Set in 'TOW Mrs. Bing'. There's no coma guy happened here in the story.
Monica's POV
We all gather in the living room waiting for Chandler's mom to pop out on Jay Leno. We are all amped to see his mother especially Rachel, while Chandler on the other hand keeps convincing us to watch Weekend at Bernie's. As we continue to wait, I realized that we haven't told our parents yet that I'm pregnant. Oh, God, how will my mother react to this? What if she becomes ashamed of me for having a baby and not even getting married. I'm going to take her broadside again, well, I got used to it already, anyways.
"Chandler, when will we tell your parents about the pregnancy?" I asked him, looking back from my couch, where he is.
"Well, we could tell them... nothing..." He said.
"What? No, we need to tell them. They need to know about this," I said, now positioning myself, kneeling on the couch, to look at him better.
"Why? Why do they need to know about this? I barely even see my father and my mother...well, she's going to visit here in New York I think, tomorrow?"
"Well, they need to know about this because first of all, they're your parents and second this is their grandchild," the same point as my first one, "And third...no nothing that's it. If your mother going to visit you then we're going to tell her...as of your father...I don't know, you said he's in Vegas right?"
"Yeah...so?"
"We're going to see him there," I said as I plopped myself down on the chair at the same time Mrs. Bing came out from the tv.
"What?!" He exclaimed, "Don't tell me you're serious, because we're not going to fly over Vegas just to tell my father that. I could call him...you know..." He trailed out the last statement.
Rachel's boyfriend appears from the door, "Bona sera,"
I rolled my eyes at Chandler and look up at him again, "Please!, I know you're not going to give him a call so we're going to see him and since I'm pregnant and I won't be able to do some stuff anymore...we are all going to Vegas and have fun," I said, to everyone and they all agree, making Chandler groaned, "Fine!"
"Oh no, I am a fabulous mom! I bought my son his first condoms," Nora Bing suddenly said on the tv and we all look at Chandler who was glaring at it, "...and then he burst into flames," standing beside me.
"You know, maybe that's the condom we used that night," I whispered at him, "Maybe...or I am just that amazing that it broke," He said. I chuckle.
He was amazing that night.
"Guys, big brother over here," Ross said, overhearing our conversation.
We were out in the Mexican restaurant, sitting beside Chandler so that if he starts to tell her, I could support him out. Ross somehow got clearly drunk and Rachel and Paolo continue to do inappropriate stuff in front of us.
"So dear, what's going on with your life right now?" His mother asked and we both tense up. "Well, life's good. I'm doing great at my not-so-loving Job," He said, taking a glance at me, "You told me that it was only a temp. job, you should just quit and follow your dreams, you wanted to be a writer right. Why don't you follow it?"
I smiled, I love how Mrs. Bing still cares about Chandler's dream.
"Mom, it's not that easy. You know how much money did they only pay for writing."
"It's where your passion is anyway, you should just pursue it and don't worry about the money," She said.
"Well, Chandler is gonna need a lot of money, for now, Mrs. Bing," Phoebe abruptly said. We gave her a death glare and Mrs. Bing looks at him confused.
"What? What does that mean?" She asked.
I put my hand into his thigh and softly rubbed it, he put his hand on top of mine, needing some assurance. "Mom... you're going to be a Grandma...Yeah," He trailed out, giving him a weird smile surprise, she looks at him, bewilder.
"What? Who's the girl? Is she a hooker? Are you going to raise the baby together? Are you going to get married?" She fired up some questions, making Chandler flinch.
"It's Monica, and she's not a hooker, yes, we're going to raise this baby together but not... actually together..." he mumbles, taking a glance at me and I sadly smiled at him, "and No, we're not going to get married," he finished.
"Mo—? Monica? Monica. Her?" pointing me and I softly nodded. "Oh... congratulations to you guys. How far are you along Monica?" She asked.
"I'll be Three months in next week," I answered, looking at Chandler who has a smile on his face.
It scares me that he's taking this pretty well. At first, I thought he's going to freak out and still freak out but he took it well and even visited me at the hospital after a week of our fight.
I'm waiting for the day that he becomes all Chandler but I don't really want that to happen, I'm okay with the Chandler I have now.
"That's great and Chandler, always be there for her," slapping his chest playfully.
"Why does everybody keep saying that?" He asked, slightly annoyed.
The gangs chuckled, "What?" he asked.
"Well, dude, It's just that...you're scared at this kind of stuff and maybe one day...you leave Monica...alone," Joey said, keeping the last statement, inaudible.
I sat uncomfortably on the chair, I rubbed his thigh under the table, and he looks at them seriously, "Did you guys really think of that?" He asked and they reluctantly nodded.
"Wow... I'm— I need to get some fresh air," He mumbles, leaving the table.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt his feelings..." Joey said as Phoebe rubs his back.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine," I said, looking in the direction he had just left, "I'll go talk to him," excusing myself from the table.
I saw Chandler standing by the bushes, trying to light up some cigarette. I sigh. He does that when he stress or something going on with his mind.
"Hey, you okay?" touching his back and he flinches, maybe he didn't notice me, "Hey, what are you doing here?" he asked, trying to light up but his lighter but I think it's dead.
"Could you be a dear and light this up for me," He said, sarcastically.
I sigh, "Joey didn't mean to say that..." I said.
"Then what did he actually mean to say?" He asked, throwing the lighter in the trashcan. I had no idea what to say, I just look at him, Noticing that he's trying to keep his frustration inside of him, "Did you think of me that too?" He suddenly asked.
I stay quiet for a while, avoiding his stare as I cleared up my throat, "To be honest. I thought it at first— but only because I know you are scared of these kinds of stuff. BUT. when you visited me in the hospital after the week of our fight, I knew that you will keep your promise: that you will never leave me." hugging myself as I confessed.
"Thanks. For being honest...and I promise you that I will always be there for you through your bad days and even more bad bad days," he said, sticking out his pinky and I laugh, "What is this? Are we a bunch of 6 years old?" I joked.
"Hey, come on just do it, so that I really swear my promise,"
I rolled my eyes and did the pinky swear, and he pulls my hand and gave me a hug which surprised me, "Thank you for being there with me too, Mon," He said as I untangled our fingers and hug him back. I buried my face on his chest and smelled his cologne, I know this is inappropriate to do to your friend but the man's scent was intoxicating.
He grabs my hand and smiled at me, "Let's come in now, maybe Joey is crying right now,"
Chandler's POV
It's been two days since my mother is here in New York, and Ross and Joey have kinda been acting weird since we left the restaurant. Our discussion that night left me thinking, I didn't know that they thought of me that way; That I'm going to leave, Monica alone. I'm not a jerk, I know sometimes I get freaked out but I'm trying my best to control it. It just saddens me by the fact that they all think of me that way; it offended me.
Ross went into the apartment, looking rather nervous, "Chandler, I need to tell you something and promise me you don't freak out," He said.
"Why? Is my baby being born today? Wait. I should go pack and run away!" I said, my voice had a hint of annoyance.
"You still on that?" Joey said in the bar, making a sandwich, "I thought you forgiven me."
"Right, sorry. I just can't get that off my mind."
"No, it's okay. I understand." He said.
"Anyway, I need to tell you something," Ross once again, said.
"What's that?" I asked, taking a seat on the chair.
"Uhm—Uhm. Something happened the night in the restaurant— Uhm. Nora—I mean, Mrs. Bing..." Ross taking a glance at Joey, "Paolo and Mrs. Bing kissed!" He said at full speed, and I was stunned.
"Oh my God," Is the only words that came out of my mouth.
"You're my friend. I-I need to tell you this,"
"I can't believe it. Paolo, kissed my mom?"
I slam the door closed in apartment 20. I can't believe that Ross kissed my mom, that's just gross and weird. All of my friends, no one knows the crap I go through with my mom more than him and of course, Monica. I don't want to imagine my mom kissing my best Ross, that's just WEIRD.
"Hey, Something happened?" Suddenly a familiar voice was heard across the living room.
I didn't notice Monica was sitting on the sofa, "You seem grumpy today, something happened?" She asked, concerned.
I breathe out and walk across the living room, seating beside her, "Yeah...Ross kissed... my mom," I muttered.
"What?!" She exclaimed, "That's—"
"Weird. I know,"
"Why would he do that?" She asked.
"He had too much tequila and one thing led to another he was smooching my mother outside the restroom."
"Damn, Ross..."
"I know, Anyway, what are you doing? Where're the girls?" I asked and I take a glance around the living room and I saw Monica holding a pregnancy book that Ross has and I suddenly feel uneasy.
"Oh, Nothing. Just reading, some y' know already—" Holding out the book and shaking it. "Oh..."
I look down and I noticed that her bump is becoming more and more visible each week. It's kinda cute, though.
"You know, what I just discover."
"What?"
"That the end of the first trimester, the pregnant lady starts to feel...what do you call this? Oh. Erotically charged." She said and I gave her an odd look. What is she trying to say?
"Y'know, In college term it's called, "Horny," I said, and she rolled her eyes, "So?"
"Nothing. It's just that, I don't know... Nothing. I just wanted to share with you," She said, then flipping the pages of the book, hiding her face in it.
I sigh and patted her thigh, "Anyways, I'm getting some coffee downstairs, you want to come?" I asked as she removes my hands quickly on her thigh, "No, I'm okay. I'm just going to wait for the girls." She ruffled suddenly.
"Okay...then...See you again, later. Bye," as I stand up and leave the apartment. Well, that was kinda weird too, I thought.
As I went downstairs, I bumped into Phoebe and Rachel who have dozens of muffins in their hands, I think Monica is having one of those days who's craving for food.
Wait, "Nothing. It's just that, I don't know... Nothing. I just wanted to share with you,"
Wait! Is she Horny?! That's why she's been acting so weird, Wow, Is she almost going to jump herself on me? Doubt it. She's the one who said that we're going to stick being just friends, though if she asks, I'm not going to decline her. I think.
After a few minutes, Ross and I start to argue in the coffee shop. He thinks I should go to talk to my mother too, but it's a kinda complicated idea.
"Because it's complicated, it's complex- Hey, you kissed my mom!" I exclaimed and people turn their heads at us.
"Oh, Yeah?! Well, you had sex with my sister!" He shot back and people around us gasp.
"We're still rehearsing a greek play," using the earlier excuse as they continue their conversation, "That's different, and don't drag that into this," I whispered to him.
"How is that different?! Enlightenment me, please!" He said as I ignore him by going to the restroom, "Hey, don't escape from me. Tell me why is that different?" Gripping my arms tightly, "Ross, let me go. Before I will do something that I'll regret later," I said, clenching my teeth, but he chooses to ignore, "No! Tell me how is that different? Yours is much worse, you used her and got her pregnant!"
I glared at him, and I shove my arm away from his hands, "I did not use her that day!"
"Then tell me, how is that different?!"
Suddenly, I feel bubbles of frustration overflowing into my body, "TELL ME HOW!"
"BECAUSE I WAS IN LOVE WITH HER WHEN THAT HAPPENED!" I burst out and he flinches, all the people in the coffee shop stare at us, "Happy now?! You. Are you in love with my mother when you kissed her?! No. So there's a difference! That wasn't just SEX to me, it was more than that. I DIDN'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER and I can't believe I'm telling you this!" I vented out as I start to leave in the coffee shop but he follows me, "Chandler, wait—"
"Don't... Ross, Just leave me for a while..." I sigh, running upstairs to my apartment.
I can't believe I just told him that I was in love with his little sister. My deepest secret was just completely revealed and out of all people, it was to Monica's brother, Ross.
What am I gonna do now?
