At the cafe on May 15, 1989

I can't believe we're getting married in only three days. Elizabeth said

And there is still so much to be done. Abigail said

Oh, we don't need to check off every last item on that list. Jack said

It'll still be a beautiful wedding. Elizabeth said

Well, some of these items aren't exactly optional. We still don't have a pastor. Abigail said

No word from Frank yet? Jack said

No. I wrote to him a few days ago, but I haven't heard back. I even sent a telegram to children's hospital in Santa Clarita, where he's been volunteering. He's been gone so long. I hope he's okay. Abigail said

And you miss him. Elizabeth said

I do. But not to worry, the wedding must go on, even if I have to perform the ceremony myself. Abigail said

You can do that? Elizabeth said

Well, as mayor of the town, I have the legal authority. Abigail said

Then we're covered. Jack said

But I have faith frank will be here. Elizabeth said

I hope you're right. Abigail said

Meanwhile at the jailhouse office

Sheriff? Have you seen Jack? Ned said

He's out something the matter? Bill said

I've got a telegram for him. Mountie headquarters. Is that going to affect the wedding? Ned said

No. Bill said

When are you gonna give it to him? Ned said

I'll see that he gets it. Bill said

Yes. Ned said

Meanwhile out in the country side on horseback

Whoa, sergeant! Jack said

Why are we stopping? Elizabeth said

I just thought of something. Jack said.

What is it? Mm. What was that for? Elizabeth said

I wanted to kiss miss Elizabeth Letcher... before she becomes Mrs. Jack Thorsten. Jack said

I can't wait. Elizabeth said

Later that morning at the school house

If seven multiplied by six equals forty-two, then what do we get when we multiply seven by seven? It appears something else had captured your attention today. Elizabeth said

Miss thatcher, when are you gonna start decorating in here for your wedding? Emily said

(Sighs resignedly) Tomorrow morning bright and early. Elizabeth said

Maybe we could help. Robert said

Oh, that's very generous, but do you really want to spend your Saturday at school? Elizabeth said

I meant today. We could start decorating right now. Robert said

Could we? Corey said

(Chuckles) Are you sure you'd rather decorate than study mathematics? Elizabeth said

Yeah! all the students said

(Laughs) All right. Well, since it's a special occasion, I'm willing to make an exception just this once. Elizabeth said

Yay! all the students said

Now, I'm going to need two groups- - one to start decorating the pews, and the older children can start taking down the school posters. Let's get started. Elizabeth said

Meanwhile at the dress apparel shop

I'm wondering if we shouldn't raise this just a little... Clara said

Clara, I think you're right. Elizabeth is, shall we say... quite modest. Rosemary said

It's such a beautiful design, Rosemary. Clara said

Oh, Clara! This has been a group effort between you, me, and Dottie, from start to finish. Rosemary said

Oh, thank goodness! Rosemary and Clara said

Wonderful! You got more silk. Rosemary said

It wasn't easy. Dottie said

Oh, what kind of heartless creature could possibly deny you the material necessary to finish a wedding dress? Rosemary said

Well, a creature who needs to make a living. Since we're so short on cash, I had to do a little bartering with our Bakersfield supplier. We owe him a bolt of cotton on our next visit. Dottie said

(Clara yelps) Jack! Oh! Rosemary said

Ladies... Lee said

You two should know better then to come in here without warning. Rosemary said

What is all the fuss? Lee said

The groom absolutely cannot see the bride's dress before it is on the bride, in the church at the wedding! Rosemary said

I don't know that. Jack said

Neither did I. Lee said

Oh. Men. Rosemary said

You must be her for the groomsmen suits. Dottie said

Well, I'm sorry, but they're not quite ready. Clara said

Clara has been working day and night on Elizabeth's wedding dress. It takes priority above all else. Rosemary said

So we're learning. Lee said

Any idea when they're gonna be done? Jack said

By tomorrow morning. Clara said

Okay, great. We should probably get going then Lee said

Well, unless you want us to stay. Jack said

Go! Dottie, Clara and Rosemary said

They want us to leave. Lee said

(The door open quieter than a mouse as well as close to.)

Jack, what are you doing here? Elizabeth said

Actually, we were just leaving. Jack said

Ladies, we'll leave you to it. Good luck. Lee said

That was too close! Dottie said

Jack almost saw your wedding dress. He didn't. Thank goodness. Rosemary said

I'm glad to hear it. Elizabeth said

But Elizabeth your fitting isn't for another hour or so. Rosemary said

I know, I gave the children a break from decorating, so I thought I'd stop by while I had the chance. Elizabeth said

Well, I'm sorry, but we aren't ready for your fitting. I need that extra hour. Rosemary

That's all right. I'd like to keep an eye on the children, though. Is there any way we can do the fitting at the school? Elizabeth said

Yes. I can make that work. We'll bring the dress to you. Rosemary said

Meanwhile outside the jailhouse

How long are you gone? Abigail said

A day, a day and a half, tops. There's a Mountie that needs help escorting a prisoner to Santa Clarita. Bill said

This is for Jack. Abigail said

Well, Jack's not gonna be escorting anybody but Elizabeth down the aisle. Bill said

Be careful, Bill. Abigail said

Afternoon. Hope I'm not interrupting anything. Jack said

No. Bill said

No, uh... just boring town business. Abigail said

Okay. Headed somewhere? Jack said

Just more boring town business. Bill said

Well, you lead quite the life. Jack said

Yeah, I'll be back in plenty of time for the wedding. Bill said

Well, you'd better, or I'm gonna come and hunt you down! Jack said

You got it. Bill said

(Honks the horn of city car) (honks twice more) Tom? Jack said

Hey , big brother! Tom said

Wow! I can't believe it! Jack said

Oh, you didn't think I'd really miss your wedding, did you? Tom said

Well, how did you know? I didn't have an address to wire you. Jack said

Yeah, business keeps me on the road, but Mom found me and she cabled me about your wedding. You know, if there's any way she could've traveled- - she'd have been here. Tom said

Is she gonna be okay? Jack said

She wrenched her back pretty bad being thrown off that horse. But you know mom she'd down, but never out. Tom said

Right. Well, I'm just glad to see you. This whole new you! Jack said

I represent a tire company. Let me tell you, the future's in rubber. Tom said

Wow, okay. I'm gonna buy you a drink. Actually, better yet, you buy me one. Jack said

Meanwhile at the mercantile

Hello. I'm here to buy some candy please. Three cents. I will have the red ones and the green ones. Emily said

I'm never lit candles for a wedding before, have you? Ruby said

How hard can it be? When it's time, we step forward and light the candles. Corey said

What if we do something wrong? Everybody's gonna be watching us. Ruby said

Maybe you should rehearse it, like we do for our school plays. Robert said

Rehearse where? Anna said

The school. The side door is usually open. Robert said

That's a good idea. Ruby said

Did miss thatcher give you a job for the wedding? Philip said

She sure did. I'm an usher. Robert said

What's an usher do? Philip said

I don't really know, but I bet it's important. Robert said

In The Woods far away out of town

Hello? Bill said

Identify yourself. A Mountie said

Sheriff Bill Avenue, from Valley spring . I'm here to escort your prisoner to jail. What's the problem? Bill said

No problem. Just being careful. This is joe yank. Ever heard of him? The Mountie said

Head of the Yanks Gang, out of waterston. Let's go. Bill said

Right now? The Mountie said

I want to get to Santa Clarita before nightfall. We leave now. Get him back Inside. Bill said

They're onto you! (shouting) (shots blasting) That fear on your face suits you, sheriff. Joe's yanks said

(Clicking) they cut the wire. Bill said (the old building they were in happen to have a telegraph machine)

(Exhales tensely) Now what? The Mountie said

Meanwhile in Valley Springoutside mercantile.

Thank you. (gasps) Rosemary! Julie said

Julie! Oh! Welcome! Oh! I'm so glad that you made it. Rosemary said

I wouldn't miss it. How is everything coming along? Julie said

Well, I can honestly say, I've never been so busy in my entire life, but it's a labor of love! On that note, I really need to run. Rosemary said

Oh- - Julie said

Meanwhile at the cafe

Okay, the hors d'œuvres are ready, now we move on to choice of entrées- - Chicken or prime rib, with sides of duchess potatoes, candied carrots, gratin of broccoli, and green beans almandine. Abigail said

That all sounds delicious, but do we really need that many sides? If we dropped a few, you might actually get to enjoy the reception. Elizabeth said

Well, ordinary, I'd argue with you, but I'm a little shorthanded. Bill was helping out, until he had to leave town on Mountie business. Abigail said

Why is Bill doing Mountie business, and not Jack? Elizabeth said

Well, there is always a possibility of danger. He didn't want jack to leave town just before the wedding. Abigail said

And he didn't want him to know. That's really kind of him. Elizabeth said

(Knocking at door) Hello! Julie said

(Gasping) Julie! (laughing) Elizabeth said

I here the whole town is at work, getting ready for your wedding. Good to see you, Abigail! Julie said

Good to see you, too, Julie. Elizabeth tells me your mother is still in London? Abigail said

Caring for our sister and her new baby. I'm not sure which one demands more attention. Julie said

(laughing) it's so sad they'll miss the ceremony. Elizabeth said

It is, but Father will be here tomorrow. So... how can I help? Julie said

Well, they could use help decorating the church. Abigail said

I'm on my way! Julie said

(Both sister chuckling) (door opens and shuts)

This is really happening! Elizabeth said

(Giggling) It is. Abigail said

In The Woods far away out of town

Lawmen! You hearing me? Hey! Lawman! Wade of the Yanks Gang said

They can here ya, Wade! They're just cowards! Joe said

I need to shut you up. Bill said

(Shots ringing out)

What are those? The Mountie said

This is why we can't wait for the patrol. We got to get out of here as soon as possible. Bill said

Meanwhile back in valley spring

So the curtains are going to be hung at every window, and then the flowers can be put at the end of every pew. Thank you, ladies. Julie said

Excuse me, miss. Do you know where I might put these c- - ? Julie. Tom said

Tom. I wondered if you'd be here. You look... different. Julie said

(laughs) Good "différent" or bad "différent"? Tom said

"Dignified" different. Julie said

Mm! Thank you. You look, um... happy. The last time I saw you, you weren't. Tom said

I needed to find my place in the world. And I have. I enrolled in art school. Julie said

Well, you always did have an artistic flare. Tom said

And you were always full of surprises. Julie said

(laughs) um... Tom said

So, did you bring a date for the wedding? Julie said

No. No. Tom said

Oh. Julie said

In The Woods far away out of town

(Trapdoor creaks) You know where this goes? Bill said

I didn't even know that was there. The Mountie said

We make our move after it turns dark. Bill said

Meanwhile back in Valley Springat the cafe

Thank you, for all your help, Carlson. Abigail said

You're welcome! I like being in the kitchen. Plus, you have an army of guests to feed. Carlson said

So, what do you think of the menu? Abigail said

Well, I think it's ambitious. You're pulling out all the stops. Carlson said

Well, it's a big day and I can hardly wait. Abigail said

(Door opens) Me either. Frank said

(Gasping) Frank! Abigail

Hi, Carlson. Frank said

Hey, frank. Welcome back. I'll give you two some time. Carlson said

Oh, thank you, Carlson. Oh, these are beautiful. I'm so glad you're here. I was worried when I didn't hear from you. Abigail said

I didn't write back because I didn't think a letter would arrive before I did, but nothing would keep me from Jack and Elizabeth's wedding. Frank said

They are gonna be thrilled when they find out. And Corey is gonna be so exciting to see you. Abigail said

I can't wait to see him, too. Frank said

Would you join us for dinner? Abigail said

Did you need to ask? Frank said

Oh, frank! Abigail said

In The Woods far away out of town just after dark in that day tournament tonight

All right. Now, Listen up. In two minutes, I want you to start shooting out of each one of these two windows, but I want you to aim for the treetops. Bill said

I got it. The Mountie said

(Shots ringing out) (gun fires) (shorts exchanging in distance)

Harry? You okay? Wade said

He's all tied up at the moment. Bill said

Meanwhile back in Valley Springon May 16 1989

I love our walks. It's so nice to have some alone time together. Elizabeth said

How're things going on your side of the aisle? Jack said

I couldn't ask for better matrons of honor. Abigail always knows what to say, and Rosemary... (laughing jack) ... well, she tests my limits, but I couldn't do it without her. Elizabeth said

I'm really happy Julie's here. Jack said

Tom too. It wouldn't be the same without at least some of our family here. Have you seen Bill yet this evening? Is he back? Elizabeth said

Back from where? He didn't tell me where he was going. Do you know? Jack said

There was some Mountie business out of town, and he went to take care of it for you. Elizabeth said

That was really nice of him. Jack said

Mm-hmm. Elizabeth said

Meanwhile at the church

Okay, everyone, so we're gonna rehearse this. So when opal and Philip walk in, that's when we light the candles. So, everyone in position. Begin. Corey said

Not so fast, opal. Go from the beginning. Anna said

Like this? Opal said

Just like that. Anna said

Is that one too tall for you? Corey said

No, I got it. Ruby said

Here, let me help you. (Crashing) oh, no. Corey said

Outside on the road

Everyone has gone above and beyond. Jack said

Mm. Doing what they can to make this wedding go off without a hitch. Elizabeth said

Here's to a smooth wedding. Jack said as all most kiss her

Help! Someone, help! The kids should

(Gasping Elizabeth) (Flames roaring) (A man yelled fire)

Is anyone inside? Jack said

Opal! Where's opal? Corey said

Are you all right? Elizabeth said

Yes? Philip said

Yes? Ruby said

We need to form a bucket chain for the pond to the church! Go back! Great more man, more buckets! Lee said

Are you okay? Elizabeth said

Yes? Corey, Anna, Robert said

Where's Mountie jack? Elizabeth said

He went inside to get opal. Anna said

Oh! No, no, no! Elizabeth! Wait! (Elizabeth panicking) No! It's too dangerous. No. Lee said

(Gasping) aw, Elizabeth said

Geez. Lee said

Here. Give her to me. I'll take her. Carlson said

Go. You should go with him. I'll stay here and help. Lee! Jack said

Okay. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Come on, everyone, hurry up! Lee said

The next morning in the infirmary

She was overcome by smoke, but... she'll be okay. I sent her parents home. You should go, too. Carlson said

Hi, miss thatcher. Opal said

Hi! How are you feeling? Elizabeth said

Okay. Did I miss the wedding? Opal said

No, sweetie. You didn't miss a thing. Elizabeth said

Do I still get to be your flower girl? Opal said

Let's just see how you're feeling, all right? But, for now... you've got to rest. Elizabeth said

I'm sorry miss thatcher. It was all my fault. Corey said

No, it wasn't it was my fault. Ruby said

It was an accident. Elizabeth said

We ruined everything, didn't we? Ruby said

No, you didn't. Really. You and Corey and the others- - you just... you cared about our wedding so much that you wanted it to be perfect. I understand that. Elizabeth said

Meanwhile at the church

How's opal? Jack said

She's gonna be fine. Elizabeth said

Thank God. Abigail said

There's a lot of damage. Jack said

My wedding dress... Elizabeth said

Oh... Abigail said

I'm so sorry. Rosemary said

(Sighs deeply Elizabeth)

Elizabeth... we can either postpone the wedding or we'll have the ceremony outside, with the clothes on our back. Jack said

No. We have a day and night. Abigail said

To do what? Rosemary said

To make everything right. Abigail said

We can't rebuild a wedding dress in a day. Dottie said

And a night. Abigail said

Well, it wouldn't be easy... Florence said

With all those decorations... Dottie said

Yes, but if we all pitch in... Rosemary said

Whatever we need for the dress, I'll donate from my shop. Dottie said

And whatever else we need, if my mercantile's got it, you can have it. Ned said

And the walls are still intact, pretty much. Lee said

A little elbow grease... Ned said

Yeah, a fresh coat of paint... Lee said

What are we waiting for? Abigail said

Abigail, it's just too much ask. Elizabeth said

No. You didn't ask. We're volunteering! Abigail said

A little late at the saloon

Oh, gentlemen. Thank you. The sawing machines can go right here. Abigail said

Okay, so I'll need you three on the sawing machines. Clara, you and I can cut. Rosemary said

next afternoon Elizabeth had never been more thankful to live in the small town of valley spring . It seemed like everyone had played a part in getting her and Jack to the altar. The town's woman decided to work hard to finish decorating the church early for the holidays in order to give the couple a picturesque setting for their special day. While Abigail kept busy in the cafe kitchen baking an impressive array of wedding treats and planning a luncheon fit for royalty.

Jack stood in the living room of the Elizabeth's row house the day before their wedding. He'd moved what little possessions he had into Elizabeth's and was now trying to decide what to do with them. He looked around one more time for the missing treasured. Elizabeth, have you seen my picture frame? Jack said

Of course, I placed it on the table with mine. Elizabeth said gestured to the table from the stairs.

(Sure enough, there sitting on the small table with all her pictures was his double frame. On the left was a picture of Jack's parents for when they were married on right was one of his favorite pictures of him and Elizabeth. Jack smiled, loving and appreciating the care Elizabeth was taking to make this they home.)

So we're looking at a few weeks? Elizabeth called back downstairs

Jack climbed halfway up stairs and stopped to continue the conversation.

Yeah, there's a chance you'll have to return without me. If the discussions aren't over by the time the new school term starts. Jack said

Already taken care of. Elizabeth said

Oh? Jack said

She appeared at the top of the stairs. Mmhmm, I asked Katie yost if she would fill in. She completely teaching college a little while ago. Elizabeth said

That's right. She's been here so long I'd forgotten. Jack said

I think she is concerned about leaving her father here alone. He's not as he once was and runs that store mostly by himself. Elizabeth said

Jack nodded

Elizabeth turned to head back to her room but stopped when she noticed jack not following. You already? Elizabeth said

Yeah, I'm just... jack said as his voice trailed off as he scratch his head seeming nervous.

Are you afraid to come up with me? Elizabeth teased

I'm a Mountie, Elizabeth. I'm not afraid of anything. Jack grinned.

Alright then, come with me so can talk as I pack. Elizabeth said

I think I should stay downstairs. Jack said

Jack Thorsten! (She laughed.) what's the matter with you? Elizabeth said

Nothing. That's your space up there. He twisted his fingers nervously.

Yes, but as of tomorrow it's your too. Elizabeth said

Trust me, I'm well aware of that fact. Jack said (as he bit his lip trying to hide his grin)

Then what's the problem? Elizabeth said shook her, trying to understand his hesitation.

There's no problem. It's just that that I'm very ready to be married. Jack said

I know, So am I, Elizabeth stated as if it was a matter of fact.

I don't think you understand my meaning. Jack said as he ckuckled bashfully at his at innocent bride to be.

Well then what do you mean? Elizabeth said As She stood at the top of the stairs, arms crossed, with a smile that made his heart skip.

Come here. Jack whispered "As Jack grinned up the stairs at her, he couldn't possibly love her more"

She lifted up her skirt slightly as she walked down the stairs to stand on the step just above him. His dimpled smile grew, her lips were at the perfect height for him.

What I meant was... I am ready... to be your... husband Jack said In deep low voice as he started to explain again as he wrapped his arms around her slender waist, giving her sweet tender kisses.

Before Elizabeth could question him again, his lips met hers with a passion; expressing his love and deep desire for her.

It was a kiss Elizabeth felt throughout her entire being. Her hand moved up his back, encouraging him deeper. Just as her knees began to go weak, jack nudged her back against the stairwell wall to steady them both

Now do you understand? Jack asked, pulling back enough to catch his breath.

She nodded, I think... I'll just meet you downstairs. Elizabeth said

I'll be there. Jack said "As they both giggled as they went their separate ways."

A little late Outside on the street of the cafe

Father! Elizabeth said

Hello, my dear! William said

Mm. (sighs shakily) Elizabeth said

What's happened? William said

Meanwhile at the church

So the wagon with the paint and surprise will be here soon. Ned said

Good, we're gonna need it. Jack said

Who's that? Ned said

That's my favorite father-in-law. Mr. Thatcher. Jack said

Hello, Jack. I just arrived. Elizabeth told me about the fire. William said

Everyone's working hard to get it repaired. Jack said

All these men? Must be costing a fortune. William said

Actually, they're volunteers. Jack said

Really? How industrious. William said

Well, we like to think of it as being neighborly. Jack said

Well... I'm not a neighbor. But I'm family, so let me help out. William said

Yes, sir. Jack said

Just up on that wall, please. Lee said (as more wood and surprise came in)

Some time later in the church

So, you, uh, got any jitters about tomorrow? Lee said (paint a window frame)

Not really. Okay, maybe a few. Jack said

(chuckles lee)

Well, if I'm completely honest, Lee... I'm shaking in my boots. (Laughs) Jack said

Of course you are! Just like I was right before I married Rosie. Lee said

No. No, you didn't seem like it! Jack said

Are you kidding me? I was a wreck! I was convinced that I was gonna mess up my vows and make a fool of myself. Lee said

But- - Jack said

Convinced! Lee said

...You didn't Jack said

No. And nether will you. Just gotta forget about the ceremony, forever about the guests, just think about your bride-to-be this is the day you finally become man and wife, forever. So, you say the vows, and you put the rings on each other's fingers, and that's it your done. Lee said

You're a good friend, Lee. Jack said

Yeah, I know. So are you, and you're gonna make a great husband to Elizabeth, in about 16 hours. Lee said

16 hours? Jack said

Meanwhile at the saloon

Here you go. For the bodies. Faith said

Oh... faith! Rosemary said

I tried to follow your design as best I could. Faith said

Oh, well, the attention to detail is... Well, it's stunning. Rosemary said

Guess it comes with being a nurse. Faith said

Some time later

Just what I was afraid of. There isn't enough lace left to make the whole dress over again. Clara said

(Mutters gibberish rosemary said)

Hmm? Clara said

What was that? Abigail said

Mm! Thank you. We can use my dress. My dress was lace. We can deconstruct my dress to make Elizabeth's. Rosemary said

That's a great idea. Abigail said

Hello! How's it all going? Elizabeth said

It's coming along great. It still needs work, but don't you worry. Rosemary said

You know, I have another dress I can wear. I don't want you all to exhaust yourselves trying to pull off a miracle. Elizabeth said

Well, lucky for you, we specialize in miracles. Dottie said

Elizabeth... Jack catches sight of you walking down the aisle, he's going to think he's in heaven. Now Scoot! Rosemary said

Oh... Elizabeth said

We have some work to do. Rosemary said

Next morning at Elizabeth house

(Knocking) father! Elizabeth said

Hello William said

Hello. This is home. Come on in. Elizabeth said

How are you holding up? William said

(Exhales) oh. Excited. Nervous. Elizabeth said

(Chuckles) Don't be. You're marrying a good man, and he's devoted to you. William said

You have no idea how long i've waited to hear that from you. Elizabeth said

Your mother... asked me to give this to you. William said

Oh... Elizabeth said

She wants you to wear this on your wedding day, just like she did on ours. I see so much of your mother in you. William said

I take that as the highest compliment. Elizabeth said

To both of you. William said

What is it? Elizabeth said

(laughs) I remember holding you as a little girl. When I'd get home you would run up to me and throw your little arms around me and hold me tight. That's about as good as it gets for a father. But now... you're a grown woman, moving on. William said

Oh, father. I may be grown, but I will always be your little girl. Elizabeth said

A little later at the café

Clara is putting the finishing touches on your dress right now. Rosemary said

I can't believe I'm about to be a married woman. Elizabeth said

The day has finally arrived. Abigail said

And we're here to give you all the wedded-bliss advice you'll need. Rosemary said

Which is pretty simple, really. It's all about love, kindness, and devotion. Abigail said

And honesty with your husband. Lee and I always talk about everything that's on our minds. I do most of the talking, but Lee is an excellent listener. Most of the time. Rosemary said

And it's okay if you and jack disagree. You don't have to have the same opinion about everything. Abigail said

And it's okay to make mistakes. Lee makes most of them, but I always forgive him, because nobody's perfect. Rosemary said

Nobody. Elizabeth said

Even me. Occasionally. Rosemary said

(All laughing) But most of all, Elizabeth, as a married couple, you'll be sharing your lives together, which means sharing your heart. Abigail said

Love conquers all. Truly. Rosemary said

I just love you both so much. Elizabeth said

We love you, too. Well, we better get started on your hair. Abigail said

Meanwhile at the jailhouse

(Sighs Jack)

What's wrong? Tom said

Bill's gone out of town on Mountie business. He's not back yet. Hope he's okay. Jack said

I'm sure he just got delayed. You've got a wedding to focus on. Tom said

Right. How do I look? Jack said

Dad'd be so proud of you. Tom said

I hope so. Jack said

You're a Mountie, just like him. And... you found a great woman to spend the rest of your life with. Tom said

He would've been proud of you, too, Tom. You're gonna be a captain of industry. Jack said

(Both chuckling) about time to go? Tom said

Yeah. The rings. Jack said

What about them? Tom said

I gave them to bill. Jack said

Some time later at the church ️

Something must've happened. Jack said

I'm sure he's just delayed. Lee said

What are we gonna do? Tom said

(sighing) I don't know. (Inhales sharply) I have an idea. I'll be right back. Lee said

Meanwhile at the cafe

I need my basket of petals. Opal said

I'll give it to you in the church just before we start down the aisle. Julie said

Miss thatcher? Philip said

Just a moment, Philip. Corey, Ruby, you can go now, but no lighting candles until we say it's okay. Go. Usher, people will be arriving soon. Go take your places in the church and show them to their seats. Timmy, do you have your sheet music for the wedding march? Julie said

Right here. Timmy said

Go ahead. Julie said

Miss thatcher. Philip said

Oh, yes, Philip. What is it? Julie said

Where are the rings? Philip said

Where are the rings? Julie said as Rosemary walks in from the kitchen In the café

Rosie, quick! I need your wedding band. Lee said as he opens the café door

What? Why? Rosemary said

Bill hasn't shown up with the rings yet, so Jack and Elizabeth need to borrow ours. Lee said

Hey! Bill said as he came through the open door that Lee left open

Where have you been? Lee said

Looking for these? Bill said

Yes! Yes. Here you go. Lee said

Thank you. Julie said

Your suit is in the jail. Hurry up. Lee said

Well, I guess I'd better go change! Word has it there's a wedding. Ladies. Bill said

Oh! Aren't weddings exciting? You two look lovely. Rosemary said

Thank you. Philip, Opel said

There... something blue. Julie said

Meanwhile at the church ️

You okay? Lee said

Gentlemen, I have it on good authority that the bride has arrived. Frank said

(Lee exhales deeply)

Glad you could make it! Jack said

You and me both. Bill said

Here. This is for you. Lee said

Thanks. Bill said

What is that smell? Lee said

It's a root cellar. Don't ask. Bill said

Ok. Lee said

We're five minutes behind schedule. William said

It's fine. Fashionable late. Rosemary said

She's here. Abigail said

When the curtains open, you start down the aisle. Julie said

(Begins playing "the wedding march")

Friends... we're gathered here today to witness the joining of this man and this woman in holy matrimony. For everything, there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven. Love is patient, love is kind. Frank said

Elizabeth... I choose you and no other. Your happiness is the only question I want to spend my life answering. Your heart is the only flame I will endeavor to keep alight. Before you said "yes" to marrying me, I was already your in every way. So I marry you today without hesitation or doubt. I'm committed to you... absolutely. I love you with everything that I am. Forever. Jack said

Jack... I never expected to find love when I came to Spring valley. But, somewhere along the way, without even realizing it was happening, you become the most important person in my life. You're my shoulder to cry on my favorite to dream with... and my greatest surprise. I'd offer you my heart, but... the truth is, you've had it for quite some time now. So, instead... I'm going to give you my soul. I love you, Jack Thorsten... From chalk dust to eternity. I'm yours. Elizabeth said

We're ready for the rings. Frank said

I'll keep this short. Jack... you fight the good fight, my friend. You protect the community. You deserve the very best. Luckily, you found it in Elizabeth. To the bride and the groom... May they always be as happy as they are today. Bill said

(Overlapping) : Hear, hear ! (Spoon clinking on glass)

I would like to just say a few words. I've had the great honor of watching this romance blossom into a love story. And the sparks were certainly flying when Jack Thorsten and Elizabeth Letcher first laid eyes on each other. (All laughter) There was no denying that something special was unfolding before my eyes. Love. A love that doesn't come along every day. A love that... Is undeniable. A love that can't be broken... And that will endure. A love that lifetimes are built upon. To Mr. And Mrs. Thorsten... May God bless you and keep you. Congratulations to the newlyweds. Abigail said

Oh, Elizabeth! I think it's time for the bride and her father to have their first dance. Abigail said

Thank you. I remember when we'd dance with your feet on top of mine. William said

I don't think you'd want me to do that now. Elizabeth said

May I? Finally. Jack said

Finally. Elizabeth said

Would you care to have this dance? Carlson said
