After fixing the resource problem in Vacuo, I decided to go and explore the world a little while longer. I have to praise the mod maker once more; having infinite flight makes going around the world a hell of a lot easier than just walking. Soaring past clouds, I took a moment to admire the wonderful scenery; fluffy clouds spread as far as the eye could see and over the horizon, I could see the slowly setting sun. Truly, it was breathtaking. A screech to the right side of my headphones caught my attention. Looking to the right, I saw a flock of nevermores making a beeline towards me.
Of course, it wouldn't be Terraria if there isn't a single mob out there that is out to kill you. Scrolling through my hot key items, I landed on the Razor Typhoon, the book flipped open and with a flick of my wrist, I shoot out three water discs. These discs quickly homed in on the nevermores, making quick work of them as I watched the discs clip their wings and plummet down the earth, while already dissolving to the black dust. I flew near the area where they died and collected their Dark Essence before continuing my exploration and that's when it hit me.
How does space look like in this mod?
As soon as that thought entered my mind, I was already flying high. The bright blye sky slowly shifted to black and after a few seconds, I was out of the planet. I was greeted with the vast darkness of space, I looked behind me and I could see the planet.
I quickly paused the game, turned off my HUD and left the pause menu. I moved Sir BoinkGeminid around to find the right angle. Once I was happy, I took a screenshot of the view.
"Yep, that's another wallpaper worthy picture."
In the screenshot, Sir BoinkGeminid hovered above the whole world, his Nebula Mantle flaring outwards looking as if it could swallow the whole world. Off to the top right corner was the broken moon. I also made sure to angle the shot properly so that the picture could also capture a piece of the sun on the left side, creating this amazing contrast of light on the left and dark on the right with the planet in the middle of it all.
After that wonderful screenshot, I decided to see how far I can go. My best assumption is that I can reach the broken moon. With a goal set in my mind, I flew towards the moon. It only took a few seconds to reach the moon and despite already expecting that I could reach the moon, it still amazed me how MASSIVE this mod is. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, I FLEW TO THE FUCKING MOON!
WHERE HAS THIS MOD BEEN IN ALL MY LIFE!
Now, on to the next question. Can I build a moon base?
Quickly opening up the menu, I scrolled through the building and opted to just pick a random structure just to test it out. I picked a simple wooden floor. A hologram of the wooden floor appeared letting me know where I wanted to place it. Usually, when I'm in an unbuildable spot, the hologram would flash red.
It flashed green…
MOON BASE HERE I COME!
It's been a week since Amber's rise to fame. Ozpin looked out on the window of his tower with a passive look on his face. A week of nothing crazy happening, while it was a relief that no catastrophic events are happening as of late, it also set him on edge. A week with no contact from their godly acquaintance is something to worry about, they questioned Amber about his sudden disappearance but her answer led to more questions.
Even after a week had passed, the effects of the Eater of Worlds could still be seen. Their stalwart wall broken down and the CCT being taken down are two of the biggest problems that Vale is currently facing. The council hasn't had a day of rest for this past week and that included Ozpin. He let go of a heavy sigh before turning back to his desk. He looked at his pocket watch with tired eyes.
"12 AM… I do believe it's time for me to clock out."
Unfortunately for him, Fate had other plans. His scroll suddenly buzzed in his pocket catching his attention. It was Glynda. Reading the contents, he furrowed his brows.
Avadacadabrah: ur going to want to see dis…
Boomer^100: ?
After sending that text message, Glynda answered back with a picture of a young girl with streaks of red hair and her head drooping low. She wore a goth lolita dress with frills going down her skirt, wrapped around her neck was a rose red hooded cape. Ozpin raised an eyebrow at the additional doodles that Glynda added, words synonymous to "cute" and "adorable" could be seen on the side while arrows of varying colours all pointed at the girl and to finish it off, a massive rainbow circle around her, as if you couldn't see who she was talking about.
Boomer^100: who dat?
To answer his question, she sent him a video footage taken from a CCTV. Ozpin watched with an impressed. During the first few seconds, the camera only caught the street in the middle of the night. Suddenly an individual wearing a black suit, red tie and sunglasses was thrown to the pavement, a second after that, three more people wearing the same clothes followed the first person. Entering the frame of the camera from the lower right side was the girl who was sitting in the interrogation room right now.
A black van came in to frame, the back doors of the van open up revealing a very infamous thief, Roman Torchwick followed by more black suited goons. He gestured his head towards her and the goons followed. However, despite their superior numbers, the young girl managed to put up a fight, zipping too and from one direction to another. It didn't take long before all of the goons were knocked out with one of them currently sleeping inside of a crater.
Frustrated, Roman aimed his cane at the the young girl and pulled a hidden trigger from the handle of his cane. A red dust rocket launched itself from the cane and towards the young girl. Fortunately, just before the shot landed, Glynda stood in between and quickly redirected the shot using her telekinesis semblance.
At that point, the video ended followed by a message from Glynda.
Avadacadabrah: Recognize the fighting style?
Replaying the video again, Ozpin carefully watched and immediately recognized Qrow's fighting style coming off from this girl. One of the most obvious giveaways would be the massive sniper-scythe that she wields.
Boomer^100: Stay there I'm coming
Her finaly reply to him was a gif of Pyhrra Nikos giving a thumbs up at the camera. Ozpin sighed with slight relief.
"At least it's not a world-ending issue."
Ruby Rose was nervous.
Currently, she was sitting on a metal chair inside of an interrogation room. The door opened once again to see Glynda come in but this time with Ozpin in tow. Now she wasn't just nervous, she was also hyped up. It's not everyday that you'd get to meet face to face with the headmaster of Beacon. Ozpin pulled up a chair and at just across the table. He leaned closely which made Ruby squirm under his gaze. After a second of staring, he pulled back and spoke.
"It's not everyday that you get to see silver eyes."
"How am I supposed to respond to that!?" Ruby thought. "Uh…"
Ozpin gave her a slight grin and gave her a dismissing hand gesture. He looked to Glynda, to which she handed the tablet to him. Scrolling through database, he found Ruby's profile.
"Ruby Rose, age 15, you joined a public combat school in Patch, you have half-sister." He looked up from the tablet. "Is this you?"
Ruby nodded her head frantically. Ozpin gave a hum before he continued to scroll through the tablet until he landed on the CCTV footage, he flipped the tablet for Ruby to see and played the video.
"May I ask, where did you learn how to fight?"
Ruby perked up from his question. "Oh, my uncle taught me to fight."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah, you should see how my uncle handles a scythe, he's all like 'shing!' and 'blam!' and-" Ruby cut herself off realizing who she was talking to.
Ozpin gave a hearty chuckle before asking her another question. "Miss Rose, do you know who I am?"
"Is this a trick question?" Ruby wondered. "Uh, you're Ozpin, headmaster of Beacon, the combat academy I dreamed to enter!"
Her innocent eyes glowed which piqued Ozpin's attention. "She almost looks and acts like her."
Ozpin gave a soft chuckle at Ruby's energy. He stood up. "Before I set you free, Miss Rose, may I have your email?"
Confused as always, she didn't question his request or wondered about the motive of such a request. She immediately gave her email address to him. Ozpin flashed her a smile. "Do pay attention to your email in the next coming days. I have a feeling your dream might come true sooner than you expect."
After that exchange, everyone left the interrogation room and approached the main counter for Ruby to retrieve her confiscated weapon. Everyone said their goodbyes and left the police station when suddenly the ground suddenly started rumbling. They all looked around in confusion before a loud explosion could be heard from a distance followed by a deafening war cry.
"GGRRRAAAAAAHHH!"
Ruby, Ozpin and Glynda turned to the direction of the noise and their eyes widened and faces showing a variety of reactions at the sight. A massive pillar of blue fire nearly touching the tip of the sky. Ruby's eyes were wide with shock and astonishment, wondering what created such an awesome yet terrifying sight, Glynda's eyes furrowed along with a tinge of fear, realizing the power of such an individual and Ozpin, a serious look on his face.
Between the three of them, only two know who is responsible for such a sight. They were both sure that Amber hasn't lost her mind so a new question popped up in both of their minds.
"Who is dangerous enough to bring out this much power from her?"
A/N: HEYYYY LOOK WHO IT IS, RUBY ROSE!
WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE ANOTHER CHAPTER!?
ALRIGHT, WHO PISSED OFF SIR BOINKGEMINID'S GIRLFRIEND!?
That being said, I'm glad to post a new chapter. College has been nothing but pain lately which is why I decided to focus on that first before anything else. How was this chapter? Reviews are appreciated because I want to inflate my ego. Upload schedule is still scuffed as ever, sorry about that, I'll try to write the next chapter as soon as I can.
With all of that said and done, I bid you all adieu
Peace~
