Stepping out of the Lightning Cruiser Alice sighed. Looking up at the large building she closed her eyes. To think she now acted as a protector of earth. She couldn't help the excitement at the thought of fighting monsters.
"That's adorable but please promise not to scream."
Her eyes snapped open at the voice. In the parking spot beside her was Matt. He stood leaning on what looked to be a strange ship. He smiled lazily pushing off the odd vehicle. As he moved she notice an inscription "TF Eagle".
"Come on I'll walk you inside."
Shaking herself from her daze she smiled. Talking over random topics they crossed the packed lot. She noted the hodgepodge of vehicles that seemed to be present. The oddest she noticed was a modified Volkswagen Beetle. The aged bug looked out of place among the advanced modes of transportation.
As they passed the driver's door opened. Stepping out Dr. Cranston gave a weak nod in their direction. Without a word, he snatched a large folder from the car. Silently shutting the car door he rushed inside.
"He said he wanted to talk to me I wonder what it's all about."
Slowly she stepped inside the large lab. She was met with a workbench full of blueprints and diagrams. Creeping closer she noticed what they were blueprints of. Schematics of the Dragonzord were spread across the table. Her eyes went wide at the sight of the plans.
"I drew these personally I promise you they'll bring the Dragonzord up to snuff with the modern zords."
Leaning on the workbench she studied the blueprints. As she scanned the designs her eyes widened. Throughout the diagrams, a simple word kept showing up. The word "Tigerzord" was written in bold black ink on each.
"The Tigerzord was destroyed years ago, what are you planning?!"
Boiling with rage she glared at Dr. Cranston. At her glare, he flinched slightly. Slowly he moved to the workbench resting on it. Studying one of the blueprints he nervously fixed an error.
"I can assure you I have no ill intentions."
She watched as the pencil moved in a blur. Truly he understood the mechanics of Zords. Her eyes moved to one of the diagrams. It didn't seem much different from the normal dragonzord.
"These were one of the last things your father did with the organization be he disappeared. He knows the dragonzord better than anyone if he thinks this is a good idea I have to agree."
Slowly his words sunk in. Her father had approved these designs. With a mute nod, she closed her eyes. These upgrades were her father's plans who was she to argue. Slowly she turned to Billy with a stern expression.
"Let's do it for them."
Two days later Alice found herself atop the Dragonzord. Sitting on the mechanical beast's head she guided him into a waiting docking bay. Understanding her orders the grand dragon stepped into the bay without hesitation. As she finally stopped playing the Dragonzord tilted its head down. As its head dropped she slid to the scaffold below.
Slowly she turned to place a hand on the mechanical monster. Placing her forehead against it she sighed. As she stood a hand touches her shoulder. Jerking upright she spun coming face with Billy. He wore a concerned smile as he looked at the Dragonzord.
"Man it's been years since I've seen this guy he looks good. I swear to you nothing will go wrong I only work with the best."
Letting out a calming breath she nodded. Stepping away she took in her dragon friend. This was going to work she could feel it in her heart. As her eyes darted to the strategically placed Tigerzord parts she blinked. Skittering among the components was a familiar red and gold robot. At the sight, she couldn't help but smile.
"Alpha!"
At her shout, the droid turned to wave to her. Smiling she returned the robot's wave. As the robot returned to his task she leaned on the railing. At her side stood a smiling Billy.
Below the various skilled humans and robots worked. They each had been tasked with modifying a certain part. As they worked. Alice watched as the pieces were added or shifted. Those tasked to upgrade her zord seemed to know what they were doing.
Something caught her eye as the work neared its end. A large golden sword resting on the scaffold to the right of the zord. Her attention was stolen by a tap on the shoulder.
As she swerved she saw it. The new Dragonzord seemed so different. The limbs were as long as the normal Megazord. The head chest had was now that of the Tigerzord's warrior mode. Its former hands now rested on its shoulders as missile launchers. The Tigerzord's hands now acted as its hands. The feet now had the beast claws from the Tigerzord.
"I have no word for this."
At her comment, Billy only smirked. This had worked far better than he had planned. Crossing his arms over his chest he took in the remolded Zord. Turning to Alice he smiled with pride.
"Allow me to introduce the Dragonzord Neo."
Standing she looked into the Dragonzord's eyes. In a green flash, she summoned her dagger. In a flourish, she spun it between her fingers. The dagger had evolved along with her Zord. The blade now curved into a slight hook. Placing the dagger to her lips she whispered to the mechanical dragon.
"Time to wake up bud, time to show the world the new you."
At the first note red eyes glowed to life. Slowly its large hand lowered to her. With a hop, she was in his palm. Stiffly its other hand grabbed the golden saber. Easing itself backward the Dragonzord departed the bay. As they left Alpha approached Billy speaking cheerfully.
"I believe this can only end well professor."
