Divas Prison Ch56
Again, Charlotte wasn't seen properly for days upon days. Unsurprisingly, Becky had told everyone in their group what she had seen, so the only one pleased that she had been so distant since her encounter with Brie Bella, was Natalya.
"She knows how big a mistake it was, so she just needs time to get over it all." Natalya said, as. Charlottes name came up for the first time that day. Paige rolled her eyes, knowing what was about to happen, it's all that she had been listening to behind their locked door.
"She doesn't need to get over anything. She needs to get over herself and realise what she wants is what she wants." Becky fired back almost immediately.
"She doesn't want what you want her to want Becky. She's not going to forget what those no good twins did to us, and to her especially." Natalya responded, with the others ready to scream, the number of times the two of them had gone back and forth on this subject was getting ridiculous to them.
"You're wrong. If she was that mad, would she have slept with her? You can't answer that can you? It's because they want each other. So you need to stop all your little objections Nattie. It's going to happen."
"No it isn't, if it was, it would have already. I know Charlotte just had a moment of weakness. We all have needs, and she was getting hers fixed, but she told me she's only dated guys before she came here. She's simply not like you."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Becky shouted as she jumped up. Paige tried to hold her girlfriend back, but she was staring daggers at Natalya. Summer put herself between the two as Natalya stood, ready for a confrontation, but spotted the approaching guards, ready to put down any potential fight.
"Sit her down, before we all get in trouble." Natalya told her friends. Paige managed to sit Becky down, although the orange haired woman was now all red in the face.
"Not like me? Or like us? Finish what you were saying Nat, now." Becky said in a furious tone.
"You're out of order here Nattie, is this how you see us? If you have a problem with lesbians, we will go, and we won't look back. You'll be invisible to us, and that's fine by me." Paige was just as unhappy as Becky.
"I didn't mean it that way. You two found each other, and I've never seen two people as in love, even outside here. All I'm saying is Charlotte doesn't have the same feelings about Brie Bella, she just doesn't."
"Listen to me, seriously, she does."
"She doesn't."
"She does!"
"She doesn't!"
"I do!"
The two arguing friends stopped immediately and went silent, turning their heads to look at Charlotte who had emerged from her cell.
"You do what?" Natalya asked, despite it being obvious.
"Just sit down, please, I need to talk to you, all of you." Charlotte asked, with her request being granted by them all, with Becky taking her usual spot on Paige's knee, as each table only had four seats. Emma was the odd one out, sitting at the nearest table, but turned to face the rest.
"I really wanted to talk to Becky on her own, but if you are all going to get in an argument about my love life, then you all need to hear what I have to say."
"Love life, really?" Natalya snorted. Becky began to rise in opposition but Charlotte continued before she had the chance.
"Yes, Nat, that's what I said, and if you want to be like this, then I don't need you or your friendship. The bottom line is I want to be with Brie, and if you can't get on board with that, then we don't have to acknowledge each other, you can go over there, as close to out of sight as we can be from each other, or just stay in your damn cell, it'll all be the same to me."
"You are going to regret choosing this side, being with them is against me. Do t come crying back when she screws you over again. Come on, let's leave her to her fate." Natalya stood and began to walk away. She stopped and looked when she saw that the only person who had taken any steps with her was Emma, the rest staying at the table. Natalya let out a frustrated grunt and stomped off into her cell, giving Emma a clear signal not to follow.
"Sorry, I can't go against her, even if she tells me not to, she's my cell mate and my friend. You know drama in the cell is a bad idea. But I hope we can get all this behind us." Emma received some reassuring smiles as she went after her very angry friend. The others turned their attention back to Charlotte.
"So, you're finally going for it?" Becky asked.
Charlotte nodded. "Yeah, I mean, it took some thought, if it was what I wanted. She really hurt me, but it's because we just clicked. It was like getting dumped, but we were never in a relationship. Truth is that we were having sex, but that's all it was. It was not meant to be emotional, just a way to burn calories, and take care of some other urges. But I started having feelings for her, just before she broke out. I thought I could just put it behind me, but she had to get brought back. So many different things going through my head, which is why we ended up in that position you caught me in Becky. Now I think I want to see what could be. Crazy thing is, she's admitted she's bisexual, but I've never looked at a woman before. Not like this. But you said the same didn't you Becky?"
"I did, and I meant it. Paige is the first and only woman I have ever been with, or ever will, right babe?" Becky was looking for a kiss, but got more as she received a long lingering kiss from Paige, who brushed her tongue against Becky's lips, trying to send a message. Everyone could see Becky had gone very red when they parted and she tried to continue to talk. "She...damn...she has been with a woman, but that doesn't matter to me, and I doubt it means anything to you either right? I er, I just got to get some water." Becky dashed off and came back with her water to a table of stifled laughter. "All of you can shut up, and you are going to pay for that later." Becky directed her last comment to Paige who looked smug. "But as I was trying to say, she may be my first, but that doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. What matters is how you feel about her. If you are ok with everything that happened now, and want to give her a chance, or the two of you a chance, then go for it."
"Becky is right". Summer added. "But one thing, and I hate that I'm saying this, but one thing Nat would say if she were here, is that you have to be ready for the possibility of heartbreak, not necessarily today or tomorrow, but one day." I've seen how upset you've gotten, and I hope I never see it again, but I want you to be ready and sure it's worth the risk."
"Thanks, but my brain is spinning, and to be honest, this isn't helping." Charlotte said. "I know what I want to do. I'm going to march over there and tell her I want to be with her. What happens after that is what happens. I'm a big girl, and I will get through the pain just like I had to before. But I'm going to be here a long time, a lot longer than any of you. I think when Becky gets out I won't even be half way. Unless any of you plan on coming back just for me, Brie could be the only person I have left one day. It might last the next 25 years or so till I leave, maybe we will stay together on the outside when she gets out, it's too far away to know, but I want to try."
"Char, stop talking and go do it, are you trying to convince us, or yourself?" Becky said when she got the chance. Charlotte stopped and took a breath, then walked over to Brie's cell to find her.
Brie had her back to the cell door, Charlotte was happy to find her luck was in, there was no sign of her twin sister. She had counted on Brie's assistance to get Nikki out of the way, but now she didn't have to worry.
"Brie, I need to say something, and I need you to let me say it." Charlotte started with. Brie went to respond, but Charlotte stopped her.
"Please, let me say what I want to say and then I will go, or we can talk more, or whatever you want. Just let me talk. The fact you aren't facing me might make this easier. First off, I want to say I'm sorry for the slap when I first saw you again. I was hurt when you left. More than I thought I would be, but like with any hurt, it got easier to deal with over time. I made peace with the fact that I was never going to see you again, and I got over it. But you came back. And when I saw you all that hurt came rushing back and I lashed out. I shouldn't have. Then all the stuff you said to me, in my cell, it really messed with my head, and I reacted. But I wouldn't have reacted like that if there wasn't a good reason. In that moment, I wanted you, and I had to have you, no matter what."
"You did what?" Was the question, slightly aggressively, but not enough to stop Charlotte.
"Please, I'm pouring my heart out to you right now Brie. I wouldn't have felt the way that I did at any stage of this, if I didn't have more feelings for you than I've admitted. And now I've admitted them to myself, I need to tell you. I missed you so much, and it's because I want you to be with me all this time. It's new ground for me, but I want to make it work for both of us." Charlotte took a deep breath for a little extra courage. "I love you Brie." She finally was able to say. She felt her heart beat faster than ever as she waited for the response she was sure was coming.
But it wasn't. "You have got to be kidding me." Charlotte was almost sick where she stood as she felt her heart getting crushed and her stomach twisting in knots. "Love? Really? After all that's happened, you're in love? You ruined my life, and I'll be damned if you are going to ruin hers too." Charlotte went wide eyed as the woman she declared her love for turned around, to make it clear that it wasn't Brie, but her twin sister Nikki.
"Look, Nicole, I'm sorry, from the back, it's a lot harder to tell you apart, and I didn't realise, and I just started talking and..." Charlotte found she had no more words, partly because she didn't know what to say, partly because Nikki had a look on her face that you didn't speak to, you ran from. Problem was Charlotte had lost the ability to move her legs in the right direction.
"Brie has go even for a shower, so it's a good thing you came here, who knows what you would have done if you'd found her there, maybe given half the block a free show? Well not with my sister. You are poison to her. You got in her head somehow. All she wanted to do was try and break you out, did you know that? It didn't matter what we planned anymore. I should be on a beach in the Dominican now. Cocktail in each hand, men at my beck and call. Because of you, I'm back here for far too long. Because of you. It's all your fault. All your fault." Nikki kept repeating the last three words over and over. She looked at the floor while doing it, and Charlotte began to slowly inch back. She barely got started before Nikki's head snapped back up and she swung her right hand into Charlottes jaw with force and venom. Charlotte fell back onto the lower bunk of the cell, smacking her head on the upper one as she went down. Nikki straddled Charlotte's near defenceless body as the blonde checked her head, pulling her fingers away to find them bloodstained.
Nikki wrapped her hands around Charlottes neck and squeezed as she got more and more angry. "This is what you deserve, you bitch! You wrecked my life, you've screwed up my sister and now you want to make it worse by taking her away from me?"
Charlotte tried to respond, but there wasn't enough air in her lungs to do so. Nikki could see her victim's face going redder and redder. She made no attempt to relax her grip, if anything she choked harder, no longer thinking about anything but a small measure of revenge.
Guard Rollins looked into the cell as part of a routine check and for a brief second froze. He saw the wardens daughter being viciously assaulted and acted as he was trained, he drew his pepper spray and baton. "Stop what you're doing, got off that inmate and put your hands on your head." was the order he gave, but Nikki didn't stop. "This is your last chance to comply." Seth added, not interested in giving her more time to hurt Charlotte.
Nikki began to move one hand away, but quickly grabbed a handmade shank she had stashed in a hole in her mattress. She held it to Charlottes neck, the taller woman not able to fight as she gasped for air. "You get away from me, or I'll kill her!" She shrieked in anger. She had no intention of being punished for her assault and wasn't worried about hurting Charlotte in any way.
Seth however, was extremely worried. He backed up to the door of the cell before activations his radio to get help. "Control from Rollins have a code 2 in Alpha block. That's a code 2 in A block. I need full support, and the Warden better be informed too." He then turned back to Nikki. "Just put it down. Don't do anything stupid."
"You hear that?" Nikki said to Charlotte, who stayed still as Nikki shifted herself behind Charlotte, getting a grip on her body while holding the shank to her throat all the time. "You keep your hands where I can see them. Did you hear that? They think I'm going to do something stupid. Ending you would be the best thing I could do for my family. But maybe there's a way you could make all of this right for me. You better hope you can, or you won't see the morning."
Charlotte was terrified, a tear running down her face as she could hear alarms start to sound in the background.
A/N: Thanks for reading, no matter if you are coming back or finding it for the first time. Again I wish I could get these out faster, but free time is a luxury i don't have often I'm afraid. People have asked after my other stories and don't worry, I haven't forgotten about them.
I'd love to hear what you think will happen next, or anything you want to see for any of the characters, or even new ones. Please leave a review with any or all of that. It really means a lot.
