Divas Prison Ch53

Sasha heard her phone ring, when she saw it said 'Unknown Caller' she knew it had to be business.

"Hello?"

"Sash?"

"Creed? Where the hell have you been? You said you were only going to be away for a few days. You haven't been home. You haven't taken my calls. When I get a hold of you, I swear I'll..." Sasha stoped in her tracks as she remembered what she was about to threaten to do was exactly what she had been ordered to do, but she couldn't let on about it.

"Ok Ok, Sash I'm sorry, but things came up while I was there that meant I had to stay for a bit. I've come back down here just to see you. And to get my stuff. I'm going back up there in two days, and I'm going to stay there. I've got friends up there, we have even talked about going to Atlanta, or further North. Philadelphia or New York maybe. I just think it's better I get out of this area, and probably out of Florida entirely."

Both Sasha and Creed knew why he was looking to leave town as quickly as possible. He had done exactly what she was told. Creed wasn't going to stay with friends. He was going into protection for the authorities as a witness to avoid doing prison time over their breakout. Sasha knew at this point that Stephanie was correct and Creed was a threat to them both. It was a painful thought, but the only way to protect Stephanie, and herself, was to kill Creed, even though the two were good friends and had been for a very long time. Worse still, she had to do it right away, or she could lose track of him for good, and that only ended badly for her. The thought of having to take her friends life made her feel sick to her stomach, but she tried not to think about it.

"So when can we get together?"

"I'm free tonight and tomorrow morning. Gotta be somewhere at 4 tomorrow afternoon."

"Let's do tonight then, where shall I pick you up?"

"That garage by my old place?"

"I will be there at seven, do not keep me waiting." Sasha tried to sound like she was kidding but it was hard for her.

"No ma'am, I'll be there." Creed said as Sasha ended the call and sat down looking out the window.

The next few hours felt like days. Sasha eventually made sure she was prepared to do the job she didn't want to do and got in her car. The traffic was fairly heavy, which was bad news for her, as she was once again being followed.

"Uh, where the hell are we going?" Creed asked as Sasha pulled off of the side road they were taking into an industrial area.

"What, you think we were going out on a date? You want me to take you for a steak dinner or something?" Sasha's attempt to be light hearted failed and Creed heard nothing but anger in her voice.

"Come on girl. I know you've gone through a lot, that's why we need to talk."

"And we will. Here." Sasha said as she stopped the car next to a small building compared to the others."

"Mmm, cosy." Creed said as they entered the empty building. "Why did you want to hang out here Sash? I mean, you could have at least brought a six pack or something." Creed, who had entered first, turned around to get an answer to his question, but quickly stopped talking, as he found himself staring down the barrel of Sasha's handgun. "Hold up there. Sasha, what are you doing?"

"I'm sorry Creed, I really am, but I don't have a choice, I have my orders."

"Orders? Please, Sasha. I haven't done anything to hurt you, or Stephanie. There's no need for this." Creed spoke carefully, knowing very well how it wouldn't take much for Sasha to pull the trigger.

"Don't lie to me. I know you got picked up for the escape. There's only two ways that you can be walking around free right now. One is they had nothing on you, and we both know that's impossible, and the other is that you made a deal."

"There's no deal. I wouldn't talk to them and they didn't have enough on me. It was my word against that blonde chick you brought out with you, and that wouldn't hold up. They let me go, I promise you they let me go."

"Bullshit!" Sasha was getting more worked up by the second. "You talked, and they hid you. You're not going with friends to Georgia, or New York or wherever. You're going into witness protection till they bring me down. You were going to help them put me back in prison, and Stephanie too. After everything she did for you, and I thought I was your friend. You son of a bitch!" Tears began to come down Sasha's face as she put the gun to Creeds head, with her victim-to-be dropping to his knees, closing his eyes.

"Ok yes! Is that what you want to hear? Yes! They offered me a deal. No jail time and keeping me safe if I testified against her in court. They've got a real case on her Sash, the feds have helped the state get nearly enough evidence to put her away for life. That's what they told me. Working for her won't pay any more. And I'm not going down for fifteen years either. They moved me up north and I'm going to a safe house with a new identity. They don't know I came down here, but I had to see you. I care about you Sasha, even when you have a gun to my head. Maybe you could come with me?"

Sasha knew every word he said was true, there's no way he'd lie to her, especially not in these circumstances. But she still shook her head in disbelief. "Come with you? Do you really believe the cops would help me hide? The only place they'd put me is right back where I came from. I'd be back inside before I could cough."

"Well...well once I'm settled, you could come find me?"

"Find you? You'll be watched by cops all the time, I don't know how you made it past them to be here tonight. I got to the meet early to check. If I'd seen one cop, I'd have left you high and dry. And now I should leave you dead." Sasha pressed the gun harder against his head and Creed closed his eyes tight.

"Please don't kill me Sash. I don't want to die."

Sasha put her finger tight on the trigger.

"Don't do this Sasha. Please I'm begging you."

Sasha began to squeeze the trigger.

"I'll do anything, anything! Just don't kill me please! You're my best friend, you can't!" Creeds panic in trying to save his life was clear as his breathing got faster and faster until he heard a loud smack.

Sasha had dropped the gun.

Creed looked up and saw Sasha bent over, hands in her knees, her eyes now closed. Creed got up and went to her, taking care to kick the gun away from her as he did so.

"Thank you Sasha. Thank you." He said to her. He went to put his arms around her, but Sasha pushed him back.

"Don't, just get out of here. And do me a favour. Stay hidden. You ever show up again, I'll be dead before you are."

The two friends shared a look, both knowing they were parting for good. The look said more than words needed to. Sasha watched him go out the door, then had a thought and followed him.

"Creed, take my car, here's..." was all she got out before she saw that Creed was lying on the floor, unconscious. It was dark, but Sasha had no time to see what was happening as she was struck from behind and also fell to the floor.

"Sasha."

"Uhhh?"

"Sasha for the love of god, wake up."

Sasha recognised Creeds voice but it took a few seconds longer to realise what was going on, specifically that she was unable to move. When that became clear, her senses kicked into gear. She looked around and realised they were still in the same warehouse, then down and saw the she couldn't move because she was tied to a chair with her arms around the back, with so much duct tape around her, she could barely make out her clothes. Creed was right next to her, in exactly the same predicament.

Sasha tried to pull herself free, but there was too much holding her in place. She put all of her effort into trying to get any part of her loose, but as she strained, a voice rang out that they both knew.

"That's not going to work Sash, and even if you did somehow get a limb free, I'll have Kane here chop it off."

"Oh crap." Creed said quietly as Stephanie and Kane came around the corner from behind some boxes.

"My dear Creed, how wonderful to see you. It's been way too long. Hasn't it?" Stephanie spoke like she was greeting a friend until the last two words, which were much more angry and direct.

"I'm sorry, everything got messed up and I..." Stephanie held her hand up to stop him talking, which he did immediately.

"And you decided that instead of coming to see me after I had you bailed out of jail, you though it would be a better idea to hide. Now there are only two reasons that you would do that to me. One is that you have no respect for me and thought you didn't even need to say thank you. Is that what you've sunk to?"

"No, it's not that at all, it's.." Stephanie again stopped Creed mid sentence.

"If it's not, then it must be the other thing. That you're a no good, rat bastard who was going to tell the cops all the things you had done for me and then testify against me in court in exchange for being smuggled out of town and hidden so I couldn't find you?!" Stephane wasn't asking, she knew that's what he was doing.

"I wasn't going to talk, I swear!" Creed cried out, knowing what was going to happen to him if he couldn't convince her of that fact.

Stephanie raised an eyebrow. "You expect me to believe that? You're going to do the time they threatened you with, and do it quietly?"

"Yes I will. It's only 18 months, I will probably get out earlier than that anyway." Creed knew he was lying about the amount of prison time he had been told he would have done to try and help his cause. The problem was Stephanie knew full well what had happened.

"18 months?" She asked. Creed nodded emphatically, not realising he was making things worse. "On top of everything else, you now lie to me? Right to my face?" She didn't even let him get two syllables out before continuing. "They told you that helping with the escape plan was going to send you down for the best part of ten years, thanks in part to your friend here getting seen killing a public figure. They threatened the doctor with the same thing, but she has no way out. You however, know all about the plan, all about the things we have done together, and most importantly, all about me! Of course they'd offer you a deal. Maybe that was only 18 months prison, but I doubt it. They have you a way out, and you being the coward you are, you took it. You used to be a useful part of this organisation, willing to do whatever earns you a pocket full of cash, but when it came down to it, you had no loyalty to me. That's what I ask from my subordinates more than anything. Loyalty Creed. Loyalty. You have none for me, so why should I have any for you?" Stephanie pulled out her gun and pointed it at Creed.

"Stephanie don't!" Sasha cried out but it was either too late or ignored as Stephanie pulled the trigger and put a bullet into Creeds head, blood spattering all over the wall, and over Sasha too. She then put several more into his chest, leaving no chance of survival. Creeds body slumped forward, clearly dead.

Sasha couldn't stop a couple of tears running down her cheeks.

Stephanie put her gun down and looked at he victim in disgust, not feeling any remorse for what she had done. Seeing the expression on her face did something to Sasha. She exploded in her chair, trying with all of her might to get out of the bonds holding her to the chair, but in reality all she did was fidget violently in her seat, she wasn't moving.

Stephanie rolled her eyes at the sight of her other hostage screaming and trying to get free. "Knock it off Sasha. I don't want to have to put you down as well."

"Go on then! Shoot me! You don't give a damn about me! He did nothing to you! Nothing! He wasn't going to rat! He wouldn't!" Sasha's emotions began to get to her and she looked down again, now talking quietly. "He was going to disappear. They wouldn't have been able to get him to talk if they couldn't find him, he wasn't a threat to you. He was my friend. He didn't have to die."

Stephanie crouched down and used a finger to lift Sasha's head so they were face to face. Sasha now saw a reassuring expression on her employers face, but then Stephanie spoke.

"Oh Sasha. Why take a risk? Especially when it's an expendable resource?" The expression returned to its previous cold hard stare.

Sasha exploded in the chair again. "Expendable? Expendable! Screw you!"

Stephanie just laughed. "Do you hear yourself? All the people you killed on my orders. They were all expendable, and you made sure of it. Witnesses, threats, whatever. Creed is, or was no different. You just knew him better that's all. Now I need to you to chill out, or how can I trust you to do your job again?"

"Forget it! I'm done! Whatever you wanted from can forget it! I'll find my own way out of here, out of the country. You were never going to help me anyway, were you!" Stephanie just looked back. "Answer me!" Sasha screamed.

"Probably not, I never really thought about it, you were just too useful." Stephanie mused nonchalantly. "Problem is, you've officially run out of usefulness to me now. And, well, you know what that means."

Stephanie readied her gun and pointed it so the barrel was less than an inch from Sasha's forehead.

"Go on shoot. I'll see you in hell, one way or the other." Sasha put her head against the gun and closed her eyes.

"Goodbye Sasha." Stephanie said, but as the last letter left her lips, a loud noise was heard at the other end of the building. Kane appeared from what seemed like out of nowhere and grabbed Stephanie's arm.

"We gotta go, now."

Stephanie tried to resist, but found the bigger mans pull to strong. "Wait, I..." was all she got out.

"Someone's here, and there's a dead body covered in blood. I have to get you out, you can't be seen anywhere near here."

Stephanie realised he was right. She nodded and followed him, quietly slipping out the door. When they saw who had arrived at the building, they took cover.

Sasha had heard the noise and was ready to thank the person, or people who saved her life, as they would see when they appeared. Before they did, they called out, and it was the only thing she didn't want to hear.

"Hello? Police! We had a call about a disturbance?"

"No..." Sasha whispered to herself as she hung her head down. All she could hope for was that they didn't find her and left. That was never going to happen and soon one of them made their way around the right stack of crates.

"Oh my god, Johnny, over here!" One officer called, his attention on the body and blood on the floor. The other one came quickly.

"What did you find Ty...oh man." He said before getting on this radio. "Unit 37 to control, please respond."

"Here Tyler. You got there yet? Just another false alarm?"

"Far from it Sarge." Was the response. "We are going to need forensics down here ASAP. We have a dead body, this poor guy had his head blown off."

"Just him, or anyone else."

"One female, alive, but held hostage I think. Nobody else seems to be here. In fact, she..." The line went quiet as Tyler approached Sasha. She tried not to look at him, but being unable to move much, had no chance. Tyler pulled his gun and got back on the radio. "Uh, Sarge, I think we have Sasha Banks in custody."

It took a moment for a reply. "Don't you make stupid jokes, Breeze. You want to repeat that? Or pretend it was a cough?"

"I'm not kidding Sarge, she's taped to a chair, but it's her."

"Right, use caution then. This is a big deal for our precinct boys. The forensics are on route, and I'll send another car to pick her up. Make sure she's secure."

"I told you Sarge, she's tied to a chair." Sasha rolled her eyes at this response. Even she knew what he meant, and it was what she'd been trying to avoid all this time.

"Oh for goodness sake...we can't take her to jail in a chair can we you moron! Make sure she's handcuffed so she can be transported back here. We'll keep her in our cells tonight, make sure that parts in the report, then they can stick her in the county lockup tomorrow for her murder trial. It's on its way, eta about ten minutes. Control out."

"Maybe we can get a medal for this one Ty." Johnny said with a smile. Sasha wanted nothing more than to knock that grin off his face, but she wasn't stupid, she knew she was done, these were likely to be the last minutes she ever spent in the outside world.

"Who knows. Now, since I got to call it in, you want to slap the cuffs on her?"

"Sure thing." Johnny nodded his appreciation to his partner and walked behind Sasha, being sure to keep out of the pool of blood from Creeds body. "Her hands are perfectly placed, thanks, it'll never be this easy to arrest a killer again." Sasha refused to rise to the bait as she felt the unpleasant sensation of being handcuffed once more. She'd been arrested many times in her life, but knowing this was likely the last time was affecting her. She barely listened as Johnny read her her Miranda rights, she knew them anyway, and this time she wasn't interested in her right to remain silent.

"Listen to me, clowns." This surprised both officers but she certainly had their attention. "When you get me in your holding cell, or into county, or wherever, you call up Agent Chris Jericho from the FBI. You tell him you got me, whatever you have to do to make your lives feel worthwhile, but you tell him I want to see him. I promise it'll be worth his time." Sasha couldn't believe what she had said. She never thought she would be a rat, not ever, but Stephanie had crossed a line. Sasha had never felt so angry. She had to sit there as forensic officers in protective suits started to surround the body of her friend. She had killed people too, but she was going to get her punishment, and she had decided that she was going to make sure that Stephanie got hers too.

A few minutes later, police came to her and cut the tape away from her body, freeing her from the chair, but keeping her handcuffed of course. Two officers took one of her arms each and walked her through the nearest door, where a police car was waiting with its back door open. Sasha felt one of them take her head and push it down to make sure she got into the car without resisting, not that she could. Sasha could see that there was a car in front and behind escorting her car as they began to move. She stared through the bars on the window as her journey back to jail began.

"Dammit!" Stephanie exclaimed in a hiss, not wanting her or Kane to be seen from their darkened car as she watched Sasha get taken away by the police.

"What's wrong? She'll go back inside, not our problem anymore, like before, unless you want to begins working on breaking her out again?"

Stephanie looked at Kane in amazement. "Break her out? Are you crazy? She can rot for all I care, but you saw how she reacted. She's a threat now. She's got nothing to lose. She'll go to death row for the Carter job, plus killing a guard when she get out last time. And you heard her, she hates me. She's got to be dealt with, and fast. Where will she be held? She's got to go on trial for the murders so it'll be a county jail for now. Find out, now!

Kane got his phone out and started searching. "We are a long way from our usual area, probably why Sasha took him out here. The cop car said 16th precinct, so she'll be here tonight." He pointed to a place on a map on his screen. "Problem is she'll be there no more than 48 hours, then to County, probably here, and we don't have any of the staff at either facility on payroll."

"Not good enough!" Stephanie growled, getting a bit nervous for the first time. "There has to be a way, check to inmate listings, there must be someone there who owes me a favour?"

"Nope, sorry boss, nobody we have worked with is held there." Kane saw Stephanie's reaction and knew he had to think quickly. Then he spotted a name. "There is one person we have a small connection with." He brought up a mugshot and rap sheet and showed it to Stephanie.

"Perfect." Stephanie said. " Call Lana, Get a message to her, here's what it'll say..."

The next night, Bayley Martinez collapsed down onto the bed in her jail cell. It was possibly the first time she was even slightly happy to get locked up for the night. She'd been in county jail for months now waiting for her trial, the judge refusing her bail as she was seen as a flight risk. The day she had been waiting for had finally arrived and the first day of her trial had just ended. The problem was it could not have gone worse than it did, with the prosecution doing a very good job of portraying her as the mastermind of the entire escape plan, spending a lot of time talking to the jury about the cctv plans that she had 'stolen' and 'given to the Bella twins' to help them escape. She knew that everything they had said was completely false, but more than that, it sounded convincing, even to her.

As she laid on her bed, trying not to fall into a complete state of panic, she heard the hatch on the door open, and then close within a second. She looked up, and saw an envelope on the floor. She slowly pushed herself up and went to it, looking to see where it came from, but the messenger was long gone, all she could see were guards. She picked up the envelope and sat down again to open it. She put her hand to her mouth as she read what it said.

Dr Martinez,

You don't know me, but I have the power to save your life. I have all the information needed to have these ridiculous false charges against you thrown out and you set free straight away. I know all about the money, the emails, the plans, the escape, all of it, and I know you didn't do it.

But like everything in this world, this information comes with a price. Sasha Banks, who I know you are familiar with, has been recaptured and will soon be joining you in this jail. She is the price. It's a very straightforward deal. End her life, and you get yours back.

I don't care how you do it, as long as it is done and it is done quickly. This offer is good for 48 hours only. If Sasha Banks is still breathing at that time, I will walk away from you forever.

This is your only chance to avoid wasting years of your life as an inmate of the prison you once worked in, and I suggest you take it. Nobody else can or will help you.

Destroy this letter. If it's found, the deal is off.

I want to help you, if you help me.

A friend.

Bayley read the letter over a dozen times before tearing it up, flushing it away a few pieces at a time. She tried to be logical about it, about how the letter got to her. It was typed so there was no way of tracing the handwriting, even if she had kept it. They had provided information that summed up a lot of the reasons she had been arrested and charged in the first place, which were now coming up in court and making her look guilty. It told her that they knew what they were talking about.

The thought of doing prison time scared Bayley more than anything else she'd ever encountered in her life. And she was looking at a lot of it if found guilty. She'd refused every deal she'd been offered and after the day in court, she was beginning to think it was a bad idea. Now though, she'd been made an offer that included no more time behind bars at all.

Bayley had cursed Sasha's name, and the others who escaped, since the day the escape happened, and even more since being in jail. She didn't see herself as a hateful person, she had dealt with criminals in a humane and forgiving manner every day, but these women had pushed her beyond her limits. Knowing she was going to see Sasha soon made her blood boil.

But killing her? That felt like a level she couldn't go to. She had no idea how to do it, and if she was caught, she didn't even want to think about what that would mean for her. But it didn't stop the thought that she had a way out. A way to go home, put it all behind her and restart her life. She had no idea what she was going to do, but knew she had to decide quickly.

A/N: Hi there, Thanks as always for reading. I wish I could get this done faster, but long hours at work and suddenly moving house have made it harder.

A lot has happened since I last wrote this. Paige returned, retired and is now a General Manager. I personally went from my biggest low as a fan to one of my biggest highs. Luckily there have been more highs. I'm glad she's been able to stay in the company, for a while at least.

Lots of call ups, new champions and such, its been great to watch. I'm going to try and find a way to include some of the newer faces in the story somehow. It's a big cell block in the prison, and now all the escapees have been recaptured, more of it will take place within the prison walls, but I hope to be able to tell lots more stories there, as well as continue the existing ones. I can't put in words how much fun I have with this, and I hope you enjoy the end result.

Till next time.
