Greetings and welcome to a new story, I had the idea about this after reading some similar stories so I decided to try it, there will be some significant changes (or maybe not so much XD) although I will try to adhere to the canon as much as possible and maybe the only element that can bother some people is the OC but it is justified by the development of the plot and the story, if you don't agree with it there is no problem, I respect your opinion as well as I hope you respect my creative freedom, leaving that aside I hope you have fun with the story. Many times he repeated that phrase to himself like a mantra since he was four years old when his ordeal began, "men are not born equal", for eleven years I have seen him experience the cruel joke of the universe as well as being labeled as invalid for lacking what others have and which in his own words makes them special... yes, specially a great group of imbeciles, of all living beings on this planet had to be a masochistic idiot to get my attention, humans in the past had their faults but they knew how to fight for what they considered fair and defend themselves from injustices when necessary but now... now I wonder where the hell this kid became a complete failure, when did he start believing that being treated like shit was acceptable or that protecting the abusive was the right thing to do just because they would be "excellent heroes"? And why the fuck am I so interested in his pathetic, miserable life?
I need to calm down and stop being so irrational before I end up getting angry and destroying the whole planet out of fucking frustration at seeing that dumb kid, I'm still trying to understand why his mother isn't acting like she should even though part of it might well be in the wake of her divorce from that piece of shit she chose as her life partner, it's not like they can know what the future holds for them to try and correct their mistakes in time and avoid unnecessary suffering, but what can you do, only omnipotent beings are capable of performing such feats that escape their worldly understanding and comprehension... and then there's me, who despite being what they call a divine being who should be busy with other, more important matters, I have dedicated myself to watching over the life of a child who is a bloody masochistic idiot and who is also contemplating the bloody idea of jumping off that building... I swear, I would like to understand why I care so much about him.
-"I'm sorry mom... but everyone is right, I'm not worth anything and I don't want you to keep suffering because of me" − a simple looking boy with forest green hair kept holding a railing, his look showed fear and determination to jump into nothingness where he would find peace to all his problems without knowing that someone would prevent that.
-"Of course, as if jumping into the void and having a painful and agonizing death would reassure her, do you really think your mother would be happy about that?" − The voice of a little girl reproaching him surprised him to the point that he almost let go of the railing, instinctively he held on tightly to turn around and actually see a little girl no older than seven years old who was looking at him completely upset and with her arms crossed waiting for an answer.
-"N-no I don't... You wouldn't understand, no one would!" − The boy responded energetically trying to justify his situation but the little girl was not buying that excuse as she intensified the way she looked at him.
- "And what wouldn't he understand?... Izuku Midoriya" − asked the little girl who also called him by his full name which ended up scaring the boy who didn't believe what was happening to him.
-"H-How do you know my...?" − The girl just raised her hand to cut off his question, Izuku had never seen that girl in her life and the fact that she apparently knew him filled him with fear to the point of thinking about jumping away from her.
-"How do I know you're an idiot?, It wasn't difficult considering that you're in a jumping position and that this building is high enough to give you a quick end if you're lucky or at worst an agony that could last for hours" − she just said the little girl who didn't change her attitude towards him, it was as if she knew him and was lecturing him about the stupid thing he was trying to do recently.
-"I didn't think to do it... it's just... today wasn't a good day and..." − again he was cut off from his explanation by the girl who now gave him a blank stare as she frowned, it was as if she had already heard what he was about to say and simply chose to cut it off so as not to hear it.
-"Eleven years..." − said the little girl calmly taking the boy by surprise who did not understand her answer and made him question whether it had any meaning.
-"E-Excuse me?" − Asked Izuku, trying to get a clue or for the little girl to expand on what she had said.
-"You've had a bad day for eleven years with the belief that everything will change and that your special gift will finally appear to make things go back to the way they were, eleven years wasted on foolish dreams preferring to avoid the cruel reality" − after saying this the boy wished he hadn't heard her, the fear grew even greater when he discovered that she was reading it as if it were an open book and moreover as if that wasn't enough she was throwing her past mistakes in his face as if she enjoyed doing it.
-"But how do you know?!... you have a quirk that allows you to see through time?!" − Asked Izuku thinking that should be the reason she knew so much about him while trying to understand who she was and why she was specifically here with him, all while trying to control her fear without much success.
-"I have no such thing, I have been watching you for years and I know what you have been through, the years of abuse that you could have avoided if you weren't such an asshole but decided you deserved it and then complained about how badly life was treating you" − somehow her talking to him so hard seemed to calm him down a bit, Izuku couldn't understand him because he perceived it as so strange... and nice at the same time.
-"Why are you acting this way with me?" − Asked the boy as he returned to safety, the girl showed no signs of wanting to move from her place and she also saw nothing to say she would try to attack him... at least not at the moment.
-"Why do you keep protecting that jerk who should never be a hero and who will continue to make your life a living hell with the only difference being that he will become an untouchable person and make you suffer even more?" − The little girl asked, expecting an answer but the boy was upset by what she was trying to imply.
-"You don't know... You don't know anything about me or Kacchan or what I've been through for you to feel entitled to talk about my life as if you knew me!" − The boy responded aggressively, feeling that part of his frustration was fading with that response, he even ended up shutting up when he saw that he had shouted at the girl which made him feel guilty but the little girl's only immediate response was a blank stare and a sigh of frustration.
-"Izuku Midoriya, born in Musutafu Prefecture, was diagnosed without quirk at the age of four, you suffered abuse since then by the person you thought was a friend with whom you had a dream of forming a team of heroes, you are currently a senior at Alderan High School where everyone has abused you including the teachers and the principal, Today Katsuki Bakugo burned and ruined your notebook dedicated to analysis of heroes and not content with that he told you literally that you should kill yourself if you wanted a quirk ..." − if before Izuku was scared now no doubt was terrified, now the girl had told him things that only he and his mother knew and the worst thing is that now he was giving a cheeky smile as if he was challenging him to say that she was lying.
-"I-Impossible, H-How...?!" − For the third time the little girl cut her words again as she began to approach the boy who began to back away, crashing into the railing, fearing that she would now try to attack him.
-"I'm not finished, you were attacked by a villain recently and rescued by that hypocrite that you all revere as a savior, you held on to his leg ending up on this rooftop so you could ask him a question, the question that has kept you hanging on to your dreams and hopes to know that your existence is truly worthwhile, but he destroyed that when he told you that it wasn't possible given your state... and that brings us to this moment where you want to end your life like a coward" − Izuku was devastated to hear his life summed up so simply by a little girl he had never seen before, it was as if the universe wanted to screw him up even more by way of reminding him how useless he was and that nothing could change that.
-"What else can I do?! I'm just a worthless Deku and nothing is going to change that!... nobody has believed in me just because I'm quirkless..." − exclaimed the boy outside of himself with notable desperation, he didn't want to listen to the girl anymore and now he wanted to jump into the void to put an end to all this, however the little girl still had a couple of surprises that would change his perspective.
-"I believe in you Izuku, if it were not so because another reason would be here talking to you besides throwing your mistakes in your face, you should feel honored that someone like me is interested in someone like you among all the millions of beings that inhabit this planet" − said the little girl who now sketched a calm and sincere smile and then hugged the boy to calm him down, this action meant a lot to the young man who responded in the same way without managing to avoid his tears rolling down his face while a smile of gratitude formed on his face.
-"T-Thank you, thank you very much" − said the boy a little more calmly now.
-"At least it's nice to see a smile on your face for a change, regarding the questions you may have... one, talking about who I am will only keep you asking and I'm not in the mood right now to waste too much time with my explanation and two, I don't have what you refer to as quirk" − expressed the girl separating herself from him a little without knowing that this revelation had put the boy's brain to work trying to figure out how she knew so much about him without having a quirk as she had theorized.
-"Don't you have a quirk?, Then... you must be an Esper!" − he exclaimed triumphantly, excited to meet one as they were said to be individuals with even more extraordinary abilities than the quirks.
-"Are you serious?, look I'll take you home and try to explain your situation without mentioning that I'm informing Inko about the stupid thing you were going to do" − said the little girl with a slight hint of annoyance, by this point she believed that the boy would have already deduced that she wasn't human with the subtle clues I provide... unfortunately she was wrong.
-"How do you know my mom's name?!" − The boy reacted again with surprise and fear which led the girl to hit her face in frustration which made the teenager sweat. In short, this boy had his mind too atrophied with heroes and quirks to see that there was more to the universe than that.
-"I swear to you Izuku-Kun, you are a pain in the ass and I can't believe that you care more about how I know your mother's name than the fact that I will tell her that you almost killed yourself and everything that you have hidden from her but it doesn't matter, take my hand and be quiet".
Before the boy could respond to what she had told him as well as try to beg him not to say anything to his mother when he ended up being blinded by an intense light for a few seconds, when it dissipated he could see that he was now in the hall of his house and that his mother was looking at him and his companion totally surprised at having appeared out of nowhere, Izuku was completely stunned trying to think about what had happened and above all how he had transported them since she had told him she didn't have any quirk, none of this seemed possible without one but she proved it and even knew exactly where he lived, more and more questions were forming in the mind of the young man who now murmured uncontrollably and proceeded to write in his notebook a lot of ideas and theories about it.
- "I-IZUKU?, H-HOW?!" − The poor woman tried to understand what was going on, until a moment ago she was enjoying some tea while watching TV and suddenly a great glow caught her lighting up her home in a fleeting way just to find her son who looked just as confused as she what caught her attention most was the little girl standing next to her son who was no more than six or seven years old in her opinion. The woman tried to ask a question when the little girl cut her off before she could know what was happening.
-"Could we leave the questions for later, ma'am? It is going to take me about two hours to explain all of this so that you can understand it, if Izuku doesn't interrupt me... God, how I wish I had a couple of extra strong Aspirins at this momento" − commented the little girl who looked visibly stressed for some reason, there was something in the girl that the matriarch Midoriya could not specify but far from feeling scared she had feelings of concern, her almost angelic features told her that she was possibly a foreigner even though she spoke fluent Japanese making her doubt, even her look showed maturity despite her young age.
-"I'm sorry, but I don't think I have anything that a child of your age can drink. Would you like some tea and a cold compress?" − asked the sweet chubby mother who had come a little closer to make sure she was okay, not realizing the subtle frown of her little guest who ended up letting out a sigh in defeat.
-"Yes, I suppose that could also be useful... Izuku be a good boy and don't talk during the explanation because I don't feel like repeating things" − the girl indicated as she walked to the armchair to make herself comfortable before starting to give her explanation.
-"I understand... Uh…?" − At that moment the boy had noticed the only detail he had overlooked since their meeting and before he could ask her about it the little girl answered him from the comfort of her seat.
-"Adaline, my name is Adaline or at least that's the name I chose for myself" − was all the girl said before yawning as they waited for the boy's mother.
After waiting for a few minutes Inko came back with them bringing some tea and a cold compress that he placed on my forehead, when he finished he sat next to his son while I started with my explanation, Izuku's mother for a moment thought that the explanation she would hear was about how a little girl met her son and for some mysterious reason she brought him home with the help of her quirk thinking that he might be running away from bad people or some villain... too bad that her assumptions would not prepare her for this although I don't blame her,If I were in his shoes and a little girl from who knows where suddenly appeared out of nowhere and told me that he is the omnipotent equivalent of what the system of religions on this planet calls god, then I would react the same way my hosts are reacting and I would pass out... if it weren't for the enormous curiosity that I would also have at this moment.
The first hour went by without any problems with my explanation of the universe, the way I became conscious or as they say, the way I "was born" and strangely enough I already had a broad knowledge of my new environment as well as the ability to create life, this interested them very much to the extent that Izuku had started writing everything down in a notebook so as not to lose detail, as I advanced in history I also did so with some things and maybe mentioning the fact that I created this planet because I had nothing better to do was not something they would have expected to hear. I had basically told them that I was responsible for life in this world and quite possibly for the skills known as quirk although if I must be honest I don't remember, I have been here too long to remember what I have done or not done.
-"Adaline-Chan this...is a lot to understand and I won't deny that I am overwhelmed by all this information" − responded a very stressed out mother who was trying to process the fact that the little girl in front of her was a being with a power beyond all understanding and logic.
-"It's normal to feel this way, imagine how I felt the first time I created life in my first galaxy" − commented Adaline while smiling.
-"I don't think any of us can imagine that, Adaline-Chan" − answered Izuku who had recently stopped writing. Her mind was trying to find a rational logic to her words and to link it to some kind of extremely rare quirk, but deep down something told her that everything the girl had said was very real.
-"Yes, sorry about that... sometimes I forget that it is already difficult for you to try to understand what I have said so far" − Adaline's words did little to reassure and comfort the little family of two, for a moment she had made up her mind that she would have to do more to convince them but in the end things ended up a little different than she thought.
-"So... what is the reason you are here with us specifically, we are just a simple, humble family with nothing special" − asked the devoted mother with a serious concern that a "goddess" was in her living room and she had chosen her son for some kind of cosmic plan or whatever it was she had in mind.
-"I don't have one" − said the little girl directly surprising the boy's mother with that statement − "I just thought he was interesting and so I've been watching him, I've seen everything he's been through, the abuse he's been subjected to by his so-called childhood friend, the inhuman treatment he is subjected to and the daily beatings he receives at school of which I know very well that you being his mother already knew but did nothing to help him" − Adaline's words had a lot of weight and anger that were personally directed to Izuku's mother who only kept silent without denying the accusations the little girl was throwing in his face, since for Inko it would be very hypocritical if he tried to deny everything she already knew and had now confirmed to him.
-"N-No, Mom, she's wrong, I...!" − Once again the boy was forced to keep silent when the girl cut him off from his poor attempt to distort the truth, the look Adaline was giving him was a silent threat that she was willing to carry out and that would not allow her to continue hiding all the shit she has endured until now.
-"Oh, you really think that's it, wake up and realize that this attitude of yours is going to end up killing your mother Izuku... Although you're certainly already doing it, why don't you tell your son about your illness?" − That revelation took the boy's mother by surprise as she became completely pale, there was no way for anyone to know about her illness except her doctor as she had decided to keep quiet to avoid unnecessary suffering for her son before time but now that didn't matter anymore, especially because of the look she was getting from him that now made her hate herself.
-"What disease, what are you talking about, my mom didn't..." − now it had been her mother's turn to interrupt him, she could see in his eyes the fear, worry and denial of Adaline's words and although she was tempted to hate this girl, being or creature that had exposed her she simply couldn't do it because in her eyes she only saw a child... one that in her limited understanding was looking for something in them.
-"What she says is true... I am dying Izuku, I have kept silent so as not to worry you since I did not want you to blame yourself every day for my illness... but now it does not matter" − the boy said nothing and hugged his mother while begging her forgiveness through tears for having been part of the problem that led her to this situation, the mother comforted her son by saying that there was nothing to forgive and that none of it was his fault, the interaction that mother and son got ended up bothering the girl who did not hesitate to interrupt them to put more salt in the wound with what she still had to say.
-"Yeah well, you two are definitely selfish hypocrites for keeping your problems to yourselves, not to mention that your son came close to killing himself today thanks to the ever eloquent words of the shitty bastard who is the son of your "best friend" and we can't forget the words of the All-Might hypocrite who destroyed your dream and before you say anything I'll let you in on a secret about Mr. "peace sign", He was like you Izuku but was lucky enough to get a quirk" − before Izuku's overprotective mother gave him the lecture of his life the boy was quick to ask more about the last thing Adaline had said that he found hard to believe, there was no way his childhood hero was quirk like him.
-"But that's impossible, no one can give a quirk to others, it's completely impossible and...!, but if it's true then... then he knew how I felt when I asked him and he still didn't care to tell me that..." − the boy had finally broken with that revelation about his hero, he wanted to believe that it wasn't true but Adaline's words so far only spoke truth after truth and to refuse to believe it would be to remain blind to the truth no matter how painful it was, his mother held him tightly without any intention of letting go while he brought out all his pain in tears.
-"Let it out Izuku... let all the bad stuff flow out" − said the sweet voice of his mother who seemed more determined to support her son, maybe his time is getting short and she can't see him succeed... but she would be a fool not to support him now in tying up the loose ends he has dealt with alone while she still has the strength to do so, It was then when both felt a small pair of arms that wrapped both of them surprisingly, Adaline had joined them and from her body emanated an energy that radiated tranquility and peace that comforted them little by little.
-"Okay let's calm down and figure this out step by step, first of all let's heal your mother and then let's get all those dark ideas out of your head so you can think clearly and finally I'll tell you the plan I have to make you a better hero, I'll help you all the way through and before you bring up your lack of quirk at least remember you have an omnipotent being in your corner to accomplish that and more".
The little girl's words were like a lighthouse of hope in all the darkness that this little family had been in until now, with something as simple as a hug Adaline's body was illuminated with a golden light that enveloped Inko's body giving her the same feeling of peace and tranquility. Even she would dare to say that the same light filled her with strength and a strong desire to protect what was most precious to her, she could feel how her doubts and fears were slowly disappearing as if they had never been there and by the time the girl was finished she felt as if she were someone else.
-"I have finished, you can go to your doctor to confirm what I am saying to get rid of doubts, now as for you Izuku..." − before she could do the same with him, Izuku hugged her while thanking him for his action, this took the girl by surprise who was now experiencing a strange feeling in her chest that far from being uncomfortable felt warm and pleasant.
-"Thank you for saving my mom I... I don't know what to say or what to do to repay you!" − The boy kept saying now with a look full of determination before the golden light enveloped him and he experimented the same sensations as his mother.
-"How about becoming the best hero ever?, for now I'm done with what took priority so now get ready to go out again" − said Adaline as she walked to the front door to wait for him, this confused the little family who didn't understand what she was going to do next.
-"Going out, are you going to train me right now?" − Asked Izuko with some emotion and nervousness that this was the reason for her request.
-"None of that, you still lack something important to be the best hero and no, it's not a quirk, tell me Izuku... What makes a hero what he is?" − the question had certainly taken him by surprise although it was not the first time he had answered it but... would it mean something more to her or would his usual answer be enough?
-"It's the good intentions and the desire to help and protect what makes a hero what he is no matter what the adversity... that's what I believed in" − the boy answered shyly thinking that perhaps his answer would be wrong until he saw her smiling happily.
-"Very true and you are not wrong about that, but there is also another important factor with which you can always come out victorious... mates, a team of heroes has a higher success rate at the moment of going into action than a lone hero waiting for reinforcements and that is what we are going to look for, your first mate is waiting for us so let's go!".
Adaline's words stoked the fire in Izuku's heart who said goodbye to her mother while telling her that they would be back soon, Inko nodded as he sighed to see his son return to his old self as he took his first steps to fulfill his dream with the help of someone who not only claimed to be someone hard to believe but also believed in his son.
