A/N So? BTW I own.,….NOTHING! Thanks.

It was as if the city was wiped of the earth in a matter of moments. Civilian and Pokemon cries were heard for miles as on the day of the Grand Festival, were thousands flocked towards the popular city simply ceased. All the electronics went down, heartbeats dropped fast and all that was left was silence. The League had responded fast, the news that the CEO of the only Pokeball Manufacturing company for the globe was being attack, the police and special forces had gone off, but it was too late.

The only thing they had before all this happened was a live recording of a Rocket Admin with a mask, holding Cole Dustman's head, the body in the background still squirting out blood, indication of a quick death. The Admin's words had made some of the veterans shiver, as his voice rang out, "You're precious city is under Team Rockets control now. We have taken away your only means of capturing Pokemon, we have taken your city and your people. Know this people of Kanto, this is only the beginning of this war."

With that the feed was cut and a few seconds later as they were approaching the city, they saw a green cloud of gas surrounding everything. Not knowing what to do, the Special Forces called the Elite four with only Bruno and Agatha answering. Soon enough the elite trainers were there, not willing to go into the cloud, yet unwilling to just leave it be.

"This is highly unusual. Even Pokemon seem to have been affected by this. I wonder what they gain out of this." Bruno grunted as he gazed at the cloud only a kilometer away. Reports say that the cloud was slowly growing and would eventually reach other cities, something that wasn't allowed. So with some quick work, they had already set up walls that spanned 40 feet high to keep the cloud from spreading, using small tiny fans in the walls to keep it at bay, unable to properly disperse it.

"While we cannot be for certain, this cloud is starting to show signs of slowing down. It might take a few years but eventually the cloud will disperse naturally and nature will run its path to clear the air enough for us to go in." Bruno heard the scientists talk to each other before he noticed a figure in the shadows. "Everyone back up! Something is coming out."

It was a scene straight out of a horror movie. Clothes torn up, rotting flesh barely hanging on, in some areas you could see the bone, an unnatural black colour as the figure slowly limped towards the remaining part of the wall not up. Bruno felt his stomach churn as he saw the wide mouth, tar like saliva dripping down and empty eye sockets as the victim of the chemical disaster slowly made his way towards them.

"Sir… that's…that's a zombie…" A scared police man said, confirming everyone's thoughts. Bruno grunted, "Something like that. Get the last wall up now! Who knows if there are more coming towards us and mentioned that to the others as well."

"No need Bruno. I have already taken care of the problem. It seems a novice cop thought it was smart to confront this…thing. The fact that his insides are now being chewed on as he claws away on the floor says a lot about his tenacity…too bad. Finish the wall. No more games, let no one go in or nothing come out. Whatever Team Rocket did….its most likely irreversible. So we'll try and starve them to death or something."

Bruno grunted in disgust at the image portrayed before gazing at the slowly approaching shadows in the mists, right before the earth rose up and created a divide between Celadon and the rest of the World. "Agatha….Lance will need to know."

The reply was swift, "Indeed. I'll try to contact him. It's been a day since he went in the Mountain."

Before they could continue, another voice sounded from behind Bruno causing him to turn. It was a Ranger his face scrunched up in fear. "What is it Ranger?" 'This won't be good.' "This is about the champion sir… his injured and in the hospital." Bruno narrowed his eyes, "So? That's typically the state his in after Mount Silver." The Ranger shook his head, "I understand sir but this time, the champion spoke of a cloaked man with blue eyes…he, his in the ICU."

Bruno's eyes widened at, not once had Lance required the ICU nor spoke of such an individual. Immediately, he set off towards the hospital, "Agat-" "I heard. I'm on my way."

"Do you think it's Team Rocket…"

Agatha's voice held a distinct tone Bruno hasn't heard before. "I fear this might be something different Bruno."

Scene Change

Lance could only stare at the ceiling of his room as he tried to understand what happened. It had been going so well, he had reached the usual path, seeking to reach the top to meet up with him, only to be stopped by a cloak figure.

*flashback*

Lance looked around the usual path. It was unusually quiet, something Mount Silver didn't do. Thankfully, years of experience taught him one thing, and that listening to his gut was a good thing. So when his gut told him to duck and roll, that's what he did only to see a black figure fly past him and smash into a boulder. Said boulder was destroyed. 'What the hell?' "Who are you?"

Lance watched as the figure stood up, a dark cloak covering its whole body, the only thing visible was the mouth and two glowing blue eyes. "How did you get into Mount Silver? Well?" The figure chuckled, "You think that the Silver Gate is the only entrance to a mountain that goes for miles and miles? Do you truly think yourself so great and perfect that, the thought that you missed something is impossible? Truly, just as arrogant as always."

Lance gritted his teeth in anger, before taking a deep breath. "You still haven't answered my questions." The figure shook its head, "Your questions? Don't you already know the answer Lance? I thought I made it quite clear when I wrote it on that Admin's stomach… I guess next time I should use a body for each letter you know. Really brings the message across." Lance paled slightly at the revelation of who this figure is. "So, you're the one who attacked Team Rocket? Why?"

He could see the smile, that twisted look filled with anger, hate and a thirst for revenge. "Why? Is that really the question you should be asking me… of all people!? Hahaha, truly an idiot stands before me. It's simple Lance. I overheard them. The Admin said something about Team Rocket being the best, so I simply put that to the test."

Lance scowled, unwilling to believe all that destruction for such a silly reason. But he pressed on, "And the message? What does it mean." Here the figure chuckled lightly, "Why, it's simple. If you can't figure it out, if you don't think outside the box… not only will you never find out who I am but you'll never beat me."

Lance was about to ask another question when suddenly the earth shook around him and before he could react, it exploded like a volcano, sending him flying back by a hundred feet or so. He hadn't been prepared and so now his punishment was struggling to breath and stay conscious. He could only hear the voice again, "One day you'll see me again Lance. One day. _ Until then, try and live."

He caught a glimpse of a dark shape that towered over the figure before they both disappeared.

*flashback end*

When he woke up, he ahd called forth Dragonite and started making his way back, though not before taking a glimpse of the crater. He at first thought that the explosion was small yet condensed, however the crater that was forever imbedded there spoke differently. While he had flown backwards around 100 feet, he had barely made it out of the crater. The sheer size still made Lance pause at the thought of that dark shaped figure behind the individual.

'He could have easily killed me. In one shot. Was he playing with me the whole time? In the beginning, did he allow me to dodge? No. He wasn't planning on letting me live. Something changed. Something went different. Who are you? What are you?'

Lance was broken out of his thoughts as Bruno and Agatha walked in. He raised his eyebrow at them, silently asking what's going on. Agatha went first, being the more blunt and out spoken than Bruno. "Lance, while you were on your trip to Mount Silver, it seems as if Team Rocket attacked again."

Lance slowly sat up on his bed, concern all over his freshly scarred face. "What happened?" Bruno scowled and looked away, while Agatha glared at the floor, stranger reactions from them both something that Lance wasn't used to. "Team Rocket…they attacked the CEO of Silph Co. inside of Celadon city, effectively crippling the company worldwide for now, until they erected a new CEO."

Lance nodded, while sad to hear that it still shouldn't warrant such reactions from them. "What else?" Agatha let out a sigh, "It seems as if Team Rocket found Sheymoor Tirval again." That name caused Lance to growl, he remembered the things Tirval used during his time with the old Team Rocket. The screams as people scratched out their own eyeballs, as blisters appeared and popped, oozing out blood and the many, many liquid containers filled with intestines of all kinds of Pokemon and people. "What…what did he do this time."

"It seems he has been working on something more long-term. We haven't seem something like this before. The closest thing we can compare it too is that of zombies from movies and games." Lance looked sick, "Zombies? What are you talking about?" Agatha sighed, "We already told everyone to keep it under wraps for now. The cover story is that Celadon was his by chemical warfare and the resulting explosion caught of all the power. The chemicals in the air are still present and as such Celadon city is currently surrounded by tall walls, with small fans to keep the chemicals away. The real story is, we don't know what is going on just that the people and Pokemon in Celadon have rotting flesh, no eyes, ooze black liquid and can still walk. They also hunger for human flesh it seems. So again, the closest thing to compare is zombies. "

Agatha fell silent, watching as Lance gripped his bed sheets tightly. After a few moments, Agatha walked out, leaving those two together. Bruno decided to speak up. "What are we going to do Lance? First this and then Team Rocket."

Lance sighed aloud, "I don't know what to do about the cloaked figure. I don't have enough information to properly do anything there. However, Team Rocket…they will pay…in blood. Bruno, tell the G-Men to get ready. It's time we strike back." Bruno nodded, happy to be doing something, before making his way out. He stopped at the door though, "The hooded figure…did he say something?"

Lance glared down at his hands, the small scars still fresh. "Only some babbling nonsense. Nothing to worry about." Bruno nodded before leaving Lance alone in his own thoughts. 'One day, you'll see me again Lance. One day. Once he reaches my level.'

Scene Change

Leaf could only watch in shocked silence at the TV, "—don city has been bombarded with chemicals from Team Rocket, the cloud forcing Elite Four Member Bruno to create an encompassing wall to maintain the spread. No one knows the true extend of the damage, or even if there are survivors with the last footage being that of a Team Rocket Admin declaring was on Kanto.

News report say that similar things have happened across the world, various cities being attack by the regional crime syndicates, as if this attack was coordinated. Is this truly a simple coincidence, or have the criminals banded together in an effort to cause massive destruction? Stay tuned for more information."

Leaf closed the TV unable to keep watching, before a knock on the door broke her out of her thoughts. Swallowing slightly in fear, she released Frondoso who read the mood properly, whipping out the vines in case. As the knocking continued, she slowly reached the knob and opened it revealing Gary. "Yo Leaf! What's taken you so long, sheesh!" Leaf stared dumbly at him before she started glaring. "You inconsiderate asshole! Why would you do that to me you little piece of shit."

Gary raised an eyebrow in return, "The hell is your problem." Leaf growled, "Whatever, what do you want." Gary rolled his eyes, "I'm here to check up on you, duh. I finished training with Clypeus, and I was wondering if you wanted to play on the game cube."

Leaf sighed, "yea yea, whatever. Come on in, I'll have it ready. SHOES OFF YOU BASTARD I JUST CLEANED THE FLOORS!" Gary raised his hand, retracting his foot, before taking off the offending shoes and leaving them outside. "Jeez, is it tha-" "Finish that sentence and I'll do to you what I did to Danny." Gary shut his mouth and gulped audibly, the fact that Danny had to go and get plastic surgery for his…tool after Leaf finished using a screw for…something.

Gary could only watch as Leaf went from angry and glaring at him, to smiling brightly like a perfect little angle, causing him to sweat drop. 'Perfect! Now how about some Game Cube."

After a few moments of just listening to the game music going on, Leaf suddenly asked, "You heard about Celadon?" Gary grunted, "Yea." Awkward silence wasn't something Gary was used to and he decided he didn't like the feeling especially seeing Lead from the corner of his eye, twitching—something she doesn't do unless she's scared or worried. That whole demeanour just didn't sit well with him and so he spoke up, "While it sucks what happened with Celadon, the backlash of the CEO dying will affect the whole of the world."

At her confused look, he went on "Silph Co. is the only company that mass produced Pokeballs, including the variety of different Pokeballs. The impact will make prices skyrocket for the first year or so, since getting a CEO will be difficult, they will need to let people go because their finances will take a hit. Then after the CEO is elected, it would take another year or so before things start to stabilize and people go back to their jobs. Theory is that by the time we become Pokemon trainers everything will have been put back into place."

Leaf nodded, "In theory okay…in reality thought?" Gary sighed before pressing pause. "In reality, until the League stops the crime syndicates, things will be getting progressively worse and worse. Prices will keep going up, cities won't be as safe, stores, especially PokeMarts will have serious problems."

Leaf nodded dejectively, "Gary, you think Ash is gonna be okay?...Will we be okay?" The tremble in her voice made Gary want to punch something…preferably someone with a Team Rocket shirt on. He did something he hasn't done to anyone but his own sister, he put his arms around her and hugged her close to him. "We are all going to be okay got it. You and I are both training are asses off and we both know how Ash gets when he is determined. He'll probably leave us in the dust, if he hasn't already." Leaf chuckled mslightly at that.

"Yea you're right. But even then, we are going to help him…right?" Gary nodded, "Of course, someone has to stop him from going into trouble." They both had a laugh at their friend who was a trouble magnet. "Come on, enough mopping around, time to show you you're place in video games girlie." Leaf narrowed her eyes at him, "Did you just say what I think you said." Seeing his smirk, she growled, "You mother-"

Scene Change

"The reports say that the attack has left the Pokeball company in shatters and it will take months if not years to recover from this blow."

Oak sighed tiredly. The Celadon incident was something straight out of a nightmare. He, as well as all Regional Professors and high-profile trainers were informed of what really happened and the uncertainty of it all. 'Who would have thought, one person could cause so much damage.'

Sheymoor Tirval was a known name in the scientific community, showing an aptitude with chemicals and biology, he was one of Professor Birch's top students. Oak had met the young man a few times and was happy to see such a brilliant mind. It wasn't until the corpse of five-year-old Mary was found; her entrails harvested after death by lung failure due to whatever chemicals Sheymoor pumped into her.

He shook is head, dispelling the thoughts of that picture. 'Time to check on Ash and…Surtr.' Even after saying that name a few times, the shiver crawling up his spine was ever present. Making his way to the backyard, it took him a moment to realise that Ash and Surtr weren't there. Scowling at the unexpected event, he went around the lab trying to locate them only to turn up empty. Shrugging his shoulders, he figured they might have gone into the forest, since this week Ash was given a reprieve from the teachings.

The ringing from his computer shocked him into action, moving quickly, he sat down and accepted the call, only to be met by an elderly lady with graying hair and blue eyes. "Emelie! I'm surprised you're calling back so soon. How are you?" The woman smiled at him, "I'm well Oak, though you did catch me by surprise with the message left behind. Now tell me, why would you want to know more about the effects of Aura of all things on the body of a child."

Oak frowned, "Hmm, there is a bit of story behind this one, so I suggest you buckle yourself in. It first started with young Ash who at a young age showed an extreme amount of energy. First without it was a simple case of ADHD or another Hyper Active disorder but soon after I was proven wrong a couple of months ago, when the boy was in hospital…Emelie I saw his Aura, it was everywhere, overpowering and suffocating."

Emelie, looked amused by his description, "Yes Oak, that's what normally happens when someone feels another beings Aura the first time around. It's quite common really." Oak narrowed his eyes at the blunt dissregarment to his words, "Really? So you're saying glowing eyes is a common thing? What about the ability to near instantly heal? How about the ability to sprint over a few miles without stopping? No? How about this, a one hit K.O on a Machoke from a ten year old."

With each passing example, Emelie's eyes widened in shock before at the last point, her jaw dropped. "That… that is not possible Oak! Even after decades of training, Aura Guardians are barely able to fight against other Pokemon let alone knock them out. Instant regeneration is also not possible. Maybe healing a bit faster yes but not immediate…Oak who is this child."

Oak gazed into her eyes seriously, "Ash Satoshi Red Ketchum. The son of Delia and Red Ketchum…Descendant of Aaron and the missing Queen." At that proclamation, Emelie experienced something she never really thought she would, after so may years of being alive. Fear, terror at the name of the only man to have absolutely destroyed her in a battle, excitement at receiving the chance to study his son and joy at finding out that Aaron's legacy still had a chance to move forward.

"Emelie, the child needs help, help that I can't really provide. Do you know of anyone who can?" It wasn't often that the most renowned Pokemon Professor admitted to not being able to do something. Emelie nodded her head, "I will try and contact one of the Aura Guardians I know. Know this Oak, I will be sending my granddaughter with him as well." At his raised eyebrow she waved him off, "It would be good for her to gain the experience, maybe she could teach him a few things as well. Plus she has expressed interest in the Kanto Ruins."

Oak sighed, knowing the stubbornness of the Shirona females. "Very well, I'll prepare their accommodations. When do you think they'll arrive." Emelie thought for a second, "Hmm, most likely in around a few months, getting in touch with the Aura Guardian will not be easy. Until then, keep the boy busy. Don't let him sit and do nothing." Oak nodded, remembering the one time Delia grounded Ash for a day. The next two days the boy was a bundle of energy running all over Pallet Town, unable to contain his hyper activeness. After that, Delia never grounded her son again, at least not like that. She had him do chores, it worked wonders.

"Very well. Time for me to go. Thank you for the help Emelie." With a nod, he closed the call and looked at the clock, eyes widening at the realisation that its already been two hours. Getting up he, went to check for Ash only to turn up empty. This time his heart started to beat faster at the prospect of Ash having been kidnapped or something. Going up into the boy's room, he looked around before finding a piece of paper under the pillow.

'In a few days, Surtr and I are gonna head into the Forest and stay there for a week. I'm hoping to talk to Professor Oak about it but he seems busy enough. Hopefully, he won't notice me missing.'

Oak sweat dropped at the last sentence, 'I won't notice you missing. What the hell are you thinking Ash!' However, instead of freaking out, he took a deep breath and made a decision. 'Hmm. Let this be an experience Ash. Don't waste it.' With that, he turned around and closed the door. Heading down to his lab.

Scence change

Emelie Shirona was many things, kind, graceful, cunning and influential. One thing she was never accused of, was being a manipulator. 'That's the whole point though isn't it. Don't let them know.' She casually made her way to her granddaughters room, knocking on the door.

A beautiful blonde with gray eyes, a dark tank top that barely contained her assets and black shorts opened the door. "Yes grandmother?" Emelie smiled at her, showing a couple of teeth, "Ah Cynthia my dear. I have some exciting news for you. How would you like to visit Kanto?"

A/N Badda bum.
