Yup, another chapter! Most of Dalek would be exactly the same as the televised episode, so I'm skipping it, with two exceptions: In this universe, Maxwell Lorrd took the place of Van Statten (with the same fate befalling him). As Lorrd is canonically a ruthless genius billionaire highly interested in advanced/alien technology, I thought it was fitting. As for the second exception:

Shaking his head and beaming from ear to ear, a young man stumbled out of a bunker in Utah. He looked up, exulting in the sensation of sunlight and wind on his face after years spent almost exclusively below ground, working for billionaire genius/alien collector/occasional psychopath Maxwell Lorrd. Then had come the Doctor, and Barry Allen, who had accidentally freed Lorrd's Metaltron, which went on a rampage through the building before being destroyed.

He rummaged in the backpack and withdrew some plans he'd been working on. He was determined never to be defenseless again in the face of such evil. Once Lorrd had disappeared, he'd hacked into a few of his bank accounts. With those, and the alien tech he'd scavenged, he could take over the legitimate parts of Lorrd's empire, build something good. And one of his first projects would be a way to protect himself and others. Some kind of armor…

Armed with enthusiasm, scientific genius, and alien technology, Ray Palmer strode forward, into the future.

Yup, Ray Palmer takes the place of Adam Mitchell in this 'verse. Obviously, he wasn't invited onboard the TARDIS (since Barry is happily heterosexual, with the possible exception of Captain Jack), but he's got his own plans to become a hero now. Oh yes...
