How I Caught the Chicken Pox
By: Ellivia22
Kyle
I rushed to the hospital, anger coursing through my veins. I couldn't believe that our parents tried to get us sick. Stan's already in the hospital because of it. What in the hell were they trying to do? Kill us?
I hurried to Stan's hospital room. Stan was sitting there writing something. I assumed it was that paper Mr. Garrison assigned us. "Stan! Stan!" I cried, rushing up to him.
"Shh. Wake her up and we're both dead." Stan said, pointing at Shelley.
I glanced briefly at his sister. Luckily she was still asleep. Poor Stan had to room with a sister who beat him up all the time. I glanced back at my best friend, who just put aside his essay. "Sorry, sorry." I said in a softer tone. I went back to addressing the issue at hand. "You know after we spent the night at Kenny's house and you and Cartman got sick with chicken pox?"
"Yeah."
"Dude our parents sent us over there to get us sick!"
He looked at me confused. "What are you talking about?"
"They knew staying at Kenny's would get us sick, and they made us do it anyway."
"They did?" he asked in a slightly angry voice.
I nodded. "Yeah. And I think I figured out why."
"Why?"
My voice lowered. "Because they're a bunch of assholes!"
Stan gasped in realization. "Of course!"
I grabbed his warm hand and pulled him off the bed. "Come on, dude. We've gotta get out of here. I don't know what they're planning next, but it can't be good."
We rushed out the hospital without anybody noticing. We decided to go to Cartman's house. We had to get back at our parents.
We hurried to Cartman's house in silent. Stan still looked really sick. I started to regret sneaking him out of the hospital. I mean, he could've died. What if his condition worsen? I didn't want to lose my best friend.
"Dammit this itches!" Stan complained, scratching his arms.
I stopped him. Worry started flowing through me. "Stan, maybe I should take you back to the hospital."
He shook his head. "Nah I'll be okay. I'd rather get revenge on my parents than go back there."
We started walking again, but slower. "It's just you almost died. What if I don't get you back in time and you do die? I can't lose you. You mean too much to me."
He smiled at me. "You can't get rid of me that easily. I'm your best friend, for better or worse."
I lowered my head. "That's not what I meant."
We stopped again. Something came over me. Not caring that we were on the sidewalk, I wrapped my arms around him and kissed him passionately. He let out a gasp of surprise, but instead of pushing me away, he pulled me closer and kissed me back. It was amazing. I never felt like this before. All I knew was I didn't want it to stop.
A moment later we pulled apart. I leaned in to kiss him again, but Stan stopped me. "Wait."
"What?" I asked. I hoped he wasn't having second thoughts.
"Kyle, you shouldn't kiss me. You'll catch the chicken pox."
I shrugged. "Oh well." We kissed again shortly, then headed to Cartman's house hand in hand. Sure I caught the chicken pox later that day, but I didn't care. Stan was finally mine.
The End
