Thank you to FizUQ, Danie and kawaiiecho312 for reviewing! Yes, life does work in mysterious ways sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. You can pick whichever one you think it is. Here is the next chapter so I hope you enjoy!

The small family sat at the dinner table in silence as usual. The patriarch, Mr. Riccio sat beside Mrs. Riccio across from their children, Calen and Candia. Their guest, nicknamed Rus by Mr. Riccio, sat at one head of the table with Dia and Mrs. Riccio on either side. Despite having eaten with the Riccio family multiple times in the past, Rus couldn't help but feel tense at the heavy and dark auras being exuded by the two teenagers. He turned to his friend and found that he wasn't alone in feeling this way.

"Calen. Candia." The father eyed his children with a slight glare, "What have I said about bringing your fights to the dinner table? Need I remind you again that Uncle Rus is here with us."

Dia only smiled innocently as she twirled pasta onto her three-pronged fork. "Hm? But we didn't fight at all." She sang as she turned to Calen whose hand twitched, resisting the urge to punch her with a tonfa.

"In fact." She said as she leaned closer to her brother, "We recently just bonded. Didn't we?"

Calen glared as Dia gave him a sickening grin.

Mrs. Riccio raised a brow, halfway from eating another forkful of pasta. "Those injuries only say otherwise." She said.

Rus turned his attention more closely towards the teens. He noted that they had more bruises than usual. He frowned. Some of their wounds and bruises were not from using their self-defense techniques.

"Truly." Mr. Riccio nodded, "You both look like you tried to kill each other."

"And obviously, we failed." was Calen's disappointed reply.

"Calen!" His father hissed. The older sibling only shrugged while Dia kept smiling, as if her brother didn't just admit to attempting to kill his own sister.

"Kufufu…" She snickered quietly to herself but loud enough for Calen and Rus to hear.

The guest widened his eyes and whipped his head up from his food towards the children once more. Could it be...

"Tch. Annoying." Calen muttered.

"Do you have a problem with my laugh, little birdy?" Dia frowned.

"It's a fucking giggle."

Random Fact #3

Equus ferus is a species of Equus (horse) from the family Equidae.

When asked about the Cloud and the Mist Guardians, Tsuna only sighed. When they entered his office, it looked like World War 4 had taken place. (It still baffled him how Tsuna's guardians accidentally started World War 3 but we don't talk about that.)

It concerned him how Tsuna didn't even blink or react much to the warzone that was his office. The brunette casually walked towards Kyoya and Mukuro who were at a stalemate, trying to push each other with their weapons. With a single look, both guardians reluctantly stopped their battle. However, their eyes promised death towards the other the next time they fought.

He followed after Tsuna, eyeing the two guardians warily before smiling. Tsuna had come so far as a boss.

"Kufufufu…" Mukuro said as he patted down his suit.

"Tch. Annoying." The Mist eyed Kyoya who put down his report onto the still intact mahogany desk.

"Do you have a problem with my laugh, little birdy?"

"It's a fucking giggle."

A brow twitched and his hand itched to materialize his trident once more, "Need I remind you that people - "

"- shiver in fear when they hear my laugh?" Dia said with pride.

Calen scoffed, "It just shows how herbivorous they are if a mere giggle can make them shit their pants."

"It's a giggle from having travelled to six hells."

Calen smirked, "Oh, so you admit it."

A brow twitched, "Look here-"

Rus looked back and forth between them. His eyes travelled to a bruise on Dia's arm. It looked like it came from a tonfa. He inwardly shivered, having been on the receiving end of tonfa-related attacks for many years.

At least in a previous life.

He met the eyes of Mr. Riccio and Mrs. Riccio who looked at him apologetically. He smiled in reassurance. This dinner turned out to be more interesting than he had thought. If he was right in his guesses, then he has more reason to pity his friend.

Wait. If Calen was Kyoya and Candia was Mukuro...

That meant that they were siblings. Bonded by blood.

Living under the same house.

Rus barked out in laughter. "THAT'S HILARIOUS! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Rus?" asked Mr. Riccio warily. Mrs. Riccio raised a brow.

Calen and Dia turned to their uncle, momentarily pausing their argument. The man laughed for a full minute before finally gasping for breath and wiping a stray tear from his eye. He peeked through his fingers, glancing at the two with a gleam in his eye.

"Sorry Ritchie," He said, calling Mr. Riccio by his nickname. "I was just thinking of something."

"Please, do share." Mr. Riccio complied eagerly. If it distracts his children then he would take any chance to do so.

"I was just reading up on some history books yesterday and found the events of World War 3 very peculiar." Rus smirked as Calen and Dia tensed. It wouldn't hurt to play with them a little bit.

Actually, it would if they found out who he used to be.

But did Rus care?

Not really.

Dino did though.

Rus cleared his throat, shaking away any anxious thoughts. "To think that that war started as an accident. I mean, who accidentally destroys the White House?" He shook his head in (mock) disbelief.

"Well, it's not surprising considering one of them was a Hibari." Mrs. Riccio commented. The Hibari line had already long gone extinct with time. Despite it, their infamous deeds of destruction were well remembered and well documented in history books.

Calen remained quiet as he took another bite from his pasta.

As the adults continued to speak about the damned third World War and how absolutely ridiculous it was, Calen and Dia felt more exasperated than annoyed. They have heard this way too many times -as Kyoya and Mukuro respectively - that they both learned to let the rambling go through one ear and out the other.

As they spoke, Dia stuck a finger in her ear to clear it from any imaginary wax, showing her disinterest in the subject. From the corner of her eye, she could see the hint of a snicker on Rus' face which was unusual on her usually well-mannered uncle.

She raised a brow. Dia then felt an elbow nudge to her side.

A vein popped, "Birdy, what do yo-"

Calen discreetly pointed at Rus' side by his belt. Following the direction of his finger, Dia was very pleasantly surprised to see a familiar whip hanging on Rus' pants.

.

.

.

So that's how it is.

Dia smirked.

"Kufufufu… Calen, do you know what we'll be biting to death later?" She asked loudly that the attention was back on the two teens curiously. Rus simply looked confused.

Calen and Dia looked at Rus with a murderous and sadistic glint in their eyes.

"Horse meat." He replied.

Rus paled.
