impatiently waiting for her son to mark and knot her. But watching the two interacting on the screen, both Vivian and Bonnie were thinking that their two kits were specially made for each other, and as Nick sang the words in his song, their meeting was long in the making.
Judy immediately turned the video off after the kiss as she didn't want to get into the conversation she and Nick had afterwards or the many breathless kisses that followed. Knowing what Judy wanted, Amy immediately hopped up to switch the videos, but then Judy suggested they take the first video home and watch it as it was of the air tour and was the 'dad' friendly version. The video would give them a chance to see more of Zootopia and hear how knowledgeable Nick was of the city as he commented on all the sites they flew over.
The girls were all excited to take the video home and watch it, but what they were really looking forward to was the second video of Nick and Judy's second date—the non-dad friendly video. Amy was just as excited to see it and hurriedly put it in, then Judy skipped past their dinner, even as she explained how they shared dinner, then had a karaoke sing-off. Starting the video with Nick's first song, the girls all eagerly watched to see how this sing-off went.
As Nick danced around on the screen and sang, I'm Coming After You by Owl City, Judy and her sisters swayed to the fast beat of the music and giggled at Nick's antics. They too thought it was funny that Nick was singing about their cop sister being a criminal whom he was pursuing. Amy and Alexia even sang along with him, but in a softer voice so as not to drown out Nick's rich baritone.
The song Judy picked after that was only a little shocking. They knew Judy liked Shania Twain's song, I'm Gonna Getcha' Good, in high school, but they never expected to watch Judy singing it to a guy, and for that guy to be a handsome fox was even more shocking—but they couldn't be happier. Their cop sister had finally found a guy she wanted to pursue. The fact she had already caught him was just icing on the carrot cake.
Nick's next song was another good one that described his and Judy's unexpected relationship to a 'T'. As Nick sang Accidentally In Love by Counting Crows, Amy and Alexia weren't the only ones to sing along, but were joined by Janelle and Janette, even as Bonnie and Vivian sat on the couch and enjoyed the music show put on by the two lovebirds as they cut and juiced the lemons.
The next song Judy sang was Kissin U by Miranda Cosgrove and was no surprise to her sisters after they watched how deeply Judy and Nick kissed in the first date video. Nor were they surprised by the kiss Nick stole from Judy when she finished her song.
Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift but sung by The Endless Summer was Nick's next song and it was a good thing Bonnie and Vivian were the ones in charge of the lemonade or it would never have gotten made, seeing how enthralled Judy and her sisters were in the video. And they could definitely see the sparks fly as Nick sang to Judy, so when Judy started singing Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding no one was particularly surprised. Nor were they surprised when Nick picked Judy up and began dancing around the clearing as she sang to him. It was a bit of a reverse of their first date.
But what did surprise them was the heated kiss Nick stole at the end. Not the kiss itself, but the intensity of it. Janette was the only one prepared to see it as it wasn't much different from the epic tongue war they had when she interrupted them Thursday afternoon with her MuzzleTime call. Judy's other sisters were gasping to see the short, intense, impromptu make-out session, even as Bonnie slapped a paw over her face while Judy pulled her flaming ears down to hide behind them. Shaking her head, Bonnie could no longer argue against their hasty wedding. These two definitely needed to get married—pronto. And the sooner the better.
Before the next song could start, an unexpected voice from the kitchen doorway startled the girls and had Judy and her sisters jumping.
"Wow! Way to go Judy!" Justin exclaimed as he watched Judy and Nick duke it out with their tongues as their paws roved over each other's bodies.
"Justin!" Janette and Janelle both yelled at their littermate. "Don't scare us like that!"
Ignoring his sisters as he continued watching the screen, Justin then said, "I know Nick had you down to your underwear Thursday afternoon, but dang! You two really know how to go at it like rabbits!"
"Justin!" Judy cried in embarrassment and desperation at the same time Bonnie exclaimed, "Judy!"
Justin had completely forgotten about their mom being the room when he came in and saw the video playing. And worse yet, Nick's mom was in here, too. Snapping his mouth shut as his ears dropped to his back, he glanced at Judy and saw Janette and Janelle giving him a death glare. "Sorry," he mouthed to them as Judy refused to look at him, but was hiding behind her bright red ears.
Holding her ears down over her face, Judy sank deeper into the couch cushion and complained to her mother, "I told you it wouldn't have ended as a make-out session if Janette hadn't interrupted us."
With a heavy sigh, Bonnie shook her head. "You said the wedding is Tuesday, correct?"
Peeking from between her ears, Judy nodded as she said, "Yes, unless Daphyd is busy that day. We're meeting with him tonight to set up the exact time."
With a nod, Bonnie sighed again. With a flick of her ear, she added, "Well, at least you two aren't putting it off. If you're already that involved with each other there really isn't any point in waiting to get married."
Judy nodded as she released her ears. As they sprang back up, she said, "Nick and I both want to be legally bound to each other when he takes me, so yes, the sooner the marriage, the better."
Sitting beside Bonnie, Vivian refrained from telling Bonnie that the only thing Nick and Judy needed to do was sign and date the fox marriage registration form that Nick had hiding in his room. While the sweet bunny talked about being legally bound to her son before letting him scent mark and knot her, Vivian had to wonder if they would make it through Tuesday before signing the form. They were already sharing a bed, so would they really be able to sleep another two nights together without making it official?
Vivian had her doubts, but now wasn't the time to voice them. Judy's brother had come down for a reason and she was sure it wasn't to discuss Nick and Judy's lack of control with each other. As Nick was singing Heartbeat by Stereo Skyline on the large screen TV, Vivian turned to Justin and asked, "So what did you need, Justin? Is the food ready?"
Meeting Vivian's deep blue eyes, Justin's tail flicked behind him as he remembered the reason for his intrusion. "Oh, yeah, almost." Scratching the back of his head, he added, "The barbeque grill is a tad tall for us rabbits, so Nick said you'll need to flip the kabobs over and take the burgers off."
Bonnie and Vivian both raised a brow as Vivian asked, "And why can't Nick do it himself?"
Justin's ears dropped to his back. "My dad stuck his foot in his mouth big time and Nick's now hiding behind the garage while trying to cool off."
Vivian's ears splayed sideways, even as Bonnie's eyes narrowed. "Stu did what?" Grinding her teeth in irritation, Bonnie wondered what her mate did to royally screw things up this time.
Raising his paws in a calm down motion, Justin explained, "Dad wasn't trying to start anything, but he did ask an insensitive question that hit a raw nerve for Nick. He gave dad a very pointed object lesson and told us about some of his past and the hardships foxes face in general, then ran off to cool down behind the garage."
Vivian was surprised to hear that Nick was sharing some of his family's tragic past with Judy's father and brothers. It once again proved that Judy was helping Nick heal from the past and maybe someday soon, the scars might actually start to heal.
Still angry at her spouse, Bonnie asked, "Well, did Stu at least apologize?"
Justin shook his head, "Nick didn't give him a chance, but Dad was doing some deep thinking when I came down and I think most of what Nick said is sinking in. I'm pretty sure he'll accept Nick as Judy's mate now—or at least—he will once he gets done thinking."
Bonnie nodded, then stood up. "I'd better have a talk with him." Looking at her daughters, Bonnie added, "Can you guys stay down here for a few minutes while I talk to your father?"
The girls all nodded as Judy replied, "That'll give us time to watch one more song. Nick sang this really funny one you have to watch." Fast-forwarding through the video, Judy watched for Nick's song, Any Kind of Guy by Big Time Rush, even as she wanted nothing more than to rush out to see Nick. If her dad had upset him, then she wanted to be there to sooth him and make the pain go away.
Turning to Vivian, Bonnie wondered what the vixen had to say about the drama that had unfolded outside.
"I'll finish making the lemonade and then bring it up before checking the food," Vivian replied to Bonnie's unspoken question.
With a heavy sigh, Bonnie nodded, then said, "Thank you." Moving past the girls sitting on the larger couch, with Vivian following behind her with the pitcher full of fresh lemon juice, Bonnie made her way outside and then up to the deck.
As soon as Bonnie and Vivian left, Justin plopped down on the couch his mother had just vacated and rubbed his paws together. "Okay, Judes, you can start the video. I can't wait to see this funny song Nick sang." It took Justin a moment to realize his sisters were all giving him another death glare as he was staring at the TV. Raising his paws, he hastily apologized. "I said I was sorry! Really! I completely forgot Mom and Vivian were here."
The girls glared at him a moment longer, then rolled their eyes. Turning back to the TV, Janelle said, "Okay, Judy, you can start the video."
While wondering how upset Nick was and just wanting to bury herself in his arms, Judy pushed play. Her sisters and brother got totally lost in the song and laughed at Nick's antics and the 'outfits' he put on to show the different kind of guys he would become for their sister, but Judy could only think of her fox and the harsh question her dad must have asked him.
As the song ended, Judy was trying to come up with a quick way to meet Nick when Justin spoke up and solved her problem. "If you girls want to head up to the deck, I want to talk to Judy for a minute and then I'll carry her outside."
Judy didn't miss the fact that Justin said 'outside' not 'up to the deck'. Smiling as her sisters stood up, her thoughts were suddenly interrupted as Janelle hugged her tightly from the side and whispered in her ear, "You have to let me stay for the wedding so I can be one of your bridesmaids."
As Janelle released her and stood up, Judy's nose twitched at the idea of having another one of her sisters stay for the wedding and be her bridesmaid, and for it to be Janelle, Judy felt her heart squeezing with happiness to have one of her littermates attending her wedding. Giving Janelle a bright, buck-toothed smile, Judy nodded.
With a clap of her paws and a soft squee of delight, Janelle's nose and tail were twitching happily as she followed her sisters outside.
With everyone else gone, Judy looked up to see Justin holding his arms open for her. At her raised brow, Justin answered her unspoken question, saying, "I figured we could talk while I carried you out to see Nick."
Judy's smile couldn't get any bigger. "Thanks, Justin," she said as her brother picked her up.
Justin merely smiled. With Judy's solid muscles, she was a bit heavier than other does her size, but he knew there wasn't an ounce of fat on his sister. Remembering how Nick boasted of how little Judy weighed to him, Justin was once again impressed by the fox's strength. Even though Judy was quite a bit smaller than Nick, if he didn't have some muscle hiding under his fur, there was no way Judy would be weightless to the fox.
While carrying Judy across the grass, Justin asked, "Is there any way that I would be invited to your wedding on Tuesday?"
Glancing up at her brother, Judy asked, "You want to come?"
Justin rolled his eyes. "You're my littermate who swore she would never get married—so of course I want to be at your wedding! This is a big deal, Judes! Besides, I really like Nick. As your brother, you have my seal of approval to marry your fox."
With a happy laugh, Judy hugged Justin tightly. "I would love to have you at my wedding!"
Smiling brightly himself, Justin then asked, "Does that mean I can give you away?"
Moving back from the hug enough to meet Justin's expectant gaze, Judy murmured, "Give me away?"
"Yeah," Justin replied. "Since Dad won't be there to do it himself, I figured I could take that roll."
Judy was silent for a moment, then said, "Well, I kinda promised a friend that he could give me away since I didn't think anyone from the family would be there." Justin's ears drooped, and Judy quickly said, "But maybe you can both give me away?"
Justin gave his sister a strange look. "What do you mean, 'we can both give you away'?"
"Well," Judy explained, "Benjamin is the only friend I have at work and he's super excited about me and Nick being together, so I was thinking, that if you both give me away, then you can represent my old life in Bunnyburrow and Benji can represent my new life in Zootopia." Biting her lip for a moment, Judy added, "What do you think?"
Justin was quiet for a moment, then said, "Well, I don't mind, I guess, but will Benjamin be alright with it?"
With a giggle, Judy replied, "Benji is the biggest softy I've ever met, and he'll probably be ecstatic to stand up with you. As long as he gets a front row seat and some of the wedding cake, he'll be happy." With another giggle as her tail twitched happily, Judy added, "I swear, that cheetah enjoys watching me and Nick kiss as much as Nick and I enjoy kissing."
Justin's jaw dropped. "Wait, your friend is a cheetah!?" Since the big cat was one of Judy's friends, he wasn't scared at the idea of standing up with a cheetah. Although, Judy had just admitted to him being the biggest softy she'd ever met, Justin still found it odd that one would want to give a rabbit doe away at her wedding.
Giggling again, Judy met Justin's confused gaze and said, "Benji is more like an extra-large, oversized cheetah plushy and he is absolutely ecstatic to see me and Nick together. He says we embody the true message of Zootopia: Predator and Prey living together in complete harmony."
Justin thought it over for a moment, then a wide smile spread across his face. "He's right, you two do embody the true message of Zootopia." With a light laugh, he added, "I can't wait to meet him on Tuesday."
Judy grinned widely at her brother, then they walked around the back of the garage and spotted Nick lying across the floor of the gazebo. Seeing him like that, it looked like he had sat down on the top step, then flopped over backwards with his arms stretched out. Chewing on her lip again, Judy couldn't stand the thought of Nick being all down and depressed over something her dad had said, or something her fox might have said in return.
When they got about 10 paces from Nick, Judy had Justin put her down. When he questioned the wisdom of her walking on her own, she told him the stitches were coming out tomorrow and that she would be fine. Justin had experienced Judy's bullheadedness enough times to know not to argue with her, so once he was sure she could stand on her own, even if she was moving a little hunched over, he turned and sprinted back towards the house.
After watching her brother disappear back around the garage as he headed towards the deck to rejoin the lunch party, Judy turned to look at Nick before limping over to her fiancé. As she drew near, Nick muttered, "I messed up, Carrots, I messed up big time."
With her ears drooping, Judy reached forward and grasped Nick's knees, then used them to support her weight as she hopped closer to him on her good foot. As she landed between his legs, Nick didn't give her a chance to climb up on him, but sat up long enough to clamp his large paws around her hips and pick her up. Flopping back to the gazebo floor, Nick deposited Judy on his stomach.
Wiggling her tush (which brought a grin to Nick), Judy got more comfortable as she straddled his belly, then slid her paws up his chest. Sliding them over his shoulder, her paws landed on the wooden floor of the gazebo, which brought her warm, amethyst gaze even with Nick's brilliant emeralds and left their noses only a centimeter apart. A small smile twitched up at the corner of her mouth as she said, "Justin doesn't think so."
Nick's ear flicked in question, so Judy elaborated. "He says you didn't say anything my dad didn't need to hear and that Stu is up there right now doing some heavy thinking." Rubbing her small, pink nose across Nick's much larger one, Judy added, "He also thinks my dad will probably accept us after he gets done thinking."
With his ears perking forward and his tail starting to wag, Nick asked, "Really?"
Judy rubbed her nose across his again, saying, "Really, really." Then she brushed her lips against his as her ears drooped slightly. "Still," she murmured softly against his warm lips, "I'm sorry my dad upset you."
Closing his eyes, Nick took a deep breath and tried not to think of the memories Stu's specist question brought up. Taking another deep breath as he squeezed Judy's hips where his large paws were still resting, he explained, "Well, your dad wasn't trying to upset me. I know he's just worried about you, but still, his question was extremely specist and made me think of all the mammals in the past, mostly prey, but a few predators, too, who have hurt me and my family."
Seeing the stress on Nick's face, Judy's heart broke for her loving todd who had suffered so much in his life. Nipping Nick's chin, she whispered, "Should I give you something better to remember?"
Relaxing under his honeybun's gentle nips and caresses, a small smile touched the corners of Nick's mouth. "I won't complain." As Judy began unbuttoning his shirt, Nick slipped his paws under her shirt and slid his claws through the soft fur of her sides. With a wider smile breaking out across his muzzle, Nick pointed out, "Your parents are up on the deck and you're over here wanting to take my shirt off?"
Judy's ear twitched as she nipped and kissed his jaw line and then started down his neck, saying, "Are you complaining?" Feeling Nick claws grazing her skin felt heavenly and she wished she could purr like Nick was.
Purring under her gentle caresses, Nick replied, "Nope. No complaints. Just wanted to be sure you knew what you were doing." With his tail wagging beside him, Nick lost himself in her sweet scent, questing fingers, and delightful nips and kisses.
"I know exactly what I'm doing," Judy answered as she nipped the spot above his collarbone. Burying her nose in his fur and nuzzling him before planting a kiss on the spot she had just nipped, Judy added, "I'm helping my mate calm down after my father upset him with his specist question."
As Judy's soft fingers continued working down his shirt and her flat buck teeth kept nipping blissfully at his neck, Nick hummed contentedly as he continued purring, then asked, "So how did your girl-talk go?"
With a hum, Judy answered against the fur over his collarbone. "It went well. Everyone loved my wedding dress and we got lots of pictures. Janelle wants to stay for the wedding and Justin wants to come back down for it." Her tail started flicking gently in happiness as Judy considered her two favorite littermates being here for the wedding on Tuesday.
Lifting her face long enough to nip at his chin again, her tail began flicking excitedly as she thought of her mom and sisters' support of her marriage to Nick. With a bright smile, Judy returned to kissing and nipping Nick's neck as she moved towards his chest, saying, "Then we watched some of the songs from our date videos. I didn't have to answer any embarrassing questions about the more intimate details of our relationship after they saw the way we kissed at the end of our first date and then when we attacked each other after I sang Love Me Like You Do on our second date." Judy's nose and ears turned bright red again while thinking of her mom seeing her and Nick kissing like that.
While trying not to think of her mother's disapproving look at seeing how close she and Nick already were, Judy focused on the task at paw.
Unbuttoning Nick's shirt just enough to expose his chest, Judy buried her face in his thick, fluffy creamy fur. Taking a deep breath, she loved the feel of his thick fur on her face and his strong scent in her nose. Digging her fingers through the fluffy fur, her blunt claws encountered his skin and she began running her claws across it as she dragged her fingers back up his chest to either side of her face that was still buried in his fluffy, creamy fur, even as she murmured, "Justin ratted us out about you getting me down to my underwear Thursday."
"What!?" Nick cried out as his ears flicked back to disappear against his head, even as his paws froze in their gentle track through her fur. He didn't think Justin would say anything about his and Judy's involvement seeing as he kept his mouth shut around his dad.
Rubbing her face back and forth in his fur, Judy explained, "Justin walked in and saw us making out on the screen and blurted it out before realizing both our moms were sitting in there. Your mom didn't look too surprised but my mother about had an aneurism. I can honestly say now that my mother is completely onboard with us getting married on Tuesday and is very grateful we're not stringing the wedding out."
Relaxing again, Nick closed his eyes as he turned his focus to Judy's gentle ministration as she raked her fingers through his fur and nibbled on him with those sinfully flat teeth of hers. They both lost track of time for a bit, and then Nick stirred as he lifted his head to glance down at his honeybun.
Growling softly at Judy's questing fingers and arousing nips, he murmured, "You know Fluff, as good as this feels, there's a better way to make me forget the memories your dad's question brought up." Not that he was bothered anymore by Stu's stupid question, but the whole point of Judy teasing him was to make him forget about her father—which she was doing a splendid job of—but he was starting to feel a little frisky himself and was getting the urge to taste her in return.
Lifting her face to meet Nick's dark, green emeralds, Judy's ears tilted forward as she asked, "And what would that be?" Seeing the dark glint in his eyes, her nose started twitching in anticipation.
Pulling his paws out from under her shirt, Nick clamped one around her vibrating tail while the other one slid up behind her head and pulled her up to his eagerly waiting maw. As their muzzles locked and their tongues danced together, Nick then rolled Judy over onto her back and pinned her beneath him.
When they finally broke for air, Nick and Judy were both gasping for air as their eyes danced with desire. Catching his breath, Nick pushed up on his paws and feet to stand over Judy much like his ancestors once did to hers thousands of years ago. Licking his muzzle while staring down at Judy, his nostrils flared at her thick, sweet scent, even as his tail curled up and nearly touched his back. His ancestors had no idea what they were missing when they had a rabbit pinned beneath them and only thought of taking its life.
Licking his chops again, Nick then dipped his muzzle down under Judy's chin and nudged it up. Licking and nipping his way across her chin and jawline as Judy reached up to sink her fingers in the thick fur around his ears, Nick reached her neck and clamped his sharp teeth around her slender throat. Sensing the hot blood coursing under her tender skin, Nick began growling low in his chest that had Judy gasping beneath him as she arched her back towards him while twisting his fur through her fingers as she didn't want him to stop.
Accepting her unspoken invitation, Nick slipped a paw under her shirt and grazed her toned belly with his sharp claws which brought a deep moan from his honeybun. Releasing her neck to lick and nip at it, Judy whined, "Ni-ick, you're not being fair again."
"I'm not being fair?" Nick growled into her neck fur. Nipping the spot above her jugular vein, Nick added in another low growl, "And you were being fair while running your divine claws through my fur and nipping me with those delightful bunny teeth of yours?"
Running her divine claws back through the fur around his ears and grazing his skin with them, Judy's breathing became a little ragged as his teeth and claws were making her hot and bothered again. With a soft cry, she said, "It's not the same." Gasping at a sharp nip from Nick as he disagreed with her words, Judy hastily added, "My teeth and claws are blunt so they're not as effective as yours."
With another sharp nip just above her collarbone, Nick lifted his head to stare at Judy with hungry eyes. "Like hell they're not!" he growled. Watching Judy's nose twitching furiously as her eyes darkened with want at his touch and growls, Nick's tail started swaying behind him as he brought his paw out from under her shirt to grab one of her paws. Pressing it against his pants and hardening sheath, he watched Judy's eyes widen at the effect her blunt teeth and claws had on him. "Don't you dare say my teeth and claws are more effective! After your little stunt in the shower this morning, I know exactly what I'm missing and I know exactly what I want."
Licking his chops again, Nick released her paw and planted his own paw on the gazebo's wooden floor next to her face, with her rapidly twitching nose and wide eyes that were quickly filling with the same hunger he felt. It took everything he had to not attack her. The thought of getting caught red-pawed was about the only thing preventing him from stripping Judy down to her fur and ravishing her right here and now, especially since her soft fingers were driving him absolutely crazy!
Judy really hadn't expected to have such a devastating impact on Nick just from teasing his chest with her blunt claws and teeth. But there was no denying his need as she ran her fingers lightly over his pants and his still hardening sheath. Dropping her gaze from his burning emeralds to his black pants and the slight bulge she now saw there, Judy licked her lips…then she licked them again. Running her fingers up his sheath to the tip, she felt Nick's cock starting to peek from its sheath. Licking her lips again, she realized she was starting to drool even as Nick sucked in a deep breath as his eyes slammed closed.
As her eyes traveled up Nick's powerful form, she froze to see the effort it was taking him to not pounce on her. Breathing deeply, Judy had to agree with Nick: after the shower, she knew exactly what she was missing and exactly what she wanted. She wanted Nick—all of Nick. She wanted to be stuffed full with her hot fox and she didn't want to waste a single drop of her fox's liquid heat.
The only thing keeping her from pouncing on him herself was knowing her parents and siblings were just a short distance away and that someone would come looking for them sooner or later. Probably sooner seeing as their food was getting cold, not to mention the noises they were sure to make.
Taking a deep breath, Judy closed her eyes and let her fingers drop from Nick's pants to land on her belly where Nick's criminal paw had pushed her shirt up. With another deep breath, she brought both paws up to rub her face. "Did you have to bring up the shower?" she whined.
With a chuckle at hearing Judy's needy moan, Nick opened his eyes and glanced down at his honeybun. She was too cute and sexy for her own good. Nick really surprised himself at his self-control because Judy was just begging to be eaten. With a smug smirk, he replied, "Now you know how I feel, so now we're even."
Judy moaned again but didn't reply, so Nick sat up and started buttoning his emerald shirt up. "Come on, Fluff, we need to get back to the party before someone comes looking for us."
With another groan, Judy sat up and looked at Nick, then her eyes widened at something she saw behind him. About that time the breeze shifted directions and brought a familiar scent to Nick's nose. Smelling such a strong scent that wasn't his or Judy's when they were being intimate made his hackles rise and a low growl sound in his chest. The next second, Nick realized what he was doing and forced down his protective, territorial response. They still had their clothes on and this new scent wasn't a threat—no one was going to hurt them.
Sitting back on his heels, Nick rubbed his face as he forced himself to relax. "Hello, Chester," he said a heartbeat later. When he didn't hear a response, Nick glanced behind him to see Judy's older brother standing just this side of the garage with his eyes wide and his mouth gaping open. With his ears flicking back, Nick realized the buck had seen a whole lot more than either he or Judy wanted anyone to see. Talk about getting caught red-pawed!
"Chess!" Judy cried as she hurriedly pulled her shirt back down over her belly and tried to brush the fur of her neck into some semblance of order after Nick messed it up with his licks, nips, and bite. "You didn't have to come looking for us," she continued while avoiding her brother's shocked gaze. "We were just getting ready to return to the party."
Shaking the shock from his mind, Chester replied, "Oh, that's not why I came down." He couldn't get over seeing Judy pinned to the ground by the larger predator. His instinctive response was to freeze with fear, but hearing Judy's needy whimper and watching her pull Nick closer to her told him she didn't want the fox to stop. Chester had already guessed from their singing that Judy and Nick had a thing for each other, but seeing it was still a surprise. This was Judy they were talking about! She never had time for boys! If Chester didn't know any better (he was married to a rabbit doe, after all), it looked like Judy was just a hair away from tackling Nick herself and demanding she have her way with him!
Cocking an eye in question at Judy's brother, Nick stood up and faced him, but before he could question the buck on the reason of his sudden arrival, Chester started walking towards them as he pointed to Judy and said, "I take it you stole a kiss from Nick days ago?" There's no way Judy would be flat on her back already if she hadn't kissed Nick some time ago. And the fact Nick hadn't given their dad a solid yes or no answer told the buck that Nick had probably enjoyed quite a few of Judy's kisses before today.
Folding his arms as a smug grin spread across his muzzle, Nick's tail started wagging as he answered, "Judy stole my first kiss Tuesday afternoon while giving me hers."
Looking between her fox and her brother in confusion, Judy then asked, "What does it matter who kissed who first?"
Glancing behind him at Judy, Nick put his paw out to help her up as he answered, "Your dad asked if I had kissed you yet, but I told him I wouldn't kiss you unless you first kissed me."
Judy slapped her free paw over her face as she balanced on her good foot. "Oh brother," she muttered as she wasn't looking forward to her father asking her that same question. Her thoughts were interrupted, though, as Nick released her paw and swept her up into his arms. As she settled into her fox's strong embrace, Chester spoke up and what he said had Judy burying her face in Nick's neck as her ears turned scarlet.
"When Dad asked Nick what his intentions towards you were," Chester began, "he told Dad to first find out what your intentions towards him were because Nick claims to only want what you want."
Groaning again into Nick's neck, Judy grumbled, "Ni-ick, now dad's going to interrogate me, too!"
Laughing as he met up with Chester and the two began walking along the side of the garage towards the house, Nick said, "Well, I wasn't going to ride this sinking ship by myself. We're a couple now and we're supposed to share everything, remember?"
Judy merely groaned again, but then Chester asked, "You're a couple? But you told dad you two weren't dating."
A smug grin spread across Nick's face again as he answered, "We dated all of two days, then I asked Judy to marry me Friday afternoon. She said yes, so we're not dating anymore, we're engaged."
Chester froze as he looked between Judy's blushing face and Nick's smug grin. Settling on Judy's blushing face as she tried to hide in the crook of Nick's neck (her ears were a dead give-away to her fiery blush), Chester blurted out, "You're already engaged to Nick!?"
Turning around in Nick's arms so she could see her brother's face, she jerked her thumb over Nick's shoulder and said, "Chess, you saw us back there! What's the point in waiting!? Everything about Nick from his fluffy orange and cream fur to his criminal claws and teeth just draws me in and makes me want to jump him!" She refused to mention what his criminal tongue did to her.
Chester froze as he remembered rounding the garage and seeing Nick with his teeth clamped around his sister's throat. Their little argument afterwards on whose teeth and claws were more effective on arousing the other also crossed his mind. Pointing to his sister who had always sworn off guys and marriage, he demanded, "You seriously get aroused whenever Nick clamps his teeth around your neck!?"
Judy's only response was to grab her flaming red ears and pulled them down to hide behind them as she slumped down in Nick's arms with a groan.
With an even smugger grin curling up his long muzzle, Nick answered for her. "It's a pred-kink your sister has. Drives her absolutely wild."
"Ni-ick!" Judy cried as she released her ears to look up at him. Hitting Nick on the chest, she then poked him, saying, "Just wait, Mister. Tonight, I'll bite your neck and we'll see how your body responds to it." She poked his chest again to drive the point home.
Nick froze at her words, then glanced down as a wicked gleam entered his eyes. Opening his maw, Nick ran his tongue over his teeth which sent Judy's nose twitching furiously at the sensual delights it promised, then Nick said, "I look forward to it."
"Ni-ick!" Reaching over, Judy shoved Nick's muzzle forward so he wasn't looking at her anymore. Pointing ahead, she ordered, "Forward. Now."
Laughing, Nick started walking towards the house again. "Whatever you say, Boss, just know that we'll be finishing this discussion tonight."
"Nick, stop talking," Judy grumbled. "Don't talk, just walk." As much as she was looking forward to seeing what her blunt teeth did to Nick tonight, she didn't want to talk about it with her brother here. It was just between her and Nick—no one else. And whatever happened afterwards was also for their eyes and ears only—no one else.
With another laugh, Nick complied while looking forward to tonight. What would Judy's blunt teeth feel like if she actually bit him instead of simply nibbling on him? Considering his ancestors were once eaten by larger predators, Nick figured he'd get a better idea of how Carrots felt whenever he bit her. Of course, her muzzle was much smaller and shorter than his own so it might not have the same effect. Either way, he was highly looking forward to tonight.
Trying to get her mind on something less provocative, Judy turned to Chess. Seeing her brother struggling to accept that his younger sister, who never had time for boys before, was now discussing the effects of eating a fox before being eaten by him herself had Judy's ears drooping slightly. Blushing again, she said, "So, um, Chess, what did you come down for again? Since you're not here to drag us back to the party?"
With a start, Chester remembered the reason he needed to find them. With his ears drooping, he answered, "Cotton is missing."
Judy stiffened in Nick's arms, even as they stepped out from behind the garage and started walking across the lawn towards the house. "Missing!?" Judy cried in worry and surprise while staring at Chester and completely missing the disturbance up on the deck as her mother walked back and forth while talking on the phone. The breeze had changed directions again and was once more blowing towards the house which blew the sounds in the opposite direction. This was also the direction it was blowing when Chester first came down earlier and is why Nick didn't smell him sooner.
Chester nodded his head while meeting his sister's fearful gaze and explained, "Katelyn just called and said Cotton is missing. No one has seen her since early this morning."
Judy's ears dropped to her back and she took a deep breath. Katelyn was a soccer buff and a very responsible adult when it came to watching the kits. If she couldn't find Cotton, and nobody else could, then something must have happened to her little niece.
Nick's ears flicked back as he studied his honeybun's face. Seeing the worry in her eyes that was mirrored in her brothers, Nick asked, "Who's Cotton?"
