Monday entry for OQPromptParty. Just a shorty shorty thingy based on prompts:

6. Regina is the little sister of Robin's over protective best friend.

121. Secret relationship AU

"We have to tell them," she whispers in between kisses, the words they've ignored for the past days, and the past year as their relationship blossomed behind closed doors.

Quick kisses shared when no one was looking.

Soft touches hidden under the table.

Countless dates shared miles away from their hometown.

Sly smiles when people asked about their love life, only to laugh about it in the dark.

Because it was better that way.

It was better to not involve their families, their friends, until they knew just how far they wanted to take their relationship. Just how serious they were.

Stupid. Simply stupid for ever since Robin walked into the Mills household at 17, he'd been awestruck by Will's younger sister.

Regina Mills.

But he'd ruled it as that, a mere crush. And it had remained that way for eleven years.

Regina, Will's cute sister.

Regina, the smart, witty, funny girl but still, Will's sister.

Regina, the good looking, incredibly mature sister of Will.

He'd seen Will's overprotectiveness, a side that came to him due to them losing their parents early in their young years. A side he'd seen play out whenever they'd pick her up at school, Will shooting daggers at the men that gawked at her. Or, Will beating up the punk that broke her heart when she was seventeen. Or Will forcefully smiling at her prom date as he firmly shook his hand and told him to bring her home by 9. Or the one time they saved her from being stood up by her date, only to take her out for some drinks and karaoke. So he'd learned to see her as Will's Regina.

The one that's absolutely off limits.

Until last year.

Last year when Will had flown to the Caribbean for Christmas, and his invitation to the Mills household for the holidays had been extended on behalf of Granny. Regina had been there, having recently finished nursing school, smiling brightly at him when she saw him. The first time they'd be together without Will in the picture. They'd drank, and eaten, conversation flew easily, hours flew by until they'd talked of each other and just like that they'd kissed, a simple thing in the kitchen as they looked for some left over dessert. One kiss lead to another, and another, until confessions were whispered, and promises were uttered.

But they've gotten tired. Tired of sleeping over at the other's place, least things get suspicious, tired of lying, of hiding.

"It's time," he whispers with a smile as he pushes a strand of hair behind her ear and caresses her face. "I love you," he reassures her before he drops a kiss to her mouth and rolls over from her to land on side of the bed.

"It's Will I'm the most worried about though," he sighs, sitting upright.

Regina's hand lands softly on his naked back, moving it up and down in an attempt to comfort him.

"You're still his little sister," he shrugs and shakes his head.

"And soon I'll be your wife," she whispers, sits up and moves to hug him from behind. She drops a kiss to his shoulder, up along his neck, then bites and pulls softly on his earlobe. "Will has to understand that he's not my father, and I'm a grown woman, Robin. It's time." She whispers on a sigh, chin resting on his shoulder as they both look down to her left hand, yesterday's promise shining brightly in the morning light.

And Robin nods, smiling as he brings her left hand to his mouth and drops a kiss on her ring.

.:::.

His nose bleeds, and bleeds, his once favorite white shirt now ruined as he leans his head back against the back of the couch, and adds pressure against his nose.

He should feel angry, should focus entirely on the pain of his more than likely broken nose, but Robin instead chuckles, the whole situation a bit amusing to him. It helps to know that he too got a few punches in. It helps to know that Will is on the other end of the room, holding a napkin under his chin, mouth full of blood, and anger written all over his face.

He should feel as angry as Will, after all he's still gotten quite a beating. Yet all he feels is amusement, and he snorts and winces and snorts again until Regina's frowning at him, telling him with her eyes to knock it off.

Robin nods, slightly, closes his eyes to try and get it together but he can't for the scene keeps playing in his mind.

Regina had spoken, he'd uttered a few words, but she had been the one to break the news with a soft smile as Granny shared a tearful smile. Will had stayed quiet, just stared at him as Regina hugged his side. And then Regina's cousins and aunts had focused again on the meal and her ring and had pulled her aside for a moment. Yet a moment was all it took, for Will was already in front of him, grabbing him by the collar and pushing him away.

Then all hell broke lose.

Punches flew. Some landing firmly, others hitting nothing. Will had gone at him with everything he could, had even thrown a bowl of salad at him as a last resort.

Robin bites his lower lip, grimacing when his nose stings by the movement then chuckles again at the memory.

"Shut the fuck up," Will says from across the room, sounding angry, and like he's trying to stand up for a round two. But then Eugenia's voice is heard around the room, stern and loud as she tells them both to knock it off, goes on to grill Will and Robin sits up straight on the couch, feeling relieved as the movement doesn't bring with it the warm trickle of blood down his nose. Regina turns from Will and Granny to Robin, sighing as she begins wiping at his mouth, chin, chest, trying against all might to get rid of the blood, the salad dressing, and the pieces of cheese clinging to him.

And he just lets her, lets her clean his mess with a goofy grin, and his hand on her hip, pulling her to sit next to him.

"Stop it," she whispers, eyes wide, warning him, even though there's a hint of amusement in her eyes too, as she shakes her head.

"I'm sorry," he says, pouting. "I know that wasn't how it was supposed to go," he whispers amidst Granny's loudly scolding Will.

How embarrassing for the adult man.

Regina just shrugs and rolls her eyes. "Yeah, well, the cat's out of the bag. That's all that matters now."

"You think he'll be okay?" Robin whispers after a moment, more serious now, for, even though brawling like two teenage boys over a girl is amusing, William Mills is still his best friend. The man he wants to have stand next to him on his wedding day.

Regina just chuckles and shakes her head. "When Belle, the love of his life broke up with him it took him two weeks to find another girl. Trust me, he'll be thrilled for us next weekend," she replies with a roll of her eyes, then focuses on his nose again. "This is definitely broken," she says a bit too loudly for Will is grinning.

"Looks better that way," he calls out from the other side of the room.

"Oh shut up," she says with a roll of her eyes.

But Robin isn't bothered at all, instead he stays there, waiting for Regina's instructions as she presses lightly on his nose, starts talking to him about something else entirely and snap, forces his nose into place, to which Robin lets out a loud cry of pain.

And though it hurts like hell, though Will is laughing from afar, Granny is loudly calling out Will, and Regina's hands are red with his blood, he doesn't regret one tiny bit, not befriending Will nor falling in love with Regina Mills.
