Normal POV

Since she turned thirteen, Tracy had wanted to know why she felt more of a maternal connection with her aunt Mary rather than with the woman raising her. On the other hand, Ricky wanted to know why he wasn't allowed to see her when he turned thirteen if he had a sister. Even after their mother died, the twins didn't even meet one another at their mother's funeral.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to know what your uncle is going to say?" Wheeljack asks as he sees his human partner clenches her firsts as Tracy lets out a long sigh.

"I do. I'm not in the mood right now to hear what my uncle, or should I say, dad, has to say. I know he wants to, but I think I've been through enough mental, physical, and emotional stress for one day," Tracy replied.

"When did you experience emotional stress today?" Ratchet asks.

" I broke up with my ex-boyfriend Andrew," Tracy says.

"Why did you break up with him?" Ricky asks.

"He made a surprise visit to the museum in Amber Beach," Tracy says.

"Maybe he wants to come to help you move in," June adds.

"I don't think he will do something that, considering he never listened to me when we talked," Tracy says."He got out of his car, his passenger, who happened to be his best friend, Polly. I watch Polly suddenly start making out with him in the parking lot," Tracy says.

"Did he try to stop her?" June asks.

"No, he didn't even look ashamed or even felt an ounce of remorse when he noticed that I could see them," Tracy replies through a hiccup as she swallows the lump in her throat. "He wasn't shocked by her sudden display of affection, and from what I saw from his body language, he was enjoying it,"

"I know this isn't the best time to bring this up, but I'm friends with one of Andrew's cousins, Declan. The last time we spoke, he mentioned that Andrew had feelings for Polly, but he wasn't sure that she felt the same way." Ricky says.

"On what planet is it acceptable to treat someone of the opposite gender that way, or is that even considered a good idea?" Tracy snaps as her voice cracks. "Not to mention, whenever we talked, Andrew never paid any attention to me. I thought I had someone else in my corner to talk to whenever I felt overwhelmed, but it turned out love doesn't make someone blind. It also makes them dumb."

Ratchet walks to Wheeljack and places June down on the wrecker's shoulder next to Tracy. June sits down next to her and Tracy. She wraps her arms around June and allows the tears to flood out of her eyes as the young woman cries into June's chest.

"Tracy, honey, what Andrew did was wrong, and no female should be treated like she is nothing but a pawn on a game board," June says.

"June, since you are a mom, why did it feel like my heart was ripped in half, torn out of my chest, thrown to the ground, and then stomped on the entire time I was breaking up with Andrew?" Tracy asks.

"Wait, how are you alive if someone did that to you?" Wheeljack gasps.

"Wheeljack, sometimes for humans, when their feelings get hurt, it just feels like that is happening, but it didn't," Matias says.

Tracy's POV

When I finally stopped crying for the second time today, June said that her offer to allow me to stay at her place was still on the table. I thanked her and said I'd be back in an hour after stopping by my new place of employment to get my new schedule. I put the medicine to clean my stitches in my purse and get into Wheeljack's alt mode. I'm a little surprised when I see Ricky getting in the driver's seat instead of Wheeljack's holoform.

"Ricky, what are you doing?" I ask.

"I'm going with you since I already know tomorrow that you are planning to sneak back onto the Decepticon's ship to get your energem back," Ricky says.

I quickly pull Ricky into the car, and Wheeljack closes the door behind him. "Ricky, keep your voice down or did you already forget about the whole superhero secret identity thing," I growl.

"Sorry, sis, you are crazy to try to get it back now," Ricky says.

I let go of my brother's jacket collar and let him sit down. After Ricky buckles up and I follow suit, Wheeljack drives into the tunnel.

"If I know your secret, do I get to see the ranger's base?" Ricky asks.

"What about me?" Wheeljack adds.

"Yes, you do, Ricky, but Wheeljack, I don't want to put any of the other rangers in danger if they find out about you being from Cybertron," I reply.

"But, couldn't the rangers teaming up with the Autobots help them fight off Fury's boss if Megatron partnered up with him?" Wheeljack asks.

"True, but I couldn't live with myself if anything bad happens to any of them, especially Bobby and Ashley. They aren't just my best friends. They are like a brother and sister to me. I already lost someone I cared about this year. I can't add any more to my scorecard," I reply. "I already failed as a hero. The enemy has my energem," I sigh, clenching the bit of the necklace where my energem is supposed to be.

"Come on, sis, we were chained to the ceiling," Ricky says.

"Ricky is right. Neither of you had any means to defend yourselves from Starscream," Wheeljack adds.

"I know. I hope my teammates feel the same way," I sigh.

When we arrive at the museum, I tell Wheeljak Ricky and I should be back in ten minutes, heading inside.

Ivan's POV

My fellow rangers and I are about to head home for the night when we hear the stone door slide open. I feel a rush of pure joy and relief flow through my body as Tracy walks in. I dash over to her, and she lets out a small gasp of surprise when I give her a bear hug and spin her around.

"Ivan, I know you're happy to see that I'm okay, but you need to contain your joy just a bit," Tracy chuckles.

"Yes, my sister is right. You might pop one of her stitches out, then our father would get upset," Another voice says as a young man turns the corner and stands in the doorway.

I set Tracy down and saw what the young man was referring to when I noticed the dressing on the upper part of Tracy's right arm. I glance over Tracy's shoulder, and another wave of realization hits me when I read the name Richard Rameriz written on the necklace hanging around the young man's neck.

"Tracy, I know you are excited that you found your brother, but you shouldn't have brought him here," I say.

"Ivan is right. Showing anyone the location of our base is risky," Miss Morgan says.

"It's alright, Miss Morgan. He knows about Fury and that I'm a ranger," Tracy says.

"Well then, it looks like introductions are in order," I say, "I'm sir Ivan of Zander, and this is Tyler, Chase, Riley, Koda, Shelby, Miss Morgan, Bobby, and Ashley,"

Richard is startled when Keeper appears in front of him in a puff of smoke. Tracy tells him that Keeper is our mentor. After he recovers, Richard and I notice the color begin to drain from Tracy's face.

"Sis, you might want to sit down before you pass out; that was a long walk from the parking lot," Richard says.

Relax, Ricky, I'm fine, I know my body limitations..." Tracy says as she quickly flops forward.

I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her towards me as Ricky catches the crutches before they hit the floor.

"Thanks for the save Ivan, just remember to save your whole "saving a damsel in distress" stick for the other girls in town," Tracy says as she slowly opens her eyes.

"Of course, my lady, but are you sure that you're alright?" I ask as I help her up.

"Yes, I just got a little...Woah, dizzy, that's all," Tracy replies as she tries to take a few steps towards the picnic table but starts to lose her balance again.

I catch her in my arms, bring her over to the bed, and set her down. Richard comes over and puts a pillow behind her back to help her sit up. I see her energem necklace and am shocked again when I notice that the yellow energem is missing. Then bandages around the upper part of Tracy's right arm unravel as she quickly grabs the neck to tuck in back underneath the collar of her shirt. I gasp, seeing a huge cut that appears to be sewin shut when the bandages land next to her on the bed.

"Tracy, I can't believe you lost your energem already. Everyone said I was irresponsible and scatterbrained," Chase says.

"Chase, before you jump to conclusions, maybe we should at least let Tracy tells us what happened," I say.

"Judging from the fact she needed ten stitches to close that cut, the aliens who kidnapped you must have had some sharp talons or claws," Miss Morgan says.

"Yes, and in my defense, Chase, I didn't lose my energem; those aliens had me chained to the ceiling of their ship. If there was some way I could have kept them from spotting it, I would have done it," Tracy snaps. "I'm sorry everyone, I failed,"

"It's okay, Lady Tracy, you didn't fail. You were completely defenseless. I will help you get it back from those Extra-Terrestrial thieves," " I say as I wipe the tears from her eyes.

"Ivan, I know you are only trying to make me feel better, but Brain has some friends that can help track down those aliens. I'll get it back myself." Tracy says.

"Tracy, you can't go alone," Richard says.

"Richard is correct; it way too dangerous for you, especially in your current condition," I add.

"Ivan, thank you for backing me up, but for future reference, please call me Ricky, okay?" Ricky says.

"Sorry, Ricky," I say.

"Ricky, when I do get it back, it might be a better idea to see if it will bond to you instead of me," Tracy says.

"Sis, you are being way too hard to on yourself; it was just a long stretch of bad luck," Ricky says.

"A streak of bad luck that put the entire planet in danger." Tracy snaps.

"You aren't thinking about quitting, are you?" Rick asks.

"Yes, I am, Ricky. It was a fluke that the yellow energem even bonded to me in the first place. It's obvious that after I get it back from the aliens who stole it. Keeper should sever its bond with me that way it can bond to someone who will do a much better job protecting it than I did,"

"Keeper, you can do that?" Ricky asks.

"Yes, I can. All Tracy must do is hold the yellow energem to the head of my staff, and it unbinds her from it," Keeper says.

"Sis, if you are basing this decision just because you've had an extremely stressful day, you might regret it. I think you should at least get some sleep and decide tomorrow if going through with your idea is something you truly want to do," Ricky says.

"Fine, I'll sleep on it," Tracy sighs as she rolls her eyes.

Ricky hands me the bandages and tells me that the stitches need to stay covered for the next twenty-four hours to ensure it doesn't get infected.

Normal POV

Tracy just broke up with her boyfriend, but she is so confused her heart keeps pounding in her chest. She feels a different kind of butterflies in her stomach begin to flutter whenever Ivan's fingers brush against her arm as he puts some new bandages on her arm.

I couldn't be falling for someone this fast, could I? No, I can't. Aunt Mary did say the Rameriz women are fast healers, but moving on this quickly after my first heartbreak isn't possible, is it? Tracy thinks.
