Long time no see! I hope everyone is doing well. I'm a little bit rusty but here's a new chapter for everyone! I hope you enjoy :)

"You know I didn't think you would say yes."

"I was forced into this."

Dia held back the urge to laugh aloud as she watched her brother standing stiff as his fellow seniors from a different class took his body measurements. She knew if she let out even a single "ku," she would cause an uproar with an enraged brother and his bloodthirsty tonfas. It was that time of the year where at the end of the semester, at the cusp of winter break would the school have their winter festival. There would always be a theatre production featuring students of a certain year. This year it was the seniors at their high school and it just so happened that Calen's class were chosen to cover the actual acting and performance part of the theatre.

"What is the play about this year? Something modern, Classic Broadway or Shakespeare? " Dia asked. Calen shrugged his shoulders, uncaring.

"You don't know?"

"The committee really wanted to do a classic Broadway production. Something from the 2010s but our class head - rightly so - argued that there was no way she could get our class to do a triple threat type of performance with acting, singing and dancing." chimed in Oen, now in his costume as he walked towards their group. The young Riccio raised an eyebrow at his costume. He wore a simple suit

"So instead…" He continued, "We decided on doing a play on a popular myth."

"Which is…"

"I don't think you'll cover it until your senior year but it's about the Vongola and their claim about going to the future to save the multiverse or some sort like that." Oen said simply.

Dia tensed and gave a side-glance towards Calen whose eyes, if one were to look closely, widened by a fraction. He stepped off the platform he was on to stand beside his sister, in front of Oen. They shared a look.

'Don't tell me you didn't even know what kind of play you were taking part in.' Dia nonverbally signaled.

'Do I look like the type to care about such trivial things?'

She crossed her arms.

"Ah, I've heard of that one." She replied.

"Who hasn't? I'm not one for conspiracy theories but while I'm fairly certain multiverses and time-travel don't exist, according to some history books, a cellphone dated to have been created in 2050 was discovered in 2040…"

'That damn cow.' Both siblings thought.

"... and there were odd artifacts found at the Millefiore mansion many years ago. Also packages of sweets that have never been manufactured." Oen finished.

"Kufufufu… Leave it to Byakuran to leave traces of his marshmallow addiction." Dia said exasperatedly.

"Who?"

"Ms. Candia! You're not skipping out on poster work again!"

Dia twitched as she hid behind Calen. Her brother and Oen turned towards their classroom door where an annoyed Draco Komo stood. Calen peered behind him at Dia before smirking and stepping aside.

"The little brat is right here." He called out. Dia gave a dark threatening smile at Calen and he could see her hand about to grab her trident - from where? In the same place where Kyoya keeps his tonfas - and Calen smirked, ready to grab his own weapons.

"You bastard."

"You should be back in your classroom working on your stupid booth." Calen replied.

"Those peasants will do fine without my presence. I'd rather grace your class with it instead."

"You mean, taint you little invertebrate." Calen brought out his tonfas.

"Abso-fucking-lutely." Dia grinned and summoned her own trident.

The entire class braced themselves for chaos. They've only heard of rumours of the destruction that the two Riccio siblings could create. They were popular after all for being the children of the owners of the famous self-defence gym in the city. Most wondered what happened to them in the past few months. The Riccio siblings normally ignored each other at school but recently, they have been seen interacting more and hence, got into more fights with each other. Both the normally quiet Calen, and the unapproachable Candia had become more violent.

They weren't even supposed to bring weapons to school. They didn't know that they had weapons!

They're definitely toys.

Definitely.

Just before the first clang could be heard, the door opened once more and a small voice called out.

"Kyoya-kun! Mukuro-kun!"

Almost immediately, Calen and Dia paused and put away their weapons. Dia felt a small body press against her leg. She looked down and her face softened. She smiled, "Maman?"

"We have recess, you see. So Mom and I came to your school!" Lass said happily though Dia and Calen couldn't miss the slight scolding glare in her eyes. It was the same look that she gave the Guardians whenever she disapproved of their behaviour. Particularly violent behaviour. Even before entering the room, she already knew to stop what was about to happen. While she didn't have Hyper Intuition, the mother's intuition that she had back when Lass was still Nana was still strong. Dia knelt down to pick her up as most of the men in the classroom felt their heart squeeze from the image of a motherly Dia. Everyone else sighed in relief and returned back to their work though they wondered who the child was to stop the two Riccio siblings in their tracks.

"What are you doing here?"

"When I told her that your school was doing a winter festival, she insisted we came here during recess." Thera said, making herself known. The kindergarten teacher noticed the two Komo siblings.

"Your sister is back in the building. She's preferred to play with her other friends than visit." She answered their silent question.

"So? I heard you are doing a play!" Lass said, turning to Calen who nodded.

"Ah Maman. I don't know if you'll be allowed to watch. There might be some depictions of action after all." Dia said. Lass tilted her head in confusion.

"It's about the… myth when the Vongola went to the future." Calen replied. The young child's eyes widened before she deflated.

"... Oh."

She had heard the stories from Tsuna about his trip to the future when he was 14 years old. She had heard about it 10 years after it had happened when Tsuna finally decided to tell her all about the mafia business. When she had decided to finally believe what he had told her, she became very upset that in what was to her a few hours of not seeing Tsuna, were weeks of life-threatening situations for her son.

"I want to see it."

"If it depicts any kind of violence then absolutely not." Thera said as she stepped forward. Lass frowned and shifted in Dia's arms to face Thera.

"You don't understand. I want to see it!" She said once more but Thera was stern.

"No."

The two continued their exchange back and forth, neither losing ground. Calen and Dia decided to stay quiet. They knew that while Nana was mature enough to handle a high school theatre production that featured some violence (though Kyoya and Mukuro would consider it child's play), Lass was indeed too young.

As if to prove their point, Lass started crying in Dia's arms who instinctively started rocking her. Thera remained stern but Calen could see the affection in her red eyes. At least, it was very carefully hidden. Dia, Thera and Lass stepped outside where there was less of a commotion followed by Draco who had come to the classroom initially to drag Dia back. It seemed like he still wasn't giving up. Calen knew Dia and Mukuro enough that the bastard would use the current situation of Lass crying to escape her responsibilities.

What an absolute invertebrate.

Calen sighed inaudibly in relief that there were less herbivores crowding around him. He glared at Oen before the odd transfer student could make conversation again. The classmate stepped back with his hands up in surrender and took no offense, having gotten used to Calen's cold behavior. Oen left him to search for Calen's best friend.

Calen went to his desk and sat down. He pulled out the script that he had been given and flipped through the pages for the first time. He would go to a secluded place however with all the preparation going on, he knew that there was not a solitary place anywhere in the school. He's searched for them in all his years there after all, though it was in vain. Luckily, everyone knew to stay out of his way though he wished he could say the same regarding Dia, his (reluctant) best friend and Oen.

He returned to the prologue and read through the different lines. It turned out he had not been given an important role though his character, named Elias appears in much of the scenes as a Millefiore subordinate.

Disgusting. He would never be subordinate to anybody.

At least not to most people.

Calen turned a page.

He wondered how he or more specifically Kyoya would react. Elias was a character who was present at Future Tsuna's death when Byakuran shot him. Due to Tsuna saving the parallel universes, that future where Future Tsuna shared his risky plan to Future Kyoya and Shoichi become a separate timeline hence Kyoya never really lived that moment. He was given that alternate timeline's memories though as a reminder of what should never happen ever again. So technically, he had witnessed Tsuna's death twice.

Twice.

Calen clenched a fist though his face remained calm. Calen, after all, was more patient than Kyoya. With the production set in this story, the school shouldn't expect smooth sailing. Calen sat back and yawned. He decided he could try once more finding another place where he could be alone and take a nap. He had memorized his very few lines anyway.

Lass and Thera returned to the daycare just before recess ended. Some students decided to give Lass a box filled with props that have never been used for a long time to which Thera reluctantly accepted after some pleading from Lass. At the end of the day, Lass waited for her mother to finish her paperwork as she played with all the different props that she was given. She put on different hats and outfits in front of the mirror, playing as a certain character with each costume change. Finally, Lass noticed Thera give a stretch backwards from her desk. Looking at herself in the mirror, she smiled. She crittered around the table. Thera raised an amused brow, watching her. She seemed to be playing as a little raccoon animal with her ears and tail from the prop box.

She smiled slightly, "What are you doing?"

Lass finally stopped beside Thera's thigh and cutely grasped the edge of her mother's shirt. "Kyun!" She said.

"... k-kyun?" Thera gave a rare chuckle, "Is that what a raccoon is supposed to sound like?"

Lass blinked. She remembered that that sound was what the Japanese usually attributed to a raccoon. She didn't know what it would be in Italian. The little girl looked up at Thera.

"What is it supposed to sound like then?" She asked. Thera thought for a moment before shrugging.

"Ah… I wouldn't know."

"Then 'kyun' it is!" Thera nodded.

"'Kyun' it is… Alright, pack up. Let's go home." Thera grabbed her papers and put them in her bag while Lass put away all of the props that she left on the floor. Just as she was about to close the lid, Thera noticed the tail still strapped to her back. She knelt down and placed a hand on Lass' shoulder.

She gently grabbed the raccoon tail.

And Thera collapsed.

"Mom?!"

Hohohohoho I wonder what happened? Any guesses? Also, I'm thinking of doing a side-story featuring one of the following characters (their reincarnation). They may or may not have been awakened so it will focus more on their current lives. I can also do a backstory to one of our already introduced characters as well. Let me know whose side-story/backstory you would want to see the most!

- Hayato

- Takeshi

- Lambo

- Ryohei

- Chrome

- Fran

- Enma

or backstories on:

- Calen

- Dia

- Rus

- Arias

- Thera

- Lass

- Taur

- Calen's best friend
