"Hurry up Charles! I don't want to miss this!" Lisa Lavender said as she speed-walked her way across the hallways of Beacon Academy.

"You're not going to miss anything Lisa, we have a lot of time." Charles said as he readjusted the camera on his shoulder for the nth time.

"I would still prefer to do the interview early than late." Lisa said back.

Roughly an hour ago, she had received an email from none other than the head of Beacon himself, telling her that he's available for an interview. After the events regarding the walls of Beacon coming down and the fact that a massive worm came out from nowhere before being slain by what witnesses say is an 'angel', she had a feeling this interview might be able to shed some light into what is happening.

Looking down on her scroll displayed a top down map of the prestigious combat academy. She had been to Beacon before but that was during the last Vytal Festival Tournament, which was nearly a decade ago and even then, she was only allowed inside of the Amity Colosseum and certain parts of Beacon Academy so it was no surprise when after a few turns, she started to feel lost.

After a few more minutes of fumbling around, her frustration reached a breaking point.

"This is ridiculous! This place is so big! How am I supposed to find the infirmary!"

"Um… what if we ask one of the sta-" Charles began.

"Not now Charles!" Lisa fired hotly.

Just before she could give her cameraman a solid scolding, a third voice joined the conversation.

"Need help finding the infirmary?"

Lisa and Charles looked towards the voice to find Qrow with his back leaning against the wall. Lisa fixed herself and gave her scripted smile. "Why yes, that would be much appreciated."

Qrow stared at her for a few solid seconds before shrugging. "Alright, follow me." He said while doing a gesture with his arm.

After winding around the maze that is Beacon's hallways, the group had finally reached the infirmary. Turned around to see a frazzled Lisa and a Charles that was on the verge of laughter at the expense of his partner.

"And here we are. Didn't take that long now did it?" Qrow said nonchalantly, pointing towards a door with a red cross on the front of it.

Lisa's face looked like a red pepper about to explode. "Didn't take that long!? We walked around for an HOUR looking for the infirmary!" She walked closer to Qrow. "If I didn't know any better, I think that you're stalling me from getting to the headmaster!"

"That you are right Miss Lavender." A voice interrupts.

Lisa flicked her head behind her. Ready to give the newcomer a piece of her mind when she immediately stopped herself when she noticed who she was going to berate. Standing just behind Charles was Ozpin and a disapproving Glynda. All of her anger dissipated in an instant and she immediately donned her scripted look albeit looking highly embarrassed.

"Headmaster Ozpin! Uh… it is a pleasure to meet you!" She stuttered as she lent a hand to shake.

Ozpin gave a small smile and reciprocated her hand by giving his. "The pleasure is all mine."

"Right…" Lisa said awkwardly.

"I will admit, I told Qrow to stall you as long as possible. As sudden as my invitation is to you, we were also caught…" He paused, as he thought of the right word. "…unprepared."

Lisa's embarrassment vanished immediately and changed into her journalism persona. "Unprepared?"

Ozpin nodded. "I believe that this can all be discussed in the interview."

"Right!" Lisa said and the group entered the infirmary.

Despite the destruction of the CCT and Vale's over-glorified walls, electricity still runs across a large area of the Kingdom; particularly those that were the furthest from the breach. One particular location that still had electricity running is called Neon Nights. A club owned by none other than Junior Xiong. To the normal eyes, Neon Nights seems like a normal club that one would take their friends for a night off.

Unknown to most, Neon Nights serve as a hub for some of the most notorious criminals in Vale. Roman Torchwick sat on the club's bar with his cheek resting on his hand, lazily swirling around an Old Fashioned while his long time mute companion, Neopolitan devoured an entire bucket of… Neapolitan ice cream…

Due to the sudden appearance of the Eater of Worlds, all of Roman's heist plans were put on hold and some were even halted on the spot, leaving an entire city block un-ransacked by his men. It also doesn't help that huntsmen and huntresses roam around the streets as they move to and from multiple front lines in an effort to hold back the black tide of Grimm pouring through Vale's broken walls.

"Stupid giant worm coming out from nowhere…" He muttered. "Hey Junior! Could you pass the remote, I want to see what's there to watch!"

Junior Xiong was standing on the opposite side of the bar, wiping a glass with his cloth. He gave a quiet sigh before putting down said glass and reached below the bar to grab a black remote which he tossed at the notorious thief. Roman caught it without any problems and opened the television which was set amongst the wall of booze. It flickered for a moment before showing the face of Vale's most prominent reporter, Lisa Lavender.

"Greetings citizens on Vale. This is Lisa Lavender of Vale News Network and today we have some interesting news. Coming from the mouth of the headmaster of the prestigious Beacon Academy, Ozpin!" Lisa turns her head to the right and the camera followed revealing a stoic Ozpin.

"Mister Ozpin, first and foremost, I would like to thank you for giving time for an interview."

Ozpin gave Lisa a soft smile. "The pleasure is all mine. That being said, I do believe that you have some questions that need answering."

Lisa nodded. "That I do. Let's get right into it then…"

The entire interview lasted for a few minutes with Lisa bringing up some open-ended questions to give the public an idea of Ozpin's personality. Questions like what he thinks about the current crisis that is happening to the Kingdom, some ideas that could be implemented to reduce or outright prevent casualties and some measures that needs to be taken.

"While I do believe that these questions have some merit." Ozpin began. "I do believe that there is one question that you're begging to know."

Lisa paused for a second before giving a coy grin. "As expected from a seasoned and decorated huntsman. You are quite perceptive."

Ozpin shrugged. "One of the perks that one gets."

"Very well… according to rumours circulating around the public and eyewitnesses, a gigantic worm came through Vale's breached wall and tore through waves of Grimm. It would've continued to rampage within the city had it not been stopped by a bright beam of light that many eyewitnesses said came from an angel."

"An interesting story Miss Lavender." Is Ozpin's only reply.

"I have sources." She replied simply.

"The rumours and eyewitnesses aren't wrong." Ozpin began. "In fact, I can confidently say that they are one hundred percent accurate. According to a mutual acquaintance of mine, this 'gigantic worm', as you call it, is called the Eater of Worlds and the one responsible for putting a stop to the Eater of Worlds' rampage could be considered an angel."

Lisa Lavender looked puzzled at Ozpin's words to which he responds by simply giving off a smile. "Why don't you ask her yourself?"

"Huh?"

Ozpin turned to look behind him. Only now did Lisa and her cameraman, Charles, noticed a row of hospital beds with the one closest to the window covered by a light blue curtain, preventing anybody from viewing as to whom was behind it. Some small chatter could be heard from within the confines of that curtained off bed.

"..you sure?"

"I am sure, Glynda. Please… I have to do this."

"I… I understand."

The curtains ruffled before it was slowly pushed aside.

In that moment, Vale as a whole went quiet.

Citizens of Vale watched from their homes, the homeless watched from behind a glass window that showcased the newest models of televisions and the criminals watched from their hideouts.

Lisa nearly dropped her microphone for standing in front of her was a beautiful woman wearing the most pristine wedding dress, her white and almost holy wings outstretched as if to show off all of its glory, the golden halo that floated above her head glowed brightly as if a spotlight shone down above her. No matter what angle Lisa looked at her from, she looked like an angel.

Amber, for her part, was extremely nervous. She felt the gaze of the entirety of Vale through the lens of the cameraman. Looking back at it, she found it funnily ironic how killing the Eater of Worlds was way easier than what she was experiencing right now. Nevertheless, she had- no, needed to do this. If Vale is to be protected, they needed to know of the upcoming dangers. Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward and continued to do so until she was close to Lisa.

It was only now that did she realize the sudden height change. She was way taller than she remembered. A foot taller than Lisa and half a foot taller than Ozpin. She reasoned to herself that the reason behind it was because of her ascension and placed it into the back of her mind, to be revisited at a later time. Lisa continued to stare at her for a solid three seconds before realising what she was doing.

"Ahem… a pleasure to meet you."

Amber lightly nodded. "The pleasure is all mine."

Lisa tried to formulate words but the only things that came out were sounds of surprise. "I… I don't know what to say! This is highly unexpected."

Amber tried her best to deliver a scripted smile. She felt uncomfortable as Lisa started to circle her, closely examining her. Once Lisa was done, she returned back to standing in front of her.

"I suppose we should start with something simple: what are you? A faunus?"

Amber looked like she wanted to answer something else but refrained herself. She discreetly looked over to Ozpin who responded back by slowly closing his eyes and lowering his head. A gesture that sent the all the signals that Amber needed. Steeling herself, she answered Lisa's question.

"I am a messenger of His will."

Lisa raised an eyebrow. "'His will'?"

Amber slowly nodded. "I am sure that you have heard of Him before."

It didn't take long for Lisa to connect all of the dots. "You're-"

"Amber Autumn! Reveal yourself!"

All heads snapped to the outside window. Amber's stiff face softened up when she heard the familiar sound of his voice. Ozpin was internally surprised while outwardly curious. Glynda, who was also in the room, had a look of astonishment and curiosity. Amber slowly walked to the window, opened it and was ready to fly off before Lisa managed to sneak one final question.

"If you are a messenger, what message did you deliver!?"

Amber looked to Lisa and somehow felt like she needed to flare her magic. Pouring pure magic into her wings, they began to glow slightly thus giving off that 'holy' look. "I've come to warn you all that a great evil is coming. Worry not, for He will protect all of you."

She looked away and jumped off. She flapped her wings and flew towards her purple robed companion.

"So that's how she looks at me?" I asked myself as I watch the cutscene unfold.

The cutscene showed me a wonderful image of a setting sun with Amber flying off to the side. It cuts to her stopping in front of Sir BoinkGeminid. She shuffled slightly on the spot, unsure of whether she should maintain eye contact with my character or not.

"Is that how you think of me?" Sir BoinkGeminid asks.

A small notification slid into frame on the top right of my screen.

Affinity level: 100%

"Sir, you've been nothing but someone that I look up to. Even though I've only known you in less than a month, I know that you are someone that I can follow no matter where you may go…"

She paused before continuing.

"… it might sound impossible, even unreal for a mortal like me to… to fall for you. But that is how much I am dedicating my everything to you."

JESUS CHRIST, SOMEONE LOVE HER ALREADY!

A list of dialogue options showed itself.

A. "I appreciate your dedication. However, I only see you as my servant."

B. "You are nothing to me but a mere messenger."

C. "You are not just a messenger. You are someone who is dear to me Amber." (Requires 100% Affinity)

Perhaps it is because of my lonely ass wanting a girlfriend or perhaps I'm not a cruel person or it could be because I didn't want to waste my hard work of bringing her affinity level up to maximum only to not put it to good use. In the end, I'm sure you all know which one I'm going to choose.

Option C

The cutscene continued with Amber breaking her gaze with my character and looked away. Sir BoinkGeminid brought up a hand and cupped her cheek.

"You are not just a messenger. You are someone who is dear to me Amber."

Amber starts to tear up as she stares into Sir BoinkGeminid's eyes. "I still don't understand what that means."

"Allow me to show you."

The hood gets closer to Amber. Just as I was going to see a kiss scene, the Nebula Mantle covered the obvious kissing that's happening! What a load of bullshit! Ah well, at least I know what happened.

Amber's mind was racing a million miles an hour. She couldn't believe what she was feeling, the first she felt was something soft touching her lips. It didn't feel like another set of lips was touching hers but the implications behind the feeling wasn't missed.

He was kissing him!

His mantle covered both her and him in a tight hug. It felt like she had touched forever only to slip away when the soft sensation of a kiss left her lips and the mantle that he wore unwrapped itself.

"Need I tell you more?"

Once her mind came back down from the high, it began recounting every millisecond of what just happened mere seconds ago. Her face turned red and she couldn't meet his eyes but at the same time, she couldn't stop the smile that was creeping up her face.

"N-No…"

"Good" He reached out with his hand. "Now, there is still more work to be done. Will you help me, dear?"

She looked up and at the outstretched arm. A joyous smile covered her face as she grabbed his hand and yelled. "Yes!"

In an obscure part of Vale, a place where the more notorious and criminal hide from the law, a certain individual was lesser than amused by what the news has shown. Cinder glared with fury at the scorched television. Many questions raced her mind and the most prominent one that screamed in her head was how did Amber survive?

She was sure of herself that she had mortally wounded her. Not only that, she stole half of her soul!

Cinder clenched her fist in anger. She took a moment, breathed deep and exhaled.

"If stealing half of her soul isn't enough to take her out. I will make sure that this time there will be nothing left of her." She growled.

Latest A/N: I did some corrections, including that text truncation. Also, I sure hope that I'm not the only one getting an Error 503. Thank goodness that I have the mobile app to fix other issues.

A/N:I AM BACK! Yes, I know, I made false promises of frequently posting new chapters. To be frank, I've gotten tired of this story. Don't worry, I won't let go of it (it's one of my most successful stories, I wouldn't). I simply want something new to write. That being said, I'd like some opinions on this latest and probably my longest chapter for this back on the topic of me wanting to write something new, two crossovers came up to my mind and I'd like to see which one you guys would 4 x Highschool of the Dead Dawn of War (Warhammer 40,000 video game) x RWBY I see great potential between these two crossovers, and I would like your opinion on which one should I start is all I have to say, and to clear things up: I am not giving up on this story, I simply want something new to write. That being said, I sure hope you enjoy the ending of this particular arc and for the next chapter, we focus more on the people of Remnant!Peace~
