Stepping into the sand-covered arena the mortal form of Dai Shi in a slow breath. His mind was empty save for one thought, the desire the destroy. At the sound of the opposing gate opening, he looked up. He was met with the sight of a creature that looked like a cross between the skeleton and mirror its bones reflective. Stepping closer the skeleton transformed taking on an inverted version of himself. As he prepared to strike the mirror image moved to block his action. Striking once more he landed his blow before being sent flying backward. From above him, Scorpina laughed behind her tapping her staff against the ground.
"It might be helpful to tell you Reflector replicates your attacks back tenfold," she called out
His gaze flashed to the sorceress the duplicate dashed his direction. Its fist cloaked in a white flame it punched him in the jaw. Flipping backward Dai Shi rubbed his jaw eyes locked on his double. Charging his clone the shadow lion pounced launching into the air. Rushing through the air he kneed the clone in the chest. Sent skidding backward Reflector spun on one foot sending out a swift kick. Raising his arm Dai Shi blocked the kick tossing the double into the air. As it fell he cupped his hands forming an orb of black and violet energy. Once the orb had been formed he fired it off like a Hadouken. The blast connected with its target sending it into a distant wall.
"So much for your creature witch, it posed no challenge!" Dai Shi boasted
Smiling ominously Scorpina flipped a coin into the air. The golden coin glowed as it sailed through the air over the battlefield. On instinct, Dai Shi's hand shot up snatching the coin. Looking down he found the Sabertooth Tiger coin resting in his palm. Glancing up at the sorceress his brow rose and he gave a wave of her hand. Unaware of what he should do he held out the coin closing his eyes. In a yellow flash, he took on a form like that of his armored formed having a hint of gold. The lion that once on his chest now decorated his helmet the coin taking its place. His eyes widen as the reflecting monster crawled from its hole in a similar armored form.
Now prove you are worthy to join my shadow rangers." Scorpina announced
"You're correct Lily that is an odd occurrence."
The shade ranger sat in her sitting room with the smartest person she knew. Doctor Cranston sat studying Keith's Power Buckle face set in confusion. She had told him of the events from yesterday. Her mind couldn't help but think about the demon they encountered. She knew of him from her reading of the records kept my Hexagon, Prince Olympus. This new form wasn't recorded in any of the files she had read it seemed so strange. Slowly she remembered another out-of-place detail from their fight. Sitting up her eyes went wide as she slammed her hands on the coffee table. The various scientific tools rattled on impact.
"He had a Power Coin!" she yelled
"He's using a backdoor connection to drain his Tyranno power." Dr. Cranson started looking up from the buckle
At the sound of a crash, they turned to see Keith standing at the door. He was barely upright resting against the doorframe for support. Limping over he clutched something in his hand. The object almost looked like a cellphone with a flip-top but part of it was round. Sitting beside Lily he placed the object on the table looked at the professor. The object in question revealed itself to be a Samuraizer like that used by the Samurai Rangers. Speaking in a weak voice the gold ranger tapped Samuraizer.
"Then let's just use another door." He mumbled
With a smug smile, he tilted his head back closing his eyes. Blinking Dr. Cranston turned to one of his various devices tapping some of its buttons. Placing the morphers inside the machine two strands of the Morphing Grid appeared. Gently the doctor weaved the strands together like a braiding cord into rope. The thicker of the two was a beautiful shade of red with gold just barely visibly woven into it. Once that was down he tapped another button the strand vanishing. The Samuraizer glowed momentarily as Dr. Cranston deactivated the machine. When the glow had faded he sat letting out a nervous sigh.
"You know how to use that thing?" Dr. Cranston stated
"Trust me I do, I'm half Samurai after all," Keith replied
Slowly Keith stood scooping up the Samuraizer flicking it open. Giving the Morpher a spin he drew a symbol into the air. Coming out in red outlined in gold he drew the symbol for Zeo old. In a flash of gold flame, he took on a new ranger form taking a heroic pose. His ranger form now looked more like that of the red samurai ranger. The black of the suit had the gold detail from Zeo gold. The symbol on the helmet had become that of Zeo gold with the same symbol on the chest. The Power Sword had transformed into a Spin Sword the blade tinted gold symbols glowing.
"How do you feel Mr. Scott?" Dr. Cranston asked
"I feel pretty damn good," Keith announced gripping his blade
"Alright, what the hell!" Gale yelled running along a wall
"Face your death with dignity ranger!" Scorpina growled
"Bow about no?" Gale snapped
With a leap the ninja flipped bouncing off the wall narrowly avoiding the boomerang. Twisting the ninja spun launching the curved weapon back at its user with her sword. The boomerang twirled sticking itself into the ground at scorpina's feet handle up. As the scorpion warrior tugged her weapon free the ninja ranger sent her to the ground with a kick to the fast. Rolling the Scorpina slashed at Gale only for their blades to clash with a quiet clang.
"You're brave to face me, alone child," Scorpina said with a chuckle
"I didn't," Gale said eyes darting to a nearby rooftop
Arrows rained from the rooftop falling down of the dueling pair oddly focused on Gale. Deflecting a series of stray arrows the ninja jumped back glaring in the direction of her partner. She was met with Anton unceremoniously tumbling from the rooftop falling onto the street below. On contact, his ranger form flickered away like a dead light bulb. As the White Ranger struggled to stand a doppelganger jumped from the roof grabbing him by the hair.
"Neither did I," Scorpina said grinning
"Let him go!" Gale snarled
The yell leaving her lips the streetlamps exploded sending shocks toward the clone. The clone dropped Anton his injured body thumping against the ground leaving a red puddle. Shoving Scorpina away Gale rushed to her teammate carefully scooping up his unconscious form. Holding her ally on her back she fled leaping up the side of a building.
"This isn't good," Gale muttered
