Hey guys I'm sorry for a long wait. I'm really struggling with some ideas for this story. Anyways Happy Grey's Day! Thanks for reading!
Eventually Callie decided to give in to write Arizona back. She figured there could be no harm in just exchanging letters with someone million of miles away literally across a whole ocean from her. But boy was she wrong. Callie didn't want to admit it but she was falling for the blonde. Even through the letters they exchanged, there was just something about Arizona that was so captivating. Callie could just feel her heart going more and more towards Arizona with each letter she received from her. They were slowly getting to know each other little by little with each letter. Soon enough six months were coming up of them sending letters to one another.
Callie had her guard up. She couldn't lie she was tired of getting hurt and getting her hopes up. She was drawn to the blonde and she wanted to keep talking to her and getting to know her. But Arizona was overseas she was deployed how could this even possibly work. So Callie refused to even give a relationship a thought and just tried her best to keep Arizona at a distance even though that was proving to be rather difficult.
Arizona on the other hand was pretty much the opposite. She would give her heart to any and everybody and didn't care about getting hurt in the process. After everything she seen overseas, she knew the world needed more love and if she could help just a little bit she was going to do that. For a solider and someone who been in the Marines and seen some gruesome things she still managed to be a bubbly, loving, and caring person. She loved flirting with Callie and knowing she was putting a smile on her face. Getting her to smile and laugh she would do anything for that girl. Since it had been six months of sending letters to each other, Arizona was coming up on some leave time. She was planning on surprising the Latina in Miami. It worked out even better now that her mom was permanently living there she could see both of them during this time.
Dear Calliope,
Obviously I still haven't came up with a good greeting so still using the dear back from 1950 something. You think after all this time I would have uped my game a bit and figured something out. Anyway so hopefully with the way the time frames been going this letter will arrive to you just in time. So just in case on November 15 I need you to go down to the our beach at 8:00pm and not a minute sooner! lol and yes I know it's kind of chilly and kind of winter time but it's Florida so just deal with it. It'll be hot anyway. Don't try to ruin the surprise just show up.
With Love,
Arizona
When Callie got the letter she was definitely surprised and curious. What could Arizona possibly be up too? But she couldn't help but have a little smirk on her face because even through the letters she noticed when the blonde was nervous about something she would ramble. The letter came a day before she was suppose to meet Arizona. Now she was just going to have to try to keep her anxiety in check until it was time. She decided she would spend the day shopping. She might as well look nice right? And at least it would keep her mind a little occupied. Unsure of what this surprise and since it was still hot. It was pretty much never cold there. Callie settled on getting a new bathing suit and matching cover up that pretty much looked like a nice dress with some new sandals.
The next day came quickly but the time during the day was going by soooo slow. It was dragging. Eight o'clock couldn't come soon enough for Callie. To say she was nervous was an understatement. She took alot longer getting ready. Putting on her new black and gold bathing suit, it lifted up her boobs just enough to show them off and just the right amount of her butt was hanging out, just enough to catch someone eyes and make them look. Putting on her cover up that was solid black, it was spaghetti strap and flowy but it looked like a nice dress. Next were her sandals that were gold and fit the outfit nicely. She left her hair down, having it long and a natural wave to it. She put on light makeup just enough to bring out her eyes and natural features. Taking a look at the mirror she was hot and she was ready for tonight whatever it may be. Taking a deep breath and steading herself she was ready to go and find out what this was.
Arizona was a nervous wreck. She had been on a plane for almost a whole day now and still she was cutting it close to have everything ready in time for Callie. She didn't have time to change or really wanted to worry about so she stayed in her marine's uniform. Hopping off the plane she headed straight to the beach. She got as close to the water as possible an lit some candles and placed them in a shape of a heart. Inside the heart she filled it with rose petals, standing inside the middle of the heart she took a deep breath and waited for Callie to come. She should be here any minute now.
