Chapter 2: (2,3K)
Ana didn't say a word about that night to either of the guys, she didn't want to make it awkward between them. After all, it was normal for Jack and Christian to have sex in their own home in the middle of the night. She was the odd one who was dreaming and lusting over people who were in a relationship and clearly not interested in her sexually.
Yes, both men were hot, and it had been a while since she had been with someone. So she blamed her horniness for that nonsense of a dream. It was nothing more, a hot but stupid dream that just had bad timing with her overhearing the couple in the middle of it. It was nothing more. Not all dreams were meant to have a signification or to come true.
So Ana kept that particular night to herself and kept her little routine just as it was with the guys. She didn't even tell them that she had overheard them. And for the next couple of weeks, nothing out of the ordinary happened. Sure, she caught herself checking the guys out once or twice, but that was nothing new. She had always found them handsome, and the dream didn't change anything to that.
This particular Friday, Ana was getting ready to go clubbing with her friends, a small part of her telling her that she should find a guy to keep at bay any more weird fantasies including gay men. She was dressed to kill as Kate would put it, with her hair flying freely on her back, a sexy little black dress with a golden top, heels that made her legs longer and dark smokey eyes with bright red lips for her makeup.
She was listening to some music, putting the final touches on her makeup when she heard a noise coming from the living room, indicating to her that Christian had gone home. Friday nights were usually late nights for Jack who always stayed in his office so he wouldn't bring home too much work. In fact, more than once Ana joined him and studied whilst he was grading paper and they would come home together.
Once she was ready, she left her bathroom, picked her purse from her closet and passed by the living room to spend a couple of minutes with Christian before taking a cab to meet her friends. When she entered the room, Christian looked up from his laptop to greet her before stopping what he was doing and staring at her and her attire with his brows furrowed,
"Where are you going?"
"The Mile High. It's girls night and my friends have been telling me to come with them for months. Do you know the place?"
Christian closed his laptop, his eyes going up and down on her as he nodded, "Yes. They make decent drinks. And good music. But we don't go there often. Jack doesn't want to run into his students there, and it's the most popular amongst your kind."
"Well, that's understandable," she agreed, checking on her phone. She felt Christian's gaze still on her, reminding her of the endless arguments she had with Elliott when she was in high school and he would warn her of what boys only had in mind. Which was probably why she snapped, "What?"
"Does your brother know you're going out dressed like that?"
She rolled her eyes, barely surprised that she had guessed right where Christian's trail of thoughts was heading to. "As you just said, Elliott is just my brother. Not my fashion designer."
Once again, Christian looked at her from head to toe, though at this point, it felt that he hadn't stopped looking at her ever since he closed his laptop. "It's just that … Elliott seems like the overprotective kind of brother …"
She smiled and walked to him to reassuringly kiss his cheek, "What he doesn't know won't bring him a heart attack. Let's keep this between us. Now, I'm off to dance and drink. Don't wait up for me."

Ana met her friends at Kate's who was living the closest to the club. The two of them, along with Hannah and Andrea started with a few drinks at Kate's, so they wouldn't ruin themselves. After all, they were all students, and though Kate came from money, she still insisted on making it on her own,
When it was time to go so girls would have a free pass to enter, they all went, already tipsy and giddy of their night plans. After all, they were celebrating Kate's long-awaited breakup with her obnoxious boyfriend who had done nothing but drain her, physically, emotionally and financially.
Though they didn't necessarily come to the club to find guys, both Andrea and Ana got hit on and gladly let it play out. Especially since Jason Taylor, the guy interested in Ana seemed like a decent guy. Maybe it was because he was working as the bartender and couldn't do anything too bold without risking his job, but it settled with Ana taking his number and giving him hers, with the promise of a picture of her messy hair first thing in the morning, so he would know what he was getting himself into.
When she got home, Ana was dead tired, but happy. She liked spending time with her friends, and though she was not a party girl, once in while did her she good. Maybe she should listen to her friends and actually follow them to Cancun for Spring Break.
With as little noise as she could, she slumped on the sofa and removed her shoes, grimacing when her feet breathed again. She had done what every girl knew not to do, but still did, she went out dancing with new shoes. For a moment, she was tempted to just sleep off her night out on the sofa, but that thought quickly flew out of the window when she heard a noise behind her.
She startled, sitting up and turning only to find in the shadows, Christian with his hair dishevelled and just his pyjama trousers. She stopped herself from staring and apologised, realising that she had been noisier than she thought, "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up."
"Don't worry, you didn't," he disregarded, eyeing her before walking to the sofa and sitting on the other end. Ana moved a little her feet, but h caught them before they could touch the floor and brought them to his lap. Then he started to gently massage them, looking at her as he inquired, "How was your evening?"
"Fruitful," She boasted with a smile, closing her eyes as Christian applied a little more pressure on the inside of her sole. She knew she should be weirded out by this position, but this was such a Christian thing. Christian paid attention to the little details and helped without being asked. And it wasn't the first free massage he was giving her. He had already rubbed her back or shoulders several times during the week of her exams. Just like he did with Jack.
"Where is the guy, then? Was he that bad that you already threw him out?" He mocked and she shook her head, smiling a little at his joke.
"I'd never bring a guy here. First, I don't like the idea of someone I just met knowing where I live. Second, I don't want to make it awkward for you guys. Breakfasts are bound to be awkward if you heard me screaming like a banshee the night before."
She heard Christian chuckle as he asked, "So you're a screamer? I pictured you more like a silent climaxer."
Just as he said those words, he hit a special nerve that made her moan and open her eyes. He victoriously smirked as he added, "No, I was wrong, you're definitely a screamer."
She tried to find something witty to respond but she couldn't focus on anything but the way his hands were now massaging up her calf and the way his eyes were looking at her. It was … unsettling.
"Stop looking at me like that."
"Like what?" He smirked, his hands dangerously close to her knees. In fact, she was sure that even he was closer to her than before.
"Like that!"
"And why should I stop?"
"Because you're gay and gay man don't look at women like that," She reminded him and it didn't seem to bother him the least in the world.
"Who said I'm gay? Who said that I never tasted the other side?"
This made her speechless and blink as she did her best to suppress the dream she had a couple of weeks ago. In that dream, it was Christian who had beckoned her to join them and it was Christian that she had been about to kiss before she woke up.
"Christian … S-stop it … Jack …"
"I'm just looking at a beautiful woman, Ana. Nothing more. Jack has nothing to do with that."
His hands had kept on massaging her all throughout the conversation, and once again, he pressed a special nerve, just higher on her leg. She repressed a moan and Christian smirked at her, perfectly aware that she had repressed that noise on purpose. She glared at him and he chuckled before finally stopping and getting up, "You should get some rest, Ana."
He left to join Jack in their room, and Ana swiftly got up to go to her own room.

The next day, Ana woke up around ten and only found Jack in the kitchen, eating his breakfast. He smiled at her as soon as he saw her, letting her know that Christian had to go to work to cover for a sick employee. When he opened his shop, Christian used to work 24/7, but that was three years ago. Now he was more laid back, just dropping by once in a while, collecting the checks and doing all the paperwork behind the good maintenance of the shop. Still, he never hesitated to cover a shift when it was necessary.
Ana sat in front of Jack who slid to her the plate of French Toasts that Christian had made before leaving. Which made Ana frown. Over the months, Ana had learned that French Toasts meant that Jack and Christian had sex the previous night. She wondered if that was the reason why Christian was awake when she came home, he and Jack had just finished their coitus.
"You okay?" Jack inquired with worry and Ana nodded, doing her best to shake the sleep out of her. She was not a morning person, to begin with, but added to that a hangover, it could have been a better Saturday.
"Christian said that you came back late and tipsy last night."
"Yup. Girls night, uni life and all of that."
Jack nodded with an approbating chuckle, though he let her know,
"He was worried. He said you were smoking hot."
"Well, it's the point when you go clubbing. I mean, I wasn't going to go looking like a duck."
Jack laughed, nodding in approval again as he shoved a piece of toast on his mouth. Still, he told her, "Nonetheless, next time, call either of us. Cabs art that safe nowadays, and walking … well, no matter how safe the neighbourhood is, we don't want to tempt the statistics."
"Don't worry, Jack. Worst case scenario I would have crashed at Kate's."
He cleared his throat and reached to touch Ana's hand over the table, "You know, we see you as more than some we share a flat with. I hope you too see us as friends."
"Of course I do."
"Then, that's what friends do. So next time, call us."
She nodded, smiling to him with all her heart and they fell in a comfortable silence, waiting for her coffee to kick in. Once it did, she inquired about his classes and he did the same. They made fun of the Dean and his terrible idea of trying to grow a stylish moustache that looked terrible on him, and as they did the dishes together, Ana gathered the courage to ask,
"Can I ask you something out of sheer curiosity?"
Jack eyes her, from head to toe, and she suddenly felt like she had a professor in front of her, not her roommate and friend. He chuckled, returning to his dished as he matter-of-factly said,
"Christian is bisexual."
She frowned, wondering how he knew that it was her question, but he added, "And you're definitely his type of woman. Petite, brunette, confident, funny and a smile to die for. He almost rejected your application when you visited."
Ana stopped drying the plates, wondering if she had made a mistake to move in with the guys. In all honesty, she wouldn't mind Christian, but she didn't want to break a relationship. Especially one as healthy and loving as the one the couple had. She didn't want to be a home-wrecker.
Jack burst into laughter and bumped Ana's shoulder and reassured her, "Haha, don't sweat it, Ana. Christian told me about yesterday. There is this whole other side of him you have no idea about. I guess he feels comfortable enough around you to show you this side now. He likes to tease, especially when the teased party gets easily flustered."
