Author's Notes- I'm writing this because all the Kingdom Hearts fics suck.

Sora looked around the barren landscape. Not a sign of life, heartless, nobody, or otherwise. It only made him worry about his friends, but he pushed the worry back and focused on his task: Find the Master Chain. He walked through the hot, dry desert, looking for anything- a crack in the ground, a hole in a rock- that looked remotely like a keyhole.

He looked up at the sky, and the one cloud in it. It hadn't really moved the whole time he'd been there. It had an odd shape to it.

"Wait a second!" he suddenly shouted. He pointed the Keyblade, now in the form of the Decisive Pumpkin, at the cloud, and summoned his strength. The world grew dark around him, and a beam shot out of the Keyblade, right at the cloud. He was floating up, up, up... He looked down and saw a black dot, several hundred feet below him, that he thought was king Mickey, but might've been Goofy. It faded away before he could make up his mind, and he found himself somewhere completely different.

The room's walls were made of stone. So was the floor. In fact, everything was made of stone. Sora looked around and saw that there was a keyhole on the wall behind him, with an inscription below it. It read "To the weilder of the unlocking blade:

You have found the way of truth.

But be wary, for truth is decided by the heart's point of view."

Someone had also carved the words "Keyblade and heart become one" next to it.

"Wait..." Sora thought aloud. "That means someone's already been here!"

He pointed the Keyblade at the hole, and when nothing happened, shoved it in manually. It fit perfectly. He turned, and the wall disappeared. What he saw amazed him.

The room was very small, but it wasn't the size that mattered. The walls and ceiling were covered with carvings. Upon closer inspection, they all turned out to be names and pictures of keychains. A big, gold plaque on the far wall was inscribed with "Proof of Existence"

"Oh! These all must've been Keyblade weilders!" He made a mental note to leave his name and a picture of the Kingdom Key. He turned his attention to the center of the room.

There was a pedestal with an indentation on the top of it. Sora instinctively knew to put the Keyblade here. He did, and a golden beam connected his heart to the Keyblade. There was a brilliant flash, and the Keyblade returned to his hand, completely transformed.

It looked as if it were made of solid gold, although it weighed only a few pounds. Sora inspected the keychain and found that it was a golden heart. The tip of the blade was three blunt prongs sticking out, and there was a small, black gem set in the handle. He looked at it once more and swung it. It was perfect for him.
