Hey, I've really been wanting to write but school has cruelly swept me away, and I regret every moment a new chapter isn't up for my stories. So please, bear with me and understand I haven't been able to write or when I am, I'm just far too tired. I've had a bit of depression too so that doesn't help. But hey, it could always be worse. Anyways, this story is of course using the beautiful (snicker) Jonathan Larson's musical. Rent more or less obviously. Hee I a little story I have written to redeem myself.
Soft giggles were heard in the park as a couple had stepped with a slight rhythm. This day had seemed special, but what was it? The sweet air? The warmth of a specific other pressed gently against your shoulder as fingers laced together. Maybe it was a little surprise that a certain person didn't know about.
"Hey babe." Collins breathed out, trying to keep pace with his cheerful lover.
Angel hadn't noticed his gentle words for the first few moments. She was far too distracted by the world around her, everything blossoming, growing, and coming to life once more. Spring was always the best time of the year. It could not help but be improved by a relaxed afternoon. Not being threatened by the troubles of life, and death. "Yes Hun?" Her soft voice replied kindly. I've longed to discover, something as true as this is.
"With a thousand sweet kisses." He spoke gently coming to a stop under an apple tree, covered with a display of firework pink blossoms. Creating certain warmth and an added pink tint to his lover's white pleated skirt. Getting on one knee that familiar smile came on his face and his eyes shown that look that Angel adored so much. That look of innocence. Moistened lips parted slightly as he was about ready to continue this. This promise.
Dark eyes stared down to the other's and a strange rush came. "When you're cold and you're lonely…" She had said in reply as if having that 'women's intuition' of what was going on. The thing was, is that it made her heart flutter higher then ever. A sudden rush of light-headedness had come over her as well.
It had been strange these past few weeks. It seemed as though her lover had been more distant then ever, and even dangerously close to being suspected for cheating. Constantly going out, and spending more time teaching then ever. It had hurt so much thinking about what the possibilities of something like this. But, then again, there was that loyalty they had promised together so long ago.
"Open your door, I'll be your tenant… Don't got much baggage to lay at your feet…" Words had seemed to barely speak those thoughts and feelings. Those feelings that, at one point, were thought to have never been heard, by anyone. "Oh lover, I'll cover you…" Now pulling a small velvet red box out of his pocket. There could be no other colour for his Angel! That one had always been the symbol of love.
A sweet sweet smile and a quite apparent blush Angel had answered, "A new lease you are my love… On life…" A few delicate pink petals had fallen from the gentle breeze by the two. Was this really happening? It was a dream come true, to be with someone so great. Someone who made you smile and laugh, someone who made everything so sweet even in a few words.
"Be my life…" The professor had once more said slipping that ring on. His beautiful lover's eyes were looking down upon him. Such kindness in a world where life was more then unfair. Maybe they didn't have a lot of time, but they made every moment count. That's what mattered the most.
"No Day But Today"
