A/N: Can anyone tell me what an enigma, wrapped in an enigma and dipped in enigma sauce is? Like I know what Enigma means but what the what even is that whole phrase? Enigma: a person or thing that is mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand. But seriously what is Enigma sauce? Wth? Lol.

Link was glad to have someone to hunt with but he was exactly comfortable being carted around. At least for now though he could teach the young rito warrior, or was he a hunter? About hunting on foot and tracking their prey. But what about after? What would he really bring to the hunt? He wasn't that much more experienced than Munsezo he could tell just by the expertise the rito had showed on their second hunt. They caught a couple of birds the warrior had spotted and flushed out of hiding. Granted Link had helped shoot down a few as well but still, was he really a valuable hunting partner? Link looked around at their surroundings, they were currently on their way back from the hunt. He suspected the other was going to fly him to Vah Medoh but instead the other landed in the village. He could help but appreciate the other for that, at least Munsezo was treating him like any other member of the village. Once landed he hopped off but instead of heading straight home as he should of he stuck around.
"Mind if we chat a little?" Link asked. The other turned to face him then shrugged, Link smiled a bit as the other seemed to be waiting. "How's things going with Nysh? Any progress?" He watched the feather's raise a bit and the other male stopped to regard him a little more seriously.
"You noticed," Munsezo said simply. "No, no progress."
"Does he like to collect anything in particular or like anything?" Link asked, curious.
"Shells," Munsezo replied, after some serious thought.
"You ever thought of bringing him one?" Link asked. The other was quiet for a long while, clearly struggling with something.
"No," The other finally said, rubbing the back of his neck as though embarrassed.
"Maybe you should, I know a great place to get some rather rare shells but it's pretty far away," Link mentioned.
"Where?" the rito hunter asked.
"Zora's domain," Link answered. He watched as Munsezo stood there, closing his eyes for a moment. He wondered if the other was considering going, just to get a shell for Nysh. Then the other nodded at something before looking at him.
"Tomorrow we hunt early," was all the other said before heading away from Link. He smiled, maybe that was a yes though in different words. Maybe he would find out later on, or maybe he would find out tomorrow. He decided to head back to his and Revali's roost, he would definitely have to wait up for the other male tonight.
"Early?" Revali asked. "Why do you want to be awake early tomorrow?"
"Hunting," Link replied. "Munsezo wants to get an early start for some reason."
"Unusual, he.. did you do something to influence this?" the warrior queried.
"Me? Why would you think I had anything to do with this?" he questioned in answer.
"Munsezo never goes to hunt early unless ordered to," Revali mentioned, eyeing him intently. "So did you say something or was he ordered to?"
"Well I might have told him where to get a certain item," Link said. "But I never said we needed to hunt early."
"Item?" Revali asked.
"Okay, okay, apparently Nysh likes shells," Link began. "So I told him he could find some rare ones at Zora's Domain but that is it."
"Nysh? Oh I get it," Revali said finally putting it all together. "Playing match-maker, though it might be just the push those two need. Honestly, so early tomorrow hunt probably to get food for the entire day. Hmm I'll have to hurry and bring back some salts to help preserve the meat and keep it in a place to chill it. I'll have to ask the Chief if I can handle those things tomorrow and that will probably extend my sentence."
"Well I have salt," Link mentioned. "I can handle.."
"Let me at least do this," Revali whispered. Link smiled and nodded, he wasn't sure what he would do if the other male had remained angry with him. "Besides he might need someone to go with him." Link was surprised at that, but why would he need to go to the Domain? "You did after all promise to visit Sidon yes?" Link sighed but nodded.
"But only if he needs me to go," Link said. "I won't go unless he asks, besides I would rather be here supporting you."
"Very well.." his beloved acknowledged. They sat in silence and ate dinner, after which they laid down and went to sleep.

Link was woken early and prepared for the day's hunt, or at least he thought he was preparing for the days hunt but something seemed off. He looked around but Revali was already gone and he was lone except he wasn't alone in Vah Medoh any longer. He was lost and alone in the woods, he ran through the trees and ducking under branches. There was no landmarks, nothing that could tell him where he was. He was running aimlessly through the wilderness at this point, where even was this stretch of woods and why did it go on forever? He stopped in the third clearing he'd passed, it was same as all the others and not even the slightest bit different from.
Rustling in the bushes around him alerted him to the presence of others but who were they? Every where he looked seemed to be a moving bush or tree and then he came face to face with Kyth. That haunted look that made him appear older than he was, a look of fear, doubt and defeat.
"Run," he said, Link bolted for the tree line. He was running but his legs suddenly felt like lead and his arms just as heavy. "RUN!" the scream had him struggling more, his breathing slowly becoming more difficult. He was suffocating, was he going to die here?
Link woke with a gasp as he sat up, sweat beading his forehead. He wasn't sure what was going on or where he was but he felt like he had to go and now. But go where? He couldn't even see anything, it was pitch black and.. and he paused as he felt feathers running up and down his arm.
"Revali," he whispered.
"I'm here," the other responded, groggily. He had had a nightmare, why now? Link wasn't sure why he was having nightmares so suddenly but he definitely didn't want to have anymore. He curled up to Revali and laid awake for a few moments, he wasn't really sure what he would do to stop the nightmare however. What could he do other than lie awake? He nuzzled his face into the soft feathers and breathed in. Somehow just being close to his lover was like a soothing balm and soon found himself drifting back to sleep.
