Divas Prison Ch69
Paige stretched on her bunk. It had been another normal day, the same old routine they were forced to follow day after day. Now it was her favourite, yet least favourite part of the day, being locked in her cell at the end of the day. It was a unwelcome reminder of being in prison, but she would never complain about the company.
"What are you grinning about? She asked her orange haired cellmate.
"Just came to a decision. One I don't think you're going to like." Becky answered, still grinning.
"You say I'm not going to like it, yet I can't be all that worried when you have such a smile." Paige said, trying to push a little.
"I'm the one with the smile, because I'm the one with the bet to cash in, and I think tomorrow's the day."
Whatever Paige's expression turned into from that, it certainly wasn't a smile. "You m..mean…" she stuttered.
"Yep. Anything I want, all day tomorrow."
Paige tried to think. "But the bet was who got her last. Sasha hasn't come back."
"Oh come on. One, it was who got caught first, and I picked the twins. Two, you heard them all gloating that Sasha is coming back, so don't try and use that. Three, I won, you lost, and you will just have to suck it up." Becky got right in Paige's face as she said, it, but finishing it off with a quick kiss on the end of her nose defused the situation. At least for the rest of that night.
"Paige, get up. That's an order." Becky said, already enjoying herself, barely 30 seconds after the lights had come on and they had been woken by the usual deafening buzzer.
"Becks, calm down." Paige mumbled.
"No. I only get one day of this and I'm going to make the most of it. You've got to do what I say, or else."
"Or else what? Actually I don't want to know. I'm up, I'm up." Paige rolled out and pulled herself to her feet. She put her pants on and walked to the sink without making eye contact. Becky wrapped her arms around her girl and held her.
"No, no ignoring me either." She said. She felt Paige squeeze her hand in acknowledgement so let go. Paige washed up and went to fix her hair.
"Stop. Come here. I'm going to do your hair for you." She sat on her bunk and Paige did as told, sitting on the floor in front of her.
"That's nice of you. You've never offered to do that before. Thanks. Wait, what are you doing. Becks, no, don't do that. Stop it. Becky!"
The protests were completely ignored by her cellmate, who put on a fake maniacal laugh as she finished her stylistic actions. "Done, you look precious."
Paige went to the mirror, saw herself and screamed. "You can't be serious. Come on Becks, I look ridiculous."
"You look cute. I bet everyone else will think so."
"I'm not going anywhere looking like this."
Becky raised an eyebrow, enjoying the confidence this bet provided her. "Oh yes you are. I'm telling you too. We will get breakfast, join the girls, and have a normal day."
"Looking like this? I thought you said you loved me."
Becky knew what game she was playing. "Don't even. You know what you mean to me, but you made me pay up on every bet we made. Some of them weren't so fun. Now it's payback time." It was a little while later that they were released from their cells for breakfast, but to Paige it felt like an instant. She got up with an attitude, but she left the cell to get food as she was told.
"Wow."
"Paige, girl, what happened?"
"Nice pigtails. You look…..ridiculous!" Charlotte and Natalya were not able to stop themselves falling into laughter. Although it was nice to have them more friendly, being the butt of the joke didn't sit all that well. She turned her back on them and went to join Bayley, Carmella and Ronda, not all that sad there wasn't a spare seat for Becky. She sat down and immediately the three of them started laughing too.
"Stop it."
"Can't." Ronda replied, the only one who spoke through the laughter. When it died down a moment later, it was the one she didn't know as well that spoke first.
"So, I'm guessing there is a reason why you are looking like 90s era Britney?" Carmella joked, to an evil eye from Paige.
"Sorry, you know Carmella right?" Bayley spotted the look.
"Not that well." Paige said deadpan.
"Oh come on. You think you can change your hair like that and not get laughed at? What were you thinking?" Ronda asked.
"I'm thinking that I lost a bet, and I have to pay up. That good enough?"
Ronda shook her head, smirking. "Then you still have nobody to blame but yourself. Shouldn't have taken a stupid risk."
"Oh come on Ronda, most of us are prone to stupid risks, it's how we got here." Carmella said, playing with her nails. The others shrugged, unable to argue her point.
"Ok, but these bets are usually fun, because I win basically every time. I think I might have a lot of payback coming my way."
"Yeah, and that's always a bitch." Bayley remarked.
"Exactly. But Becky can do what she wants to me, I can take it, and I'll win again in the future. I might not get to do this to her, but playing the game with her helps make life fun till we get out.
"Seems like just another risk to me, it's going to give you grief you don't want or need." Ronda didn't sound like she was saying this with much conviction, and Paige knew why.
"Who are you trying to convince here Ronda? Hmm?" Paige said with a raised eyebrow and a tone that made the question rhetorical.
"What?" Carmella didn't get the intent, while Bayley joined Paige by looking at Ronda, who was refusing to return the eye contact.
"Don't go there." Ronda started getting a look of anger on her face. Problem was practically the only two women in the world who were not intimidated by it were sat at the table with her.
"Erm. Maybe we should change the subject." Carmella said, ready to run for the hills.
"Mella, don't panic, she's not going to do anything, unless you say or do something really stupid, so just don't do that." Bayley tried to be reassuring, and Paige caught the look she gave, but that wasn't the focus at this time.
"Come on Ronda. Don't start deflecting. And that look doesn't work on me. If you don't want to take a chance, then don't, but why wouldn't you? What do you have to lose?" Paige said, successfully getting through the death stare.
"What do you think would happen? He jumps me and we have sex in his office? Then what?" Ronda paused, looking for a response, but none of them had one. "I've told you, more than once. There is no happily ever after. I don't get to jump on the back of his white horse and ride off into the sunset. He couldn't get me out of here. I couldn't even get a conjugal unless we were married over two years."
"How do you know that?" Paige asked.
"I told her." Bayley interjected. The number of women who told me what they really need is to get laid is, hell I can't even count. They want to get their man in, but not behind the glass of visitation."
"There's glass in visitation?" Paige asked.
"Yeah, bullet proof glass. In case anyone tries something stupid, like escaping. Also for protection. People think that someone who goes to prison is going to turn rat right away, and they will look to stop that."
"They get a gun in there?" Paige said sceptically.
"They've tried. I've been around visitation a lot before. I've seen several people arrested for trying to bring stuff in they shouldn't. Drugs, cellphones, weapons. We never ask them what they planned to do with the weapon. That's for the police to find out. Point is, they still have needs."
"Needs is right." Carmella said, making the same eyes at Bayley as earlier.
"But why two years?" Paige asked.
"So criminals don't get married before doing a job in case they get busted. Only proper married couples get the right to apply. Plus a lot of spouses get divorces when their other half goes to jail for that long or more. So someone who can wait two years loves you for real." Bayley answered.
"See? So where is the upside? The best relationship we could have is, well, is there anything that's good?" Ronda blurted out, a little emotional.
"Well long term there is, but to get to that you would have to wait for at least a couple of years." Paige said, meaning well, but not helping.
"And I've got the time right? No. I can't do without our regular contact. I just will have to keep this to myself. That might be the closest to your so called fairy tale, but life really isn't that kind."
"And it won't be if you never take a chance." Paige fired back. She could see Ronda was thinking about it all, but she didn't respond before another voice was heard.
"Lunchtime ladies. Line up!" Guard Langston bellowed at the top of his lungs.
"Geez, who needs a PA system with him around." Carmella said as the four of them walked to the line and got their food. Paige spotted as she was in line that Becky had not moved from the table. She thought that was strange, hoped that she wasn't feeling well. She got her tray and as she headed over to check, she spotted the smirk on Becky's face again, and she knew that wasn't going to be good for her.
"Thank you baby." Becky said in a sickly sweet tone.
"For what?" Paige was rightly apprehensive.
"You got my lunch for me. So very good of you."
"What? No I didn't…" Paige trailed off, knowing what was happening.
"Yes you did, very kind. I'll take that tray now." Paige released her grip on the tray and allowed her girlfriend to take it. She sighed loudly, on purpose, and went to the back of the line once more for her own food.
"Uh, didn't you already come through here?" The inmate serving food asked whether it was finally Paige's turn again.
"Yeah, but…
"No buts, and no second helpings. Don't you know the rules?"
"Yes I do, but I.." Paige tried to explain but the server wasn't going to listen.
"Then why are you asking for more? I'm not getting them on my case for you!" This outburst attracted the attention on the nearest guard.
"Is there a problem here?"
"She's trying to get a second meal sir." The server immediately told him.
"I'm not, I haven't eaten yet." Paige protested, giving an evil eye to the server for squealing.
"I saw you take a tray. You know it's one per person, no exceptions. So go sit down, or have a day in the lock, with the food that comes with that. I'm sure you wouldn't want that."
"No sir." Paige walked away without another word, not wanting even a minute in solitary. She went back to her table.
"Not hungry?" Becky asked sarcastically.
"You did that on purpose. You knew I'd get trouble." Paige sulked.
"Oh, am I using my powers for evil?" Becky continued her sarcasm. "And to think you never used your wins to get one up on me, or make me do something I didn't want to do. Oh no, wait, that's what you always did."
"But babe, I'm hungry." Paige whined, twirling her fingers in Beckys hair in an attempt to be cute. "And I didn't always do mean things, some things you didn't complain about." She reduced her voice to a whisper.
"Yeah, and the days not out yet, maybe you won't hate all of it. Maybe you'll thank me. After all, it's not good to do exercise on a full stomach."
"Exercise, do you mean…" Paige got in close to her girl, thinking her luck might be in.
"Exactly right, you're going to volunteer to be Charlotte's training buddy." Becky had trouble stopping herself laughing. Paige backed off completely, moving to the opposite seat on the table.
"You serious?"
"As it gets. She will stretch you and work your body to its limits. Don't go as mad as you did before though. I want you in one piece this time." Becky spoke with her continued smugness, but Paige thought back to when she worked out too hard, hurt herself and nearly gotten in trouble when she couldn't comply with the guards orders.
"No chance of that, but do I really have to? Come on babe." Paige tried to be alluring, hoping to change Becky's mind.
"Nope. And don't be under any illusions, I will be watching. You disobey me, and there will be repercussions."
Paige snorted. "Repercussions? What could you do? You'd never be able to make a sex ban stick, and that's about as bad as you can do. Go on, what repercussions?" Paige said in a face scary tone of voice.
"How about breaking your coffee heater thing?" Suddenly Paige wasn't being so smart.
"You wouldn't."
"Try me."
"But I don't have any funds for a new one."
"I know."
"You wouldn't."
"Again, try me."
Paige knew she had lost this. She didn't believe for a second Becky would be so cruel, it wasn't her, but it wasn't a risk worth taking. "Ok, you win." She said quietly.
Becky grinned. "Good decision. You lost. You do what I tell you today. Have fun." Paige had no comeback so they sat in silence while Becky finished eating and waited for the inevitable call to yard time.
Charlotte was in the yard doing her warm ups when she realised Paige was standing there, not saying anything. "Uh, you need something?" She asked.
"Yeah, I was wondering if you could give me a workout?" Paige said, not realising how badly that was phrased.
"I don't think Becky would like that." Charlotte smirked.
"No, she wants me to. I think she's getting some sadistic pleasure out of watching you make me sweat." Paige said, looking on in annoyance as Charlotte started laughing. "What the hell, Char?"
"Ok, Paige, stop for a second and think about what you said." Charlotte said, enjoying the realisation coming across her friends face.
"Oh, god, I wasn't, I meant, no, I didn't mean."
"I get it, but that was too much fun. No chance you'd be hitting on me, and even less with Becky's permission. I'm sure we'd make a great couple, but you know she'd kill us both."
They both laughed at this. Paige looked around at Becky, who grinned at her, not aware of the conversation topic.
"Right, but if you want to workout, I'm at your service." Charlotte got down to business, showing she understood all along, getting herself a look of annoyance. She chose to ignore this look and began stretching, encouraging Paige to follow on. The dark haired woman followed her instruction this time, partly as she remembered what happened before, partly because she kept looking over to see that Becky was sat on a bench nearby. She was in conversation with Nattie, but Becky's eyes were squarely on her, making sure she was doing what she was told.
"Ok, I'll admit it." Paige said when Charlotte brought it to a close, the two of them sat on the ground. "You're actually a good instructor. I have no idea what I'm doing, but it seemed quite easy."
"Well, I did keep it basic for you. Not that you couldn't handle more, but I wanted you to have a better opinion of it all." Charlotte said, with an air of hesitance.
"Well I do. It was ok, and I guess I should try and get some more exercise. I'm still feeling pretty sore, but I'm still able to stand, so it's all good." They shared a laugh at the intended joke.
"Thanks." Charlotte said after. "I'd like to do this properly, but I don't see them making an exercise class mandatory. I doubt many would want to follow my instruction, there's enough of that going on here."
"And you would have to get yourself out of your admin job, and is 'you know who' likely to allow that?" Paige asked, thinking she knew the answer."
"Maybe, if I got him in the right mood. I used to have him wrapped around my finger, till what happened."
"Then why haven't you tried?" Paige asked.
"Because he is never in that mood when I've been around him. Not that there have been many times where there hasn't been someone else right there. Just when he puts work on my desk. That's still awkward. I don't know what to say to him, and I don't think he does either. It would probably turn aggressive, and that's the last thing I want."
"I get that, but if you don't ask, you won't get. The worst he can say is no." Paige tried to reason with her.
"The worst he can do is say no, and belittle me for killing his pride and joy. I might have been Daddy's girl in the past, but he was the only thing I could never be. Especially when he made his desire to be a cop known. He wanted me to go to the academy, but it wasn't what I wanted. He accepted it, but then he put all his support behind Reid. I went off the rails. Drink, drugs, you know the story. Then I picked him up while drunk off my face, and you know the rest. He won't forgive me for that, much less grant me any favours."
"Sounds like you don't want him to." Paige said. "You have to forgive yourself too. You are serving your time for what happened. That won't change, but if you don't, then how can you expect him to?"
"It's not just that." Charlotte had hesitancy in her voice. "He was angry at me for what happened with…her."
"You mean…." Paige started, but was interrupted by the arrival of her cellmate.
"Whatcha doing just sitting on the ground?" Becky asked.
"Just talking. But we are finished." Charlotte stood up, glad of the timing. "I'll see you both later." Charlotte walked away at speed.
"Your hair is a mess." Becky knelt down next to her lover and put it back in the pigtails.
"Really?" Paige asked.
"What, you still look cute." Becky smirked as the buzzer rang out to order them all back into the cell block. Becky helped Paige to her feet and held her hand while they weren't seen by guards. They joined Ronda and hung out for a while. Paige looked for Charlotte but there was no sign, she accurately concluded that she had returned to her cell, not wanting to continue the conversation.
Charlotte did emerge when dinner was called, but Paige knew not to approach her. Her first concern was if she was going to get to eat. She looked at Becky in a particularly pathetic manner, looking for pity, and she got it. Becky stood up and they went to the line together, getting their food and returning to their table.
"Calm down, don't want you getting indigestion." Becky joked as Paige attacked the mediocre food with intent. She got some sort of short, sharp response but it was indecipherable. "I'll take that as you saying you love me, because you wouldn't talk back to me, not today, right?"
The tone wasn't serious, but since the penalty for disobedience was an extension of the forfeit time, Paige bit her tongue and smiled in a sickly sweet way.
"Well I hope you enjoyed that. Now go get yourself one of your coffees. In fact, make me one too. Still a long time left till the morning, and you aren't sleeping it away."
"Why, what are you…" Paige stopped herself mid sentence. The mischievous look on her girls face told her all she needed to know about her plans. She did as she told and willed the evening lock up to come, even retiring to her cell a little early to be ready.
"So, mistress. What would you like." Paige asked sultrily when the time came and their cell door was locked.
"I want you to listen right now." Becky said, to the surprise of her girlfriend. "I need to get this off my chest while I can. I haven't been the partner, girlfriend, lover, whatever. You deserve better."
"What the hell are you talking about Becks?" Paige asked angrily. "That's absolute crap, and you know it. I don't want anything else, I just want you. Don't talk like that."
"I told you to listen. I'll let it slide this time, but one more and I'll call it failure to follow the bet. Now then. I'm not talking breakup, or taking a break or anything. I'm simply going to be a better girlfriend, and especially as a lover. So tonight, I'm going to make up for lost time. Now lie back and enjoy it. That's the last order I'm going to give you."
Paige did as she was told and Becky lived up to what she said for many hours.
"I don't know where this now found confidence has come from, but don't you ever hold it back again." Paige said, once she finally got her breath back.
"It came from you. I'm not going to be that timid, scared girl who hides herself away any more. With you by my side, there's nothing we can't do. I feel like I could even go head to head with Lita right now."
"Listen to you, all dominant. I can't say it doesn't turn me on, but we better be at least a little careful. For one, you don't want Lita to hear you say that, or for that matter, the guards. How we didn't get caught I don't know. That's the loudest when have ever been, I'm sure."
Because the guards don't care, or they get off on it. I'll give them a show if it's the only way to get what I want. One day I'll have you all to myself without any worries. Till then we will have to put up with it, and make sure that Evans woman isn't about. She doesn't even like us kissing."
"Good job she doesn't work 24-7 then." Paige quipped.
"Damn right. You're mine, I'm yours, and that's not changing. Ever. Prison or not, whatever anyone tries to do to us. And I do mean anyone."
"I know you do babe. And don't worry, we will be ok. Now we likely don't have much time till they wake us, so if we want some sleep we better get our heads down."
"And if I don't want sleep?" Becky asked.
"I thought you'd say that." Paige replied with a wink.
A.N.: Thanks for reading.
I hope you enjoyed that, was meant to be a little lighter in order to bring things back into the prison, where it will all likely be for a while.
As I said before, if you have anyone, or anything you'd like to see, please drop me a message, or leave a review.
Since completing the chapter, Paige has left WWE at the end of her contract. She absolutely wont be leaving the story though. I always thought that I would be far angrier than I am on this day. I have no ill will to WWE, even if I disagree with their call not to re-sign her. They kept their end of the deal on her contract and thats all I can ask, plus they paid tribute online, which i never expected. I'm her fan for life after what she did for me without having a clue she was doing it. Her goodbye to WWE is online now and is very well written too. I look forward to seeing whats next for her, in wrestling or not.
