A/N:
I've been working on ideas for these 2 OCS for a few months now, and I'm stuck, so I'm putting what I got up on here to see what you readers think. If someone could help me figure out some more ideas I'd love feedback thank you for reading what's been written, sorry in advance it's a bit cliffhangerish, I guess.
Character Appearances:
Boma is a thin but well-built man, standing at 5'9 (1.75 m). His skin very tan on his arms and legs from years of living in the desert under his clothes, though it's still tan but a shade or so lighter. He had black straight hair he keeps braided and light green eyes. Boma, while no longer a member of the Atucha Tribe, he likes to still dress similar to them in brown shirts and pants but has added touches of orange to show his self training and respect of air bending as well as green to show he's not just of the Atucha but the earth kingdom itself. He wears stone gauntlets similar to the Dai Li on his hands and puts brown leather armor on over his clothes to protect himself while on a hunt. His spear is kept strapped to his back and two gourds of sand on his hips, similar to a water bender's water sacks. He also keeps a mask on his face that he carved from stone to hide his emotions easier. The mask is painted black and has a glow stone shard from the cave of two lovers that he keeps wrapped on his belt when he needs to see better.
Dorrum is a very tall, broad shoulder strong man type, standing at 6'4 (1.93 m). His skin is a bit darker than most water benders, with dark blue almost navy eyes and wavy brown hair that almost has a life of its own. His right leg is replaced with a prosthetic carved from a narwhal shark tusk. When he's not wearing it, his remaining leg ends at the middle of his thigh. He mostly wears more flowing loose fitting clothes, so he's not as restricted with movement, but still wears traditional water tribe attire of blue and furs when in formal environments. He keeps a water bladder and bandages on him at all times, just in case someone is to get hurt while he's out or if he needs to defend himself. Dorrum also wears golden rings jewelry and even a fire nation hair dress he uses to hold his hair in a high bun phoenix tail style like some fire nation royals. He obtained these from a treasure chest he stole from the pirates who took his leg. Dorrum took the treasure as compensation for his leg, and while he did come from a well-off family it didn't hurt to have more just in case, plus the jewelry made him feel pretty.
Story outline:
Boma was once part of a nomadic caravan of sand benders from the southern deserts of the earth kingdom called the Atucha. Boma was son of the Atucha chief and a powerful warrior. He had found an air bending scroll while multiple caravans were trading treasures and supplies, and he began to studied it. Boma combined air bending techniques with his own, creating a more flowing earth bending style. To enhance some of the more staff oriented forms, Boma made himself a spear with an obsidian head. He's twin brother Bolar became jealous of his success, so he hatched a plan to have Boma banished from the caravan. Bolar attacked a fire nation militia pretending to be Boma, yelling at them as he flipped their tanks "Ha you lowly fire maggots can never defeat I Boma of the Atucha Tribe" and ran off. Hours after that, the militia attacked the resting caravan as revenge, destroying their boats and killing all their livestock. The leader of the militia then announced to the tribe, "You may thank that bender with the spear named Boma. If he hadn't attacked us, your caravan might have been spared." Boma's father was furious, not stopping to think if his son was the traitor, and banished him immediately after. The chief told Boma if he ever returned, he'd be killed without hesitation. A few years passed and Boma didn't have many skills outside a caravan life, so he became a bounty hunter traveling the continent, even met and studied under King Bumi for a couple of months. He explored the world, having many new experiences, trying to forget the hurt of his past. He was soon contracted to hunt down some gambling addict that had gone south to the newly rebuilt southern water tribe settlements. Boma had just captured his bounty after cornering him in an ice canyon when he was caught in an avalanche. Boma ended up breaking his arm and hitting the back of his head, giving him a concussion and letting his bounty escape. He was luckily found by a few members of the water tribe village, who took him to their healer, a water bender from Agna Qel'a named Dorrum. Dorrom was a water bending prodigy, a former student of Master Pakku and one of the greatest northern style water benders of his generation. But sadly a few years before the fire nation attacked the northern tribe Dorrum had lost his leg in a pirate raid, losing all credibility being labeled a cripple and hindrance. Most warriors considered him to be a joke, so Dorrum decided to reinvent himself and became a healer. He studied under the best healers of the capital. While Pakku thought Dorrum would never be a competent warrior again with his missing leg, he was proud it didn't stop the boy's passion for helping his fellow tribe members. Soon after things had settled in the capital after the fire navy attack, Dorrum was invited by Pakku to join him in helping the southern tribe rebuild. Dorrum took the opportunity, joining his master as the southern tribe's new head healer. When Boma woke up, his head was wrapped and arm was in a sling. When Dorrum came to check on him and the two started talking, they clicked instantly. They became really close after that, Boma retired from bounty hunting and moved in with Dorrum settling down and helping his partner make his healing hut into a proper clinic. A few months passed and Boma missed his tribe, but finally found someone that filled the place in his heart his twin had destroyed. Soon, news of the war potential ending and a plea for assistance reached the village. Dorrum felt a calling of adventure and spoke to Boma about joining Pakku to assist. Boma thought on it and had always wondered why he had been blamed, so he agreed to join, but if after they won if they could return to his caravan for truth and to make his innocence clear. Boma and Dorrum headed to the earth kingdom, helping the white lotus to liberate Ba Sing Se. After all was finished and the war over, Boma and Dorrum traveled to the Misty Palms Oasis for guidance to the Atucha's current location. During their travels, the two reconnected with one of Boma's contacts, June, to help find the leader of the fire nation patrol that was allegedly attacked by him. The three became close, the duo becoming a trio, helping Boma learn the truth of his banishment. Soon, the three arrived in the northern part of the desert for the yearly caravan swap meet, where dozens of nomad tribes from the earth kingdom met to trade barter and make their income for the year.
