The Order of Heroes was more packed than ever, swathes of Heroes from different worlds all pairing up with one another to take on threats to the Kingdom of Askr.
Unified under Commander Anna, and the supervision of Prince Alfonse and Princess Sharena, the Order of Heroes had saved Askr countless times.
But the biggest contributor to the order's success was the most mysterious of all. The Summoner, a legendary hero from a unique world, who had the power to bring all others together.
The legendary Hero King Marth. The Radiant Hero. Prince Chrom. The Fell Dragon, Grima. Even the warring factions of Nohr and Hoshido. Heroes of all lands, legendary without any doubt, bowed to the Summoner. An expert tactician, who had used the divine Breidablik to summon them all, and unify them.
From the description, the Summoner may have sounded like a powerful and respected warrior, or a deity. This was not the case. The Summoner, only known otherwise as Kiran, was secretive, shy, and anxious.
Despite frequently making the rounds to check in on the heroes, Kiran was hardly known by anyone. Always hiding in their deep hood, not a single hero could attest to Kiran's gender or features, aside from being psychically unimpressive, and a tad on the short side.
Nevertheless, the divine Breidablik forced their loyalty to the Summoner, but most found themselves willing to serve, as their cause was just, and the Summoner may not have been a warrior, but worked hard to earn their respect.
Kiran was a diligent and hard worker. Taking inventory, checking in on the heroes, even planning their battles and strategies fell almost entirely to them. Though she would never admit it, Commander Anna seemed only a commander in title. Kiran was the true leader.
But The Summoner, the legendary hero from a world that no other had witnessed, was not perfect. They had their flaws, and social interaction was one of them. Kiran's job relied entirely upon interacting with heroes far greater than themself, and despite The Summoner's awkward and nervous nature, they rose to the task without complaint.
This will be the start of some fun short stories involving the overworked and restless Summoner, and their trials regarding the well-being of the Order of Heroes.
Hopefully you'll enjoy as this story takes you down familiar roads, and makes the unexplored daily life of the legendary Summoner entertaining, and fun.
Poor Kiran needs a vacation.
