Ethan looked around this small office. He was not planning to go inside this "Digiverse" as Cyrus has called it. The Ninja were gonna enter through these chairs were connected to a laptop thing that P.I.X.A.L was hooked up to through these wires. Ethan was hoping this...Overlord won't detect them here, but in case, Ethan got another weapon, against the Doctor's wishes. It is a Colt Model 727 with an undersling grenade launcher, and as a back up, he was able to get another 44. Magnum.
The Doctor had decided to locate Lloyd and devise a plan with Lazarus to rescue him, while Ethan stayed at the tower.
Ethan walked over to one of the two elevators and leaned up beside one, leaned the gun against the wall next to him, pulled a cigarette box out from his back pocket, pulled a cigarette out from it and stuck the box back in his pocket. He stuck the cigarette in his mouth, pulled a lighter out, and lit it. He stuck the lighter with the box, took the cigarette out and blew a puff of smoke. He stuck it back in.
Why am I so worried? He thought. The Doctor and Lazarus should be fine, and I'm decked out on ammo.
His mind went back to that dream he had. Who was this guy it spoke about? All Ethan knew was that he had white scales and was not a pleasant person, apparently.
The elevator doors suddenly opened, and an old man with a small, grey beard, a worn-out purple shirt, a tan jacket, a light purple hat that had a pin that looked like a bugle, purple pants and shoes was there, standing inside..
Behind this guy was a few of the civilians, or "Barbarians" as Ethan called them, since they looked like, well, barbarians.
The stormed out, and Ethan quickly grabbed the gun and held it at ready, in case they tried anything.
"You see! Borg is holding out on us!" The postman said. "He does have power!"
Cyrus sighed. "This is no time for more post-apocalyptic role-playing, Postman,"
Ethan paused and looked at the postman. "Role-playing? Seriously?"
"This isn't a game anymore," The Postman said. "We heard about the Nindroid activity. What if the come back? We need the power to defend ourselves. And I wanna catch up on some shows,"
Ethan stepped forward. "Your shows can wa-"
"Would you like to play a game?" Cyrus' computer cut him off.
"They are playing a game!" The postman exclaimed. "Take back the power!"
They started to attack at them. Ethan's heart started to beat through his chest. He didn't want to hurt these guys.
"No, stop!" Cole shouted.
Kai was pushing some of them back. "We're trying to help you!"
Then, they stopped fighting. Ethan was confused. They believed them, for once?
Then, he saw them. These glowing, golden orbs were floating all over the place. Everyone was looking at them in awe.
"Where's all the power coming from?" Nya seemed to wonder aloud. Ethan poked on with the muzzle of the Colt, and the orb floated in the opposite way very slowly.
"Golden power," Cyrus said, terror in his voice. "It has already begun. The Overlord has stopped the transference,"
Ethan's heart sank. He ran to the window, keeping an eye out. He heard Nya telling the civilians to help protect the tower, but Ethan wasn't paying attention. He was worried about everyone. What if something went wrong?
Ethan dropped the cigarette on the ground and crushed it with his boot. He looked down. The civilians had taken ground, and there was a makeshift barricade in they way of them. There wasn't much to barricade the elevator, so while Cyrus was getting ready to send the ninja into the Digiverse, Ethan stood by the elevator doors, finger on the trigger, ready to fire.
They already broke through? Ethan thought. This isn't a good sign,
"They're doing it," He heard Cyrus say. "They're mastering the digital world. I must by them some time-"
There was a whirring sound. Ethan looked, and saw what looked like a big, metallic seat, with technical things surrounding it, like keyboards and buttons, and it had a bunch of spider-like legs, mainly silver in color, and the lower tips, or claws, were black. It wend over and knocked Cyrus over.
"My legs! They're back!" Cyrus yelped. Nya lunged at the legs, grabbing on tight.
Ethan fired at the legs. "We gotta make sure the guys aren't seen!"
"He's already seen them," P.I.X.A.L said.
No! Ethan panicked. Everything was going upside-down.
"The ninja," P.I.X.A.L suddenly said. "They're being consumed,"
"And you say that so calmly," Ethan muttered under his breath as he threw the empty magazine aside and shoved another in.
"We're all a bit consumed," Nya groaned. The legs kicked Cyrus.
"Go!" He said. "These are my legs, and my problem!" Ethan slipped the gun on his back and pulled his 44. Magnum out and fired at a joint. The legs started to stumble, and Nya fell off. She quickly got up.
"I'll try to hold the rest of them back," She said.
"I'm coming with you," Ethan said. They both ran to the elevator and Ethan pushed a button on the elevator, and the elevator doors closed, and they started going down.
"I seriously hope we get out of this alive," Ethan said, holstering his revolver and grabbing his Colt again.
"I've got a plan," Nya said. She pressed a button on her bracelet. "I have a surprise for them,"
Ethan had an idea what it was. They stopped, the elevator doors opened, and they ran out. It was a huge room, with some sort of red and black pillar in the center of the room, and a huge window looking in. The walls were a light lavender color. She ran up to the window.
"Lemme guess, a huge mech?" Ethan asked.
"Yep," Nya said. Ethan shrugged.
"Whatever floats your boat," He said. Then, the doors opened. They spun around quickly, and saw the Nindroid that beat Ethan up, whose name was Cryptor, a bunch of Nindroid soldiers, this evil version of Sensei Wu, who had changed immensely.
His hat was now more of a metallic black or dark grey, his beard was now black, half of his face had technical components, his eyes were red, his arms and legs were completely black, the right part of his chest looked robotic, and his staff was black with red symbols on it.
But his main focus was on Pythor.
He looked differently then the last time Ethan saw him. All the purple had been turned to white, all that black had been turned to a light purple, his eyes were now red, and they yellow… was still where it was. Maybe a lighter shade of yellow…
Ethan met eye contact with Pythor. Pythor looked shocked, and Ethan just glared. He aimed the gun straight at them.
"I'll give you one chance to surrender," Nya said. Cryptor laughed.
"Cute," He sneered.
"I hate it when people call me cute," She snarled.
Just then, this huge Mech suit barged into the room though the window. Ethan jumped to the side, almost getting hit, and Pythor and evil Wu dodged it as well, but the other Nindroids weren't so lucky.
Ethan groaned as he got up, covered in cuts from the glass shards. He looked to see Pythor and Wu in the elevator just as the doors closed.
"That son of a bitch," He swore. He ran to the adjacent elevator and entered. The elevator quickly flew up to the top floor, where the ninja were. Ethan braced himself as the elevator doors opened.
P.I.X.A.L had disarmed Wu and was fighting him and Pythor at the same time. She grabbed Wu and threw him to the side.
Which was where the main switch was to shut it down.
Ethan ran forward and punched Wu in the face. Wu stumbled backwards, and Ethan shook his hand in pain.
"Ow, ow, ow," he said quietly. "Taking the term 'Hard-head' a little too seriously there,"
Wu jumped forward and kicked him right in the chest, knocking him down and causing him to slide across the floor and the Colt to slide away, out of arms reach.
"Turn off the master switch!" Pythor shouted. Ethan got up and pulled his revolver out and tried firing it.
Click!
The cylinder was empty. He forgot to load it.
"No!" P.I.X.A.L exclaimed. "The ninja will be left behind in the program forever!"
"Just like they left me in the Devourer," Pythor sneered as he used his tail to whip P.I.X.A.L, knocking her back. He looked at Wu. "Do it!"
Ethan ran at Pythor and leapt at his back. Pythor smacked him with his tail, sending Ethan flying into the wall.
Ethan staggered as he stood up. He leaned against the wall, and started loading his revolver.
I'm not gonna make it, Ethan thought.
Then, elevator doors opened. Inside was a single Nindroid. The Nindroid took it's hood off, to Ethan's astonishment, to show an old man with somewhat tidy, grey hair.
The man rushed forward and rammed into Wu, forcing him out of the tower.
Ethan loaded the last bullet and closed the cylinder.
"You're back," P.I.X.A.L said with surprise.
Pythor looked surpised. "But your oath! You said you'd never fight!"
"All bets were off when you took my son," The guy growled. He ran to Pythor, kicked him in the gut, and then the face, causing Pythor to stagger backwards. Pyhor shook his head, a little blood seeping out of his nose.
"You're too late," He sneered. "Your son is already ours," He turned to head to the elevators, when Ethan put his revolver right up against his head.
"Checkmate, asshole," Ethan muttered. He felt something wrap around his ankle. He looked down, and saw Pythor's tail coiled around. Ethan quickly look up at Pythor. He squeezed the trigger, but he was too late.
Pythor yanked on his leg, causing him to fall backwards. The bullet flew up and hit the wall. Ethan's head collided with the wall. Ethan grit his teeth as his head throbbed in pain. He looked to his side, and saw Pythor's tail slip inside the elevator as the doors.
He looked back to where the guy was. He climbed out the window, with Sensei Wu behind him. He was back to normal. All the transplants seemed to have disappeared or have fallen off.
P.I.X.A.L ran to the button and pushed a button on the computer, and the ninja materialized into the chairs.
Ethan smiled.
Everything turned out alright, Ethan thought. Pain shot through his head. He clenched his teeth, his tail curled.
"Concussion, probably," He muttered under his breath. He let a small smile form on his face. One thought ran through his head.
We did it.
