Fun fact about me: My favorite animals are Monkeys, Pandas, Tigers and my little puppy named Bennie.

The next morning Arnold woke to his alarm clock ringing. He slowly sits up and rubs his eyes so he can have a clearer vision of what's going on. He suddenly sighs and looks at his phone; he sees a missed call from Gerald and 5 unread messages. He sighed again and threw his phone on the bed somewhere and went back to sleep. He didn't have the urge or patients to go to school. As he was falling asleep he woke up to a ringtone coming from his phone. He looked all over the bed for his phone and eventually found it. Unfortunately it was still ringing so he flipped it over to see who was calling him. It was Helga, he wondered why she out of all people were calling him this early morning. He answered the phone call with his sleepy voice.

On the phone:

Arnold: Hello?

Helga: Oh um were you sleeping?

Arnold: Yeah why?

Helga: Well I just wanted to know if we were still going to school together like we talked about?

Arnold(Yawns): Yeah that's fine with me. What do you have for the first period?

Helga: I don't know I usually skip it.

Arnold: Good, because I'm so tired and I might skip it as well.

Helga: Wow Arnold skipping again? You must be changing.

Arnold yawned again while rolling his eyes.

Helga: Well I gotta get dressed. Should I pick you up at 9:40?

Arnold: Yeah, that's cool. Thanks Helga.

Helga: Yeah don't count on it Football head.

And with that Helga hung up the phone. Arnold just laid there and threw his phone again on the bed somewhere. He turned over to sleep but his ringtone was ringing again, this time it was Gerald calling.

Arnold: Geez man, I just wanna sleep. Is that too much to ask for right now?

Arnold picks up the phone while yawning.

Gerald: Arnold man where are you?

Arnold: In bed trying to sleep; why?

Gerald: Well for starters I haven't seen you at all yesterday. Where were you at yesterday?

Arnold: I skipped.

Gerald: Wait what? Arnold did something bad? Wow I'm shocked.

Arnold yawned again while forcing a fake laugh.

Gerald: Anyways man, I'm coming to get you. Helga is not here so you can finally breathe.

Arnold: Uh well actually Gerald..

Gerald: Yeah what's up?

Arnold: I'll walk today. I'm not dressed so I'll just walk

Gerald: Are you sure? I can wait for you-

Arnold: No I insist go without me bye.

Arnold quickly hangs up the phone and goes back to sleep for at least 2 hours. When he wakes back up and takes a shower and does his normal activities. He sits on his bed with his towel wrapped around his waist. He picks up his phone to call Helga to see if she's coming to pick him up. She of course answer and Arnold sighs.

Helga: Doesn't mean you have my number, Football head doesn't mean you're going to call me everyday.

Arnold: Helga you called me the first time. I didn't call you.

Helga: Whatever Football head, are you dressed because I'm on my way to get you.

Arnold: Yeah I just need to put my clothes on.

Helga: Y-you aren't wearing a-any clothes?

Arnold: No, I just got out of the shower.

Helga: Oh- um- okay.

Arnold: Are you okay Helga?

Helga: I'm a fine Football head. Just be ready to go by the time I get there or I will leave you.

Arnold laughs.

Arnold: Whatever you say Helga.

Helga: You better believe it bucko.

Arnold shares another quick laugh.

Arnold: Well I'll see you when you get here Helga; bye.

Helga: Bye.

Helga and Arnold hang up the phone. Arnold slowly slides back on the bed and takes a deep breath.

Arnold's P.O.V: Me alone in a car with Helga? This could be good but yet bad. For some reason I keep thinking about her in a very inappropriate way. I mean I couldn't help it, She has just gotten so beautiful over the years. I don't know what it was about her that made me want her in every other way. Other than her being well- mean to me all the time. I always thought there was more to Helga, more like she did have a nice and caring side but just refuses to show it. Maybe hanging around her won't be that bad after all, I mean I can get to know her some and maybe finally put our differences to the side and be friends. I got up and went to my closet to pick out something decent to wear. I didn't really have much clean clothes because well- I'm lazy. So I picked out some tan shorts, a blue muscle shirt and threw on a red sweatshirt with black sneakers. Hey I mean it was better than yesterday am I right? Helga was going to be here in about 30 minutes so that means I have just enough time to have a decent breakfast. I grabbed my backpack and ran down the stairs with 20 minutes to spare. When I reached the kitchen Ernie and my dad were in the living room watching baseball. I said Good morning to them and went into the kitchen to find something to eat for breakfast. I eventually found a bag of an orange bag of sunchips and some apple juice. I mean I know it wasn't a healthy breakfast but I was sorta in a rush. So I ate quickly and went outside to wait for Helga with five minutes to spare. While I was waiting for Helga I couldn't help think about if I wanted to go to school today or have another skip day with her. I mean I know skipping school isn't the smart thing to do but I just don't know. I kinda liked skipping school. (sigh) I have to go to school, I mean I already missed one day I can't miss another. Suddenly I see a white Hatchback in front of my door. I looked confused at it and then the windows rolled down. It was Helga she was waiting for me. so I put on smiled and walked up to her car window.

Arnold: Nice car.

Helga: Thanks Football head, wanna give her a spin?

Arnold: Wow really?

Helga gets out of the car and tosses Arnold the keys to her car and sits on the passenger side. Arnold smiles and then gets in the driver seat of the car and takes off leaving his house behind.

Helga: Okay here's the deal, I need to pick up some more weed accessories. So you are going to take me to get them.

Arnold: Shouldn't we go to school first then do that?

Helga rolls her eyes.

Arnold: I mean Helga we already missed a day, we can't keep skipping.

Helga sits back in her seat and crosses her arms with an attitude.

Helga: Fine, let's go to school.

Arnold smiles.

Arnold: We should be there before the second period starts.

Helga just sits there and rolls her eyes.

Helga: Cool.

Arnold smiles while looking on the road. He hated the silence more than anything, he wanted one of them to say something;anything at this point.

Arnold: So um Helga?

Helga: Hm?

Arnold: How long has it been since you had this car?

Helga: Since I was 16. Bob got it for Olga for some stupid event but she didn't want it so he gave it to me.

Arnold: You never liked Olga didn't you?

Helga: Hell no, I hated her. Everyone always loved Olga. Bob sometimes even calls me Olga and even makes comparisons between us.

Arnold: Do you ever try to bond with your parents?

Helga rolls her eyes.

Arnold: It's just a thought Helga, maybe you should bond with them over an activity or something and get to know each other.

Helga: Arnold, I'm 18. When I graduate from high school I'll probably never see them again anyways.

Arnold starts to look sad

Arnold: Okay Helga, if that's what you want.

Helga: I mean it's not; but that's probably for the best.

Arnold reaches the school but drives by it; Helga of course notices this and looks at him with a confused expression.

Helga: I thought you wanted to go to school?

Arnold: I mean I do but you needed weed accessories right?

Helga: Yeah.

Arnold: So let's go get them.

Helga smiles at Arnold.

Arnold: So how long have you been smoking?

Helga: Since I was 16. I was at Rhonda's party and Sid was passing out edibles; ya know weed food and I tried one and it felt good to be high so that's how I started smoking weed.

Arnold: I never got high or drunk. Well I had alcohol before but I wasn't drunk- drunk. Expect for that one time where I got drunk at one of Rhonda's parties.

Helga: Wow what other bad boy secrets are you keeping from me Football head?

Arnold: Well, you learn something new everyday.

Helga yawns and lays her head on the top of the seat facing Arnold smiling. Arnold of course takes a glance at her and smiles back.

Helga's P.O.V: Oh my beloved Football head, you are so beautiful and I want you right now. Touching me and loving me just like how I want to touch and love you as well. Goddammit I love him so much. I just want to reach over there and start stroking his rock hard abs. God I want him so fucking bad man; no I need him right now. I need his lips on mine… wait a minute, am I okay? Why am I thinking like this? I mean of course I want him? Who doesn't with his loving personality and perfect body and face. But me thinking sexually about Arnold? Wow am I really turning perverted? I look back at Arnold and see him looking straight at the road, he looks so sexy when he's focused. I start to lean over to him a bit trying to grab his thigh. He obviously doesn't notice so I eventually grab it and he looks at me with a confused expression. I quickly take my hand off his thigh and look back out the window. Then suddenly he grabs my thigh and squeezes. I can feel his touch since I'm wearing a pink mini skirt. I can feel his hand going up and down on my thigh rubbing it. I have to admit I did like it. He suddenly drives around and finds some type of woods and parks the car there. He turns to me looking at me smiling with his cocky grin and continues rubbing my thigh. I Just sit here and look him deep in his green eyes; he moves closer to me until we are meters away from each other

Arnold: Oh Helga...

Helga: Oh Arnold...

Arnold: Why did you do that?

Helga: I'm sorry Arnold, I just couldn't help myself.

Arnold: What do you mean?

Helga: Nothing; it was the heat of the moment.

Arnold: Yeah.

Helga and Arnold smile at each other, then soon Arnold starts back up the car and continues to drive around. They sat in silence consuming their own thoughts and feelings about each other.

Arnold's P.O.V: I was used to Helga saying it was the heat of the moment. I mean she did when she kissed me on top of that FTI building when we were nine years old. I never knew if she meant it or not; I still never knew till this very day. I wished it was easy to read Helga like other girls; but I guess that's just the way she is. I know for a fact that I wouldn't change her for the world. I look over to see her almost falling asleep while I drive around looking for something for us to do. If she didn't want to go to school then it's fine with me; as long as I get to keep her company the whole way through. That's the thing about Helga, she's not like other girls and she doesn't even try to be. Unlike Rhonda she doesn't care about her fashion or how much money she's making. Unlike Phoebe she didn't really care about how smart she was and my goodness Helga was smart. Unlike Lila Helga wasn't sweet like a piece of candy all the time. Helga was sour and sweet. Helga was her own person and honestly I loved that about her; she was confident in who she was and she was proud. I looked over at Helga and she looked so peaceful sleeping there in the seat. I looked back on the road to see pancake parking lot place and drive the car there. When I got there I took off my sweatshirt and put it on Helga. Helga smiled and turned over with my sweatshirt. I smiled back at her and started the car up and drove us home. After a good two hours or so we finally reached Helga's house. I put the keys in her bag and carried her out of the car with her legs and arms around me. I knocked on her door and her mother came to open it; I told her that I was a friend from school and she let me in. When I got inside the house Helga's mom showed me where her room was and I placed her on the bed. I tucked her in and wrote a note saying to keep the sweatshirt. I kissed her forehead and went on my way to my house by foot. When I eventually got there I saw Gerald's car sitting in front of my door. I Walked to his car and he rolled down the window.

Arnold: Hey Gerald

Gerald looks at Arnold with a mad expression

Arnold: What's wrong?

Gerald: You.

Arnold: What did I do?

Gerald: You haven't texted, called or even spoken to me for the last two days.

Arnold: I thought that's what you wanted

Gerald: Of course not Arnold; you're my best friend

Arnold: Well Gerald you seem to busy with Phoebe so I thought you wanted some space.

Gerald: Arnold, doesn't mean Phoebe is my girlfriend doesn't mean I want our friendship to end. I thought you out of all people would've known that.

Arnold: Of course I know that Gerald. I wouldn't want our friendship to end either. I mean we have been best friends since the pre-k.

Gerald and Arnold laughs a bit

Gerald: So where have you been man? I haven't seen you for two days

Arnold: I know, I know, I know. I was going to go to school today but well Helga didn't want to.

Gerald: What does Helga have to do with you?

Arnold: Well uh as you see- well

Gerald: Arnold are you okay?

Arnold: I've been hanging around her a lot.

Gerald looks at him confused

Arnold: I know she comes off as a mean person but she's actually really nice and kind.

Gerald: You sure you're okay Arnold?

Arnold rolls his eyes

Arnold: Okay Gerald. (laughs)

Gerald: So you and Helga? Never thought of it

Now it's Arnold's turn to look at Gerald confused.

Arnold: Gerald I'm not dating anyone after you know who..

Gerald: Arnold, Lila is history. Don't you think it's time to remove her from your life?

Arnold: It's hard Gerald. I really did love her

Gerald: And she loved fucking other guys behind your back.

Arnold: I know Gerald but I don't something about her will always be in my heart; even if she did split it in two. Gerald rolls his eyes and sighs

Gerald: I'm just saying; I think you finally settling down with Helga will bring the "little love" you have for Lila to an end.

Arnold: What do you mean finally settling down with Helga?

Gerald: I think you'll find out when you listen to your heart instead of your brain. Anyways I have to head off; today is my day to bring my car to the shop.

Arnold: Your car looks fine.

Gerald: I know; I just take her to get cleaned and shit.

Arnold starts to laugh some.

Arnold: I wonder who you love more Phoebe or that car

Gerald: I love my Phoebe of course; but my car has a little more love than Phoebe. Don't tell her that though

Arnold: Have I ever told her any of your secrets? What happens between us guys stays between us guys. The girls don't need to know everything.

Gerald and Arnold share a quick laugh while Gerald starts up his car.

Gerald: Well I'll see you Arnold, I gotta bring my car to the shop.

Arnold: Bye man.

Arnold and Gerald do their famous handshake and Gerald drives off leaving Arnold in the shadows. Arnold soon goes to the mailbox and opens the door so all the random animals there can run out of the house and be free. Arnold rolls his eyes and walks inside the house. It's the same as usual, Miles (Arnold's father) and Ernie (Mr. Potts) fighting over the baseball game. His Grandpa Phil sitting there reading the newspaper, his Grandma Pookie is ridding on a fake horse because she thinks she's a cowboy today, Mr. Hyunh and Mr. Kokoshka while his wife Suzy and Mr. Hyunh's daughter Mai are trying to break them Arnold's Mom Stella is working on dinner. Arnold walks pass all the loud noises in the living room and goes to see his mom Stella.

Arnold: Mom, I'm home

Stella looks over and smiles at Arnold while continuing to cook some potatoes

Stella: Hey Hun

Arnold: You're cooking dinner tonight?

Stella: Yes, It should be ready in two hours

Arnold: Do you need any help?

Stella smiles at Arnold.

Stella: I could always use an extra pair of hands in the kitchen.

Arnold smiles at his mom and runs back to the sink to wash his hands and helps his mom cut some veggies at the table. Stella soon boils the potatoes and sits next to Arnold to help him cut some vegetables.

Stella: I thought you would've been hanging around your friends Arnold.

Arnold: I mean yeah they are cool and everything but sometimes I like to stay home.

Stella: That's nice. (smiles)

Arnold looks back into the living room to see if his family are fighting and of course they are. He soon looks back to cutting the onion he was on.

Arnold: So how long have they been auguring like this?

Stella(smiles): Oh for about an hour or so.

Arnold laughs a bit.

Arnold: Yeah that sounds like them.

Stella and Arnold share a quick laugh.

Stella: So how's school going lately?

Arnold looks around using his eyes. He hasn't been to school for two days and he knows she couldn't just tell his mom that so he had to make up something quickly.

Stella: Arnold?

Arnold: Yes mom?

Stella: School? How's it going? You never did answer that.

Arnold: Oh it's- um well- hmm...

Stella: Something bothering you?

Arnold: No-no- no. It's just that well...

Stella: Arnold dear, if you have something to say just say it.

Arnold: It's going. It's pretty hard but it's going

Stella: Well if you ever need anything don't be scared to ask me.

Arnold: Thanks mom.(smiles)

Stella: Anything for you honey. (Yelling) Miles?

Miles (Arnold's dad) comes in the kitchen.

Miles: Yes babe?

Stella: My back hurts.

Miles smiles and goes behind Stella to give her a good back rub.

Miles: Hey Arnold.

Arnold: Hey dad.

Miles: I didn't know you were here.

Arnold: Well dad you were arguing with Mr. Potts so that's probably why.

Miles: Hey he thinks his team is better than mines.

Arnold: Dad everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Miles rolls his eyes while continuing to run Stella's back.

Stella: Hey Arnold, can you run to the store and pick up some broccoli?

Arnold: Sure mom, how many bags?

Stella: Two should be fine.

Stella gives Arnold 10 dollars to get two bags of broccoli. He soon grabs his extra jacket that's hanging on the hook and walks to the store to get some broccoli. On his way there he saw a girl he hoped he would never see a again...
