'Two left..' Sakura thought to herself as she eyed the two men who were approaching her with matching evil grins on their faces.
One of them raced through hand signs before a great wave of water came at her. The two men smirked as they watched the wave hit the four year old.
'Heh, looks like the kids not as tough as they thought.' One thought as his smirk widened.
"Ooo! I can only make a small wave but that one was huge!" An angelic voice said from behind them. The men looked behind them, their faces changing from looks of triumph to looks of horror as they gazed at the hooded figure standing behind them.
"W-wha- h-how?" Behind the mask Sakura had a small smile on her lips.
'Wait a minute.. am I allowed to be talking to the enemy?' The girl wondered as her smile turned into a frown. 'Oh no.. what if I'm not?' As Sakura was having a mental break down, Nozomi-san finished off the two men who seemed to be frozen in place.
"Oi kid! What are you doing just standing there?" Nozomi-san asked as she walked over to Sakura.
"Huh? You took that guy down already?" The four year old questioned with a cute tilt of her head.
"Of course I have you little brat! I beat him ages ago!"
"So you just chose to watch whilst I and Uchiha-san fought against twenty people?" The pinkette deadpanned.
"Actually, you and pretty boy fought ten people each." Nozomi-san corrected.
"That doesn't make it any better!" The four year old hissed.
The redhead pouted from behind her mask as Shisui made his way over to them.
"Should I tie them up?" He asked. Nozomi-san thought for a moment before shrugging.
"Just leave them, we'll be out of here before they wake up." The woman said as she turned to Sakura. "Make sure not to miss anything brat." The pinkette nodded before rushing over to one of the unconscious men and searching through his things.
"Err, what are they doing?" A confused Uchiha asked.
"Oh, the brat's just looting the thugs." Shisui nodded in understanding, moving to help the small girl.
They went round taking anything of use from the unconscious gang members. When Sakura reached the last man she found a peculiar looking scroll. She frowned as she looked at it curiously, it looked like any normal scroll however the ominous chakra that was rolling off it told another story.
"Hm? What's that brat?" Asked the elder Haruno as she approached the young girl.
"Mm, I'm not sure.." The four year old said as she passed the object to Nozomi-san.
Spotting his two teammates huddled together, the curly haired Uchiha walked over to them. He looked at the object in the taller person's hand.
"What's that?" He asked as his brows furrowed.
"Well it's obviously a scroll pretty boy." Shisui rolled his eyes.
"I meant that as in what's up with the dark chakra emitting of it?"
"Ever thought that maybe that's what we're trying to figure out?" The two started arguing as the pinkette just stared at the scroll. It was.. odd. Why would a missing nin who wasn't even that skilled have possession of an object that was obviously powerful. An even better question was why they couldn't open it. Nozomi-san had tried to open the sealed scroll multiple ways: using her chakra; using blood; and trying to open it the way you would usually open a scroll. Non of which had worked.
She frowned. 'Maybe we should take it back to Masaru-sama. He might know what to do..' She snapped out of her musings when she realised that her teammates had stopped arguing.
"We should probably get going, we need to continue on our journey to the Earth country." The red haired woman said as she tucked the scroll away. Sakura and Shisui both visibly straitened as they listened to the woman. The seventeen year old disappeared along with the Uchiha and the pinkette.
The trio reappeared outside the village, on a tree branch.
"We should be able to make it to the border if we sprint for the rest of the day." The Uchiha said. Sakura noticed that he was holding his side and frowned. Had the preteen gotten injured?
Nozomi-san appeared to have noticed as well as she walked up to the boy and removed his hands from his side. It was clear that the boy tried to keep his hands on his side but the woman was stronger then him so he had no choice but to give up. His hands were stained red along with his shirt.
"Pretty boy!" The pinkette could tell the woman was mad, Nozomi-san hated it when any of her comrades were injured. Sakura wasn't really sure why but she imagined that the red head had lost someone important to her.
"What? It's just a little scratch!"
"I should call you Baka boy!" The crimson haired lady roared. Sakura winced as the woman shook the boy and spouted insults at him. The four year old walked over to the older female and tugged on her cloak. The woman looked down at her. "What do you want brat?"
"I can just heal him." The girl reminded her.
"Oh, right." The woman moved away as Sakura moved closer to the preteen. She raised her hands and directed healing chakra to them.
A green light emitted from her hands as she moved them towards where the boy was injured. Her hands hovered over the wound as she focused on stitching the skin back together. From what she could see the wound had been caused by a blade, she guessed that whilst he was dodging in and out of the ten men he had been fighting he hadn't been fast enough to avoid one of their attacks. Thankfully the wound wasn't too deep, It hadn't reached any organs and he didn't have any internal bleeding. All the four year old had to do was stitch the skin back together and kill any bacteria or germs before the wound became infected.
She cleaned the wound, killing any germs that had entered his body, before stitching the skin back together. Once she had mended the wound she ran her chakra through his body, searching for any other wounds he might have. She felt the preteen tense as his chakra tried to fight off the foreign chakra. She pushed her chakra through his body gently, Shisui seemed to reign in his chakra as she continued. Sakura smiled under her mask when she finished her check up.
"You're in good health, your side may be slightly tender and tight for a little while but that is to be expected. I didn't sense any poison or anything so consider yourself lucky." She had only just started learning about poisons and antidotes so if the Uchiha was poisoned then they would be in trouble.
Shisui looked slightly shocked for a small while before he shook his head and gave her a bright smile. "I think that's the first time I've heard you talk!" The four year old bit her lip, unsure of how to respond.
"Ok, we should get going! We need to be on our way if we want to make it to the Earth country by tomorrow." The seventeen year old butted in.
"Hai!" Shisui said as Sakura nodded her head. The trio rushed off, flying through the trees as they made their way to the border between the Fire country and the Earth country.
They continued to travel even when the sun began to set and the moon was visible in the black void that was the night sky. They reached the country in between the Fire and Earth country, it was unnamed but was home to Kusagakure, the village hidden in the Grass.
