(One week later/July 28)

It had been one week since it was announced that the Vytal festival was going to be moved one month early and many people were beginning to make preparations early. And Ironwood had taken it upon himself to bring his airships and jets to Beacon to start setting security measures up. But Ozpin and Glynda knew his real intentions.

Those same airships had now been swarming Beacon Academy for a while as Glynda and Ozpin gazed out the window of his office.

Glynda groaned as she witnessed what was happening down below and was just annoyed by it all.

"Ironwood sure does love bringing his work with him, doesn't he" groaned Glynda.

"Well running an academy and a military does make him a busy man" quipped Ozpin.

"But they are an eye sore" continued Ozpin as he heard the elevator beeping.

"Come in" said Ozpin as he turned around to face the elevator.

Out of the elevator stood a man that was well dressed and clean, much like Ozpin. He wore a white overcoat, with a gray undercoat, black sweater, a red necktie, and a white glove on his right hand. His suit pants shared the same color as his overcoat and were tucked into silver boots accented in gray.

His hair was black, with some silver and gray areas, while his eyebrows were solid black. He had a strip of silver metal above his right eyebrow, a neurotransmitter that helped him operate the robotic parts of his body.

This is James Ironwood, General of the Atlas military and Headmaster of Atlas Academy. He is one of the few people in Ozpin's Faction who knows about the truth of the World of Remnant.

"General" greeted Ozpin.

"Please. Drop the formalities. It's been too long" said Ironwood shaking Ozpins hand.

"And Glynda. It's good to see you too" said James as he held out his hand for her to shake.

All Glynda did was see grunt in annoyance and said "I'll be outside if you need me" as she took the elevator down.

"Well she certainly hasn't changed in years" said James.

"So what has brought you to Beacon? Its not normal for headmasters to come with their students to the Vital festival" said Ozpin pouring some tea.

"Well you know how much I love Vale this time of year. Plus with you hosting the festival, I figured this would be a good time to catch up, even if its been moved a month. Better now then never" said James as he walked over to Ozpin's desk.

" I am all for meeting old friends but the fleet outside has me concerned" said Ozpin.

"Well concern is what brought them here" said James

"I understand that travel between kingdoms has become increasingly difficult..."

"Oz... You know why I brought those men here. And why I'm here" said James in a concern voice.

Ozpin sighed in worry and fear saying "This is a time of peace. Shows of power like this are going to give off the wrong impression. And with the way you act, you're going to have to be more specific as your real reason for being here" said Ozpin.

"Why wasn't I informed about him? If he's a part of your academy then you had to have known about what he can do" said Ironwood in a serious voice.

Ozpin sighed as he said "Indeed, I did know of his powers" said Ozpin pulling up a video file of Rex, battling the grim and the recent news story they had of him.

Jame looked at the video and was still intrigued by Rex's powers. At first, he was surprised seeing him grow metal out of his body but also how he defeated a group of White Fang members. But now, he was watching him take down two giant grim on his own and seeing his different builds gave Ironwood more intrigue.

"Extraordinary. His powers really are incredibly. I too have never seen such strength. Alone, he not only taken down a group of White Fang members but now he's defeated two giant grim that one lone huntsman would have trouble fighting. And with such strength. Who is this strange boy. Have you any idea of his background" said James acting excited.

"Well that's the thing. We have no information about him. On our first week of the academy, he was founded by Ruby Rose. Just laying on the ground. Normally I wouldn't allow him into the academy but after his display of power, it sort of... caught my interest" said Ozpin as he watched the videos.

"Well of course. With powers like those, I'd be surprised by anyone that wasn't interested in him. He's like a one man army. Could it be his semblance?" asked James.

"I don't believe it is since when he gets hit, his body doesn't glow when a semblances defenses are used. So no, its not his semblance but just his own abilities" informed Ozpin.

"If it's not his semblance and it is his own abilities, it reminds me of..." said James, but was stopped by Ozpin.

"I ask that you don't go saying those names around, even if we are alone" scolded Ozpin.

"Fine but I must ask you. If this boy was at your school, then why..." asked James.

"...Because I didn't want you to do something drastic had I told you about what that boy can do. His powers may make him strong, but he's still a child. With emotions and all that" said Ozpin in a mixture of frustration and exaggeration.

Ironwood was a bit taken back by his sudden outburst but then said "Ozpin, I know that I can make some drastic changes or things, but I wouldn't experiment on a child like that if that's what you're implying. Yes, I would like to know how his powers work but I wouldn't harm a boy like that. The only reason that I ask these questions is because I've read some comments about the boy and they mentioned the boy was at your school for a couple of weeks, meaning that you've known about him for weeks but you never mentioned him to me or any of the other headmasters. Why Oz?" asked James.

"Because the boy begged us not to tell anyone about his powers. When he first came to this academy, me and Glynda had a talk with him. And he begged us not to tell anyone because he feared that he would be targeted by criminals or military people. And let me tell you,James. He's had military experience but he didn't have the best time with its people. So we didn't tell you because we figured he didn't want to deal with you and your authority as a general of the Atlas military. He hasn't had the best experience when it comes to military people. We only did it out of respect for the boy" said Ozpin leaning back in his chair.

Ironwood was surprised by Ozpin's words. Bad experience with military. What did he mean. Atlas was the only military branch in the world and he never met someone like Rex.

"What are you talking about. What other military is there in the world other than Atlas's. Oz, you're not making any sense" asked Ironwood.

"I know, James. But like I said, he begged us not to tell anyone and we respected his wishes. After all, he saved my students so we at least owed him that" said Ozpin as he watched the clips of Rex again, before turning them off.

"Ozpin, I saw the news clip from my office. I saw what he can do. Not only did he battled the White fang single handedly and won, he's already painted a target for himself for not only them but other criminals in the world. And that could also mean Salem's goons. And if what Qrow said was true then..."

"If what Qrow said was true then we'll handle it" snapped Ozpin.

"It's the Vytal Festival. A time for unity and peace. I don't want you scaring people by transporting soldiers across the continent" said Ozpin.

"I'm just being cautious" said James concerningly.

"As am I. Which is why we will continue to train the students to become hunters and huntresses" said Ozpin.

The thought of hunters and huntresses brought him back to Rex.

"Ozpin. I need you to be honest with me. You've told me a lot and I've held my part in keeping Salem away from the relics as have everyone else. But I need to know. Have you learned anything else about that boy, whatever his name is" questioned James.

"He said his name is Rex Salazar. But when we first saw him on our screens when our initiation started, after searching through many records, he was never in our list of students nor was mentioned anywhere else. As if he never existed. And it did have me concerned. But when he and some others came to the school, I had a chat with him. And he did tell us exactly who he was. And his powers. But after that, he begged us not to tell anyone because he didn't want to attract attention to himself. And we were able to keep that agreement because it was his decision and me and Glynda had no choice to respect that" said Ozpin as he gazed at his computer.

Ironwood groaned as he said "You know what I mean. Oz, this isn't the time for playing games. Did you learn anything important or not" as he snapped at Ozpin.

Ozpin sighed as he knew who he was talking about but he knew his friend all to well to know where he was going with this.

"Yes, we did learn some things. He is a very interesting student, I might add. Never in my many years at this academy have I seen a boy with powers such as this. So I was of course curios about his powers. But we made him a promise that we wouldn't show anyone his powers because we knew that It might cause some problems, which meant not telling you" said Ozpin as he looked at Ironwood what a serious face.

Ironwood leaned forward and said "And why not?"

"If you were paying attention, because it was his decision. You may see his powers as amazing and could be something for you to use for your armies, it was still his decision. He's still human, just a bit extra" said Ozpin as he took a sip of coffee then set it down.

"Do you see now, James? We couldn't tell you because Rex told us not to. Out of respect for saving the students and also stopping the White Fang, we still kept our agreement with Rex not to tell anyone, just keep it between us" said Ozpin.

"So does that mean, you don't trust me to tell the truth about whoever he is" said Ironwood with a serious voice but was a bit hurt by his words.

"Of course, I would've told you about him. He's a powerful boy that he could help us with our Salem situation. But he begged us not to tell anyone. Had word gotten out because of us, we feared we might driven him away because he would feel he couldn't trust anymore. And feared he might get caught by Salem. So we kept things under wrap. But now, that doesn't matter anymore. He's secret is out and its caused trouble for all of us. parents are begging that we send their children back because they don't want them around him" said Ozpin in a serious tone, surprising James with his words.

"Hence why I wanted to move the Vytal Festival closer. Because we can then show people publicly that he is on our side and the with him, the students can be protected. That he can be trusted. And the sooner, the better. But there's one main reason that I couldn't say anything about him to you" said Ozpin, looking at Ironwood with a serious face.

"What would that be?" asked James, curious about his reason but also worried.

"As I mentioned, he's had military experience, meaning he's been in a military branch before, but he hasn't had the best of experience with them. He's not really the most excited when it comes of military personal. And when I mentioned you to him, he didn't seem all that thrilled" said Ozpin, surprising James.

"But why? We've never met, so why would he feel like that towards me?" asked James.

"He's dealt with some difficult authority people but some of people he was with had experimented on him. And he has his worries that you might be one of those people" said Ozpin.

"But you know me. That I would never experiment on children. I just want to understand what his powers are. With him being on the news, he made himself known to the world and its only a matter of time before Salem could strike" said Ironwood with a slight shocked expression, but was stopped by Ozpin saying "And he knows that."

This confused Ironwood as he asked "Wait, what do you mean by that?"

"He realizes the threat that Salem is" said Ozpin as he sighed and leaned back in his chair.

"When he showed up on the news, I knew that me and Glynda had to tell him everything. Salem, the relics, and the maidens because we knew that Salem might send someone after him so we needed to inform him of what was coming and what to expect. And after all that, I had mentioned that the headmasters also knew about all of these things but when I had mentioned you, he had his doubts. But that was only because of his past. So he came to a decision" said Ozpin.

"And what was that?" asked James.

"He figured that since you also knew everything and were going to be coming to this school eventually, he figured that it would be best if you also knew. But he had two condition" said Ozpin.

"And what was that?"asked James.

"That he talks with you about himself, and that what he says, you must not tell anyone about him" said Ozpin.

Ironwood was surprised that those were his conditions as he then said "I see. Well whether I learn more about him or not, I'm more interested in his powers. Could it be possible if I use him on our dangerous missions, perhaps?"

Ozpin slammed his cup on his desk, shocking James out of his trance. "Now James, I'm not going to tell you how to run your military but that boy is off limits. I don't want him on your dangerous missions. He is my student and he is to remain here until he is a fully fledged Hunter" scolded Ozpin.

"But look at his powers. He could easily win a fight and not have problems on our missions. If he can take down two giant grim where several people couldn't take down one, then this kid is almost invincible" retorted James.

"My answer still stands, James. Mr. Salazar is not joining your military" scolded Ozpin.

James sighed as he said "I'm just trying to keep things at peace here and this boy could be a valuable asset to us" said James.

Ozpin sighed as he knew James always wants what's best for things but he didn't want him going out and risk getting captured. He had no idea what Salem was doing so he didn't want to take the risk of losing Rex to her. Besides, Ozpin was already in enough trouble as it is.

With the news reports of Rex battling the White Fang at the sea, he had been getting several calls about Rex and many asking who he was but also calls from the parents of his other students, begin him to send the students home. He had enough on his plate to deal with.

He sighed in annoyance as he and James looked at each other one last time before James said "I know that I've made some errors in the past that makes you question me but I'm just trying to keep death from happening to these good people. At least think about that" said James as leaned back in his chair.

He then leaned forward and said "That boy may have powers this world has never seen before but do you really think that we can trust him to stop Salem" said James as he stared at Ozpin with a serious but also curious look.

As he left Ozpin thought in silence until he said "I hope it doesn't come to that but I feel like he could be the key to ending it all. I just hope he can do it" said Ozpin as he looked at the screen and pondered in thought.

Library

Team RRWBY, minus Rex, were playing a card game across from JNPR.

Rex was continuing his readings on the history of Remnant. After learning about Salem, he decided to dig deeper the worlds history. He decided not ask anyone about her because,

So far, he couldn't find any information about Salem. He also began to think about the other problems that seemed to have surfaced for Rex to worry about, like the White Fang that Blake talked about and the Grimm.

So on top of finding Salem and stopping her, he had to deal with the White Fang and the Grimm. He just groaned at how already jam packed his hero duties were getting. He also didn't find any history on why their moon was broken and looked like it was almost in the shape of a crescent moon.

As he kept reading, his teammates were playing Remnant: The Game. Ruby and Yang seemed to know hat was going on but Blake and Weiss were still left in the dark.

"Hmmmmm... All right... All right!" said Ruby, pointing at Yang.

"Yang Xiao Long, prepare your kingdom for battle!" exclaimed Ruby, bursting with excitement.

"Bring it" replied Yang with her hand balled into a fist.

"I deploy the Atlesian Air Fleet!" said Ruby as she slapped her card down on the table, causing Yang to gain a look of shock.

"Looks like I get to fly right over your Ursai and attack your walls directly!" yelled Ruby, making noises like airplanes flying and bombing as she made a bird with her hands.

"You Fiend!" exclaimed Yang, dramatically as she pointed at Ruby.

"And since Atlas is part of Mantle, my repair time is only one turn" said Ruby before her older half-sister started to laugh arrogantly.

"Pretty sneaky, sis, but you just activated my trap card!" said Yang as she flipped over the card, making Ruby very nervous.

"If I roll a seven or higher, fatal feathers will slice your fleet in two!" explained Yang as a scene of a Nevermore was flying over a field of swords impaled in the ground as it plays over the conversation.

Not to be outdone by her older half-sister, she began to point at her while saying to her, "But, if you roll a six or lower, the Nevermore will turn on your own forces!" countered Ruby as the Nevermore from earlier is now shown to be turning back toward Yang, destroying her Army while making her lose the game in the process.

"That's just a chance I'm willing to take" said Yang glaring at her sister while getting ready to roll, landing a perfect 10.

"Nooooo! My fearless soldiers!" cried Ruby out as she was close to tears.

"I'm pretty sure they were all Robots any way" said Yang.

"BAH! I say BAH!" cried out Ruby.

"Not until I draw my rewards! Which are double this round thanks to the Mistral Trade Route!" said Yang.

"Oh, and what's this? The Smugglers of Wind Path?" asked Yang, allowing herself to draw two cards.

"Bah! I say Bah!" cried Ruby in frustration.

"I say, it looks like I'm taking two cards in my hand!" replied Yang.

"Have you no heart?" exclaimed Ruby before putting her head on the table with a groan.

"Well, Weiss, it's your turn" said Yang, happily ignoring her little sister's groaning.

"I have... absolutely no idea what's going on" said Weiss, staring at the cards blankly.

Sliding over to her white haired teammate Yang began to help her out.

"Look, it's easy! You're playing as Vacuo which means that all Vacuo-based cards come with a bonus" explained Yang, trying to make it look like it's easy.

"That sounds dumb" replied Weiss, still not understanding this board game.

"See, you've got Sandstorm, Desert Scavenge... Oh, oh!" said Yang, looking through her cards until she found a really good one.

"Resourceful Raider! See, now you can take Ruby's discarded Air Fleet—" explained Yang, only pausing for Ruby to cry "Nooo!", "—and put it in your hand!" finished Yang.

"Okay" said Weiss, still having no idea of what she's saying.

"And since Vacuo warriors have an endurance against Natural-based hazards, you can use Sandstorm to disable my ground forces and simultaneously infiltrate my kingdom!" explained Yang, happily before She pointed at her sister's partner.

"Just know that I will not forget this declaration of war" added Yang before sliding back to her seat.

"And that means...?" asked Weiss.

"You're just three moves away from conquering Remnant!" cried Ruby, causing Weiss to stand and a thunder clap accompanied Weiss' overjoyed psychotic laughter.

"Y-yes! Fear the almighty power of my forces! Cower as they pillage your homes and weep as they take your children from your very arms!" exclaimed Weiss, dramatically.

"Trap card..." said Yang as she slapped a card on the table.

"Huh?" asked Weiss as she didn't know what that meant.

"Your armies have been destroyed" answered Yang, shuffling the pieces on the board as Weiss's pieces disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"I hate this game of emotions we play" cried Weiss, slumping in her chair with Crocodile Tears before Ruby hops into Weiss's lap crying with her partner.

"Stay strong, Weiss! We'll make it through this together!" said Ruby.

"Shut up! Don't touch me!" shouted Weiss, hugging her partner.

"Blake. It's your turn" said Yang as she turned to look at her.

"Sorry, What am I doing?" asked Blake, completely distracted.

"You're playing as Vale, trying to conquer the Kingdoms of Remnant!" explained Yang.

"Right" replied Blake, not really listening.

"Hey! Can I play?" asked Jaune, coming over to their table.

"Sorry Jaune, we've already have four players" said Ruby to her fellow socially awkward Leader.

"Besides, this game requires a certain level of tactical cunning that I seriously doubt that you possess" said Weiss in a mocking tone.

"Says the one attacked her own naval fleet 2 turns ago" said Yang, making Weiss cross her arms in annoyance.

"Bring it on, Ice Queen! I'll have you know that I have been told that I am a natural born leader!" said Jaune with confidence in his tone.

"By who your mom?" Weiss asked sarcastically.

"And Pyrrha" said Jaune, making everyone look towards the table next to them, seeing the waving Spartan.

"Hello again" replied Pyrrha, sweetly.

"Come on, let me play your hand for a turn" begged Jaune.

"I'm not trusting you with the good citizens of Vacuo!" replied Weiss, stubbornly.

Rex just chuckled at their arguing until a familiar Blonde Monkey Faunus and his blue haired friend came walking in

"Sup losers" said Sun with Neptune next to him.

"Hey sun" said Ruby.

Sun began saying hello to team RRWBY but called Weiss "Ice Queen" to which she replied "why does everyone keep calling me that?!"

"Because I was the one that gave you that name. Suits your personality, if you ask me" said a voice from behind a bookshelf which revealed to be Rex.

"Hey man. How's it going?" said Neptune as the Goggle Duo bumped fists.

"I didn't get a chance for you to meet my old friend here. Meet Neptune" introduced Sun.

Neptune began walking over to Weiss saying "I don't believe I caught your name, snow angel" as Jaune silently said "Are you kidding me."

"Come in dude. You can pick better than that" thought Rex in disbelief.

He then heard Blake said something about not playing anymore and began walking away. He looked towards her and wanted to follow her but figured she didn't want to talk to anyone.

He felt sorry for Blake. This world seemed to be discriminated when it came to Faunus. And since she was part cat, she had felt that part of the world she wish didn't exist.

To be honest, Rex saw a little bit of himself in Blake. They both wanted to become heros and they've been hated by people of their world.

On Rex's world, people didn't like that an Evo was the supposed "Hero" of their world. They threw garbage at him and telling him to get lost. At first, Rex decided that if they didn't want him then he wasn't going to risk his life for people. But then he realized that being a hero isn't about the fame or glory. It's about doing the right things for the right reasons. And he continued to do his job even if people hated him. And he's stuck by that reason for a long time now.

He broke out of his train of thought and figured that he should go and talk to her.

Timeskip

Blake was sitting alone in their dorm reading her journal until she heard a knock at the door. She looked up and saw Rex walking in. "Hey" was all he said as he walked over to her.

"Whatcha reading there?" he asked.

"Just...uh... notes for this semester" stuttered Blake as she shut her book.

"That's reminds me I have to...uh... talk to Professor Port about an assignment" said Blake as she sat up and began walking out of her room until she was stopped by Rex grabbing onto her arm saying "Don't just run away. Stay. Tell me what's wrong."

Blake was reluctant as she didn't want to talk about it but she knew that Rex wouldn't let it go so she obliged. She sat down on her bed as Rex did the same.

Blake sat quietly as to try and gather her emotions. She mustered up whatever courage she had and said "How can you be so calm about this?" yelled Blake.

"What do you mean?" asked Rex.

"You've made yourself an enemy of the White Fang and they could be planning an attack on you and we're just sitting here, doing nothing" continued Blake.

Rex moves back a little at her outburst then said "Blake I get that your angry worried. Trust me, I've been in the same boat as you for some time but you can't keep worrying about them. Worry about..."

"I can't stop worrying. The W.F. are ruthless. They want to hurt humans because of how much they hurt us" said Blake as she looked at her bow and drooped her head down a little.

"I get that but you forget that some of the Faunus here thanked me for taking the White Fang down a bit..." said Rex.

"Yea, but even so, the White Fang are criminals who will stop at nothing to reach their goals of taking down the humans in Remnant. Not with him out..." said Blake, but soon closed her mouth as she just realized what she just said.

Rex took notice of this and asked "Who's he?"

Blake began to think quickly at what to say next but before she could even say anything, the door to their room opened and the girls were complaining about the game they were playing.

"Ugh, we should have never let him play!" complained Yang.

"You're just mad cuz' the new guy beat you! See, if you had just attacked when I told you none of this would have happened." said Ruby, cheekily.

Blake just didn't want to deal with anyone so she sat up and began waking away. But before she could, Rex grabbed her arm, stopping her in her tracks.

"Stop walking away from us, Blake" he said, which made the rest of the team turn toward them.

"We're team RRWBY. We have each other's backs. We look out for each other. So please, let us help you" said Rex as he tried to reason with Blake.

"Yea Rex is right. Lately you've been quiet, antisocial and moody!" said Weiss.

"Uh, have you met Blake?" snarked Yang.

Weiss then said "Which I get is kind of your thing, but you've been doing it more than usual! Which quite frankly, is unacceptable! You made a promise to me, to all of us, that you would let us know if something was wrong!" as she then flipped in the air and onto a chair while pointing at Blake saying "So, Blake Belladonna, what is wrong?"

She still stood on the tilted chair until she put in back and returned back near the girls and Rex.

"I just, I don't understand how everyone can be so calm" said Blake.

Ruby began to approach Blake and said "You're still thinking about Torchwick?"

"Torchwick, the White Fang, all of it! Something big is happening and no one is doing anything about it!" exclaimed Blake.

"Ozpin told us not to worry. Between the police and the Huntsmen, I'm sure they can handle it." said Yang until Blake shouted saying,

"Well I'm not! They don't know the White Fang like I do! Rex battled with them at the docks and they are not going to take that lying down. They'll make a plan to retaliate and we're not doing anything about it" yelled Blake.

Weiss decided to try and calm everyone down as she said "Okay, between blowing up nightclubs, stopping thieves, and fighting for freedom, I'm sure the 4 of you think that you're all ready to go out and apprehend these ne'er-do-wells, but let me once again be the voice of reason" which made Rex snicker at her as she continued saying "We're students! We're not ready to handle this sort of situation!"

Ruby tried to argue with her by saying "Well yeah, but..." until Weiss stopped her by saying "We're not ready!"

"And we may never be ready! Our enemies aren't just going to sit around and wait for graduation day. They're out there, somewhere, planning their next move, and none of us know what it is, but it's coming! Whether we're ready or not!" yelled Blake.

"Ok well then what are we waiting for. Lets get out there and do something" said Rex as he clenched his fist.

"If these White Fang wanna fight, I'll give them one. I don't go down that easily" said Rex in confidence, as Weiss just groaned in annoyance while Yang smirked at his confidence.

But Blake stepped forward and said "But Rex, you've made yourself an enemy of the White Fang. Why go so far for them? For us? You could die" as she was happy he was willing to help her. But she was worried he would die.

Rex faced her and said "So what? If I die saving you guys, then that's all there is to it. The faunas are being made fun of and these White Fang guys aren't helping with that, so we need to stop them."

Blake was surprised by this and said "You'd really do that?"

"Yea. After all, you and Velvet are my friends, and the other faunas that liked what I did in stopping those fang creeps. And the fact that you deal with discrimination just because of a few appendages doesn't sit well with me. So yea, I'd do anything to stop this. Besides, its going to take a lot to try and kill me. So I'll be fine" said Rex as he gave her a thumbs up.

Ruby jumped in cheer as she then said "Alright, now all in favor of becoming the youngest huntresses"

"Ahem"

"Sorry youngest huntresses and hunter to bring down a corrupt organization conspiring against the kingdom of Vale... say I." said Ruby as she finished, sheepishly.

"Yes, I love it when you're feisty" cheered Yang

"I guess it could be fun" said Weiss.

"None of you said I" pouted Ruby.

"I" smirked Rex.

Ruby gasped and said "thank you" and rushed over and hugged Rex.

"Hey don't leave me out of the hug" smirked Yang and squeezed Rex and her sister.

But their hug didn't last forever. For as they hugged each other, the gang soon heard Ozpin over the loudspeaker saying "Rex Salazar, please report to my office."

Hearing this made the three separate from the hug as everyone stared up at the loudspeaker in their room. They were surprised by the sudden call but none more so than Rex. He knew he wouldn't call him to his office alone if wasn't important.

Weiss turned her attention to rex and said "What could he possibly want to talk to you about?" in a slight suspicious way.

"Heck if I know. That guy is a mystery. Sometimes its hard to tell what he's thinking but It must be important" said Rex as he let go of the sisters and began making his way over to window.

"I'll go see what he wants, then we'll work on something" said Rex as he opened the window and then jumped out.

He then formed his boogie pack and flew off towards the tower.

"Think he'll be ok?" asked Yang.

"He's overconfident and it can get annoying. But it can be a good thing in battle. Just hope he's not treating this like one big game" said Weiss in an annoyed tone.

Ruby then quickly placed her hands on her head and freaked out as she said "Oh no. I forgot my game in the library."

Weiss groaned as she pinched the bridge of her nose and said "We're doomed.

"Well good to know our priorities are in check" said Blake sarcastically.

"I'll be back. Don't start planning without me" said Ruby as she ran out into the halls as fast as she could until she ended up hitting someone.

"Ow. Sorry are you alright?" asked Ruby as the person held out their hand.

"Yes we're fine. Just watch where you're going" said the green haired girl, which turned out was Emerald.

Ruby excepted her hand as she got up and said "Sorry about that. I don't know when to stop" as she rubbed the back of her head.

"It's cool. Just keep an eye out when you're running around, why don't ya?" said the boy, which turned out to be Mercury.

"I'm Ruby" said Ruby as she waved hello to them as the two just nodded.

"So, are you guys transfer students?" asked Ruby.

"Just coming in from Haven, actually" said a voice from behind the two who revealed to be a woman with black hair and amber eyes, which was Cinder.

"Oh, so you're here for the festival. Well, exchange students have their own dormitory" said Ruby.

"I guess we just got lost" said Mercury.

"Oh don't worry happens all the time. Well, your building is east of here" said ruby as she pointed down the hall.

"Ok. Thanks for the directions" said the black haired woman.

Cinder and the rest began walking past Ruby until she stopped by her and said "By the way, I've been meaning to ask, but have you seen that strange boy with those metal powers we saw on the news. We've been dying to meet him" in a casual way.

Ruby was a bit nervous about how to respond as she wasn't sure what to say.

"Well, I'm sorry. He was here a while ago but he left to our headmaster's office so I don't know when he'll be back" said Ruby nervously.

"What? Is he that much of a trouble maker?" said Mercury, earning a head slap from Emerald.

"Oww" he exclaimed.

Cinder just sighed as she said "Well, that's a shame. He was so interesting I just had to meet him" in a casual way.

"Would you like me to leave a message?" said Ruby.

"No. We shouldn't bother him. He's probably a busy man so don't bother. Plus we'll be here for a while so we'll see him soon enough" said Cinder as she turned around and walked away from Ruby.

"Well it was nice meeting you. I can't wait to see what you can do at the festival" said Ruby to the group of three.

"Uh, yea. Same to you" said Emerald as they continued walking away from her.

"Oh and welcome to Beacon" yelled Ruby.

The lady smirked at what she said and said "Yes. I'm sure that our time here will be something to be...

Remembered."
