*Bumblebee speaking*
Matias' POV
I'm still worried about my daughter... I mean, niece, Patricia. She forced herself to move to Amber Beach with her friends. Since she didn't want Bobby to unpack and set up their new apartment all alone, she also didn't want to get in trouble with the landlord because they already set the application's move-in date. I know her heart wasn't keen on getting settled in due to her morning over her mother... Aunt Mary's death. The funeral was last week.
"Matias, are you okay? You haven't said a word since we pulled out of your driveway," Ratchet says.
I turn my head to see Ratchet's holoform, Ryan, A 5''6' man in his thirties with black hair and green eyes wearing medical scrubs and a doctor's lab coat, sitting in the driver's seat.
"I'm fine Ratchet, I was thinking about Patricia," I say.
"I know this isn't my place, but why did you allow your brother to raise Patricia if she is your child?" Ratchet asks.
"It's a long story. My wife, Mary, was told that Mary could not have children after we tried twice, both ending in a miscarriage. So we had to resort to asking my brother and his wife if she would be willing to act as a surrogate so we could have a baby. Even though we knew there was a chance that this opinion wasn't a 100% guarantee, it would work. But, she agreed to try, and the odds were in our favor. When Tracy was born, Mary and I were asked to join a mission team to help out at a hospital in a very dangerous area." I reply.
"You two wanted to help, but you knew it was too dangerous to bring a newborn child, so you asked your brother and his wife to take care of her until you returned?" Ratchet asks.
"Yes, but the only problem when we came back Patricia had bonded to them, and Mary and I couldn't take her away even though we knew she was our daughter," Matias says.
"You still need to tell Tracy the truth. She does have a right to know about her origins," Ratchet says.
"I know," I sigh.
Normal POV
Tracy woke up an hour or so after Matias and Ratchet left. June gave Patricia her uncle's orders of not lifting any boxes while she and Bobby move into their apartment. Tracy nods. After June hands her a pair of crutches, she and June leave the medical bay. As they enter the room, Tracy sees a 12-year-old boy sitting on Bumblebee's shoulder. As she turns to her right, Tracy is shocked to see a girl with brown eyes, fair skin, and medium-long black hair with pink highlights worn in a low ponytail and two twin tails at the top of her head. She is wearing a two-toned purple T-shirt under a dark blue tank top with yellow stripes and a little green robot drawing, jean shorts, two-toned purple striped stockings, brown knee-high boots with purple ties, and a soft two-toned purple bracelet as a match to her T-shirt, playing with Sapphire.
"Hi, I'm Raf. Bee told me how you rescued Sapphire," Raf says.
"Yeah, you rock. She is so Kawaii. If your new apartment is too small, I bet I can convince my host parents to let me keep her. I'm Miko, by the way," Miko says.
"I doubt your host parents would allow you to keep her," Jack says.
"Why not? I have two cats back home in Japan. I bet she'd love to live with me there once I go back home," Miko says.
* You can't take Sapphire with you Miko, she is already bonded with Tracy,* Bumblebee says.
"Hey, Raf, what did Bee just say?" Jack asks.
"He said that Sapphire already bonded to Tracy, so Miko can't take her," Raf says.
"Since you can't really lift anything, can I come with you to help you move in? I'll play with Sapphire while you order Bobby around," Miko says.
"Sorry, Miko, even if Sapphire has bonded to me, the two-room apartment Bobby and I are sharing is no place for a dog as energetic as Sapphire to live. After Bobby and I get to Amber Beach, we'll stop at the local animal shelter. I know they should have no problem finding her a new permeant home," Tracy says.
"Tracy, you and Bobby, may have to wait a few more days before you two can get fully settled into your new place," Agent Fowler says as he exits the elevator.
"How come?" Tracy asks.
"The landlord is excepting us to show up today," Bobby adds.
"The landlord informed me as I entered that the elevator is out of order," Agent Fowler says.
"So we got an extension on our move-in time?" Tracy asks.
"Yes," Agent Fowler answers.
"Okay, but Bobby and I should head to Amber Beach to visit the museum that the three of us will be working at," Tracy says.
"Sounds good. It does have a café as well, so we can grab something to eat too," Bobby says.
"Sounds great," Tracy says.
"Yeah, I'm starving," Ashley adds.
"Hey, Ashley, did you and my cousin Zach trade brains while I was asleep?" Tracy jokes.
"I'll give you a ride if you like?" Bulkhead offers as he transforms into his alt mode and opens the door.
"Thanks for the offer, Bulkhead, but I'm afraid that your vehicle mode is a tad too high off the ground," Bobby says.
"Bobby is right. It would be too hard for me to get in it with the crutches," Tracy adds, "Go with Miko girl and help Miko's host parents keep an eye on her," Tracy says as she pets Sapphire on the head.
Miko gives Tracy a bear hug, and she and Sapphire and runs over to Bulkhead. They jump inside, and Bulkhead speeds off.
*I can drive all of you to Amber Beach after I drop off Raf,* Bumblebee says.
"Bee said that he could give you guys a ride after he drops me off at home," Raf says.
"That would be great, thanks, Bumblebee," Tracy says.
*You're welcome,* Bumblebee says.
The group is a few miles away from the base, and they are confused when Bumblebee pulls over. Then he turns off the radio, and a scanner appears on the screen.
"Is it Decepticons, Bee?" Raf asks.
*No, but my scanner is picking up a strange energy spike three clicks to the northeast,* Bumblebee says,
"What's going on, Raf?" Ashley asks.
"Bee's scanner picked up a strange energy signal," Raf says.
"We should investigate," Tracy says.
"Tracy, are you crazy," Bobby says.
"If the scanner readings are that high, we can't let the Decepticons get their hands on whatever is causing it, right?" Tracy answers.
Raf contacts the base through his phone, and Optimus tells Bumblebee to head towards the signal, but everyone else needs to stay a safe distance away in case the Decepticons have located it as well. A few minutes after Raf hangs up, they arrive, and Bee lets everyone out. The group takes cover behind a huge boulder, and Bumblebee turns on his holoform.
"Okay, why would a fossilized wing bone be giving off that powerful of energy signal?" Bumblebee asks as the group pokes their heads out from behind the rock, seeing the Dimorphodon fossil poking out from a wall a few feet away.
"I don't see any cons, so we should get closer before some decide to show up," Tracy says.
"I'll go. You four stay put," Bumblebee says.
Bumblebee leaves the group and is amazed as he watches the strange yellow crystal he pulls out of the wall float over to the others. Tracy and everyone else are shocked when they watch the crystal land in Tracy's left hand.
Bumblebee runs over to the group. Tracy is doing her best not to have a panic attack as the yellow energem begins to glow, and a vision of the Dimorphodon appears to her for a brief second.
"Tracy, where did that thing come from?" Ashley asks as a fossilized blaster suddenly appears in her right hand.
The group hears the crackling of lightning and peaks their heads out again to see an alien with brown horns and yellow lightning-shaped claws mounted on its shoulders and arms. It wears lion-themed armor with a soft brown fur collar walk over to the fossil.
"The yellow energem is still here. I can smell it," The alien says.
"You won't get your claws on it today, Fury," Tyler shouts.
Tracy and the others are shocked to see a group of people wearing different colored suits with a dinosaur design on them as they run up, shooting the same kind of blaster that appeared in Tracy's hand moments ago. But the one wearing gold is shooting blasts from a gauntlet on his wrist. Then a group of vivix appears in front of Fury.
As they crouch back down to stay out of Fury's line of sight, Tracy pushes herself up, standing up straight, and slowly puts the crystal into the bottom slot of the blaster.
"Tracy, what are you doing? You can't fight off that alien in your state," Bumblebee snaps in a low tone.
"If you get hurt any more than you already are, your uncle will be furious with you," Bobby says.
"I know you two, but if Fury wants the energem we found, I have to protect it," Tracy whispers back.
The casing around it shatters. And it looks all shiny like a toy when you unbox it. Tracy slithers out from behind the boulder. She stands up as straight as her knee would allow her, then she spins the barrel, and a blast of orange energy flies out of the weapon and hits several of the vivix right in the chest. Then she spins the barrel again, and this time the orange blast hits Fury in the same spot and sends him flying.
"Wow, I'm very impressed that the new yellow ranger is a sharpshooter," Ivan says.
"Yeah, I'm glad she is on our side," Riley adds.
Tracy spins the barrel a few more times, and more tiny electric sparks fly into the air. She aims it at the vivix, walking up to her and pulling the trigger. A dinosaur head flies out of the gun. It made a loop de loop then come towards her. She s to dodge it and closes her eyes after hearing a chomping sound. When she opens them, she sees that her suit is designed like the gold ranger's suit, except she doesn't have a wrist blast like him and her suit is yellow and with a picture of a Dimorphodon where the picture of his dinosaur is on his suit.
Oh, come on, the dinosaur that boned to the energem had to fly. Tracy thinks.
