Wally was still at Stumpy's drinking another round of bog grog without getting drunk or dying of froggy liver failure.

"Moving on to the next tale, this one is a tragic tale of loss and redemption." Wally said. "This is the tale about the former king of Amphibia, Andrias Leviathan. Here is what he has been doing in the last ten years." Wally once again prepared his accordion. "Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh, after being defeated and turning his life around he stood trial and was chained for a while where he helped rebuild Amphibia. But due to having no more cybernetics parts, he had become blind and his legs had gotten weak. After a year in chains, the council freed him and the former king decided to become an old blind hermit. Wandering around Amphibia and telling the kids the tales of the girls and his friends Leif and Barrel. But he left out the part where he stabbed Marcy and let her be possessed to spare himself the guilt. But now, due to the absence of cybernetic parts, he is now close to an inevitable fate, deeeeeaaaaaaaaaaath."

Somewhere in the forest of Amphibia, Andrias and his carer, Frog Soos, were standing by an old newt. The newt appeared to be one of Andrias' former guides, he showed a blue print to the two which Frog Soos began to describe.

"Okay, you see these?" The newt asked.

"I'm blind, Joe." Andrias replied. "Frog Soos, describe what you're seeing."

"Okay, ummmmmm…." Frog Soos began staring at the blueprint, trying to figure out what it was. "….Uh….Okay, there's what appears to be your skeleton with some lines and words describing each part. Apparently, your heart has problems due to any lack of cybernetic parts."

"Oh." Andrias responded before smiling. "Ah, took it long enough."

"Woah, you're cool with dying?" Frog Soos asked. "I guess it's great to be optimistic regardless of your fate."

"If you've lived for a thousand years, Frog Soos, then you'd understand how much of a salvation death is." Andrias said. "How long do I have left, Joe?"

"Hard to tell." Joe replied. "Maybe a few more weeks or a month."

Andrias sighed and stood up, using Barrel's hammer as a walking stick. "It's time. I've been planning this for years."

"What?" Frog Soos reacted. "You've been planning this?"

"Why yes." Andrias replied. "I've planned every last detail. First, I intend to visit the graves of my friends, Barrel and Lief and return their stuff."

"But don't you need a walking stick?" Frog Soos asked.

"I do." Andrias replied. "But I have spares." He then showed one that was attached to his robe.

"Aww, you really did come prepare." Frog Soos remarked.

"My plan, is to visit the toad village and return his warhammer, head to Wartwood to return Leif's badge and finally, I shall head to the cliff near Newtopia, where the girls left this world and placed their signature weapons behind." Andrias took a deep painful breath. "And that is where I'll place Marcy's pin. The pin I got from her on the day we met, right by her crossbow. Then, I sit on the cliff on my own, looking out to the horizon, like with Barrel and Lief when we were young."

Frog Soos was already crying. "Oh dude! Childhood is such a nostalgic tear fest."

"I know Frog Soos." Andrias responded. "Do you think you can accompany me to the North Tower? I do need a guide after all."

Frog Soos smiled. "Sure, anything for my boss."

Ever since losing his job at the wax museum, Frog Soos had been desperate to find a job. He had the odd ones which he lost a lot either to him not meeting their standards or they just went out of business. But it wasn't until he got his job of being Andrias' carer that he had found his true job, helping people like him. He had been helping him for the last nine years, planting plants and being there for when Andrias tells his stories to the kids.

After about 5 days, the former king newt and his frog carer eventually made it to the toad village where they weren't given warm greetings by the toad villagers. Even though it has been ten years, the residents of the swampy village hadn't quite forgave Andrias for the actions he had regretted.

Many of the residents were either narrowing their eyes at them, trying to keep their children safe, diving into wells, running into their homes or were just continuing their routine.

Many of the children though, were ecstatic to see him. They began jumping up and down to get the blind hermit's attention. "Andrias! Andrias! Andrias! Andrias!" They yelled as they jumped up and down.

"Woah, kids, one at a time." Frog Soos said.

"Sorry kids, but unfortunately I won't be telling stories today." Andrias said.

"Awww." The kids groaned in disappointment.

"Will you be back to tell us more?" One of the toad kids asked.

"I don't think I will." Andrias said sadly. "But when I'm gone, Frog Soos will tell the tales of Barrel and Lief."

"I will but I might accidentally gloss over details due to forgetting stuff." Frog Soos said.

"I'm just here to return something I have held on to for far too long." Andrias said.

He and Frog Soos walked into the swamp and managed to avoid as many creatures as they could, which included a giant swamp beast and bugs that tried to eat Frog Soos.

They eventually made it to an old abandoned cemetery where many of the gravestones were either crumbling or were completely destroyed. They eventually made it to one giant tombstone. One marked Barrel, the first captain of the toad army.

"Frog Soos, are we there?" Andrias asked.

"Well, I see a grave with Barrel's name on it." Frog Soos replied. "So yeah dude, I think you made it."

"Leave Frog Soos, I wish to be left alone." Andrias said.

"Okay, dude." Frog Soos responded before walking away.

Andrias touched the stone with his hand and rubbed it gently. He closed his eyes and gave a regretful sigh. "Barrel old buddy, I'm so sorry I terminated our friendship. I'm sorry I was never there for you on your important days even when you needed me the most. But, I guess in a way, I've had you by my side for the last ten years. And now, I wish to return something that belongs to you." He raised the warhammer up high and placed it in the ground.

The former king touched the grave as tears fell from his eyes, still feeling all the guilt he had for ending his friendship with one of his bestest friends.

"Hey buddy." Andrias turned his head to where he heard the voice. Despite not seeing him, he could hear Barrel. "Thanks for returning my hammer." The Barrel that Andrias was hearing could have been anything, a ghost or nothing due to Andrias' old age. "Hey, if we see each other again, you owe me 26 sneak attacks."

Andrias laughed. "I know I'll see you soon Barrel. I know."

After an hour, Andrias and Frog Soos began walking out of the cemetery to go to the next location, a Wartwood, to visit Leif's grave.

"Hey Frog Soos, when we enter Wartwood, can you make sure I don't crush any buildings?" Andrias asked.

"Sure dude." Frog Soos replied. "Even though we have been doing that."

"Yeah, but Wartwood especially." Andrias said. "They're slow to respect, and even slower to accept. Or was it the other way around? I sometimes forget. Point is, they're rather slow to acceptance."

"Ah, so….When we get there, there will be a few problems?" Frog Soos asked.

"I heard they rarely had any mobs so maybe this year will be different."

About a week later, Andrias and Frog Soos found out for themselves how the residents would react. Turns out, Andrias' actions were not forgotten as they surrounded the blind hermit with pitchforks and torches.

"You're intending to destroy our town!" Stumpy yelled.

"Throw him out!" Yelled Mr Flour.

"Put him the barrel of shame!" Wally yelled.

"He won't fit!" Someone yelled.

"Well find a bigger barrel!"

"Uh…How many are there?" Andrias asked.

"Around a hundred." Frog Soos replied. "But don't worry sir, I'll stick by your side." The frog then noticed a butterfly. "Oh cool, a butterfly." The frog then began to follow the butterfly leaving Andrias on his own.

"Listen citizens of Wartwood, I mean no harm." Andrias assured them. "As long as I don't accidentally step on one of your houses or one of you."

"He's going to squash us!" One of the townsfolk screamed.

"Run him out!" Mayor Toadie exclaimed.

"Please, I wish to see the grave of….Lily Plantar." Andrias said. "An old friend of mine who I knew as Leif. I'm at the end of my roads and I know I've done some things I am not proud of and I've been trying to make amends for the last ten years. So please give me a few hours to visit my old friend. I just wish to see her."

The townsfolk were at first hesitant but they eventually just walked away to let Andrias say his goodbyes.

"Are they gone Frog Soos?" Andrias asked. "Frog Soos? Are you there?"

Just then, a young pollywog bounced up to him and coughed. "Uh, sure dude." It said, using a Frog Soos impression. "Follow me."

"We all know what happens here."

After that little incident, Andrias eventually arrived at the grave marked Lily with Frog Soos leaving him to be.

He smiled and put a hand on the grave. "Hello Leif or should I call you Lily?" Andrias laughed. "If you wish for me to call you Lily, I don't know if I can. I'll always remember you as my friend, Leif." He took off the green leaf badge and placed it on her grave. "I should have returned that. Leif, I'm sorry for everything. I'm so sorry for not listening to you. I saw the consequences and let's just say, I sometimes have nightmares about the moon crashing into Amphibia. If it weren't for those three amazing girls, I doubt I would have gotten my chance of redemption. A thousand years, I've wasted it, trying to live up to my father's expectations when I should have tried to prevent what he wanted to start. Now, that I'm at the end of my roads, I hope I have done everything in my power to fix things."

It was then, he felt someone touching his hand. It could have been Frog Soos, but it turned out to be a familiar voice. "You did good Andrias. I'm glad you've opened your heart in the end." He heard Leif. Again, he didn't know if it was a ghost or if he was just at the end of his road, but to him, Leif was there. "Barrel has been talking. He can't wait to beat you again."

Andrias then began to laugh. He thought to how Barrel had always beat him while Leif usually watched on, usually studying fauna, plants or weeds. But those nostalgic memories brought tears and soon his laughter turned to sobbing.

"I'm so sorry, Leif!" Andrias sobbed. "I'm so sorry! I….I should have stood up to him! If I did, I wouldn't have hurt her! I wouldn't have hurt her! I wouldn't!"

Leif gently shushed him. "It's okay, Andrias. I lived a happy life with a family I loved dearly. You may have taken a lot longer but you're living it and took your time with it. And I'm glad. No matter what happens next, I can not wait to spend time with you and Barrel."

Andrias smiled. "I can't see you anymore Leif, but I hope you're smiling back."

"I am." Leif assured him. "I am. Now, you should get going. There's one more place you wish to visit, right?"

Andrias sighed. "Yes. The place I intend to rest. Forever."

"I can't wait to see you again." Leif said.

"Me neither. Me neither."

Later, Andrias and Frog Soos began their journey to Newtopia with Frog Soos holding him by his side, helping him move about.

"You're doing good Andrias." Frog Soos said.

"Thanks Frog Soos." Andrias said. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

"So, that badge around your cloak is from your other friend?" Frog Soos asked.

"Oh yes." Andrias replied. "Marcy. She was the last friend I had before I met you."

"You know, you told us stories about her, I kind of wish to hear them again."

"Really?" Andrias asked, surprised. "What about Leif and Barrel?"

"No offence, they're great, but Marcy's story is far more amazing in my opinion." Frog Soos replied.

Andrias laughed. "I guess it won't hurt. Marcy Wu, one of the last best friends I ever had. In a way, she was the human reincarnation of Leif. Enthusiastic, loves studying and more importantly, a presence that lights any room she's in. But, Marcy, compared to Leif, was more, clumsy. On her first day in Newtopia, she fell down a flight of stairs, but luckily we had great healthcare to fix that leg of hers. After a while of knowing her, I found out she wanted to make something called a web comic when she was older that she hoped would get adapted into something called an Anime, she was a fan of the Cynthia Coven book series which I never got the chance to finish, she also complained about The Good Witch Azura which she found really overrated, one day meet the author of Cynthia Coven and one of the funniest things she said was that one of her dreams when she was younger was getting in a relationship with a witch. She also became the only person to ever beat me at Flipwart, something I wish she wasn't good at. Anyway, I made her a ranger where she explored, defended and studied Newtopia and everywhere around Amphibia. She was an amazing kid, whom I never saw as a daughter or a granddaughter, but the first friend I had in 1000 years. But then…." Andrias choked up. "…I betrayed her."

Frog Soos stared at Andrias in shock. "What? You never told that part of the story!"

"I know." Andrias admitted sadly. "I don't like to talk about it. It just makes me ashamed of myself. Now, I'm sure you know that Marcy brought the girls to Amphibia on purpose because she was about to move away. She told me that secret, but on the day I betrayed her I revealed to everyone what Marcy did leading a fallout. But when Marcy tried to redeem herself, I hurt her."

"I'm pretty sure she forgives you for that." Frog Soos said.

"I stabbed her."

"Oh, that sucks." Frog Soos remarked.

"Yeah, I revived her but as soon as she got out, I got her to be the host for my master." Andrias explained. "I pleaded with my master to reconsider, but Marcy was perfect for them even though I hated it. I couldn't even watch Marcy being possessed by the Core. Luckily, Sasha freed her and I eventually changed my ways, but the pain was still there. I never apologised to Marcy after what I did and I don't think she would have forgave me. I didn't expect her to say goodbye to me. I felt there was some reluctance of her saying it. I think there was a part of her that didn't want to forgive me."

"But, she knows you were controlled by that evil demon who was also your dad and other newts and other smart people." Frog Soos said. "I'm sure, she'll know."

Andrias sighed. "I hope, wherever she is now, she's doing well."

"Like being married to a witch?" Frog Soos asked.

Andrias laughed. "Unlikely, but I like to imagine it."

About a week of travelling where Andrias passed a small western town, the old wax museum now run by Mabel Ponds after the death of her uncle and the Ribbiton residence.

But during the journey, there were a few times where Andrias clenched on his heart due to the pain in his heart which meant his death was soon approaching and he does not have a lot of time left.

Eventually, the two made it to the cliff where the three signature weapons of the girls remained sticking from the ground. Anne's tennis racket, Sasha's sword and Marcy's crossbow. During those ten years, their weapons had vines and all sorts of fauna growing over them since they had been around for 10 years.

Andrias got to his knees, his breathing growing weaker every second and he held to his chest. Frog Soos got to his side and held him close just so he wouldn't fall.

"There, there, Andrias, I got you dude." Frog Soos said.

"Thanks Frog Soos." Andrias said.

"Is there anything I can do?" Frog Soos asked.

Andrias smiled. "You've done everything, Frog Soos. I wish to thank you for helping me. I want to thank you for taking care of me. I am grateful of you being the last friend I have had. You may have been my carer, but I felt in the last nine years, I gained my last friend."

Frog Soos was tearing as he stared at his newt friend for one last time. "I'm going to miss you, dude!"

"And I'm going to miss you too." Andrias said.

"Where will I go?"

Andrias smiled. "I think that old Plantar farmer is going to need someone to watch him. If not him…Then, maybe….I don't know any more old people in Amphibia."

"I'll find somebody." Frog Soos saluted him before walking him away. "I wish some people knew more stuff about me."

Once Frog Soos left, Andrias sat on the cliff and took off the badge Marcy gave Andrias on the first day they ever met. He stared at it reminiscing Marcy's sweet, childlike and innocent face. Especially the puppy eyes she gave him.

"I hope, someway, somehow, you have forgiven me." Andrias began feeling for Marcy's crossbow, which he luckily found and placed the badge on it. "I hope."

Andrias began to quietly contemplate the last moments of his life. He remembered the day he was born, the day his father didn't even cry at his mother's funeral, the day he, Barrel and Leif became best friends, days when he and his friends would sit by the cliff, studying fauna with Leif, sparring with Barrel, the day his father explains his purpose, meeting the Core, becoming king, tearing his friendships apart, hearing the news of Barrel's death and crying, getting cybernetic parts to extend his life, the first time he met Marcy, watching her beat him at Flipwart, pleading with the Core to spare her, Marcy pouring her heart out to him, promoting her to ranger, meeting Anne and the Plantars, pleading with the Core, betraying everyone and planning the Earth invasion, watching Marcy getting possessed, accepting his fate by Anne, standing up to his father and crushing his crown, watching the girls go home and accepting his punishment while his vision faded forever.

As Andrias continued to shed tears, he heard a familiar voice. "Maybe she does forgive you."

He gasped and turned to where the voice was. She couldn't be here. She just couldn't. "Marcy?"

"Hey Andrias."

Andrias smiled. "Are you here?"

"Well, you can hear me and see me, right?"

Andrias sighed. "I'm afraid, my vision is no more. I can not see my own hands, I can't even see you."

"I….I'm sorry." Marcy said sadly. "Do you mind if I sit with you?"

"Go ahead."

There was a silence as Andrias assumed Marcy was taking her time to sit down next to Andrias. Whether she was there or not.

"So, how are things?" Marcy asked.

"I…Am at the end of my road, Marcy." Andrias replied. "I'm dying. I'm close to death."

"Oh, right." Marcy responded.

"I…made up for my crimes." Andrias replied. "I planted a lot of trees to replace the ones I destroyed."

"Did you ever do anything else?"

"Once I was free, I just became an old hermit kids would run to." Andrias replied. "They really liked the stories about you and your friends. By the way, how are they?"

"Anne and Sasha are doing great." Marcy replied. "They have amazing jobs."

"What about you? Do you have a job?"

"I'm living my dream." Marcy replied. "I'm doing a web comic and it's doing amazing online. I've been getting a lot of studios wanting to adapt it. One studio wants it to be an Anime and I might have said yes."

Andrias smiled. "That's amazing Marcy."

"I also met the author to Cynthia Coven and got into a fight with someone over The Good Witch Azura." Marcy said.

"Physical?"

"Nah, verbally."

"Yeah, when you described them, they sounded really overrated." Andrias laughed. "Sounds like you're living your fantasies. Next you'll be telling me you're dating a witch."

"Actually….I kind of am." Marcy said.

Andrias was surprised but he then realised that he could be hearing things due to his age and smiled. "Well, tell them I wish I could meet them."

"I will."

They just sat in silence just listening to the sounds of the water, until the former newt king asked Marcy a question.

"Hey Marcy, do you really forgive me?"

Marcy was silent as she sniffled. "I've always forgave you, Andrias. Every part of me forgave you. Despite the nightmares, despite staring at the mirror for hours just looking at it and the fact I have illusions, I have always forgave you. I've forgave you for the last ten years."

Andrias looked away for a moment. "I never fully apologised for what I did. I am so sorry, Marcy."

"And again, I forgive you."

The two continued to sit in silence until Andrias grasped to his heart, again. "Uh….I think I'm close. I think you should probably go."

"Andrias, nobody deserves to die alone. Let alone you."

Andrias smiled. "Thanks Marcy. Marcy, before I go, can you answer one last question before I go?"

"Fire away."

"Even after everything I've done, even after I did everything to redeem myself, did I do good in the end?"

There was silence like Marcy was pondering the question until she gave what sounded like a tearful response. "You did."

Andrias smiled as he closed his eyes. "If…..I had my eyes back for one minute…..I would like to have seen you…For one last time…To see how much you've grown." He then laid on his back as he felt his final moments were taking effect. Instead of being afraid though, Andrias was happy as he was anticipating seeing the two people he wish he could have seen again 1000 years ago.
