AN: A super short chapter. I hope you like it.

The next morning around three am, Ivan is jolted awake when he hears Tracy calling out after having a nightmare about the accident. In her room, Tracy sits on the bed with her knees pulled to her chest, repeating I'm sorry, mom, while tears stream down her cheeks. Tracy's Aunt stayed the night and was woken up as well. She heads down the hall to Tracy's room, slowly walks in, and sits next to her niece.

"Aunt May, I'm sorry I woke up," Tracy says.

"Shh, sweetheart, it's ok, don't talk, just breathe," May says, hugging her niece to help her calm down.

Ivan stands in the doorway. He sees Tracy has fallen back asleep. May pulls the covers over her and walks up to him.

"Is she ok? I heard her call out," Ivan asks.

"She is fine, Ivan, just had a nightmare about the accident, May replies.

Ivan turns around as May pulls the door behind her closing it as quietly as she can. They walk down the hall to head back to their rooms.

"Would a service dog stop her from having nightmares?" Ivan asks.

"No, but it can be trained to help calm Tracy down after having one since she can have a panic attack after waking up," May replies.

"If you have time, could you teach me how I can help Dove, Tracy, calm down when she has a panic attack? I felt so useless yesterday until Marco showed up," Ivan says.

"Of course, I write them down and give them to you before breakfast," May says before opening the door to her room.

"Thank you," Ivan says.

A few hours later, everyone heads to the dining room for breakfast. May hands Ivan a notepad with tips on how to help Tracy when she has a panic attack. Everyone sits at the table and waits for the Steward to place their plates in front of them.

"Honey, after breakfast, your uncle is going to meet us at Zandar Helpful Paws so we can meet your new four-legged friend," May says.

"Won't her and sir Bobby's rent increase once Tracy brings the dog to the apartment?" Ivan asks.

"No, since the dog is a service animal and not a pet, legally, the landlord can't charge a pet rent or security deposit," May says.

"That's great, but how can I be sure that the dog will be happy living in Bobby and I's apartment," Tracy says.

"Don't worry, sweetheart. I called Zandar Helpful Paws as soon as they opened and explained everything. They have an adorable Toy Poodle. Her name is Dimond. The worker I spoke with said it would be the perfect fit for apartment living," May says.

"I still feel guilty about having you and Uncle Marco paying for my service dog," Tracy says.

"You have nothing to feel guilty about, sweetheart. Your uncle says to consider it an extremely early birthday gift," May says.

"Ok," Tracy says as she starts to eat.

Tracy is unsure why she is nervous as she, her Aunt, uncle Marco, and Ivan walk up to Zandar Helpful Paws. Ivan takes her hand and gently squeezes it. A 6-month-old Carmel brown toy Poodle puppy and her trainer walk up to the group.

"Hello, May, Marco, and Tracy; it's nice to see you again," the trainer says.

"Yes, Akki, it's nice to see you as well, and thank you for helping my niece," May says.

"I'm happy to help," Akki says.

"Yes, we appreciate it," Marco says.

"Tracy, I'd like to introduce you to Diamond," Akki says.

The introduction is interrupted when a few other workers sprint up. Tracy's hands begin to shake a few seconds after the workers suddenly invade her personal space asking her if they could take pictures with her or even her autograph.

Diamond notices her new handler is beginning to have a panic attack. The toy poodle gently pulls on Tracy's sock, and she takes a few steps back before sitting on the floor. Then Diamond starts to nudge her nose against Tracy's right hand to help calm her down.

"Why is Diamond tapping her nose on Tracy's hand," Ivan asks.

"It's a ground technique to help Tracy calm down," Akki says.

May wasn't sure if Diamond could properly act as a brace for Tracy, but she was proven wrong when the Toy Poodle locked her legs and allowed Tracy to press her hand against her shoulder blades to help Tracy stand.

"Wow, that is amazing how quickly Diamond was able to calm Tracy down," Ivan says.

"I'm amazed she was able to hold up Tracy considers she is more than double DIamond's weight," May asks.

"Tracy, how about you go out back and play with Diamond to bond with her some more while May, your uncle, and I finish the paperwork," Akki says.

"Ok," Tracy says as Akki hands Diamond's leash to her.

Tracy spent the next few minutes playing with Diamond in the yard behind Zandar Helpful Paws. She is still amazed by how quickly Diamond or other stay animals bond with her. After noticing how tired Diamond was, she walked Domaond back inside to get some water.

"Tracy, everything is all set you can take Diamond home with you to Amber Beach," Akki says.

"Thanks, but what about my landlord?" Tracy asks.

"If you can give me the phone number, I'll call the landlord and explain everything," Akki replies.

"Thank you again," Tracy says as she and Diamond head out the front door.

Maybe this mental health day trip to Zander was a good idea. After all, Tracy thinks as Diamond jumps into the car.
