Chapter 3: Training, Angry Blonde and New Friend

(Flashback, 4 years ago. 3 months after Oliver arrived)

The criminal grinned as he spied a shapely young woman walk down the sidewalk towards the alley where he stood. It was dark out and this made it the perfect opportunity for him to rob the unsuspecting victim, maybe he would have some 'fun' with her as well. Too bad he didn't notice the hooded figure crouched on the rooftop above watching his every move and just waiting to pounce.

As the woman passed, the criminal leapt out of the shadows and pointed his palm at her.

"Don't move or make sound or I'll put a spike through your eyes," threatened the criminal and made a sharp bone protrude from his palm. "Now come here and give me all your valuables."

The woman froze in fear before nervously approaching the criminal and handing over her handbag.

Grabbing the bag and dumping everything inside on the ground, the robber frowned when he saw there wasn't much money. Aiming his spiked palm again at the terrified woman he threatened.

"Where's the rest!? There's hardly anything here, you better not be holding out on me or I swear to Kami I'll put one right between your eyes!"

"I swear that's all I have! Just please don't hurt me!" cried the terrified woman.

"Well then, I'll just have to take something else from you. If you know what I mean."

The woman's eyes widened as the criminal eyed her lecherously and was about to make a grab at her when suddenly an arrow launched from above and pierced the man's wrist and pinned it to the wall.

At first the criminal didn't register that his hand was stuck to the wall, at least not until blood started to drip down and the pain set in.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!" Was the pain filled scream that came from the criminal's mouth.

Dropping from the rooftops, the Green Arrow approached the screaming criminal and delivered a vicious blow with his bow that knocked him out and sent the alley into silence.

Seeing the robber immobilized the archer turned his attention to the woman, only to find the alleyway empty. The woman had apparently used the opportunity to flee, not that he minded, as long as she was safe, and the criminal was captured then he was happy.

"Well well, it seems I finally caught up with you." Said a dull voice from above.

Looking up, Green Arrow saw a figure drop down and land silently on the ground. The figure wore black boots, a black jumpsuit and had what seemed like bandages wrapped around his neck while yellow goggles rested on his long shaggy haired head.

This was Shota Aizawa, the 'Erasure Hero: Eraserhead'. Quirk: Eraser. He can erase quirks by looking at an individual, the affect disappears when he blinks.

"I think it's time we had a talk, you and I." said the pro hero with glowing red eyes.

(End Flashback)

(Present Day, Training Warehouse)

Izuku grunted as he blocked a kick aimed at his head before throwing a jab at his opponents' midsection, but his attack was easily parried and was rewarded with gloved fist to the face.

"Focus Izuku!" said Oliver as he retraced his fist after tagging the boy. "Never lose concentration, especially in a fight. If your opponent sees you're not focused, they will take advantage of it."

Nodding his head Izuku said, "Yes Oliver Sensei!" and brought up his guard again and resumed sparring.

It had been 6 years since Oliver began training Izuku, who was now ten years old, and the young freckled boy had progressed well in his training. The first few months they just focused on building Izuku's physical strength and stamina, so it was mainly bodyweight exercises and calisthenics' and from there Oliver would teach Izuku the basics of fighting.

He started with Kickboxing since the style emphasized good footwork and how to correctly punch and deliver powerful kicks correctly without injuring oneself. As Izuku's skills improved, Oliver began teaching the more deadlier styles like Kali, Muay Thai and Silat etc. However, there was one skill that Izuku was looking the most forward to learning.

"Ok that's enough for now," said Oliver after 2 more minutes of sparring. Izuku took off his gloves and wiped his sweaty brow while taking deep breaths. Sparring with Oliver was always a challenge, but it was one that Izuku enjoyed as he knew he was slowly but surely improving each time. Taking off his now sweaty shirt revealed a strong body that showed off the results of the hard training Izuku was doing, he wasn't 'ripped' by any means but had strong and lean physic that most children could only dream of having.

"Get some water and a bowl, it's time you begin your archery training."

Green eyes widened immediately. "R-really!? Are you sure I'm ready?" asked Izuku excitedly at the prospect of learning to shoot as well as his mentor.

Oliver nodded, "Yes I'm sure, now do you want to just stand there all day, or do you want to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow?"

Taking off like a bullet, Izuku rushed into the refreshment area of the warehouse and retrieved a bowl and a bottle of water before rushing back and waited eagerly for his next instruction.

"Ok Izuku, before we begin, I want you to try and draw back the string of this bow." Said Oliver and handed Izuku a carbon fiber long bow that was made for his current size.

Gripping the weapon in his left hand, Izuku used three fingers on his right hand like he'd seen Oliver do and tried to draw the string back. "Hnngg!" Grunted the green haired boy as he struggled to pull the string all the way to his cheek. He managed to pull it halfway until his arm and hand simply gave up.

Sighing with disappointment, Izuku handed the bow back to Oliver who didn't seem surprised at his failure.

Picking up and opening the water bottle, Oliver poured the liquid into the bowl Izuku brought and set it down in front of him.

"The next part of your training will be simple. Until I say so, I want you to slap the water in this bowl."

Izuku stared at the water filled bowl with confusion. "Huh?"

"You heard me, slap the water until I tell you to stop."

Deciding not to question his trainer, Izuku brought his right hand over the bowl and slapped down.

*Slap!

"Again." Ordered Oliver.

*Slap!

"Again."

*Slap!

"Again."

*Slap!

Soon the bowl was empty until Oliver refilled it again and Izuku resumed his 'training'.

(6 weeks later)

Izuku sighed as he once again slapped the bowl of water for what felt like the thousandth time. Since the day he failed to draw back the bow string he would slap the bowl of water after each training session for about an hour until he was told to stop.

He never questioned Oliver's teaching methods, but he was starting to get frustrated at what seemed like a pointless exercise.

"Izuku come here for a moment," called Oliver from the target range side of the warehouse.

Abandoning the bowl, Izuku stood up and made his way to his waiting teacher. "Yes Oliver-sensei? Do you need something?"

"Yes Izuku, I want you to draw back the string on this bow." Said Oliver and handed his student the same bow he failed to draw back weeks ago.

"But sensei, I couldn't do it before. How can I be able to do it now?" questioned the freckled boy.

The archer just smirked, "Just give it a try, trust me, you might be surprised."

"Alright, if you say so."

Taking the bow once again in his left hand, Izuku gripped the string with his index, middle and ring fingers and pulled back expecting to struggle like before, only to gasp in surprise when he was able to draw the string back all the way to his cheek without any trouble at all.

"W-w-what the!? How is this possible?!" asked Izuku in bewilderment and amazement before his eyes widened in realization. "The water in the bowl! Me slapping the water strengthened my arm strength and muscles in my hand, arm and shoulders!"

"You're absolutely right," said Oliver, impressed with his student's deductive skills. "But just because you can draw the bowstring back, doesn't mean you can automatically shoot accurately. It's gonna take a lot of time and dedication, are you ready for this?"

"Yes Sensei!"

Oliver picked up a quiver of arrows and gestured to the target range.

"The let's get started."

(2 years later. Izuku age: 12 years old)

Izuku was only half paying attention to his classroom teacher's lesson. The freckled boy was currently writing notes in his notebook on what his future hero costume would be, he wanted to pay homage to his idol All Might as well as his current mentor, Green Arrow.

"Maybe a green hooded costume with hair-like protrusions on the top to mimic All Might's hair? Or maybe I can incorporate a cape, like All Might's Bronze-age costume? No that would get in the way and could get caught on something, especially if I'm free-running on the rooftops. Maybe I should add mutter mutter mutter…."

"Pay attention Midoriya!" ordered the teacher and used his quirk to stretch his arm towards the mumbling boy and tried to chop him on the head, only for his palm to be grabbed by the still mumbling Izuku.

The whole class gasped in shock while a certain blonde-haired boy glared at the green haired boy with anger and surprise on his face.

"Huh?" said Izuku, and finally noticed his teachers palm that he instinctively caught. "Did you need something sir?" he asked.

"N-no," the teacher stammered and retracted his arm. "Just pay more attention next time."

The class began whispering to each other as they witnessed the usually timid Midoriya react in a completely different way than normal. They had all began to notice some changes in the freckled boy, for one he seemed much more confidant and outspoken. The usual taunts about him being quirkless didn't seem to bother him anymore. The girls also noticed Izuku's increase in height and muscle and would often stare at the oblivious boy with hearts in their eyes, not that Izuku ever noticed.

The bell ringing put an end to the whispering and the students collected their belongings and left the school building.

Izuku was about to leave the school premises when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Can I help you with something, Kacchan?" Izuku asked, turning to face his former best friend and his lackeys.

Katsuki Bakugo glared at his former childhood friend with anger at the lack of fear he was showing. It all started a few years ago, Izuku had come to school with new confidence and a new attitude as well. He wasn't painfully shy like before and didn't seem to mind when he was teased about being quirkless, he would get annoyed but wouldn't be afraid of speaking out.

"You think your hot shit don't you Deku? Just because you got some muscles and confidence you think you're better than everyone, than me? You're nothing but a useless, quirkless fucking Deku and you'll always be one and there's nothing that you or anyone can do about it!"

Katsuki expected Izuku to whimper and begin apologizing like before, the last thing he expected was for Izuku to begin chuckling like he had just heard the biggest joke ever and was trying to hold in his laugh.

"Pfftttt," was the only sound Izuku could make as tried to not laugh.

Bakugo's eyes were twitching, while his lackeys just stood there without a clue on what to do.

"WHAT THE HELL IS SO FUNNY DEKU!!!??? I SWEAR IF YOU DON'T STOP SNICKERING, I'M GONNA SHOVE AN EXPLOSION DOWN YOUR GODDAM THROAT!!!"

Finally, Izuku could no longer hold it in.

"BUUAHAAAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP DEKU!!! I SWEAR I'M NOT PLAYING AROUND!" Threatened Bakugo, but this just made Izuku clutch his sides and laugh even louder.

After 5 minutes of non-stop laughter, Izuku finally managed to calm down enough to speak while wiping away tears from laughing so hard.

"I-I'm sorry Kacchan, it's just that…with your blonde spiky hair, when you yell like that…you kind of look like an angry Pomeranian."

"A P-P-Pomeranian?!" Stammered Bakugo angrily at being compared to a small dog. "I'LL SHOW YOU A POMERANIAN! COME HERE DEKU!"

Izuku instantly took off running while a pissed off Bakugo gave chase and leaving the two bewildered lackeys behind.

Izuku grinned as he sprinted through the streets of Mustafu with an angry Bakugo in hot pursuit. Calling his former childhood friend a Pomeranian was actually Oliver's idea. He said it was his next training exercise, get Bakugo angry enough to chaise him and attempt to escape using his new parkour skills.

"GET BACK HERE DEKU! I'M NOT GONNA KILL YA. JUST GONNA MAKE YOU FEEL EXCRUTIATING PAIN!" Shouted the angry blonde.

"THAT'S NOT EXACTLY INCENTIVE FOR ME TO STOP KACCHAN!" Izuku shouted in return and kept running.

Quickly turning into an alleyway, Izuku jumped onto a dumpster and leaped to the fire-escape ladder. Grabbing the ladder, Izuku quickly pulled himself up and speedily began running up the stairs.

"WHAT THE-? HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT DEKU!?" Shouted Katsuki but all he got was a cheeky grin in reply from the freckled boy who had now reached the rooftop. Giving a two fingered salute, Izuku turned and disappeared from view.

Now even more pissed off, Katsuki activated his quirk and fired an explosion from his palms and rocketed up to the rooftop, but when he landed all he found was an empty rooftop.

"HOW THE FUC-!? GODDAMIT, HE GOT AWAY! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME DEKU, THIS ISN'T OVER! I WILL GET YOU NEXT TIME! BELIEVE IT!"

With his angry rant finished, Katsuki climbed back down while thinking of the different ways he would make Izuku pay.

(Back on the rooftop)

Izuku let out sigh of relief from the side of the building he was hanging on, he thought for sure Katsuki would catch him, but he had managed to successfully escape the blonde unscathed.

"Man, that was close," said Izuku as he climbed back onto the rooftop. "Oliver-sensei was right, this will be great training for me, I just hope Kacchan doesn't take it to personally….nah he's definitely taking personally.

Checking his watch Izuku saw he still had some time before he had to be home so he decided since he was already on a rooftop, he could have some fun.

"Alright, let's do this!"

Running up to the edge of the building, Izuku jumped and landed on the other one before running on. Still moving, Izuku vaulted over an air-unit and immediately slid under a guard rail. Getting to his feet Izuku continued to vault and climb various obstacles on the rooftops until he came up to a big gap between two buildings. Taking a deep breath, Izuku focused on the pipe running down the side of the building. He knew if he missed it then he would be seriously injured.

Running at top speed Izuku jumped, and time seemed to slow to a crawl. For a few moments Izuku felt as if he was flying and that nothing could stop him. Reality hit fast in the form of the side of the building approaching.

"Gotcha!" cheered Izuku as he grabbed the pipe and slid down like a fireman. After his heartrate slowed down to normal Izuku stared up and realized how high he actually was. "I can't believe I just did that; I better not tell mom, or she'll freak out."

"That was totally manly dude!"

Turning to the unknown voice, Izuku saw a boy about his age in a school uniform. The unknown boy was slightly taller than Izuku and had long black hair and was grinning at him with unnaturally sharp teeth.

Blinking with confusion, Izuku said, "Excuse me?"

The boy pointed to the building Izuku just slid down, "I saw you make that jump like it was nothing, I've only seen pro-hero's do things like that. Did you use your quirk to make that jump?"

Midoriya shook his head, "No I didn't, I'm actually quirkless. Oh, forgive me, I'm Izuku Midoryia." Izuku introduced himself with a bow."

The boy pointed to himself with his thumb, "I'm Eijiro Kirishima, nice to meet you- did you say quirkless?!"

Izuku rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, "Yep, confirmed by a doctor and everything. No quirk for me."

Eijiro was dumbfounded, this boy who looked about the same age as him, had just did something incredible without a quirk, and he didn't even seem embarrassed to admit it!

"That is so incredibly MANLY!" Yelled Kirishima. "You did that while being quirkless! You've got some stones; I'll give you that."

Izuku blushed at the praise, normally when people found out he was quirkless they would either look at him with pity or hurl insults at him. Yet this stranger he just met didn't seem bothered at all.

Kirishima suddenly asked, "Hey you wanna hang out some time?"

"W-what? You want to hang out with me?" asked Izuku in surprise that someone actually wanted to spend time with him despite finding out about his lack of quirk.

"Sure, why not? You seem like a cool dude, maybe you can teach me some of that rooftop jumping. Whuddya say huh?"

"It's called parkour, and I guess I could show you a few tricks." Said Midoriya a little unsurely.

"Awesome!" cheered the black-haired boy with a sharp toothed smile. "Ok, here's my number, I'll call and let you know when we can hang out."

After exchanging number's, the two boys bid each other farewell and went their separate ways. Both smiling that they had made a new friend.

(Midoriya home)

"Hey mom I'm home!" called out Izuku to his mother as he entered.

Inko called back, "I'm in the kitchen sweety, I'm making Katsudon for dinner and invited Oliver over. He should be here any moment now."

As if summoned, Oliver entered wearing an expensive suit. He had just returned from a meeting with a group of investors who were interested in his business. The meeting had gone on for over an hour and Oliver felt drained and just wanted to relax. Kicking off his shoes, Oliver practically collapsed onto the coach with a tired groan.

"Oliver-sensei! Are you alright?" asked Izuku in alarm.

Oliver just waved him off, "I'm just a little tired, the meeting went on for longer than I thought it would."

Inko entered the living room to find her son and her best male friend looking dead on his feet.

"Oliver you look like you're about to collapse, maybe you should turn in early." Inko suggested.

"I can't do that Inko; you went through so much trouble to cook dinner for us all. I won't let that go to waste." Said Oliver and forced his tired body up and sat down at the dinner table.

Shaking her head at Oliver's stubbornness but also feeling happy at being appreciated, Inko returned to the kitchen to finish dinner, leaving her boys to themselves.

"Boys?!" She thought in alarm and stopped dead. Since when was Oliver included? "Oh, he's been included for a while now. Ever since he saved you and became a positive role model in your son's life." Her inner voice said and if it had a face would be grinning slyly right now. The voice then said, "But who could blame you for thinking so. He's great with Izuku and is helping him achieve his dream, he respects you and always lends a helping hand, he even helped you get back into shape after you began stress eating out of guilt, and not to mention is handsome as well."

Inko couldn't stop the smile from appearing on her as she listened to her inner voice talk about Oliver and the influence he had on her and her son. "And he's built like a Greek god with those solid abs, I bet he's also hung like a-

"EEP!"

*Crash!

"MOM/INKO!" Were the shouts of concern from Izuku and Oliver after they witnessed Inko suddenly turn a bright shade of red before fainting on the spot with a bloody nose and massive grin on her face.

A/N: I'm back everybody! Sorry if I made you wait but things have been crazy lately. I hope this chapter makes up for it.

So Izuku has made a new friend! Kirishima is one of my favorite characters and I can't wait to write more adventures with him and Izuku and who knows, a certain alien queen might make an appearance . Did you catch Aizawa's cameo in the flashback? I'll be attempting to use flashbacks like in the Arrow show to give explanations and what-not but won't use overuse them as it got really annoying in the show.

I really love writing Inko's pervy inner voice, it's going to awesome teasing material for someone to use. No spoilers!

Bakugo is really pissed right now but won't be for long, oh he'll still be the guy that screams 'DIE! DIE! DIE!' at everyone but it won't be at Izuku. That's right, Bakugo is going to be more supportive of Izuku and his dream to be a pro-hero and if you don't like it, then go and read another story where he's a massive asshole to Izuku for no reason. There are plenty of those around and I want to do something I've only seen few other authors do. The exact 'how' and 'why' Bakugo will be supporting Izuku will be explained later so please be patient and wait and see.

That's all for now, please like and review if you enjoy this story.

See you next time. Ja Ne!
