A/N: I just watched Moon Child and it made me cry. :( I love the movie so much now; it didn't have the best cinematics, but the sheer emotion in it made it that much better for me. This fic is just an idea of what may have happened after Sho 'died'.
Disclaimer: I do not own Moon Child in any way, shape, or form.

Kei felt his breath leave him as Sho's eyes became overly bright, staring upwards at some unknown presence. There was so much blood, so much of Sho's blood, and he had never been more afraid of the red substance in his life.
Because this is Sho's life that is flowing onto Kei's fingers as he desperately tries to block the wound. His best friend, the one whom he'd been with since Sho had been a child…never had Kei thought that anything could hurt this much.
"Sho, don't die, don't leave me," he begged, his voice choked. He couldn't bear it, he couldn't just let this happen, but how could he fix it?
Suddenly, Sho's words from earlier that day entered his mind. 'I want you to turn Yi-Che into a vampire.' Kei had denied him then- he couldn't put that fate on Yi-Che, he had told Sho that it was selfish of him to want that for her. But now…
Kei loved Sho. This realization came to him as he cradled the younger man's body, listening as he coughed up blood. It wasn't like he hadn't known this before- he'd always loved Sho, ever since he had, as a child, grinned at Kei with that fearless, trusting smile. But never had he realized just how deep that love went, until now. Kei couldn't bear the thought of life without Sho, and now, for the same reason that Sho had asked him to turn Yi-Che, Kei wanted to turn Sho.
Could he really do that, though? Could he really damn him to the same, cursed life? Yes, he decided; he could.
I'm such a hypocrite, he thought, shaking his head as he leaned down and pressed his mouth to Sho's neck. I called him selfish for wanting this for Yi-Che, but if that's so, then what does that make me?
He drank the blood of his beloved, feeling more tears rolling down his cheeks as he did so. When he felt the life almost leave Sho, he pulled back and hugged him tightly, unable to keep from sobbing.
"I'm sorry Sho…I'm sorry. I love you."
He could feel Sho convulsing as a new type of life coursed through him, a wretched, terrible new half-life that he, Kei, was responsible for creating.
"I'm sorry," he repeated, leaning his cheek against the other man's blond and brown hair. "I'm sorry that I'm so selfish."
