"Sid?, Sid where are you?, SID! Gosh sometimes I wish I knew what's going on in that girl's mind, she was with me a few minutes ago and after talking to a squirrel she suddenly disappeared, if we are late for classes again they'll make us fight high level training dolls until we pass out"
Making her way through the Academy's yard the girl finally managed to spot a glimpse of her friend, who was currently sharing a very 'special' moment with a certain white haired fellow. Without thinking it further the girl rushed up to Sid and as soon as she got in a close range she decided to call her out.
"Sid thank the gods I found yo-"
Only to be quickly shocked at the affectionate display that was taking place in front of her. Taking notice of the new arrival Lincoln started to blush harder than before and in a swift movement he let go of Sid who at the time was simply comforting herself in his arms. After suddenly being let go off, Sid snapped back into reality and turned around to find her friend pointing at Lincoln with a dual set of pistols that she herself knew too well, this was bad.
"Y-You, who are you? And what do you think you are doing to Sid?" Yelled the girl while keeping the aim of her pistols steady.
"W-Wait, it's not what you think I swear, I wasn't doing anything bad we were just talking and eventually we just gave each other a hug…. okay that sounded better in my head "
"You think this is a joke!? Now speak up, these pistols are not for show you know? "
" Wait Ronnie Anne he's telling the truth, so put down the pistols please"
" You mean to tell me that you started talking to a random person you just met and you suddenly hugged them ?"
" Well umm... Yes?"
" *Sigh* That checks out, Sid you can't just go around doing stuff like that specially with an unknown pe- wait a minute did you just say it's a he, you mean that this person it's a guy !?"
"Yeah his name is Lincoln he just got here today"
" Sid I know you often say things that are hard for me to understand but that is just plain absurd and impossible, only recognized girls with a stigma can get inside this place, there's just no way for a guy who can't even awaken a stigma to make it inside this place"
"Well... about that, I think you should take a look at this, Lincoln would you mind showing her your you-know-what?"
"Umm, sure I guess? "
Raising his left palm slightly Lincoln gave Ronnie Anne a clear view of his stigma. As the mark decorated the front of the young boy's hand, the energy that emanated from it although a bit faint was a clear indicator that the stigma was in fact the real deal and not some sort of cheaply made tattoo.
"B-But how? The first thing that everyone knows about stigmas is that they can only develop on women yet how come you have it?"
"To be honest, I'm not sure either, even now it all still seems like a really weird dream to me "
"Well at least you should remember how your awakening happened right, Lincoln?"
"Awakening?"
"Yeah, the day you got your stigma you do remember it, right?"
"Umm... sort of, it's….. a really long story "
"Well as much as we would love to hear it, we don't have time, Sid we gotta go now, class is about to start and the teacher is going to kill us if we are late again"
"Oh no I can't do a session with the training dolls again, umm... sorry Lincoln but I have to go, see you later bye"
"Uh, okay bye Sid "
And with that, both girls rushed off at an incredible speed leaving only a cloud of dust and a slightly confused Lincoln behind.
"Well, I better be on my way too, I don't want late either "
Making quick haste, Lincoln made his way inside the Academy. As he walked through the corridors of the place he could feel the stares of the girls around locked onto him like snipers just hungry to take a shot. The feeling of dread or the sensation of being surrounded by girls who could literally turn him into dust in a matter of seconds was nothing new to Lincoln, after all he has been living all of his life with nine overpowered sisters, and the fact that his mother was not a stigma user meant that almost everyday any of them got into a fight it pretty much meant a life threatening situation and costly damages to the house or the neighborhood in general. Overtime Lincoln learned how to deal with those situations despite his limitations as a normal person and eventually managed to be able to quell most fights or arguments his sisters would have without getting mortally wounded... thankfully, compared to that, simple stares were a walk in the park for the white-haired boy. After walking through most of the building Lincoln finally managed to find the place he was looking for, the headmaster's office. When he was informed that he would be attending the Stigma Academy Lincoln was also told that this should be the first place he goes to, once he gets there, the headmaster will explain everything he'll need to know about his 'situation'. As he opened the door to the office Lincoln was met with an intense pressure that emanated from the back of the room where a figure was standing back while looking at the window.
"I've been expecting you, young Loud"
The pressure that exerted out of the figure that Lincoln could only assume was the headmaster of the Academy was terrifying, like being trapped inside a lion's den or accidentally getting caught eating some candy out of Lola's secret stash but somehow he could tell that those two things paled in comparison to the overwhelming force in front of him, so with an effort to keep his composure and not show much fear Lincoln answered back.
"Ummm, H-Hello Sir,I-I mean Miss, I-I mean Headmaster "
"Easy now, no need to be frightened young man you can call me principal Ramirez this is an academy after all"
" Y-Yes headma- I mean yes principal Ramirez *Sigh*"
"I've been informed of your 'singularity' this must not be easy for you after all, you are quite the peculiar case"
"You got no idea, I'm not even sure I'll fit in this place at all "
" Well young Loud although a boy awakening a stigma is something that even I would have labeled as nonsense a few days ago your sole existence came to prove that wrong, you've been given an amazing gift and I'm sure that like every young girl that comes here in hopes of learning what they are capable of, you will forge your own path leaving your name to be remembered just like your sisters have done in this academy "
Lincoln had completely forgotten that in this academy the name Loud resonated more than anything else, his sisters were bigshots after all. He remembered how after many hard-fought battles against revenants they would sometimes come home and share (or brag in Lynn's case ) about their experiences on the battlefield and how they would decimate hordes of revenants one after another in all sorts of ways, which both amazed and terrified Lincoln. If this academy had an elite group, his sisters were definitely part of it.
"You really think that I can do it?, principal Ramirez? "
"I'm certain of it young loud you just got to believe in yourself like your family does, after all weren't your sisters the ones who encouraged you to join this Academy in the first place?"
Lincoln took a moment to recall how his sisters pushed him into the idea of joining the Academy after he awakened his stigma. They all seem very eager, having their own reasons for wanting him to join but one thing that was in common with their intentions is that they all wanted for him to discover his potential but most importantly they wanted this chance to have their beloved brother close to them once again.
These memories brought a smile to Lincoln's face and with a determined look on his eyes he answered back.
"Yeah you're right principal Ramirez I got try at the very least after all I wouldn't like to disappoint the girls knowing they are putting their faith in me "
"That's the spirit young Loud with that attitude you will reach great heights, but first you must start from the basics. In this academy you'll learn all there's to know about stigmas as well as our fight against the revenants, so be prepared to face many trials here, public opinion begin one of them.
" Public opinion? "
"Let's just say that sadly not all of our girls will take a boy being here so kindly, so they might make a fuss about it, if you know what I mean "
"*gulp* I-I'll keep that in mind"
"Well, I believe that's all for now so you should head to your first class now but before you go, here take this"
"Hmm? What's this"
"Your uniform you'll need it to study here, it's been infused with protection runes and defense spells so is quite durable.
" Wow thanks principal Ramirez for... everything"
"Anytime young Loud now run along, you wouldn't like to be late for class on your first day would you?"
"Not at all Ma'am, I'll be going now"
As Lincoln made his way out of the office, a shadowy figure wearing a blue hoodie instantly appeared next to the headmaster.
"So, he's the one? Are you sure he holds power within him, principal Ramirez?"
"I'm not sure yet but his energy, his mana it was… unlike any I felt before so make sure you watch over him for now Nikki "
"As you command, headmaster"
