Kibblechemy Chapter 1.
What a strange cat! Alphonse had never seen such a kitty before; its fur was pink as a little girl's candy land. The cat was walking through the alleyway next to the general store where Ed had sent Al to pick up some mechanic lubricant. Al knew he would be running late if he went to chase the cat… but he couldn't resist. It was just too cute! He could probably tell Ed that the dogs mistook him for a fire hydrant again anyways.
"Here kitty!" he called, chasing after the cat, which scampered through the alley. He pursued the cat through the maze, his metal body unable to feel the fatigue of an organic form. The cat kept up the pace for what seemed like hours, but eventually it succumbed to its own organic fallibility, and went to rest in a box.
"Don't worry kitty, I won't hurt you" Al cooed the ball of fluff before him. The cat responded with a hiss and a shudder. "Here" Al said, clapping his hands together. The organic molecules from the ground arose from the ground and restructured themselves, thanks to the 'magic' of alchemy. The matter formed into a certain kitty addiction within the hollow suit of armor.
The catnip roused the cat's attention, and with a 'meow' of gratitude, it dove into the decadently perfumed armor. Al put his head back on and sighed "If only I could feel the warmth of a beating heart…" Al the armor walked back to the inn where his brother was waiting, kitty in stow.
Upon opening the door, a bucket of water from above greeted the hapless Al, who spun around wildly.
"Gah! The apocalypse is upon us! The world has gone dark!" he panicked. He was answered by the sounds of laughter as Ed and Winry revealed them-selves from behind a couch.
"Ha! We got you Al!" Ed laughed, as Winry stifled a giggle. Al felt heavy from what must've been disappointment.
"Come on big brother! That was mean! I feel kinda sick, so I'm going to bed" he retorted, dropping the lubricant he had bought and walking sluggishly to his room.
"Ed! You might've given him a cold! I told you this was a bad idea!" Winry scolded, smacking Ed with a wrench.
"Hey! Since when do suits of armor get sick?" Ed responded angrily, rubbing his bruise.
In his room, Alphonse was asking himself the same question. "Maybe the kitty soaked up all the water" he asked himself, and pulled off his head to peer inside his armor. What he saw was definitely not a cat… it was a human, with cat ears!
Al could only stare in shock.
