AN: I took some inspiration for Young Justice for the chapter title. If you've seen season four of the show, you can see what I did, anyway, enjoy the chapter.
Tracy's POV
I'm not complaining, but I wished that I didn't spend the entire night dreaming about Ivan. Those dreams were a million times better than having nightmares about the accident. I got up early and went to the garage to see if Arcee would be okay with letting me take a ride around Jasper. My crutches clatter when they land on the floor as I reach down to pick them. After I pick them up and slowly stand up, I see Arcee's holoform for the first time, a 5''5' girl in her twenties. She has blonde hair with pink streaks and blue eyes. She is wearing a deep blue motorcycle outfit, standing in front of me.
"You still look tired. I take it you're not a morning person?" Arcee asks.
"Yeah, but I read online that doing something that helps you feel close to the one you lost helps in the grieving process. Aunt Mary was the one who convinced my dad even to let me take the course so I could drive a motorcycle. Maybe we could go for a drive." I reply.
"How about once your knee is better, we can go for a drive," Arcee says as she places her hand on my shoulder, " You can talk to me whenever you feel like talking about what happened. I know what's it like to watch someone your care about getting killed in front of you," Arcee offers.
"Arcee, I appreciate what you're trying to do, but I've received way too many fake sympathy cards and messages from kids who never talked to me at school telling me they are sorry for my loss. I don't need your pity or your act of just saying you've been through the same thing. I have to get me to lower my guard and open to you." I snap in a low tone, trying to avoid waking everyone else up as I push Arcee away.
Arcee's POV
I turn holoform, then transform into my robot mode.
"Arcee, I'm sorry, I never liked talking about my feelings or anything else in general. I didn't damage the holoform, did I?" Tracy asks as tears begin to form in her eyes.
"No, but keeping your emotions isn't good," I say.
"I know, but ever since I became a teenager, I tried talking to my teachers about how I felt when they kept comparing me to my parents or about the bullies. They didn't listen and just told me to leave so they could work." Tracy says as she walks over to sit down on the couch.
"Tracy, I'm sorry you were treated like that. Did you tell your parents about what was happening?" I kneel in front of Tracy as she wipes the tears from her eyes.
"There is someone I want to show you, so you know I was serious about knowing what it's like to have to watch someone you care get killed in front of you," I say.
I pressed one of my fingers on my com, "Ratchet, I need a bridge," I picked Tracy up and set her on my shoulder.
Tracy's POV
Arcee walks through the green portal, and we are on top of a cliff. I look down to see a stone memorial and a metallic horn is on the ground in front of it.
"Who is that memorial for?" I ask.
"My partner, Cliffjumper," Acree says.
"So, did you see Cliffjumper get shot down?" I ask.
"No, but before I met him, I had another partner Tailgate. He and I got captured by a deception, Arachnid," Acree says.
"She tried to get you to tell her some important information and used Tailgate as bait to get you to spill," I say.
"Yes, but when I told her everything I knew, it wasn't enough, and she snuffed out his spark," Acree says.
"Do you still have nightmares about it?" I ask.
"Sometimes, also before Cliff came along, I pushed everyone away," Acree says.
"If you are hinting that I'm doing that, Arcee, I'm not. I feel like I'm just venting to Ashley and Bobby now, and I don't want to be a burden to them when I talk about my emotions." I say.
Matias' POV
Optimus parks in the grass next to the brother Mace's car. He allowed me to since I didn't want Optimus to be blocking the road since they aren't wide enough for him to park on the side. His holoform turns to face me as I let out a shaky sigh.
"Matias, I know Ricky and Tracy need to know about why they grew up apart from one another. is bringing them to the base the best option," Optimus asks.
"Yes, that way, Mace and Addison deserve to tell their side of the story as well," I reply.
We get out and walk up to the front door. My niece and nephew run up and give me a bear hug when my brother opens the door.
"Hi, Uncle Matias, did Cici come too?" Isabella says
"Yeah, Sissy been gone forever," Malachi says.
"Patrica, only moved away yesterday, you two," Mace says.
"Your father is right, sweeties. You need to give Patricia time to adjust to her new home," Addison says.
"I know mommy, but I miss her," Malachi says.
"We miss her too, but someday you and your sister are going to move away and want to start families of your own," Mace says.
"So, Matias, who is your friend," Addison asks.
"I'm Orion. Thank you for allowing me to accompany Matias to your beautiful home," Optimus says.
"You are very welcome," Addison says.
"Mommy, can we show Mr. Orion the playroom?" Malachi asks as he lets me go and grabs Optimus' right hand pulling him inside.
"No fair, Malachi, I want to show Mr. Orion the backyard," Isabella whines.
"Orion, you don't mind keeping an eye on the kids while we talk, do you?" Addison asks.
"Not at all," Orion says.
Normal POV
Inside the base, Ivan, Ricky, and Wheeljack arrive. Ivan's eyes widen in amazement again, seeing the other Autobots.
"Wheeljack, why did you bring another human to the base?" Ratchet asks.
"He didn't have a choice, Ratchet," Ricky says.
"Yeah, while Ricky and I were leaving the museum, some cons tracked us down," Tracy says as she and Arcee walk in.
"You should have seen her face the entire time she and Ivan were buckled in the passenger seat," Ricky snickers.
Ricky starts to jump around in pain after Tracy stomps the end of her crouches on her brother's foot.
"Partner, you need to stop before you break Ricky's foot," Wheeljack says.
"Relax, Wheeljack, I didn't do it that hard," Tracy says.
Arcee notices Tracy freeze for a moment when Ivan's fingers brush against hers as he hands her a bag of food. After she quickly brings herself back to reality, Tracy thanks him for breakfast, then goes over the steps and slowly makes her way up and sits down on the couch to eat. Once she finished eating, she walked down the steps, the rubber tip of the right crutch slipped when she reached the bottom, and Tracy started to lose her balance. The Autobots watch as Tracy tries to blush as she opens her eyes to Ivan looking down at her.
"Thank you for the save, but try your best to contain your knightly reflexes," Tracy jokes as Ivan helps Tracy to her feet.
"I'll do my best, my lady, but you don't need to add a head injury to the list," Ivan says as he brushes a few stray stans of hair away from Tracy's eyes.
"So, Ivan, have you met the others yet?" Tracy asks, changing the subject in the hopes it would stop the butterflies in her stomach from fluttering,
Wheeljack walks over, picks up the duo. Tracy tries to keep their fingers from touching when Ivan sits down next to her.
"Ivan, the one who on human population control, his name is Ratchet. He is the team's Medic. You've met Bulkhead," Tracy says.
"Who was with you when you walked in?" Ivan asks.
"Her name is Acree," Tracy says.
Ivan is shocked when he sees Raf and Jack get out of Bumblebee before he transforms, then Bulkhead arrives. Miko quickly gets out and tries to run over to Wheeljack. Bulk quickly transforms as he picks up and places her on his shoulder.
"Who was that energetic young lady," Ivan asks.
"That was Miko. Bulkhead is her guardian," I say.
"I'm Raf. It's nice to meet you," Raf says.
"The same to you," Ivan says.
"So, where is Optimus," Tracy asks.
"He went with Matias to his brother's house," Ratchet says.
Matias' POV
Mace, Addison, and I sit down at the kitchen table.
"Are you sure this is the best time to tell Ricky and Tracy about this?" Mace asks.
"Mace, we kept the twins apart their entire lives, and Patricia needs to know that I'm her father," I say.
"I have a feeling she already does," Addison says.
"What do you mean honey," Mace asks.
"Come on, Mace, I am sure both of you can test that she is smart enough to put two and two together whenever Mary came to visit that she and her look more like mother and daughter than she and I did," Addison says.
Optimus' POV
Isabella and Malachi were adorable children, and I enjoyed getting to know them. The twins asked me to go outside since they were bored playing inside. I'm not sure if that's a good idea since I'm worried about the Decepticons tracking me. I didn't want to make her upset, so we left and headed to the kitchen. As we enter, the twins' eyes fill with tears when they hear Mace say, "How are Isabella and Malachi going to react when we tell them that Patricia isn't their sister."
"Daddy, does that mean Cici and I aren't a family anymore?" Isabella asks with tears rolling down her face.
"No, daddy, Tracy is my sister," Malachi shouts as he starts to cry as well.
I let go of Isabella's hand and crouched down in front of them. The children hug me tight and cry into my chest.
Normal POV
"Isn't bringing all of them here a bad idea?" Ricky asks.
"Yes, but Matais thought his brother and his wife wanted to be here to be part of the discussion Matias wanted to talk to you and Tracy about yesterday," Ratchet says.
"What about Malachi and Isabella," Ricky asks.
"Who are they?" Wheeljack adds.
"They are Matais's brother's children, and much to my dismay, they are coming as well," Ratchet replies.
"I think we really should have this conversation somewhere else. It is a family matter after all," Tracy says.
