The Funeral and the Rebellion
(Kaliida Medical Centre, Naboo System)
After getting his chip removed, Hunter went to the room that had Crosshair undergoing a procedure that lessened the effect of Order 66. At the console was Nala Se. She used to have a firm opinion that the clones were all Kaminoan properties but after conversing with Shaak Ti and through some persuasion by Commander Neyo, she began to open her mind and started assisting in the removal of the chips as well as prepare for the day, the order would come through.
"Clone Trooper Crosshair is undergoing treatment for the effect. It's an effective treatment that was first tried on our first case of Order 66 three years ago. He will recover." Said Nala Se as she looked at Hunter.
"Thank you, Madame Se" replied Hunter.
"Think nothing of it. Although I do have a favour to ask." Said Nala Se as she turned towards the leader of the Bad Batch.
"What is it?" Asked Hunter as he too turned to face her.
"I would need to extract just a few genetic samples from Omega. It is vital that I have these samples for the future of this rebellion. Would it be okay to do so?" asked Nala Se.
Hunter's face had confusion written all over. "Why would you need her genetic samples?"
"I will be honest. The samples recovered by Delta Squad can only be viable for so long. Omega has pure first generation DNA. I cloned her to be the genetic replication of her progenitor. If we are to have a long lasting rebellion and a future for all clones, I must ask this favour with your permission of course." Explained Nala Se
Hunter contemplated and replied, "It's not my decision to decide that. It's hers. I'll relay the information that you told me and see what she decides."
Nala Se nodded in appreciation and the two turned to watch Crosshair undergo his treatment. At the same time, the rest of the Bad Batch met up with the Jedi. Echo reunited with Ahsoka and hugged her after being told of what happened to Anakin. Tech and Wrecker talked with Obi Wan Kenobi on what they been up to. Omega was talking with Plo Koon and Aayla. Omega was fascinated by the Kel Dor and Twillek Jedi. All of a sudden, Bail came into the meeting room and said, "We are ready to take you all to Naboo now."
Obi Wan nodded and the group went with Bail on their way to Tantive III. Hunter and Crosshair, who had a small bandage on the side of his head, joined up with the group midway through the hallway. "Omega, can we talk before we head out to Naboo? Echo, Wrecker, Tech, you may want to stay for this discussion. This won't take long" Said Hunter.
Obi Wan nodded and the group carried on. Hunter knelt down to Omega and said, "Kid, Nala Se would like to see you and…would like your permission to extract your DNA samples."
Omega was confused. "Why? Why does she need my samples?"
Hunter then, explained what Nala Se told him to both Omega and the group. "Listen, kid. It's your decision. If you don't want to do it, Nala Se understands."
Omega contemplated and then, without hesitation, said, "She can get her samples. After all, I'm part of the Grand Army of the New Republic. It's my duty." She finished with a smile.
Hunter had a proud look. So did the rest of the Bad Batch. "Okay kid. Let's get your DNA samples taken before we head to Naboo."
Whilst the Bad Batch takes Omega to Nala Se, the rest of the medical centre was being evacuated. It wouldn't be long before the Empire knows that this medical station was the temporary headquarters of the New Republic. So moving fast, the personnel moved various equipments and supplies aboard one of the Acclamators as well as moving all the patients to the medical frigates. They moved with swift speed and after Omega's samples were taken, Nala Se moved to join the group to Naboo. All the fleets went to various planets and systems to hide and await further orders. The Kaliida Medical Centre was now completely abandoned and powered down.
(Theed, Naboo)
The Tantive III landed at the birthplace of Padme Amidala. It docked inside the Theed Hangar. Inside the ship's conference room, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Aayla, Plo Koon, Yoda, Bail, the clone commanders, the Bad Batch and Nala Se began to discuss on their next course of action.
"So what happens to the twins, Grand Master Yoda?" asked Commander Gree of the 41st Elite Corps.
"Hidden. Safe, the children must be kept," answered Yoda.
"We must take them somewhere where the Sith won't sense their presence," added Obi-Wan.
"So, do we split them up?" asked Commander Bly of the 327th Star Corps.
"My wife and I will take Luke. We've always talked of adopting a baby." said Bail. "He will be loved with us."
"And what about Leia?" asked Obi-Wan.
"To Tatooine. To Skywalker's remaining family, send her" answered Yoda.
"I will take the girl and watch over her." said Obi-Wan.
"And what of me, Master Yoda?" asked Plo Koon.
"Complete young Ahsoka's training and protect the surviving Younglings, you will," answered Yoda.
Plo Koon nodded in agreement.
"We have already started constructing our hidden bases. The 212th Attack Battalion under the command of Commander Waxer will be on Tatooine with General Kenobi. The 501st Legion, along with the 104th 'Wolfpack' Battalion and the rest of my 7th Sky Corps, will be on Yavin IV. The 21st Nova Corps will be on Hoth, while the 41st Elite Corps and the 327th Star Corps will be on Kashyyyk and Felucia respectively. The 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps will have minor bases scattered around the sectors to listen in on and get intel on the Empire's movements, while the now Jedi Guard will go with you to Dagobah, Master Yoda. And each base will have a small cloning facility of their own, with a detachment from the Kamino Security Team guarding each facility along with the rest of the clones. We'll stay hidden and build up our forces until the time is right," reported Cody.
Nala Se then went up alongside Gauze, "We have acquired fresh genetic samples to keep cloning for another 50 years. We have also managed to create an anti-aging serum that works that can extend the lifespan of the clones three times longer. It shall be delivered to the individual bases once we have it mass-produced."
"I hate to address the elephant in the room but what do we do with Maul? We still got him in the brigs on the Tribunal under heavy guard." Asked Rex as he looked around.
Because of the chaos, most had forgotten that they had Maul in the brigs. Earlier on, two Coruscant Guard troopers, who were guarding him, were about to kill him if it wasn't for the intervention of some of the 322nd troopers patrolling around the brig. They stunned the shock troopers and took them to the medical wing for chip extraction while at the same time, placed four troopers to guard Maul in rotations. Yoda pondered on the question and said, "Need of him, we do. Remain under heavy guard he must but under the Jedi Guard. Take him to Dagobah, we shall."
"I shall have a transport ready to take him to the Yaddle, Sir." Said Rex.
Ahsoka stood up. "I'll get the boys ready to depart for Yavin IV, but is this the last time we might see each other, Master Yoda?"
"Hard to see, the future is. Maybe, maybe not. Guide us, the Force will," stated Yoda.
"Before we depart, I think it's best that we all attend to Senator Amidala's upcoming funeral," said Commander Bacara of the 21st Nova Corps.
Shortly after the meeting concluded, Ahsoka had asked Bail if he could have both C-3PO and R2 under his care but before wiping C-3PO's memory, she took the memory card out of C-3PO and inserted a new blank memory. She gave the memory card to R2 for safekeeping.
(Later that evening)
The precession was an awfully sombre sight. All the citizens of Theed had gathered themselves and arrived to see their ex-Queen of Naboo be buried. They lined the streets with candles and lanterns lit, and in dark clothing. All were silent as the cart carrying Padme Amidala's body came by. She lay still, her eyes closed, looking completely at peace even. Her hair was curled up and filled up with small flowers. A blue dress adorned her body, with her belly showing the very late signs of pregnancy (which was a carefully designed hologram to make it look like she was still pregnant). Clutched in her hands was the very same japor snippet that Anakin gave to her years ago. Padme had an open casket, with the cart that it was in was being pulled by two Guarlaras. Leading her precession was her entire family and her closest friends. Among them were Jar Jar Binks and Rugor Nass, who also came to pay their respects to the late Senator of Naboo. Following behind the cart was Queen Apailana of Naboo and Sio Bibble, the Governor of Naboo. Handmaidens surrounded the procession as it moved.
Watching from alleyways and behind building corridors, and wearing cloaks, were Bail, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Aayla, Plo Koon, Yoda, Byph, Ganodi, Gungi, Katooni, Petro, Zatt and all the clones who attended the meeting paid their respects for the dead Senator.
For the clones, it was something personal. Like the Jedi Order, there were some Senators who saw the clones as living beings and not tools. Only three Senators have ever personally earned the respect of the clone troopers: Padme Amidala, Bail Organa and Riyo Chuchi of Pantora, and it only increased more when it was discovered that the three of them were working together on a very long bill to advocate personhood for the clone troopers once the Clone Wars were over.
(Somewhere in the Geonosis System)
A trio of brand-new and grey-painted Venator-Class Star Destroyers of the newly-christened Imperial Navy that were hovering proudly above Geonosis was truly an imposing sight. Along with the Venators, several V-Wings were patrolling the area.
On the bridge of one of the Venators, Darth Vader stride across the raised command walkway as the non-clone Imperial naval officers and the men in the sunken pits glanced in both awe and fear at their new Supreme Commander of the Imperial Forces. The Sith Lord stopped at the Emperor's side, also present were Admiral Wilhuff Tarkin of the Imperial Navy and Director Orson Krennic of the newly-established Imperial Security Bureau's Advanced Weapons Research Division. Vader crossed his arms as the four of them observed the construction of the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station, which was better known as the Death Star.
Darth Sidious smiled wickedly as he took in the moment. The Jedi were all but extinct, Lord Vader had embraced his true self, and his superweapon was well underway.
The Age of the Galactic Empire had truly begun.
(Dagobah)
The Acclamator-Class, Yaddle, landed in the swampy landscape of the planet and coming down the ship's boarding ramp were the old Coruscant Guard, now renamed as the Jedi Guard, along with Grand Master Yoda, to build their new base on the planet, while an outpost will be constructed on Dagobah's moon. Maul followed up, still encased in the Mandalorian prison case with four Jedi Guard members guarding him at all times.
(Yavin IV)
Jedi Master Plo Koon led Ahsoka Tano, Byph, Ganodi, Gungi, Katooni, Petro, Zatt and the clone troopers of the 501st Legion, the 322nd Legion, the 7th Sky Corps and the 104th 'Wolfpack' Battalion to the partially-constructed base that was located at the jungle moon's Massassi Site.
Plo Koon then stood up on a nearby crate and gave a speech: "These are dark times, there is no denying. The galaxy is facing the greatest threat that has ever known in the form of the Galactic Empire. But during these dark times, we will prevail. We will build up our forces and together, when the time is right, we shall bring down the Empire! Now, who is with me?"
Ahsoka, the Younglings and all of the clone troopers cheered as they raised their lightsabers and blasters in the air.
(Felucia)
Aayla Secura and Bly (whom she had a close friendship with ever since the First Battle of Geonosis) watched as the clones of the 327th Star Corps began the construction of their hidden base on the colourful and humid jungle planet. Said base was to also incorporate the remaining former Separatist strongholds by connecting them with reinforced underground tunnels, while also using the leftover equipment and battle droids of the now-defunct Confederacy of Independent Systems for their own use.
"Maybe there is hope for the galaxy after all," said Aayla as she continued to watch the base's construction.
(Kashyyyk)
Gree led his men of the 41st Elite Corps, along with two of his Wookiee allies, Chewbacca and Tarfful, to the new hidden base. What they saw was that the new hidden base was being constructed with help from the Wookiee tribes. Gree looked on with happiness and hope, a hope that they all needed in this time of darkness.
(Hoth)
Bacara led his men of the 21st Nova Corps to the chosen site for their new hidden base, which was located at the frigid planet's Clabburn Range, and begin construction of what was to become known as Echo Base. Bacara looked up to the sky with a new sense of hope as he thought: We can win this war, I can feel it.
(Crait)
Neyo led his men of the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps to the entrance of an abandoned mine that they have chosen for their new hidden outpost in the Crait System. Just before entering the mine, the Marshal Commander thought to himself: This is it. A new war has begun. Thank the Force I was able to discover the true nature of the inhibitor chip and get rid of them off of most of my fellow clones.
(Aldera, Alderaan)
The Tantive III flew down and landed on one of the platforms of the Royal Palace of Alderaan. Once the boarding ramp was lowered, Bail carried Luke to one of the balconies where his beloved wife, Queen Breah of Alderaan, sat as she watched the beauty of her planet.
Bail smiled, knowing that Breah would love their newly adopted son. The queen turned to see her consort and the little bundle of joy in his arms. Breah smiled as Bail gave Luke to her and the queen clutched the baby in her arms. The couple looked extremely happy as they relished the moment.
Stone and three of his best men watched the scene from a safe distance, not wanting to interrupt the couple. They had taken on the mission to protect Luke Skywalker, whose surname was now Organa, from Imperial eyes. Looking up at the sky, Stone thought to himself: Let's hope that the twins destroy the darkness that has engulfed the galaxy.
(Tatooine)
The 212th Attack Battalion arrived on the desert planet in the Negotiator, which was safely hidden underground. As the foundation of their new hidden base, located in the Jundland Wastes, had already been constructed, Waxer along with Captain Boil, Lieutenant Trapper and Wooley watched as Obi-Wan got onto his BARC Speeder while gently holding onto Leia. Before leaving for the Lars homestead, Obi-Wan turned to Waxer and said: "Now, we wait until the time is right."
"Yes, sir. And I know I've said this before, but we, the proud 212th Attack Battalion of the 7th Sky Corps, stands behind you, sir!" said Waxer as he saluted, with his men following his example.
Obi-Wan smiled before heading off to the Lars homestead with Waxer and his men following closely in their BARC speeders.
(Sometime later)
It had been a long journey for Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, from his Youngling days, to the Clone Wars and the Rise of the Galactic Empire, he had faced so many challenges along the way. He rode his speeder all the way to the Lars homestead. Obi-Wan dismounted with the clones dismounting as well and spread out to keep an eye out. Gently, Obi Wan gave the baby girl to her new guardians: Owen Lars (who was Anakin's stepbrother) and his wife, Beru Whitesun. Beru gave the hooded Jedi Master a gentle smile as she took the sleeping baby. As the woman walked over to her husband to show him their niece, Obi-Wan looked at them one last time before returning to his speeder.
Meanwhile, Owen and Beru, while holding Leia in their arms, looked over as the twin suns of Tatooine set on an age and in the morning, would rise on a new hope that will come to the galaxy.
Fives Years Later
A young man looks up from his work and across the sea of abandoned ships left for salvage, he contemplated on things until a hand patted his shoulder.
"Hey kid, we better get this going before the foreman yells at us." Said the man with armour hidden beneath his cloak.
The man turned and said, "Alright, Shaker. Let's go."
Little did they know, their lives were about to be changed.
There we have it! The end of Revenge of the Sith! This is not the end of Part One by any means at all! Instead, Part One will, if you haven't figured it out, include Jedi Fallen Order and parts of Season one and two of Rebels. Part Two will cover the rest of Rebels and then, A New Hope. Part Three will cover The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi. Part Four will then, cover parts of both The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett with Part Five covering the sequel trilogy with a huge amount of AU you will all be glad to hear. There are certain parts of the sequel trilogy I liked and parts of it I didn't, so I'll be balancing them all. Also, as you can see, I made the decision to swap Luke and Leia. Why I hear you ask. It's because there's not a lot of stories (from what I can see anyway) that had Leia and Luke switch places and I wanted to explore that street. Plus, this is an AU story and doesn't get more AU than this!
Doesn't mean they adopt different personalities, but they may have a mix of personalities. You will all see when Part Two arrives later on. Anyway, the next chapter will start off Jedi Fallen Order and will cover the game as well as certain other events that happens during the game. I hope you all like this chapter and I'll see you next time!
