Anger had always been something Adaline found curious in her creations, a feeling, an impulse, a flaw or simply a state she failed to identify with... or at least that's how she used to think of it at the time, after all she was still learning through her interactions in the worlds she had so far created, most of them with their own codes of conduct and ethics that to more than one might seem inadequate or simply immoral, there was also the fact that not all her "projects" shared the same concept of justice, which had led in the past to experience situations that in this world would be considered inhuman.
She still remembered how one of her projects of which she felt really proud proved to be a complete failure... she had given them everything so that their civilization would prosper and reach the top and so they could share their knowledge with others creating a perfect utopia, but everything had gone to shit when they began to believe themselves superior under the argument that they were the chosen people and blessed by their creator, even belittling the rest of their fellow human beings whom they considered inferior.
All the knowledge that Adaline had given them was used to spread war, destruction, hunger, misery and death wherever they went under the argument that everyone should submit to the designs of the chosen people and their self-appointed emperor, a despicable and disgusting individual full of greed and ambition who openly proclaimed to be a divine envoy by the creator himself as his messenger and the very voice of his will.
Adaline remembered with some malice the day she had enough and dared to intervene personally, her arrival was taken as the confirmation that they really were the chosen ones indulging in a frenzy of decadence that soon gave way to screams and fear when she completely eliminated all traces of life from the planet, maybe it was not her best decision but back then she had a different way of thinking and if she had the chance again she would have possibly found another less "definitive" solution to solve the problem.
Now that brought her back to her present and the situation she was facing together with her new protégés, the sensation of danger that the little girl had felt until recently in the alley had made her desire to purge the planet completely, Adaline for the second time in her life was experiencing anger and it was not for less after discovering the cause that originated the sensation in the first place, the apartment building where she had been recently was now in ruins due to a negligent hero, who in his eagerness to show off for the cameras had created so much unnecessary collateral damage that the whole place was the spitting image of a war zone.
Izuku could not believe what had happened and was currently blaming himself for something to which the boy was completely oblivious, he was desperate and hurt not knowing anything about his mother who had been taken to the hospital to receive immediate attention, Adaline stayed close to him at all times during the transfer to the hospital while telling him that everything would be fine, but to her bad luck Himiko seemed to have chosen a bad moment to end up copying the boy's behavior and kept apologizing as well, after letting out a long sigh she proceeded to try to calm the two teenagers down to talk to them about him because they should not worry at all, after a long wait that seemed like an eternity the doctor on duty appeared before them to bring them news about Inko's condition.
-"Good evening, are you the relatives of patient Inko Midoriya?" − Asked the doctor who possessed a mutant quirk that gave him the appearance of an owl, Adaline could tell how nervous and stressed Izuku was about what they could tell them although she couldn't blame him for being like that.
-"Yes doctor, is there...is there anything you can tell us about his current condition?" − Asked the boy in an almost pleading tone to know his mother's current state.
-"Actually there is not much to say, she was not injured and only experienced a panic attack given the circumstances... in truth it was a real miracle that she came out of that disaster unharmed, in a few minutes we will be discharging her so she can leave although I would recommend you to keep her stress to a mínimum" − No sooner had the doctor left after talking to them when Izuku turned to Adaline to try to find an answer to what happened only to find her smiling shamelessly puzzling him completely.
- "Did you really think I wouldn't do anything to protect them?" − Asked the little girl smiling somewhat mischievously as she placed her fists on her waist taking a somewhat pretentious pose though that would only upset the boy, especially to find out what she had actually done though that might be too obvious.
- "H-how?! Is this...is this...is this...?!" − Izuku's mind had literally collapsed looking for a logical answer without much success, all he knew was that his mother had somehow survived a disaster that must have killed her.
-"A girl I knew a long time ago... she was very careless although she also had the desire to help others and do the right thing, so I gave her a little protection to keep her safe... she called it "the blessing of the goddess" and boy did it cause a stir because of it" − Commented Adaline with some nostalgia in her voice, as if that memory hid a whole unique story that should be heard although Izuku seemed to understand it at first time wishing to ask about that topic later.
-"So my mom... she..." − The boy tried to ask only to be cut off from his peroration by the little girl.
-"To give you the short version... yes, even you and Himiko one-san also have it and before you question me the answer is no, if I were to give this protection to everyone imagine the chaos I could cause with it or the destruction they could do if they decide to abuse that gift" − The girl's words made the teenager think, while it would be a gift that could help a lot so would be also the amount of damage that could be caused and even more.
Himiko, who had kept herself aside, was surprised to hear that now she had a kind of protection, the same that had been given to her by a girl who also for what little she was understanding proclaimed to be a divinity, all this was in her opinion a real madness hard to believe... or was it? with some fear she decided to get at least an answer so as not to end up like the boy... although she would not deny that he looked cute acting that way.
-"S-Sorry but... Why me, why did you choose me?" − Asked the blonde girl, her face was full of confusion to something that was far from her comprehension, even Izuku could tell that the girl looked fearful but Adaline took her hand letting some of her energy flow, this started to calm Himiko who soon felt in complete peace.
-"We will talk about this when we are at home, I don't feel comfortable talking about subjects that the human intellect will hardly understand... or about the impertinent onlookers who think I will do something for them".
After saying this a familiar voice called the attention of the group to find a nurse carrying Inko in a wheelchair despite the protests of the chubby mother, Adaline did not hesitate to resume her role as a little girl approaching her surprising the teenagers by such a rapid change in her personality, this made Izuku doubt about her "half sister" as to her maturity but decided that she would address it later when they were talking about this "blessing" she had given them.
After finishing with the release formalities the small group left the hospital where a huge vehicle with military features was already waiting for them, as soon as Adaline got in front a figure dressed in armor stepped down from the co-pilot door giving a formal salute while opening the passenger door so they could board, all this under the watchful eyes of the few curious people still around the area who were now wondering who they would be and how important they were to use a vehicle like that of which they wouldn't last that was heavily armed.
After the vehicle was started the occupants kept thinking about the destination they were being taken to, mainly the Midoriyas after the loss of the apartment building and in Himiko's case things were somewhat different. Since she had been thrown into the street for the attempted assault on one of her classmates in one of her fits due to her withdrawal, for the blonde girl whatever the girl had done to her head and mind she would be completely grateful for it, from this point Himiko didn't know what she would do because the thought of going back home where her problem only grew to her current situation was not very encouraging, not to mention that her parents still held a certain fear and repulsion for her quirk and what came with it which hurt the girl now that her mind was finally clear of her obsession for blood.
-"You shouldn't worry so much about it Himiko one-San, although if you wish it could make them see their mistakes and be more aware of the damage they did to you, maybe make up for some lost time" − Adaline commented suddenly while she kept an eye on the outside through the window calling the attention of her companions.
-"I... I don't know, I would really like to go back home but... I don't feel ready for it and I don't want them to carry more guilt" − Mentioned the blonde girl while she kept her head down because of her memories, however Inko Midoriya was starting to get annoyed by the way those parents would have treated such a sweet girl.
-"Guilt... how ambiguous is that word in this situation or any other, but I will respect your wishes Himiko-Onesan... although I could also talk to them and help them with their burden, not all parents are cruel" − Answered the little girl sketching a sincere smile that supported her words.
-"Miss Adaline, the control group has already finished with the investigations and they already notified the hero's public safety commission about the results of the attack, they want an urgent meeting with you" − Interrupted the escort at that moment, by this point the passengers of the vehicle reacted about the conversation they had had but Adaline didn't seem to care and the escort much less.
-"I see, how did the meeting with the prime minister go?" − Asked the little girl in a bored tone drawing the attention of the two teenagers and Inko herself.
-"Very favorable miss, we have a head start on the commission and your mother has started the corresponding procedures, it is almost safe to say that we will be operating without restrictions in a few hours, not to mention that your mother is preparing something special to hit the hero commission for their ineptitude" − The tone of voice of the escort did not hide at all that he was enjoying the news he was transmitting, almost as if it was something he had been waiting for.
-"Mother always gets too excited, is the investigation into Aldera Junior High making any headway?" − The very mention of his school made Izuku turn his attention to Adaline who seemed to be waiting for the questions he would have for her.
- "Investigation?, But... At what point...?" − The boy remembered very well her words when she talked about initiating measures against the school, but learning that she had already started it only made him think about what else she was hiding from him.
- "Surprised Oni-chan?" − Asked the little girl without looking guilty about it, it was more like she was enjoying the moment.
-"A lot actually…" − Was the short answer the boy could give, he was experiencing mixed emotions about his school, especially that someone finally did something to stop the abuse.
-"Dismissed, while I should have told you about this when we were at your house I didn't consider it pertinent, but since things are going according to plan I can tell you that Aldera's time as a school has come to an end, that includes their "star" students who thought they were untouchable and superior... it will be fun to see the face they make" − The girl's words did little to reassure the boy, since it seemed it was more a kind of personal revenge than a help in itself, it almost felt as if she was his little half-sister out for blood on his behalf.
- "Y-You're not taking this too personally?" − The boy merely asked fearing the possible response he might receive next.
-"All actions have consequences as I had already told you, to excuse those actions when they have affected others in their integrity is to tell them in a direct way that they must live with it, now I ask you, could you tell Keiko Matsuda to her face that she must live with her suffering and forgive her attackers so that they can be the "heroes" of tomorrow?" − The change in the girl's attitude was something Izuku would never quite understand, especially her stance that gave no room for redemption or forgiveness since no matter what argument he could tell her, she would simply tear him down with her own.
-"It's not fair... you're not giving me a chance to respond" − The boy commented, knowing he couldn't win the argument.
- "Respond me or just justify his actions?, I can't deny your ideals although that doesn't mean you should blind yourself to them, being a hero is more than just doing good and helping people or trying to imitate a hypocrite who touts at every opportunity that anyone can be one when in reality he doesn't believe it himself, from my perspective anyone can be a hero with the smallest action…".
Adaline's words finally had an effect on the boy who was holding back tears, Himiko also seemed to be thinking about what was said hoping to find a single memory that could vindicate her for her past actions, even Inko herself looked distant and thoughtful at the words of the girl who was distant returning her attention back to the window of the vehicle watching the buildings go by.
The silence lasted again for a couple of minutes until Himiko cleared her throat to get the attention of everyone in the car, the poor girl started to get nervous now that she was again the center of attention making her wish she had some of that uninhibited personality that until recently she had maintained until Adaline took charge of it.
- "Is there a problem Toga-San?" − Asked the little girl in complete calm waiting for what the older girl could tell her.
-"N-No, I just... I don't want to sound like an interested person but... Where exactly are we going?" − The girl's question finally clicked in the family of two who until this moment had not wondered where Adaline was taking them, although at some point she told them that she would take care of them she never mentioned where exactly she would take them.
-"True, I also wanted to ask about it but with what happened and the hospital... nothing this day would have prepared me for all this" − Answered the chubby mother, many things were on her mind and after what she experienced a little while ago was certainly the straw that broke the camel's back of her sanity, she just wanted to rest in the company of her son and not think about everything she knew now and just maybe drink a little sake to relax.
-"I don't doubt it Inko-San, to answer your question we are going to the villas of Musutafu forest, the privacy that this place offers is perfect for me and for you after what happened today".
The news ended up surprising Adaline's guests who knew that location very well, especially because of the commercials of the real estate office that was in charge of those complexes considered luxury and of enormous capital gain, with the passing of the minutes the huge vehicle was arriving at the entrance of the wooded area where the deviation to the residential area could be glimpsed, Just crossing the access point was like entering a world completely different from the suburbs, Izuku and Himiko did not lose detail of everything they saw before them as well as Inko because of the beautiful view and the surroundings, the small group remained absorbed until the vehicle took a detour that led them down a separate road.
After a journey of almost twenty minutes on a lonely road, surrounded only by the beautiful view of the forest and a fence of bushes the vehicle finally reached its destination, after passing through a huge steel gate the vehicle stopped a few meters from the main entrance to let their passengers out and admire the new view in front of them, The whole place seemed to have been designed to order since the garden seemed to have a fantasy theme because of the huge variety of exotic plants and flowers, even the house exploited all that to perfection which surprised Adaline's guests who were trying to assimilate everything, in the case of the Midoriyas if they did not know what the girl was in reality they would be completely convinced that she would have a strong obsession with video games and fantasy stories.
-"Welcome to our temporary home, as soon as the construction of the institute begins so will the construction of the residential area so this location will no longer be necessary, although I could keep it, the view is beautiful here" − Commented the little girl while smiling happily, the front door of the house opened to reveal two very unusual people or at least one of them since the other was a maid.
-"Welcome back Lady Adaline, we are glad you are back safely" − Mentioned the maid as she bowed slightly, this only made the girl roll her eyes possibly tired of that kind of helpful attitude, something not like her given her unique "status".
-"Irena please, I've already told you that I don't like this kind of treatment, it's uncomfortable, annoying and I appreciate you too much to see you do that" − Replied the little girl trying to make her point clear while pouting adorably... until the other person literally took her in a tight hug at an incredible speed while her face was making a huge smile.
-"Ada-chan, you're bad for leaving me behind and not letting me come with you!" − Mentioned the other person in a somewhat comical way, unlike the maid this was a woman apparently in her twenties, she was wearing very casual clothes and had the appearance of a rough woman... or at least she would be if it wasn't for the way she was behaving at that moment.
-"Stop treating me like a stuffed animal Rain, I'm too old to be treated this way!" − The little girl's pouting did little to prove her point, however the funny moment was cut short by Inko who wanted to know what they would do next.
-"I'm sorry interrupting Adaline-chan but..." − The chubby mother had to cut her words as soon as she gained Rain's attention who stared at her analyzing her and then switched to the two teenagers, who felt shivers because of the intensity of her gaze.
-"Mmm... So this is your family Ada-chan, I like them" − Commented the woman while she changed her serious countenance to a more cheerful one, definitely being in this place would be quite an experience.
-"Can we leave this for later, several things happened during my tour and I would like to rest a little bit before bringing you up to date with everything" − After saying this the woman put her back on the floor while the maid told her that she would prepare something to take them to the main hall, saying this Rain escorted the group without moving too far from the little girl, something that Inko liked since she acted very much like a big big sister.
The interior of the huge house surprised the small group even more since it didn't contain anything ostentatious, the decorations, furniture and other objects were mostly too plain and simple, Izuku had come to think that maybe he would see unique and very expensive objects as well as some items from really "far away" places from what little Adaline had told him and his mother so far, even Himiko looked somewhat disappointed which was picked up by the little girl who only snorted immediately understanding what was going on.
-"If you took into account that if I had the things you imagined it would be quite problematic if someone came to steal them right, because we are not talking about simple things or decoration, imagine this place full of things that could eliminate a city without blinking" − Commented Adaline who could not help smiling tiredly when saying this, unfortunately this only ended up scaring her guests who were trying to think about what dangerous things Adaline could have.
-"Don't worry, all the dangerous objects and relics are in a safe place and even if they could get to them I doubt they could get out of the vault" − Rain commented with total pride, this made Izuku think about the type of vault and how it worked so she could be so calm, but again, logic did not apply here.
-"Please don't overwhelm them with more unnecessary information, for now let's make ourselves comfortable, eat something and later I will be answering all your questions and Rain, if someone for some incredible reason would get to trespass the security just attend them as a guest" − This comment surprised everyone even the woman but she did not object to the order, she simply nodded and then retired once she took them to the designated room.
The room was a modest fully furnished studio overlooking a small interior garden, as soon as they took a seat Izuku began to bombard the girl with questions in search of answers, Adaline had already seen this behavior coming from the boy so she only sighed heavily accepting that this would take a while, Irena arrived shortly after with dinner and after a short rest more than deserved. Adaline took the opportunity to show her guests their rooms, but not before telling Izuku that they would resume talking about their training the next day.

The night passed in complete calm and the rest helped to dissipate a little the events lived during yesterday afternoon, Adaline was up very early since she didn't need to sleep although the sensation of dreaming was something that attracted her a lot, Himiko and the Midoriyas woke up around seven in the morning when Irena went to their rooms to take them to the dining room, everything was going normally until the escort of the little one suddenly burst in to inform that they had caught an invader.
Izuku started to get nervous as did his mother and Himiko but Adaline reassured them as she reminded them who they were with, after calming the boy's mother the little girl followed her escorts to where they had contained the person who had been foolish enough to try to sneak in, being followed by Izuku while Himiko had stayed with her mother to keep her calm and collected.
-"There was no need for you to come Izu-kun, it's not the first time I have to deal with situations like this" − Commented the little girl who was looking bored.
-"I don't think you should take this so lightly, I mean, I know you can practically cope with this kind of situations but still..." − Although the teenager openly showed his concern for the girl who was actually a divine being, he also tried to avoid being too obvious so as not to bother her, something that Adaline had already foreseen and that in a way she found adorable on his part.
-"I appreciate the gesture Izu-kun, but believe me when I say that this is routine in my life since I took this identity, maybe I'm just a lost camper or a crazy girl looking for sponsorship from the Haussenberg conglomerate, you'd be surprised how many support course students have tried it" − Said the little girl while laughing remembering how imaginative they had been to contact her or her "mother" in the past.
-"I guess it would be easier to have a chance if they talked to you" − Commented the teenager thinking about how Adaline would react to situations like this or how she would solve them.
-"Frankly, I only offer them an internship and that seems to solve the problem, of course, there are some who are more insistent although they try themselves so that I can reconsider some advanced decision, it is an equitable agreement if you think about it" − After hearing this the boy thought about how wonderful it was that Adaline gave opportunities to teenagers with dreams and aspirations unlike others who wouldn't mind breaking that.
-"Ady-chan!, I know you told me to be kind and attentive but I think we have a special case here" − Rain had left one of the rooms to see us arrive when she went ahead to update the girl, she did not fully understand what she was talking about so she entered the room with curiosity to investigate.
-"Okay, please tell me who you are and what is your business with me Onesan" − Commented the little girl to a girl who was sitting at a small table eating breakfast as if she had not eaten in days, she began to choke as soon as she heard his voice and after hitting her chest to pass the bite she got up from her chair completely excited to see her face to face.
-"Hello little girl, my name is Mei Hatsume prodigy inventor and next president of Hatsume Industries (in the future) and I am here to offer you the best deal of your life for the Haussenberg family!" − The girl's excitement certainly shocked Izuku quin was about to ask her a question when Adaline stopped him, her now smiling face showed her eyes completely shining for some strange reason.
-"Hello Mei One-san, please tell me everything you want to tell me, I'm sure my mom will be happy to hear what you have to offer...".

After so long I've finally finished the chapter, while there isn't much action it does show a bit more of my character that will be relevant for later on as well as some thoughts from Izuku about his interaction with his "sister" and Inko's near death, we also introduce our green boy's second partner who will influence a lot during his training as well as with Himiko, will we see a new partner appear in the next one?, anything is possible XD, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.
