100,000 years ago… Before the Mushroom and Hyrule Kingdoms were formed. Before the Wood Realm, Corneria, and Kongo Jungle… There were multiple islands in the sky. They housed the now residents of Hyrule, Hylians. Hylains would traverse these islands with giant flying birds known as Loftwings. In the sky, there was a city known as Skyloft. This was a city with houses, a bazaar, the knight academy and most importantly, a giant statue of the Goddess Hylia and the God Arceus. The Hylians would pray everyday to their goddess Hylia, praying that when in their hour of need, a hero would reveal themselves amongst them and save them from the darkness. The Hero of the Sky.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

ACT I

It is every young mans dream in Skyloft to join the Knight Academy and become a Knight. Today was the big day. The graduation ceremony, and one knight was asleep in his bed in the Knight's Quarters. Suddenly, a blue Loftwing stuck its beak through the window and spat a letter out on the knight's head. The knight woke up abruptly and opened the letter. It read:

Hey sleepy head!

I can't believe you picked today of all days to sleep in! It's your graduation day!
We promised to meet at the statue of the goddess before the big event, remember?
Who am I kidding? Your memory has always been… well, not the best!

Anyway, you better not stand me up, Link!

Yours,

Zelda

Link jumped out of bed "Oh man!" He said outloud. "I have to meet with Zelda before the graduation event!" He rushed out of his cabin, put his Skyloft Tunic on and rushed outside. He looked over the vast city. He saw Beetles Airshop flying through the sky, the bazaar in the center of town and looked up the giant staircase to the right of the Knight Academy and saw the statue of the Goddess Hylia. "This view never gets old." Link said. He started running up the stairs to the statue. He made it to the top and saw her. Her gold hair glistened in the light and her pink dress matched her blue sailcloth around her shoulders perfectly.

Skyloft

She was playing a song and singing. "Hail to her grace, Our great goddess, March forward, Restore this world's order.." She turned around and saw Link and smiled. Link couldn't help but grin after hearing her voice. She walked towards him. "You're finally awake! I was beginning to think you stood me up!" She said.

"Me? Stand you up? I could never do that, Zelda." Link said.

"Oh please." She replied. "Anyway, you have to get ready for the big race! Today is the day you finally become a knight!" She said.

"Yeah… It's pretty daunting…" Link said. "But I'm ready!"

"Oh really?" Zelda replied. "Have you really been practicing every day?"

Link started scratching his head. "Well I… uhhh…" Zelda frowned.

"Link, how are you going to become a knight if you haven't practiced? Groose and his lackeys practice all day! I would hate it if they beat you in this race—" She was cut off by a tall old man in robes walking up to them.

"My apologies, dear." The man said to Zelda. "The race is going to begin soon, Link! I'd get ready if I were you."

"Thank you father," Zelda said to the man.

"Thanks, headmaster Gaepora. I'll head over now." Link said.

Link and Zelda walked over by the drop off point near the lighthouse right past the center bazaar. She was talking his ear off about how he hasn't been practicing lately. Link yawned and then looked in front of him. A big looming shadow with a spike on his head looked down on him. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Linkey…" The man said.

"Hi… Groose…" Link replied, annoyed.

"What, are you not psyched to see me kick your ass in this race?" Groose said. "You did hear what the winner gets if they win, right?" Groose started to blush. "They get to spend time alone with Zelda on top of the goddess statue…" He smiled.

"And they get to become a knight…?" Link replied.

"Forget that! I know that you and Zelda have been friends since you were children and I've seen how she always looks at you, but now it's Groose's turn to take over!" Groose said excitedly. "You had your fun with her, Link, now its time for the Grooseinator!"

"Yeah… I'm sure she'll love being up there with your awful hair flapping about the wind…" Link replied.

Groose stood up tall and pointed to his hair. "You lay off my do right now, or I'll flatten you. Everyone knows I've got the slickest pompadour in town." Link rolled his eyes. Groose stopped pointing at his head and went back to looking at Link. "Anyway, if you're looking to come in first, you've joined the Knight Academy with the wrong guy… Work hard and wish with all your heart. You might even come in second… And then, I'll be the one Zelda notices…"

"What was that, Groose?" Zelda said angrily from behind. Groose turned around shocked and smiled at the sight of her. "Link is going to do just fine! I'm tired of you always picking on him! Sure he's lazy, out of practice, and kind of… slowish…"

"Hey!" Link said.

"But he is going to kick your butt!" She said pointing at him.

Groose barely heard a word she said. He was infatuated beyond belief. "Why yes, Zelda…" He said in a daze. "I would love to…"

"URGHH!" She groaned. "Come on, Link," She said as she grabbed his hand and walked away with him.

Groose's infatuation immediately broke as he saw that. "I'm going to crush that little twig…" He said under his breath as he saw them walk away.

"Listen up!" Zelda said to Link. "I would hate to have to go with him to the goddess statue. You have to win! Remember to whistle as soon as you jump off of the drop off point. Your loftwing will fly towards yo—"

"I know what to do." Link said. "Trust me."

Zelda looked down. "And be careful, please."

Link smiled and walked towards the starting line of the race. Next to him was Groose and his lackeys Cawlin and Stritch. "Alright! Today is the day that all of you will race to become a Knight! The trial is the following!" Gaepora said. "You will all race after my loftwing to retrieve this statue of the Triforce attached to its leg!" He said.

Link looked at his hand. "That's the same mark on my hand…" He thought to himself. He shook himself back to reality and listened to the headmaster.

"The race will begin in five… four… three…" The racers all readied themselves. "Two… one… GO!" Link, Groose, Cawlin, and Stritch all jumped off of the drop off point. They all whistled loudly at the same time and all of their loftwings flew under them allowing them to mount up.

"Goodluck, Linkey…" Groose teased as he raced ahead. Cawlin and Stritch stood behind to try and knock Link off his Loftwing. Link struggled to stay on as Groose raced towards Gaepora's Loftwing. Gaepora's Loftwing screeched at the top of its lungs. Groose reached his hand out to grab the figure. "I have you now…" He started to imagine the time he would get to spend with Zelda on top of the goddess statue. He smiled and reached as far as he could, until the Loftwing let out a screech and nosedived below him. "What the…" Groose said. He motioned for his Loftwing to follow it.

Cawlin and Stritch continued to try to push Link off of his Loftwing. "Stop!" Link said to them. They both started laughing. They flew far to opposite ends of each other and planned on crashing into Link on both sides. Link looked forward and saw Gaepora's Loftwing nosedive. He motioned for his to do the same as Cawlin and Stritch flew at him fullspeed. He dodged them, leading them to ram into each other.

Zelda and Gaepora watched on as they fought for the figure. "Father… What if Groose wins?" She asked in a scared manner.

"Don't worry Zelda." Gaepora said. "Link should be able to do this."

Link continued flying through the Sky and flew right next to Groose. Groose looked at him. "What the!? How did you get here!? I thought those two idiots would've had you busy!" Groose said in an angry manner.

"Guess your lackeys aren't as reliable as you think." Link said. "Here's the thing about us "losers" as you call us… We know how to work on our own… or maybe losers ONLY know how to work with others!" Link shook his head as he realized how terrible he was with comebacks. They both flew side by side with Gaepora's Loftwing right in front of them.

Groose somehow got enraged. "I'll show you who a loser is!" He flew his Loftwing to the side and was about to bash into Link full speed. Link smiled as he saw this coming.

"Crimson! Dive!" Link commanded to his Loftwing. Crimson dove down just as Groose was about to ram into him, but Groose knew this was going to happen. Groose told his bird to fly right after Link. He prepared another attack. Groose started flying at Link full speed and barely grazed Crimson. Link, in a quick motion, grabbed Groose's hand and shoved him off of his bird. Groose screamed as he began falling towards the clouds. His Loftwing followed him. "Yeah. You take a minute." Link said. He flew forward and came into contact with Gaepora's Loftwing. He reached out, and grabbed the statue.

Link flew back to the drop off point. He had the statue around his fingers on a ring. Crimson landed and Link got off of him. "And the winner is, Link!" Gaepora said as he and Zelda ran towards Link in a smile. Cawlin and Stritch landed right behind Link while Groose's Loftwing carried Groose by the talons. Groose had his arms folded and angrily looked on.

Zelda wrapped her arms around Link and smiled. "I knew you could do it! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" She said. Link blushed as he tried to play it cool, but he couldn't help it. He hugged Zelda back right away.

Some time later, the two of them walked up to the giant Goddess Statue. They stood on the hands of the praying goddess. "Wow…" Link said, looking over all of Skyloft. He then looked at her. "It's so beautiful…" She smiled.

"You know, they say that when you're up here, you're as close to the goddess as you can possibly be…" Zelda said as Link looked up to the sky. "Now that you're here… I would like to give you this…" She took off the sailcloth on her shoulders and gave it to Link.

Link grabbed in embarrassingly. "Your sailcloth? But your mother made it for you!" He said.

"I know… And that's why you need to take care of it!" She said. She got closer to Link. "I have to tell you, Link… If I had to pick anyone in the world to be up here with me… I would pick you." She got closer and closer to him. Link started to blush as her face was about three inches from his. "Now… Time for you to learn how to use the sailcloth properly!"

Link gave her a confused look. "What? But I thought—"

"Go forth, brave Knight! And glide down to Skyloft!" Zelda said as she turned Link around and pushed him off of the Goddess Statue.

"ZELDAAAA!" Link screamed. He held Zelda's sail cloth above his head like a hang glider and was immediately carried by the wind. "What the… I'm flying! Look! I'm flying!" He said excitedly. Zelda smiled as she watched him and immediately began making her way down the Goddess Statue.

Link landed right in the middle of Skyloft. Zelda ran up to him. "Now, Link, why don't we go for a ride on our Loftwings?" She said.

"Yeah… I'd like that!" Link replied. The two of them set off to the drop off.

Link and Zelda were flying through the skies of Skyloft. Link was on Crimson while Zelda was on her Loftwing, Azul. Link looked at Zelda as she smiled looking at all the wonders of the world. "I must say, its more fun to fly with people you care about." Link said. "Flying against Groose and his boys SUCKED!"

Zelda looked over at him. "I'm sorry, did you just say you care about me?" She said in a teasing way.

Link began to blush. "Umm, well no— I just… Yeah…"

Zelda laughed. "I care about you too, stupid." The two of them smiled at each other. Link felt something in his heart at this moment. It was a feeling he never felt with anyone before… Could it have been… love?

All of a sudden, a Tornado seemed to spawn out of nowhere in front of them. Azul and Crimson both backed out of the way, but it was no use. The tornado was sucking Azul in. He was struggling and struggling but couldn't fly out of it. Zelda looked up at Link. "Link! Help!" She cried out.

Link looked and saw the woman he spent his childhood with getting sucked in by the tornado. "Hold on, Zelda! I'm coming!" He said as he commanded Crimson to fly towards her. He was able to get close enough to grab her hand. Azul was sucked down by the force of the Tornado. Crimson started flying out of the Tornado. He flapped his wings but it seemed to do nothing. Link tried pulling Zelda onto Crimson, but was struggling. He felt his grip slip. "No…" He muttered to himself.

"Link… I" She was interrupted. Zelda looked him in the eyes as her hand slipped from his. She had fear and sadness in her face as she fell towards the clouds.

"GO GO GO!" Link commanded Crimson. The two of them began to fly towards Zelda until all of a sudden, a White humanoid being holding a sword in a cape flew in front of them. His hair covered one of his eyes. "What the hell?" Link said. He didn't let it distract him from his mission. He commanded Crimson to go forward. The white being stopped Crimson in it's tracks. He readied his sword and slashed Crimson throwing Link in the opposite direction of the Tornado, knocking him out cold.

ACT II

"Help me… Link…" There was darkness. "I am trapped by the Imprisoned…" The voice got louder. "You must defeat Demise…" The voice grew louder and louder. "You must wake up… WAKE UP… WAKE UP!"

Link gasped as he woke up in his bed at the Knight Academy. He was surrounded by Gaepora, Groose, Cawlin, and Stritch. "Zelda…" He said. "Where is she?"

Gaepora looked down. "Settle down, son… We were going to ask you the same thing…" Link looked at the Sail cloth on the dresser next to his bed. He started crying. Gaepora turned to Groose and his men. "I think it's best if you guys leave us alone." Groose nodded and told his men to follow him. "Link… Tell me what happened." Link used the cloth to dry his tears and began to explain everything to Gaepora.

"I see…" He said. "Why did this have to happen now…?" Gaepora put his hands in his head. Link looked at him and wondered what he meant. "Link… Zelda is not just some normal child. She bears the same mark on her hand as you do..." Link looked at his hand and saw the Triforce on it.

"What? What do these marks mean, Gaepora?" Link asked.

"The Mark of Courage and the Mark of Wisdom… You have the Mark of Courage while my daughter carries the latter." Gaepora explained. "It is said that when all three beings that hold the Triforce are united, they can summon the goddess Hylia to make a wish…" Gaepora took a glass of water and continued. "That person who attacked you… That white demon… He must be after her power… He could use that wish to rule everything…" Link looked down. "We are going to send a rescue squad to save my daughter. For now, you rest up here in your bed… I'm glad you're safe." Gaepora said as he walked out of the room. Link lied down on his bed again looking at his hand. He closed his eyes.

"Hero… Awaken…" He heard a voice and woke up. Link sat in his bed and saw a light exit out of his room. He opened the door and saw a blue glowing ball floating near the exit of the Knight academy.

"What? Who's there?" Link said. The ball flew out of the academy. "Wait!" Link called out. He ran after it. The ball led him through the silent town of Skyloft. Everyone was inside due to it being night time. It led him up the stairs to where the Goddess Statue was. The ball stopped and transformed into a woman. She had blue skin and wore a purple and blue cloak. "Who… who are you?" Link said trying to catch his breath.

"Follow…" The woman said. She shot some aura out of her hands and opened a side of the statue, revealing a doorway into the Goddess Statue. "You must go in…" She said.

Link was sketched out, but he went inside of the statue. Inside, he saw it. The Sword & Shield that was carried down through generations and told through many different stories: The Master Sword and The Hylian Shield. "What…? What do you want me to do?"

"Pull." The girl said.

Link walked up to the pedestal where the Master Sword was lunged in. He walked up to it and grabbed it with both hands. He gave it almost no effort, and was able to pull the Master Sword out from the Pedestal. He waved it around to get a feel for it. It was light enough for him to also carry the Hylian shield in the other hand. He walked over to the Hylian Shield and picked it up.

"Hello… Master." The girl said. Link looked puzzled. "I am Fi… Servant of the Goddess Hylia. I was told to look for the boy who bears the mark of the Goddess…"

"Hello, Fi… I'm Link." He said. "Why did you come to me now?"

"The holder of the Triforce of Courage was taken… The Demon Lord Girahim plans to take her Triforce to resurrect his master, the Demon King…" Fi said. "Only that who holds the Blade of Evil's Bane… The Master Sword… Can defeat him…"

Suddenly, Link and Fi heard footsteps. Link turned around and saw Gaepora facing him. "Who would've known… You're the chosen one, Link."

"I don't want to be." Link replied.

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice…" Gaepora said. "I heard everything that Fi told you… Girahim… He has my daughter… Is she alive…?" He asked Fi.

"I am detecting signs of her life still in tact." Fi said.

"So you're saying that I need to save Zelda to save the world?" Link said.

"That is precisely it, master." Fi said.

"Then let's get to work." Link replied.

Gaepora let out a smile and then started laughing in relief. He wiped away his tear. "I always knew this day would come, Link." Gaepora said. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a Green Tunic with a Green Hat. "Link. I hereby officially grant you Knight status. You may now bear the Tunic of the Knights of Skyloft." Link put the Tunic on and thanked Gaepora.

"Thank you, headmaster… I promise you. I will find Zelda." Link said. He picked up his sword and shield and exited the statue. He went back to the Knight Academy to sleep until morning.

He sat down on his bed and Fi followed him. He put his hands on his face in stress. "What am I going do, Fi?" He said.

Fi tilted her head. "I am sensing your stress levels rising to high amounts."

"Where am I going to find her?" He asked. "I need to get her back… Not just to save the world, but because…"

"I am sensing you have love for this woman." Fi said.

Link blushed. "Yeah I guess you can call it that… We grew up together." He gave Fi a stern look. "I don't know what to do to get her back. But I know I'm going to." Fi smiled. Link smiled as well. "Now… About you… What are you exactly? Are you a god?"

"I am a spawn of the God. She gave me life to lead the one who bares her crest." Fi said. "She spawned me into this world as an object. The Master Sword is not just a sword, it carries me inside of it as well…" She said.

"Woah cool… So you're a sword!" Link replied.

"I am indeed. And as long as you carry that sword, I am yours." Fi said. Her robotic voice was creepy yet comforting.

Link smiled. "We should get some sleep. We have to start looking for Zelda tomorrow." He shut his eyes. "Goodnight, Fi."

Link got up the next day and was ready to start his adventure to save Zelda. He waved goodbye to Gaepora and jumped on Crimson. ""Alright Fi, where to?" He asked.

"The Sealed Grounds is a good place to start… We will start our search there." Link flew over an opening in the clouds. He jumped off of Crimson and skydove into the Sealed Grounds.

As he was falling, he heard screaming above him getting louder and louder. "LOOK OUT, LIIIIIINK!" He heard from a familiar voice.

He looked up and saw Groose fall towards him. "AGHHH!" Link screamed out loud. Groose grabbed onto Link. Link pulled out his sailcloth and was able to safely land with Groose in the Sealed Grounds.

Sealed Grounds

Link was panting. "What the hell, Groose? You could've gotten us killed!" He said.

"Yeah… Don't mention it…" Groose said, out of breath. He didn't quite hear what Link said. He caught his breath and looked at Link. "Hey… Is it true that Zelda is gone…? I came down because I want to find her… I nee-. I need her to be safe, Link." Groose said as he started crying like a baby.

Link smiled and patted Groose on the head. "I always knew your heart was in the right place."

Groose looked at Link. "If you ever tell anyone you saw me like this, I'll flatten you." He said. "Now… What is this place?"

Link and Groose both looked in front of them and saw it. The Sealed Temple. They both walked inside. "Hello?" Link called out.

"You have done well, young Hero…" An old woman said as she emerged from the shadows. "I am Anju… One guided by the Goddess Hylia… You are Link, yes? And this is Groose."

"Okay… I get how you know my name, but how do you know his?" Link asked.

"Hey!" Groose said to Link.

"I know all of those who have a role to play in saving the World…" She said. "You, Hero of the Sky, and you… Hero of the Sealed Grounds… You will both be detrimental to defeating the Demon King…" Anju looked down. She then looked back at Link. "You… You're trying to save your loved one…"

Link started to blush and looked at Groose. "Loved one? Naw… Just a friend… haha…"

Fi came out of the Master Sword. "Link. It appears that your lying skills are only 7% effective." She went back into the Master Sword. Link facepalmed.

Groose started to walk out of the Sealed Temple. Anju looked down over at him. "Hehe… That young man doesn't understand that he's key to saving your loved one."

Link runs after Groose. "Groose! Where are you going?"

"Heh… It seems you're right, puny Link. You really are the hero… I can't do shit around here." Groose said as he looked off of the Sealed Grounds. He then looked back at Link. "But promise me. Promise me you'll save her…"

Link smiled and put his hand on Groose's shoulder. "I promise, Groose. She'll come back."

A sigh of relief went through Groose's body. He walked back inside the Sealed Temple. "You head back up and tell everyone I'm okay. I'm gonna watch over the old Lady for now. Goodluck, Link!" He walked inside of the Sealed Temple.

Link whistled for Crimson and began to fly up towards Skyloft. "I'm coming Zelda… I promise."

Skyloft

One week later, he had another dream. "Desert… He is coming…" He heard a voice say. "Lanayru… Hurry, Link…" He woke up. The sun was finally up.

Link looked at Fi, who emerged from the Master Sword. "Master, you look troubled." Fi said.

"Lanayru Desert… She's there!" Link said out loud. He grabbed the Master sword and rushed out of his room. The headmaster tried to stop him, but he pushed him aside. "I have to go! I have to save her!" He said. He ran to the drop off deck and Jumped off. He whistled as loudly as he can and Crimson came flying under him. "Let's go buddy!" Crimson and Link flew off.

"Lanayru Desert should be right in that opening over the clouds, master. I am sensing a 100% probability that she is there." Fi said.

Link nodded and continued racing through the sky on Crimson. He tapped Crimson's wing and jumped off of him. He skydove down into Lanayru Desert, using Zelda's Sailcloth as a parachute.

The Temple of Time

Link landed and looked around. The area was covered in sand. It was unlike anything he had ever seen in his life. He looked in front of him and saw a destroyed temple. "What is this?" He asked Fi. "Do a scan… or whatever."

"Yes, master." Fi said. She stood in place, scanning the environment. "It was called the Temple of Time by tribes in the past."

Link stepped towards the Temple of Time. He moved some fallen rubble and was able to make his way inside. Then, he saw her. Zelda was standing there with a harp in front of a goddess statue. His face lit up with happiness. "Zelda!" He called out. She smiled and ran towards him. He hugged her. Zelda smiled as tears rolled down her face. "I thought I lost you." He said as he held her close. "And when I did… I didn't know what I was going to do…"

Zelda's smile turned into a frown. "Link… I knew you would come for me…" She said. "I needed to see you one last time."

Link's smile stopped. He pulled away from her. "One last time?" He said as his voice quivered.

"I take it you have met Fi…" She said. Fi came out of the Master Sword. She waved at Zelda. "I am the reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia." Zelda said. "I spoke to her here at this shrine… I sent Fi to guide you to the Master Sword…"

"Is this true?" Link said as he looked at Fi.

"It is true, Master." Fi replied.

"Link… I need you to follow me." Zelda said as she walked into the Temple of Time. Link looked to the wall and saw a Triforce Mark. He lifted his hand up to it. "That's the Mark of the Triforce, Link. We both have one of them… Not just us, but the Demon King Demise, too."

Link finally looked at her. "Okay, I've heard that name twice… Who is Demise?" Zelda looked down.

"Twenty years ago, the Triforce was split into the three parts by a man named Girahim… The Triforce of Wisdom went to me… The Triforce of Courage to you… and the Triforce of Power to Girahim… Girahim had a goal… To revive the Demon King that started the War of the World… The Demon King Demise…" Link gasped. "In ancient Legend, the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, Triforce of Courage and the holder of the Triforce of Power are invincible when the three of them are alive at the same time… They're co-dependent."

"Zelda… Stop. Don't tell me what you're thinking of doing. I'll do it instead." Link said with tears forming in his eyes.

"When one Triforce is killed, the others are as well…" Zelda said. "But a way to bypass this… I can go into a hibernation until Demise is defeated… It will be as if my body is lifeless until you wake me up after you've killed Demise…" Tears started to form in Zelda's eyes. "Fi is meant to protect you… You can live with the help of Fi's life force." Fi nodded in agreeance with Zelda.

Link started to piece everything together. "So you're telling me… That in order for me to kill Demise and have you live… You need to temporarily die…?" Zelda nodded. "But what if you don't wake up? We have nothing to go off of that this will actually work!"

Zelda smiled. "This is not a discussion. We must do this. Just promise me one thing…" Link began crying. "That when you defeat Demise, you'll save me…"

Link wiped away his tears. "I promise… I'll save you, Zelda." Zelda smiled as a light formed around her at the Triforce wall. A crystal started forming around her. Link ran over to the wall and started banging on the forming crystal. "Please! Stay!"

"I'll always be your Zelda…" She said as the crystal engulfed her as her eyes closed. Link put his hand to the crystal where her hand was. Tears fell from his eyes.

Fi came towards him and wiped his tears away. "Master… You still have to defeat Demise… He will destroy Skyloft…"

"That's correct." A voice said. Link turned around and unsheathed his sword and shield. It was the man he saw in the tornado. The white being with a cape. "I take it the brat told you the story of how I broke the Triforce…" He said.

Link gasped. "You… You're Girahim… The one who revived Demise…"

Girahim began to laugh. "Yes. You're correct…" He opened a portal. "I would fight you now… But the Sealed Ground is where I belong… It's where the resurrection will take place…" Girahim laughed again and looked at the Crystal behind Link. "Look at that. Your girlfriend is dead… Sad…" Link, enraged ran at Girahim as he went inside the portal. "I'm an honorable man… If you want to stop the resurrection, try at the Sealed Grounds…" He disappeared.

Link got up. "It's time for us to stop this once and for all." He looked at Fi. "Let's go to the Sealed Grounds and warn Groose and Anju." He whistled for Crimson and flew out of Lanayru.

ACT III: THE FINAL BATTLE

Link landed in the Sealed Grounds. He felt shaking as soon as he landed. Groose came out of the Sealed Temple and saw Link. "Ah! There you are! It's about time! This place looks like it's going to blow!" Link and Groose looked into the center of the Sealed Grounds. All of a sudden, Girahim came out of it. Groose picked up a Great Sword. "You like it? Anju calls it the Biggoron Sword! I call it, the Grooseinator!" Groose began running towards Girahim.

Link smiled and looked at Anju. Anju looked at him. "It's time for you to defeat Demise, Link."

Jumped towards the center of the Sealed Grounds using Zelda's sailcloth. He took out his Master Sword and Hylian Shield. He and Groose stood in front of Girahim. "Let's do this, buddy." Link said to Groose. Groose smiled and nodded.

Girahim looked at the two soldiers. "You two… You really think you can defeat me… Demon Lord Girahim? Demise will take over as soon as I'm done with you…"

Link started laughing. "I take it you don't know the story, do you… You realize that if I die, Demise dies, right?"

Girahim started laughing directly after. "Ha! You think that's the true story!?" Link immediately stopped. "The Triforce of Power can exist without the other two… So can the Triforce of Wisdom… The true story, is that the Triforce of Courage is co-dependent!"

Groose put his sword down. He looked at Link. "Link… If you kill him… You'll die."

Link remembered the promise he made to Zelda. "… We can do this Groose… If that's what happens, so be it." He readied his sword. "Now… Let's do this!"

Demon Lord

Girahim

Link shot a beam from his sword at Girahim who was able dodge it. Girahim used his two swords and ran at Groose who blocked his attack. Groose punched Girahim in the face knocking him down. "Ack… You're strong…" Girahim said.

Link ran at him while he was down and threw his Hylian Shield. It bounced off of Girahim and Link caught it. He then ran at the Demon Lord and swung his sword in a spin attack "HIYAAAH!" He screamed as Girahim got a cut on his stomach.

Blood rushed out of the Demon Lord. "Nice job, Link!" Groose screamed out. Groose ran over to the Demon Lord and raised his sword over his head. "Demon Lord Girahim… Any last words?" Groose asked.

All of a sudden, lighting came down and struck the Demon Lord. Groose flew back and hit the wall of the Sealed Grounds and was knocked unconscious. "Groose!" Link cried out. "Girahim! I'll kill yo—huh?" Link said as he saw Girahim start flying up towards the sky slowly while convulsing.

"Demon Lord Girahim… You have failed me… Your goal was to wipe out the Triforce of Courage… Now… I must do it for you…" A voice said.

"Master… Demise…" Girahim whimpered. All of a sudden, Girahim turned into dust. Link walked backwards as a portal opened in the center of the Sealed Grounds.

"Link… Hero of the Sky… If you truly want to save your world… Show me… Walk through this portal and show that you truly are a hero. Stay where you are now and accept the fact that I am this worlds rightful ruler…" Link closed his eyes.

"Don't you dare give up, hero!" He heard Groose shout. Groose was sitting down by the wall. "Take that son of a bitch down and save her!" Groose smiled. Link looked at Groose and walked over to him.

"Groose… I always thought you were just a dumb jock… But the way you stood up to the Demon Lord… You put your life on the line… You're a true hero." Link said as bent down and reached his hand out.

"Hell yeah I am… But you're the Hero of the Sky… You're the one we're going to talk about for decades…" Groose said. "And I'm so grateful to have known you, man." Groose grabbed Link's hand and shook it. Link stood up and walked towards to portal. Groose looked on. "Go get em, puny man."

Link walked inside of the portal and disappeared.

Link emerged at the top of a mountain with columns sticking out of the ground. He looked forward and saw a podium with a triangle on the floor with two columns on the side. "DEMISE!" He screamed out.

A light formed on the podium. An eight foot tall buff humanoid figure with a flaming face appeared before him. "Holder of the Triforce of Courage… Welcome to Spear Pillar… The area said to be the birth of the God Arceus… The one who created the world…" Demise grabbed his giant Sword. "Soon… People will know it as the birthplace of the God Demise…" He raised his sword to the sky and the ground started shaking. Pillars started falling onto the ground of Spear Pillar. Link raised his sword towards the sky and shot a beam of light at Demise. Demise blocked it. "Foolish child… You will perish here…"

"No Demise… We both will." Link ran at his enemy and clashed with his sword.

Demon King

Demise

The two of them kept bouncing off one another with sword hit after sword hit. Demise slashed at Link's arm and left a gash there. He raised his sword to the sky as Lightning came down and shocked Link. Link fell back.

Fi came out of the Master Sword. "Master… You're trying to find a loophole. You must destroy Demise. His weakpoint is his head." She went back inside the Sword. Link raised his sword to the sky and launched another Skyward Strike at Demise. It staggered him. "Go now!" He heard Fi say.

Link ran at the giant Demon King and jumped on his arm. He raised his sword above Demise's head. "Fool! If you kill me, you'll never see her again!" Demise said. "I will be reborn! As long as one of the pieces of the Triforce exists I will be reborn!"

"At least I can slow down the process." Link said. He lowered his sword to Demise's head, cutting it open. A huge explosion ran across Spear Pillar. Demise screamed out as he turned into a mere red pendant. Link stood there, frozen in time as the explosion engulfed him.

6 Months Later

Groose is walking around Skyloft with his two pals Cawlin and Stritch. They're joking around with one another. Groose looks at a soldier in a green tunic and looks down. He looks at the Statue of Link being built in the center of Skyloft. He walks near Gaepora and puts his hand on his shoulder. "I wonder if they can see us… What we're doing." Groose says.

"Of course they can… Without them, our world would've been consumed by Demise… Link and Zelda… They're heroes… Just like you." Gaepora said to Groose. Groose smiled.

Kids are playing in the street with fake Master Swords and Hylian Shields. Pretending to be Link. The hero that people will remember for centuries… The Hero of the Sky…

The Temple of Time

Link's eyes fluttered open. He woke up on a slab inside of what seemed to be a temple. He looked around and saw a nurse next to him. He was in his Skyloft clothes. "Who… Who are you? Where am I?" He asked the woman.

"Huh… You're awake… We found you up by Spear Pillar not long ago, Link." The woman said.

Link stood up and got off the table. He looked up and saw the Symbol of Skyloft with a Triforce above it. "That mark on the ceiling… Skyloft had that symbol… Except there wasn't a Triforce…" The woman began to start sweating. She backed up. "I'm gonna ask you one more time… Where am I?" Link said as he started walking towards the woman.

"Link… I…" The woman said.

Link pushed the woman out of his way and began to run out of the Temple. Nurses tried holding him back, but they failed each time. He was able to push his way through them. He exited the Temple doors and emerged outside in Hyrule Square. He looked around and saw people riding horses and playing in the marketplace. He looked up and saw a Helicopter land with four cars right near it. A man came out of the car. He had a beard and was in a jumpsuit. "Hey there. I can tell this is all a bit confusing to you." The man said. "You're Link, right? I'm Solid Snake. Nice to meet you."

Link kept looking around at all this new technology he never saw before. "Who… What… Where am I? What happened to Skyloft?"

Snake looked down at his feet. "You've been asleep Link… For almost 100,000 Years…" Link fell down to the ground. He almost fainted. Two of Snake's allies helped him to his feet. Link continued to look around Hyrule. It was unreal. The last thing he remembered was defeated Demise… Tears began to form in his eyes. "You gonna be okay?" Snake asked.

"Yeah… I just." Link started. "I had a promise to keep." Link said as he looked up to the Temple he just came out of. On the front of it, was the logo he had on his hand. The Triforce.

POST CREDITS SCENE

This isn't going to be a traditional post credits scene. I'm just going to talk to all of you.

Thank you so much for the support. This one has taken me so long to write basically because of some writers block. I apologize if some of it felt rushed. I just really wanted to finish it. The next one is it. The culmination of these 6 stories. Mario, Link, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Samus, Pikachu, Fox, and Yoshi are all going to assemble to fight Meta Knight as he tries to take over the world with his Subspace Army. I hope it will be worth it. It might be awhile before it's released, but I will try my hardest to make it the best story so far.

Link will return in Super Smash Bros.
