This is my own version of what happened after the Season 2 finale of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. I made my own events of how the group was coping with the recent events that transpired, along with the joyful reunion with their long-lost friend Ben. I don't own any characters except my OC.
The sun rose on Isla Nublar and the dinosaurs were starting to wake up. They were getting ready for their morning routine without any disturbances. Isla Nublar was home to Jurassic World: a nature park filled with numerous dinosaurs. But there were no humans left on the island: they all left and abandoned the place after the incident.
But not all the humans left the island, a small group of teenagers had been left behind and are now stranded on Isla Nublar with the dinosaurs. They managed to survive and have built a shelter out of the remains of Camp Cretaceous.
"Good morning, everyone." Nikita said.
She was still on the island with the others: Darius, Ben, Kenji, Brooklynn, Yazmina, and Sammy. They were the only ones left on Isla Nublar after having been abandoned by everyone else.
"Five more minutes…" Kenji moaned. "Good morning, Nikki." Sammy said.
Everyone was getting ready to start their day. Darius was glad that his friends were alright after the incident with the big-game hunters a few days ago.
"Has anyone seen Ben?" He asked.
Everyone looked around, but there was no sign of Ben anywhere.
"Where did he go?" Brooklynn asked. "Don't tell me we've lost him again." Kenji said. "Guys, it's okay. Look." Yazmina said, pointing up to a tree.
The group looked up at the tree to see Ben looking at the horizon beyond. That brought the group some relief as they couldn't bear the thought of losing their friend again. Darius still had nightmares of that fateful night when Ben got separated from them after that Pteranodon attack on the monorail.
"Well, that's a relief. Can't bear to lose him again." Nikita said. "Yeah, but maybe we should keep an eye on him, just in case." Darius said.
Meanwhile, Ben was standing on a huge branch of the tree, overlooking the jungle. His pet Ankylosaurus Bumpy was on the ground below eating some grass. He smiled and climbed down to join her while searching for some food himself. Several weeks of being on his own in the jungle has made Ben a strong survivalist.
"Hey, Ben. How's everything going?" Yazmina asked. "Everything's great. Bumpy and I have really got our game going." Ben said. "That's great. We're just about to head to the river to catch some fish, wanna join us?" Nikita asked. "Absolutely." Ben said.
As she watched him grab his spear and called for Bumpy to follow him, Nikita couldn't help but admire Ben for becoming so bold and confident. Before he was a shy and nervous camper afraid of nature, now Ben was a brave and hardened wilderness survivalist.
"Good girl, Bumpy." He said as he rode her towards the river.
The rest of the group followed them as they made their way to the river to catch some fish to eat. They all fashioned some spears to use to catch the fish, having been taught how by Ben. As he was hunting for fish, Darius noticed Ben walking away to some bushes to search for berries.
"I still can't believe he's here with us now." He said. "Yeah, it's a miracle that Ben's alive." Sammy said.
The campers were all happy that their friend was alive and well, especially after they all thought he was dead. They could still remember that fateful day:
After escaping the Mosasaur and Toro, the kids managed to get on the last monorail heading straight towards the docks. After taking a break from all that running, they soon found themselves under attack by a group of Pteranodons.
While they tried to hold off the flying reptiles, Ben made his way to the front of the monorail and turned on the railroad switch to prevent the train from derailing, thus saving himself and his friends.
But just as they thought their troubles were over, a Pteranodon breaks into the train and knocks Ben overboard. Darius tried to pull his friend back up, but he was unable to hold on to him and Ben ended up falling off the monorail.
As she was collecting some wood to start a fire, Nikita accidentally bumps into Ben.
"Oh! Sorry about that, Ben." She said. "It's okay, accidents happen." Ben said. "I just wanted to say that I'm really glad you're still alive." Nikita said. "Yeah, me too. To be honest, I thought I wasn't gonna make it out in the jungle myself." Ben said.
He had to admit to himself that he didn't believe he could survive out there in the jungle all by himself. After facing many obstacles and fending off other dinosaurs, Ben became an expert at surviving on Isla Nublar.
"We all thought that we lost you after that Pteranodon attack." Nikita said. "I'm so sorry for causing you guys grief." Ben said. "It wasn't your fault, Ben." Nikita said. "It could've happened to any of us. You don't have to apologize."
That made Ben feel a lot better. Just knowing that his friends had missed him and never meant to abandon him was all he needed to know. But Darius wasn't all better: he still held guilt for not saving Ben much soon. The others also held guilt for not attempting to search for him after being left behind on Isla Nublar.
"Maybe we should go see how the others are doing." Nikita suggested. "Yes, that would be nice." Ben said.
Back near the campsite, the rest of the group had been busy collecting the fish they caught. Sammy and Yazmina were cleaning the spears they used to catch the fish, Brooklynn and Kenji were placing the fish inside of containers so they don't spoil, and Darius was looking for some edible berries in the bushes.
"Hey, guys! How's the catch?" Ben asked.
He and Nikita rode together on Bumpy all the way back to the riverbank where their friends were.
"It's going great. We caught a bunch of fish to have for breakfast." Sammy said. "And I found some edible berries to eat with them." Darius said. "That's great. I already gathered enough wood to make a campfire to cook the fish." Nikita said. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go eat." Kenji said.
As they made their way back to their camp, Nikita walked up to Darius and encouraged him to go talk to Ben.
"Hey, Ben." Darius said. "Yeah, Darius?" Ben asked. "Is it okay if I could talk to you a bit?" Darius asked. "Sure, what is it?" Ben asked.
Everyone stopped to listen to what Darius had to say. Nikita nodded to let them know that everything was alright.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry for leaving you behind in the jungle." Darius said. "Darius, you don't have to apologize. I've already forgiven you." Ben said. "But it's not enough. I...we all thought you were dead." Darius said.
Everyone else hanged their heads down in guilt. They knew that Darius was right: they too thought that Ben was dead. They hadn't realized that he was still alive and was lost in the jungle surrounded by dinosaurs.
"Darius is right. If we had known that you were still alive, we would've gone to search for you and…" Kenji said. "Guys. It's okay. That's all in the past now." Ben said. "He's right. We have to put the past behind us and focus on the now." Nikita said.
They all agreed and started making their way back to their campsite to start making some breakfast.
