A very short Eyes x Kanone one-shot. Set before the time Kanone left. Can be applied to both anime and manga.
On with the story.
Kanone did not know how to play the piano. Not really.
Still, once in a while, he would join Eyes during practice, slender fingers, untrained, untamed, eyes closed, pressing random keys, guided only by the soul.
And even though the sounds were occasionally pleasing to the ear, Kanone was, in every respect, an amateur who had a long way to go.
But soon enough all boundaries of time and sense would be blurred. Eyes could never really understand when the other blade child would stop playing the piano and start playing with him instead.
And during these duets, Kanone would be perfection, suddenly transforming into a master musician who knew his piece to the core.
Expert fingers would glide over all the right keys, hitting all the right notes.
And Eyes, trembling on the floor, pale body devoid of clothing, washed in moonlight, glowing ethereally, short on breath, high on everything else, cheeks flushed, lips parted, hands pinned, the older musician's shadow looming over him, flesh warm and by now, slightly moist, as the older boy would continue to play him, lovely throaty sounds uttered against his will, as helpless as a piano key being relentlessly pressed again and again, writhing, body limp in the other's arms, unable to protest, limbs nearly numb, platinum hair damp, biting into his lower lip, would often wonder, if Kanone was playing a previous perfect composition, or was it something that had happened spontaneously, on the spot, composed at the very moment it was being played. He could never tell the difference.
Not that it mattered.
Because the songs would always be similar, starting on soft, hushed notes, slipping into a much higher pitch near the climax, before quietly fading away, leaving memories that would linger.
The songs were similar and the player as well as the instrument would be the same every time. But there was never a dull moment, even if they played the same song over and over again.
Eyes and Kanone could always make beautiful music together.
a/n: I wrote this one for fun. I hope you had fun reading it! I hope it was not too confusing to read, but English is not my first language and I tend to mess up a bit on the grammatical front.
