A/N: Well, this came out faster than I expected, but then again it's a bit short. So, yeah, apologies for that.

Midnight49: Ok Plot the Hollow was nice for chapter 1. Thanks for the support. Hopefully you'll enjoy his character even more later on in the story.

Chapter 11: Odd Future Part 2

Momo sat in her cell, waiting through the ticking hours. The lieutenant had been in that cell for only three hours but it felt like a lifetime.

The only light visible for her were two dimly lit torches that did little to alleviate the strain on her eyes.

Suddenly, the sounds of footsteps came clambering towards her cell door along with the light of a bright lamp.

"Ms. Hinamori, there appears to be a letter for you."

Momo looked up blearily in confusion as the guard slid the letter under the door.

She carefully unfolded the smooth paper and nearly dropped it in shock. It was from her Captain, Sosuke Aizen.

"Danny Phantom?!"

The ghost gave a deep rumbling laugh. "Close, but no. I guess you can call me his darker side."

The ghoul set his hands ablaze with green, ectoplasmic energy. "I'm his future self. Nice to meet you Toshiro Hitsugaya."

Toshiro glared at the man with furrowed brows. "That's not possible. One's future and present selves cannot coexist."

Dan grinned a toothy grin. "Believe what you want, Captain."

"What are you even doing here?"

The demon shrugged. "I'm bored and I had time to kill, so why not?"

Toshiro's jaw tightened. "Are you ghosts really so fickle as to come here and wage war against us due to boredom? May I remind you who won the last war?"

Dan rolled his eyes. "Relax, I'm not here on the will of the ghosts. I'm here on my own terms."

Toshiro's knuckles whitened as he gripped his blade, firmer. "Either way, you have attacked Soul Society's Central 46. Prepare to be apprehended."

"Hmm. We'll see."

Toshiro flash stepped in front of Dan and sliced at his head, only for him to duck.

The ghost aimed a blast at Toshiro's midsection, but the child Captain managed to, nimbly, sidestep it.

Dan charged at Toshiro and aimed a flurry of punches for his head that he easily dodged.

Toshiro managed to create some distance between the two with a sword swipe.

Dan grinned. "Can we stop these games? We should get serious."

Toshiro scowled. "Fine by me. Reign over the heavens, Hyōrinmaru!"

Dan smirked as the transformation completed. "So, round two, then?"

Toshiro raised his sword in a double handed grip. Water began to swirl around the blade and form into a watery dragon.

"Huh, that's interesting."

Toshiro slashed his sword at the ghost, only for it to face through it.

Toshiro scowled. 'This is pointless! He'll just phase through everything.'

Toshiro's eyes widened. How did he forget about that?

The snow-haired Captain took a small tube of liquid from his haori and drizzled it onto his blade.

Dan raised a brow. "Ah, do you have something to fight me with? If it's liquefied ecto-ranium, I've already seen it. Didn't really do the G.I.W. to much good, but whatever, go ahead."

Toshiro smirked as he returned the tube to hi. "Just you wait."

Toshiro flash stepped towards Dark Danny and aimed to stab straight through his abdomen.

Only for Dan to smirk as his stomach opened up with a hole.

"Ha! You might want to try a little bit harder, Shinigami. I'm sure you'll get it next ti-"

Dan's eyes widened as his hole shuddered and warped back into place.

He grunted in pain as he began to drop to the ground.

Dan glared at the Captain. "What did you do?!"

Toshiro glared back down at him. "What you thought to be liquefied ecto-ranium was just ordinary water."

Toshiro smirked down at the petals at the ghost's feet. "Those petals from my haori were the real attack."

Dan let out a pained laugh. "Blood Blossoms, you sneaky bastard."

Toshiro spread the Blood Blossoms around the ghost as he fought back the stinging pain. "Now, what exactly happened to the Central 46 members."

The Incarceration Chambers

"What do you mean 'she's gone'?!"

"I don't know I left for a second and then Momo was just gone!"

"Dude, we're gonna get demoted!"

The other shinigami held his face in his hands and let out a groan. "This sucks."

Dan gave a pained smirk. "Yeah, no. You're not getting anything out of me."

The ghost stretched out a hand as it lit with ectoplasmic energy. Toshiro's eyes widened.

'What kind of animal is he?! These Blood Blossoms should've been enough to incapacita-'

"Arrgh!"

Toshiro looked at Dark Danny, confusedly.

Suddenly, the ghost began to convulse as he writhed in even more pain. His hands flew to his head as his screams echoed through the room.

"No! I'm not letting you control me! I said no, dammnit!"

Toshiro scowled. "The hell are you talking about?"

Just then white inky blobs began to form and clump onto Dan's face until it was about halfway covered.

The blobs solidified into a white mask with a red spider web design extending outward from his eye.

Toshiro gave a start at the look in his eyes. They seemed even more deranged than before.

"Haha! It's so good to be out!"

Toshiro's eyes widened. 'A ghost with a hollow mask?! Just what is going on here?'

The possessed ghost looked around him. "So, he got himself stuck."

Dan shook his head. "That just won't do."

Dan pointed his finger at the blossoms as it began to spark with red light. "Cero!"

A huge explosion rocked the building, taking the blossoms with it. The light from the attack was bright and piercing.

Toshiro grunted as he pushed himself up from the rubble, stretching out his senses to find the evil ghost.

Toshiro slammed his fist into the ground as he realized his search was fruitless. The ghost most likely teleported away from the site.

"Damn gho-"

Toshiro snapped his head up and blocked a sword strike from above. His eyes widened as he realized the identity of his assailant.

Momo.

The lietenant landed and immediately started after the Captain. "Why would you do it, Hitsugaya-kun! Why, dammnit!"

After a slight falter, Toshiro stretched his hand forward fingers outstretched. "Bakudo Number 40: Ketsugō no Jūji!"

Momo's eyes widened as a multitude of glowing crosses fell towards her, freezing her completely.

Momo's watery eyes bore deep into Toshiro's. The betrayal so unmistakable on her face that Toshiro couldn't keep eye contact.

"Why did you kill Aizen? Why?"

Toshiro looked up at her, his eyes pleading. "I didn't kill him, Momo. I'll catch the people responsible, I swear."

Momo's eyes shifted into an emotion he couldn't recognize as she passed out and Toshiro dispelled his Shikai and Bakudo.

He caught her gently before she dropped and began the slow trudge back to the holding cells.

'This doesn't make any sense. A ghost shows up out of nowhere because he's bored and kills Central 46? I thought for sure Gin was behind this, but it may be possible that the ghost and Gin are working as a team. Or maybe the ghost really was alone. Either way, I must deliver this news to Captain-Commander Yamamoto.'

"Ack!"

Toshiro gasped as he gazed down to see a blade poking through his abdomen. He didn't have anytime to react as he felt a sharp blow to his head and he passed out

Gin and Kaname stood over the unresponsive bodies of the Captain and Lieutenant.

"These Reiatsu concealing cloaks are really handy, huh?"

Kaname didn't answer. He just simply stared down the fallen Shinigami.

"What do we do with him?" asked the cloaked eye smiling Captain.

"We'll have to bring him with us to make sure he doesn't mess up the plan."

The blind Captain scowled. "That ghost is more trouble than he's worth."

Gin grinned. "Don't worry about this. I'll go tell the Old Man that Danny Phantom blew Central 46 up."

"But how do we explain Toshiro?"

Gin stalked away from the Captain. "Sheesh ya worrywart. I told ya, don't worry about it."

Dani's eyes fluttered open. She blearily looked around the room for familiar surroundings.

Only to find nothing.

Dani shot upward, immediately alert.

"So, you're finally awake. We thought uou were gonna go full ghost on us."

The clone whipped her head towards the voice, immediately wincing from the effort. "Danny? Where are we?"

Danny grinned. "This is our base of operations. But we have to go soon, the execution could be happening any minute now."

Dani looked at Danny. "Is everyone here?"

Danny nodded. "Yup. If you need to be filled in on anything else, we can talk about it on the way, OK?"

Dani nodded, reluctantly. "But, uh, Danny? You felt what happened with Dan?"

Danny's face darkened. "Yeah, but we can deal with that after we save Rukia."

Dani smiled with a quick nod. "Right!"

Morning of the Execution

"What have your and Mayuri's division found?"

"The 12th division have found some heavy traces of ectoplasmic residue at the Central 46 headquarters. We haven't been able to locate Danny Phantom, but we believe he'll be coming to us."

Yamamoto nodded and dismissed Sui-Feng to stand alongside her fellow Captains.

"Are you sure about this, Captain?" asked Chojiro, Yamamoto's lieutenant. "There is something that feels off about all of this."

Yamamoto nodded, grimly. "I know. Toshiro's account of what had happened left me a bit troubled along with the death of Captain Aizen. However, this execution must be done. It was the final decree of the Central 46 and her actions were against the sacred laws of Soul Society."

Chojiro, reluctantly, nodded. "As you wish."

Yamamoto turned to face Rukia, who was currently flanked by a number of guards.

"Your request that the Ryoka be unharmed and safely returned will be honored."

Rukia smiled, sadly. "Thank you, Captain Commander."

Yamamoto looked on at the girl, stone-faced. "Release the Sokyoku!"

Three boxes rose up from the ground as her hands were magnetically drawn to two of the airborne boxes and the third box drew her feet together, holding her like a cross.

The onyx haired soul reaper was lifted up by the gravity defying boxes.

The Sokyoku erupted to life in a swirl of flame. The Phoenix-like angel of death was ready to claim a new victim.

"Do you have any last words?" asked Yamamoto.

Rukia looked down, eyes shimmering with emotion. "No, no I don't."

The Sokyoku was released as it soared towards Rukia. She braced in anticipation, silently crying for her lost life with Ichigo and the rest.

'Thank you, Ichigo.'

Rukia paused as her eyes squinted open in confusion. She should've been dead by now.

"Wh-what the. . ."

Ichigo was in front of her grimacing from holding back the power of the Sokyoku.

"I did tell you I wasn't gonna let you die, didn't I?"

With a swing of his sword, the firey zanpakuto combination was swatted away.

Soi-Foin gasped. "What the-?! He just knocked away the combined might of a million zanpakutos like it was nothing?!"

Kenpachi grinned with anticipation. "Just who is this guy?"

"Now for this," muttered Ichigo.

The substitute shinigami stabbed his blade into the surface holding Rukia.

Rukia's eyes widened as a glowing flame of Reiatsu enveloped the structure and it simply dissipated, leaving only Ichigo and the bewildered Rukia.

"Wh-why did you come back?!"

Ichigo scowled. "Oi. Are you deaf? I just told you I'm not letting you die."

Rukia stared up at Ichigo with tear-filled eyes. "Ichigo. . ."

Ichigo put Zangetsu in its place on his back and scooped Rukia up in his arms as she had gone limp. "Orihime, could you take Rukia, for me?"

The Captains turned their attention away from the strawberry Shinigami to see the oncoming crew of Ryoka.

He tossed Rukia gently over to the girl as she deftly caught the Shinigami in her arms.

"Now, Byakuya Kuchiki," started Ichigo as he grabbed Zangetsu from the ground. "We finish our fight."

Yamamoto scowled. "You may detain him, Captain Byakuya. Chojiro, bring back the prisoner."

Soi-Foin turned to her lieutenant. "Omaeda, follow him."

She turned to Isane. "You as well!"

All three lieutenants charged at Orihime as she froze with wide eyes.

Suddenly, the three lieutenants dropped unceremoniously to the ground. Out cold.

Yamamoto's eyes widened in shock. "What is the meaning of this?"

Shunsui and Ukitake stood, protectively, in front of Orihime while Kenpachi stood behind. Shunsui turned back to her with a small grin.

"We've got your back miss. Take Rukia and get as far away as you can."

Orihime nodded as she turned and sprinted away.

Ganju's eyes widened as he charged after her. "Hey, wait for me!"

Danny stepped forward from the group, glaring straight at Yamamoto. "Alright guys, let's give them hell!"

A/N: Well, this was fun. Next chapter should be a bit of battle royale. Again, apologies for the short chapter. I just felt like I needed to post something.

Please review, it helps a lot. Have a great and wonderful day.
