A/N: Listening to "Wildest Dreams" did it have an influence on this chapter? Also there is a thunderstorm and I am frightened! T^T (Note: if it isn't obvious I wrote these all in advance teehee!)

Revali woke early as per usual and flew up to Vah Medoh, he grinned as he spotted Link rising from the nest. His hair was mussed from sleep but he knew, the other male would soon fix that. Maybe it fixed itself, he wasn't too sure, regardless he went back out. He turned to face the horizon, then sang with the rest of his kin. He was happy, hopeful and it could probably be heard by everyone but he didn't care. The song finished and he turned to see that Link's hair was indeed back in control, somewhat. He walked over to where Link stood, he wanted to say something but he couldn't quite find the words for it. Link was holding the toy, he smiled a bit at that but he wouldn't be able to take it now. Not just yet anyway, they were going to be a little late it seemed.

"Leave it here for now," Revali said. "I'll come back for it after." Link nodded and turned to set it in the nest. Revali turned and then flew off, he hoped that Link really wanted to stay here. He hoped that Link would join him soon in the dance but this wouldn't be right to rush, shouldn't be rushed. It was a slow process for a reason, still he couldn't help the little bit of impatience he felt, the need to be accepted. He landed in the usual spot, peering over the veritable crowd that had now amassed for this event. He easily spotted the very confused Princess and smiled, Urbosa seemed to be taken aback as well and of course Daruk appeared shocked. He spotted Mipha smiling at him however, he wondered how long she would be smiling when she saw who he was courting. Revali turned his attention toward the updraft and watched as Link drifted into view. Link was only paying attention to him, it made him happy but he suspected that Link might lose his nerve if he saw all of those gathered.

Revali was now only focused on Link, it was partly discipline and partly because he was captivated. Link stopped in the usual spot, Revali waited for a few moments, soaking in the moment. Then he began, it was easy to keep his eyes on Link for most of the dance, save for the turns. He almost thought for a moment that Link was going to join him but he knew it was too soon yet. Surely the other male was still learning how to do the steps, he smiled as Link was still very clearly watching his every move, his every step. Link was even appreciating the sheen his plumage, it made him happy to see the other so focused on him. He almost wanted to add an extra round of the dance near the end but instead ended it with his usual flair. Link's ears had a bit of pink at the tips, he stepped closer then.

"Shall we meet at the table?" Revali asked. Link nodded but his face said he was concerned.

"Do you think they'll say anything?" Link asking his own question, in return. He looked over to see the shocked looks on a few of their faces, he gave a shrug.

"It's too hard to tell," Revali replied. "We will find out when they snap out of, whatever that is I suppose." Link chuckled at that, he wanted so badly to touch Link at that moment but it wouldn't be proper. Then again his courtship had been a little, unorthodox, unplanned and mostly full of surprises. He only allowed Link to be as physical, as he had been, because it was culturally okay for Hylians to do things such as hand holding. Mostly, he didn't stop the other male because he craved to touch Link and every moment he remained close, made it that much harder to resist. "Go on, I will catch up." Revali said, he made sure Link was heading that way and even waited until that the others departed the Divine Beast before flying off himself. He made a stop to collect the toy Link had bought for him, then to his own nest to place the toy there, after that he headed to the table and sat beside Link.

The silence was deafening and he could tell Link was feeling it's weight by the droop in his shoulders and ears. He looked see Mipha giving him a cold glare but it's chill did not bother him, he cared little for whether she hated him or not. Princess Zelda cleared her throat but before she could say anything, the fans arrived. He grinned and did more than his fair share of signatures but none were as busy as Mipha was, with all the fans she had missed out signing autographs for the day before.

His wing was a little stiff and sore by the time lunch rolled around, it was then that he made his escape, dragging an eager Link behind him. He didn't go to the inn this time, he was heading straight for his roost. They were not going to be surrounded today, nor would he allow them to bombard Link with questions. Mostly his reasons were on the selfish side, as he didn't want Link to change his mind or be influenced by Mipha in any way. At the same time though, he had guessed that Link didn't want to be surrounded and attacked. At the very least not today and certainly not tomorrow. Revali looked at Link, once they had reached his roost and saw the hylian smile before walking in with him.

"As much as I enjoy the company of our friends," Link began. "I was really wanting to be alone with you, how did you know?"

"Lucky guess," he replied. The very thought of Link wishing to be alone with him, made him so very happy. "I have to admit though, it was also for my own selfish reasons. I'm sure you would rather they not attack you today with questions?"

"Definitely not," Link replied, the hylian was being serious. He was going to start cooking when Link actually beat him to it, the other male added a few ingredients that he didn't normally have available as well. He wondered if Link kept those ingredients on wing for his own cooking purposes, he smiled as Link prepared the meals and handed him a plate. Link then sat beside him, so closely that they were almost touching. He wanted this moment to last.. No, he wanted many more moments just like this, only closer and stronger. When he finished, he set his plate aside to wash later and shortly after, Link handed him the other now empty plate. He thought Link would set off right away but the hylian surprised him with a pout. "I know it probably isn't proper but could I just cuddle with you for a moment?" Link was right, it wasn't proper but how could he say no to such a cute pout? He sighed and smiled.

"Of course, I thought you would rather rush off however," Revali said. Link shook his head and cuddled up against him, he wasn't quite sure what to do in this instance. He opted to hold Link close, it was quiet for many moments and surprisingly comfortable. "When you accept me, we will have many moments like this." He felt Link chuckle at that and the hylian pulled away, running his fingers in the feathers at his cheek. It felt good and right to him somehow, he wanted to experience more but Link stopped.

"I'll see you at dinner," Link said. Revali grabbed Link's arm to stop him briefly.

"I'll meet you in Vah Medoh," Revali mentioned. "I will have something special that I wish to share with you." Link smiled and nodded, then he left heading off to the place where courtees practice. He wanted to follow but if he did it would be a major misstep, he was already pushing the boundaries but only because Link was Hylian. He allowed many things he shouldn't but following would make him unsuited to become Link's mate, he would have to trust and have patience that Link would join him. Walking to the edge of his roost, he look at the inn. Their 'friends' as Link called them, were there seemingly having a grand time.

He supposed now was as good of a time to join them, he easily flew down to where they were. Revali fully expected their anger, especially the Princess' wrath. He cleared his throat and the other's looked at him but he was surprised when Daruk spoke first.

"Hey look who came to join us," He was as pleased as ever.

"Ah yes, Revali come take a seat," Urbosa invited, she seemed to be unfazed by the day's events for the most part. "Then you can tell us when you fell for Link." His tail flitted a bit, an automatic reaction to his surprise.

"I wish you would have told us you were courting Link," Zelda piped in, she looked a little down. He looked to Mipha who still had a sour demeanor toward him.

"Poor Mipha is sad that you'll be taking Link from her," Daruk teased.

"I-I am not, I am happy that Link seems so.. happy," Mipha said, still her expression spoke volumes about her true thoughts. "It's Revali I don't trust, what really are your true intentions?" He could understand her distrust for him, he hadn't exactly been kind to Link but it was mostly due to his own insecurities. It wasn't until that one escapade with Link, that he realized he had harbored feelings for the knight.

"I.. wish to keep him happy," Revali replied. Mipha's expression seemed to soften. "As you well know, I am not known to express what I feel within. But I wish to change that, at least with Link, I respect and.. love him." He looked pointedly at Zelda for this next part, he wanted to ensure she knew his full intentions to keep him here in Rito Village. "I also will want to keep him here, with me." Zelda smiled at that, she nodded and he wondered briefly if she was going to release him from his duties.

"I think, it will be great for him to stay here," Zelda replied. "Though now I know why, he has seemed livelier here and happier as well, lately that is."

"So he will be living farther, from the domain," Mipha whispered, sadly.

"If you are worried about him not visiting, let me assure you that he most likely will," Revali replied. "No one will stop him from going if he really wants to, I will also most-likely accompany him." He watched as she gave him a surprised look at that, he would never keep Link cooped up but the smaller male would decide when and where they travel to. "Rito value freedom above all else, why would I as a warrior, deny him the freedom to travel whenever he sees fit?"

"Fair point," she replied, with a small smile.

"Of course, he will mostly likely decide where we travel and when," Revali said.

"So you will stop by my city for your honeymoon, yes?" Urbosa asked. Revali was taken aback by that, he wanted to ask why but feared he might not like the answer. "There's something I wish to give him as a wedding present," She explained.

"I will inform him then," Revali replied.

"Plus you two could enjoy the oasis while you are visiting," she added. He nodded at that, it had been quite some time since he had visited that very same oasis. The waters had been crystal clear and warm, yet also cooling him down from the heat of the desert. But it would lack privacy, even at night.

"They could also come to the domain," Mipha challenged. Revali began to wonder if this would devolve into a fight but after a moment's staring contest, the two women laughed. Revali did not see the humor in it but watched as they talked amongst themselves. They talked about when and where a wedding party could be held, as well as when and where the honeymoon could be located. It was almost as though they were planning everything for him and Link. He wondered briefly if they would even give them a moment to make their own plans, he didn't like following the plans that others make after all. It should be his and Link's decision, if they have a wedding party or even a honeymoon for that matter.

Revali managed to sneak away, he had bigger fish to fry after all and boy was it a bigger fish. He bought two freshly caught hearty salmon and headed back to his roost to cook it, once there he added goat butter and some Tabantha wheat along with the fresh fish. He prepared the two Hearty Salmon Meunière, then packed them into a box on a platter along with a couple of plates. The box was designed to keep them warm as he flew, as well as stable. He then flew up to Vah Medoh and set up the box as a small table and then made the two plates of food. Link would be arriving very soon, if anything the male was predictable and this time was no different. Revali finished the preparations just in time, he stood to meet the other male outside of the makeshift room before stepping aside revealing the meal.

"Is this..?" Link asked, he sounded excited. Revali nodded, he was unbelievably happy with how it all turned out.

"Hearty Salmon Meunière, I made it myself," he replied. Link sat down and took up one of the plates, savoring the aroma. Revali took up the second plate but he waited to see Link's expression before he began too eat. The large smile and moan, told him that Link was definitely enjoying the meal. He on the other wing, was much more quiet when he savored meals. Still, hearing his future mate enjoying one of his meals made him happy, ecstatic even. Revali was first to finish despite being second to start eating, he set his plate down and waited until Link was finished as well. Link was quick to set his plate down, once he had finished as well.

"That was delicious," Link said, the other male threw him off guard by enveloping him in a hug. His surprise only lasted a moment and soon he was holding the hylian just as tight, it was incredible the amount of love that he felt. He wanted to preen Link so much but held off on that thought, it still was not time to show all of his affection just yet. He allowed Link to pull away and then he stood, it was time for him to return to his nest. He had to return or he might just do something that he would regret later. He collected his plates and his box, tucking the two plates within. "Tomorrow." Link said simply. Revali smiled, he knew he would see Link tomorrow.

"I shall see you tomorrow," Revali replied.

"Bright and early?" Link asked.

"Earlier, my people will not be greeting the morning tomorrow," he replied. "We were only greeting the morning in honor of the festival, something the hatchlings thought up as part of the ceremony."

"Aww," Link said. "The festival will be a yearly thing?"

"Most-likely," Revali replied. Link nodded to him then, as if he had decided something but didn't share it. He wanted to ask what the other male was thinking but Link suddenly yawned.

"See you tomorrow," he said, Revali smiled and made his way to the edge. The flight to his roost was rather quick, he collected the other two plates and took them with him. He would wash them and then turn in for the night, he was looking forward to tomorrow but he wasn't so certain that he should be this excited. Once back at his roost he spotted the doll that looked similar to Link. He set the box aside and climbed into his nest pulling the object close, breathing in the scent. Revali smiled and drifted off, his soon to be mate seemed even closer that night.
