Notes: This is a rewrite of season 3 and each story will be noted with S3E1-13. Some characters will show up, others will not.
A few more things to note:
1. Thank you all for your support! This version of season 3 would not have been possible without a helping hand from you, and from MountainCat who helped me edit, brought up great ideas, and coached me along! She deserves a round of applause for this! This was a lot of work and a lot of reading! We started this project about a year ago… what a ride it has been!
2. WARNING: If you're a fan of Milady de Winter, or love the idea that Athos and Milady run off together in the end… skip episode 2 and 3 (just do it, save yourself some grief). I never was a fan. She was a great villain. I was not a fan of the character she became in season two and season three. I really wish they had developed the villain in her more… she was a good one.
3. WARNING: There will be blood. They're headed to war and I like the idea of spending a bit more time at war than what the series gave us (1 episode… I know it's expensive to film, but seriously producers/directors/writers, get creative).
4. Athos takes center stage… All the rest of the boys join in and play important roles, but seriously, there are so many d'Artagnan focused and Aramis focused stories out there… This is going to be Athos centric.
5. Given the show's sorely inaccurate dates (Richelieu's early death, the birth of the Louis XIV) please forget trying to keep any of the historic details true to timelines, people, or military strategies. Yes, I pulled research in, but had to forgo a lot of what actually happened given the show's fictional interpretation. This is a story of fiction with a few pieces of history salted just for flavor. Don't over think it. I did, and it gave me a headache.
6. Normally I don't post until the stories are completed. I'm making an exception for this series. I've done series episodes before and wrote as I went along… I wasn't happy with the way they turned out. So, being that I'm almost done with all the stories (just a couple of chapters to write in the last story) and I've decided to go ahead and start posting. Hopefully, there will not be any breaks between episodes. Some are longer than than others. Hopefully, each "episode" will read as it's own story, but also tie into the entire season.
7. Don't feel like you need to read the pre-season stories, it would be helpful, but is not necessary. And, yes, usually there are only 10 episodes per season… I have 13 stories — MountainCat and I decided to split a few of them up because of the length of them.
8. Here is the order in which you'll want to read:
a: Preseason Story: The Plessis Ledger
b. Preseason Story: The Broken Road
c. Watch Season 1 and 2
d. Forget season 3
d. S3E1 The Restoration of Brothers (Completed)

10. Please don't read this with the idea that my other stories are associated with it. Other than the pre-season stories, the others simply stand alone.
