Ethan stood up and stretched. He could feel his back popping as he stretched. He winced with each pop. He shook his head and looked at Acidicus.
"Thank you, for telling us the legend," Ethan said, holding out is hand. Acidicus looked hesitant at first, but shook his hand.
"It's a…" Acidicus paused. "Pleasure,"
Ethan smirked. "I don't think we've formally met. I'm Ethan Crow. You must be Acidicus, correct?"
Acidicus nodded. "Yes, but...how do you know my name?"
Ethan shrugged. "I did my research. I'm glad the Doctor has a big library,"
"Library?" Acidicus echoed. "I'm actually the librarian of the library here,"
Ethan's eyes lit up. "Really?"
Acidicus nodded. "I love reading books,"
Ethan smiled.
Then a voice called out.
"We're under attack! Protect the young!"
Ethan's heart sank. He pulled his gun out.
"Acidicus, take shelter!" He ordered. He looked around. Everyone was in a panic. Ethan jogged to Skales.
"Do you know what's attacking?" Ethan said. Just as he said that, he saw it.
There were tons of these ninja robot things ran in. They had these black hoods, like the ninja used to wear, but there was metal on a portion of it connected to what seemed to be a laser cannon. They had a black ninja robes, with a purple strap going across their chests and waists, showing something that looked like a power core, their right arm seemed to be bare metal, with black gloves, and black pants with a portion cut out with more robotic insides.
"Nindroids!" Cole exclaimed.
Ethan growled.
"Ethan?" Skales placed a hand on his shoulder. Ethan looked back at him, and saw purple scales along his neck. He looked down at his left arm, and purple scales were seeping down his shoulder.
It's spreading! Ethan thought.
"I can't believe I'm saying this," Kai sighed. "Protect the serpentine!"
Ethan fired into the crowd of Nindroids as they charged. One of them, armed with a sword, leaped forward and swiped at him. Ethan jumped back, barely avoiding the blade. Then, it's laser cannon started to glow, like it was charging up. Ethan took aim…
"Look out!"
Something smacked the Nindroid in the head, then sweeped its legs. Ethan aimed down at fired at it head, shooting 3 times.
He looked at the person, and saw a hypnobrai. He was kinda skinny, not a lot of muscle, but there was a little. He didn't seem to have a snake hood, and if he did, it was really small. On the top of his head was white, with blue patterning going down, and in the blue there was a small stripe of yellow. Some blue cut through the white, like river. He had two big teeth, a dark-ish grey arms and hands, his chest was like the patterning on his head, yet on the sides of the patterning was blue in the form of spirals. The patterning was little bigger, and it got smaller until it stopped at his knees.
In his hands was seemed to a wooden staff. It had some cracks here at there, and it looked like it had been sanded.
Ethan reloaded his gun and kept firing at the Nindoids. "And you are?"
The hypnobrai rolled his eyes. "No 'Thank you?'"
Ethan paused and looked at him. "Thank you.,"
"No problem," He said. "I'm Lazarus,"
"Ethan," Ethan said.
"Junior?" He heard Selma cry out. "Junior!"
Then he heard Skales Jr. cry out.
"Mommy!"
Ethan darted to where Skales Jr. was. There was a Nindroid there, but this one looked like it had additional armor. It covered part of the power core, and had shoulder plating.
It tripped Skales Jr., and that set Ethan off.
He rammed into the Nindroid, knocking them both over. He reared his fist back, but the Nindroid punched him in the stomach. Ethan spurt up blood, and the Nindroid punched his face. Ethan rolled off, and as the Nindroid jumped up, He took aim. The Nindroid kicked the gun out of his hand and kicked him in the chest. It felt like he just got a rock slammed down on him.
He looked at Skales Jr., who looked terrified.
"Run!" Ethan shouted at him. He slowly got up, but it kicked him in the face, causing Ethan to fall on his back.
"Pathetic," It said.
Get up! Ethan tried getting up, but fell back down. His nose was bloodied, and his vision was fading.
Don't get the kid, He through. Don't hurt him.
Ethan grit his teeth and got up, pain shooting all throughout his body.
"Still alive, I see," The Nindroid said. Ethan pulled out his knife and jumped at it. It grabbed his arms, and they struggled. Ethan had the knife right up to the Nindroid's face…
It fired its cannon, hitting his shoulder. Ethan fell over, screaming in pain. His vision started to darken, and he was in immense pain.
He closed his eyes, letting the darkness sink in.
…
"Soon, you will reunite,"
Ethan was in a black void, looking around. That voice...it was familiar…
"Reunite? With who?" Ethan shouted into the dankness.
"He bears the face you remember from fear, yet his scales have changed," The voice said. "He's been hiding in the shadows, watching...waiting for the right moment to strike,"
Ethan scowled. "Who has?"
"Your time has come to leave," The voice said. "Soon, you shall meet him once more,"
…
Ethan slowly opened his eyes. Skales was looking over him.
"He's awake!" Skales shouted. Ethan tried sitting up, and pain shot through his shoulder.
He winced and clutched his shoulder, and saw it.
His arm was covered in purple scales. He looked at his other arm, and that was covered in purple scales, too.
"You were a strange case," Skales said. "You seemed to be turning into an anacondrai,"
Like… Pythor, Ethan thought.
"We gave you the anti-venom, but it didn't get rid of the scales," Skales said. "You were almost completely transformed,"
Might be because I'm not from this world, Ethan thought. Or the TARDIS had something to do with it.
"No one seems to know why you became one," Skales said. He helped Ethan up.
"Thank you," Ethan said.
"You saved my son," Skales said. "It's the least I could have done,"
Ethan smiled slightly. "Where can I see myself?"
"Follow me," Skales said. He slithered away, and Ethan followed behind.
Maybe my encounter with Pythor did something, Ethan wondered.
They stopped at a small pond. Ethan looked down, and saw his full body.
He had a snout, the top of his head having a light blue gem in it, glowing red eyes, black scales going down his neck and the top of his head in some sort of wavy pattern, with a yellow triangle in each wave, a yellow dot above both of his eyes, black sprawling across his chest, purple seeping into it every inch or so that lead to the turquoise-colored gem in the middle of his chest. The patterning went down to his knees, and they looked like spikes. A yellow stripe went from the gem and down to the the end of the pattern at his knees, and in each spike there was a purple triangle. His arms were just purple and his hands were black. He had a tail that dangled down to his ankles and could be seen in between his legs. There was a large, black line going down the top, yellow dots going down the black line with small purple triangles on the dots.
"Woah…" Ethan said with almost childlike wonder. He turned, examining himself. "I don't look half bad," He looked back at Skales, all serious now.
"What do we know about those...Nindroid things?"
Skales sighed, so that signaled bad news. "They were powered by Electro-Cobrai,"
"Electrified snakes, from what it sounds like," Ethan mused. "So a white scale, and electricity-snakes,"
Skales looks away. Ethan gave a confused look.
"Only one serpentine was fond of using Electro-Cobrai," Skales said. "Pythor,"
Ethan raised an eyebrow, or what seemed like an eyebrow. "Okay, thought he was with you guys,"
Skales shook his head. "He was swallowed by the Great Devourer, a giant snake in which we tried using to scare the land dwellers to go underground,"
"Because of the Golden Master," Ethan said.
"Correct. But It didn't work, and we were sealed away in tombs," Skales said. "We were freed, and Pythor wanted to use the Great Devourer to destroy the land dwellers, as revenge. It backfired, and it swallowed him. We all thought he had died…"
"Well, when I find him, he's gonna die for real," Ethan growled. He looked at Skales. "I'll come back and help rebuild. I promise,"
Skales looked at him like he was crazy. He looked away. "Fine,"
Ethan sighed. "I'll be on my way,"
Then, wind started to blow in his face. That familiar wheezing sound filled the air.
They both looked towards the source of the sound…
And there was the TARDIS.
Skales looked at it in surprise. "What is that?"
The Doctor stepped out with a grin. "The TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimension In Space,"
Ethan smiled. "Where to?"
"Where the others are, at the tower," The Doctor said. Ethan walked in.
"Where?" Ethan asked again.
"Cyrus Tower," The Doctor said. He looked at Ethan again.
Ethan raised his hands. "Hey, I don't know how this happened,"
